I've seen people on Twitter who believe endorsing Clinton was just a strategic move that would help him eventually become the nominee.

I mean, I'm kinda proud of Bernie.

Even in losing, he managed to get a lot of his agenda pushed to the front. Tweaked, somewhat reduced, sure, but I think he did a damn fine job all things considered.

Let's take what we got and run with it.

I am as well. He's shown himself to be everything I believed he was, I voted for him in the Primary and the stuff he got into the Platform is a big reason why. But I never saw him as a messiah, he was just a Senator that I started following because of the novelty of being the "only socialist in Congress" and ended up doing a lot of things I liked.

The interesting thing about him being the "only socialist in Congress" is that he's not even the most liberal Senator based on votes.

He has a pragmatic streak which is why I was expecting the endorsement to happen sooner rather than later.

I'm just saying that's the reason I had been following him before he decided to run for President. When I was 18 the fact that there was a guy in the Senate who actually claimed to not be a Democrat, but an out Socialist had a lot of appeal to me. Now I understand a lot more about the subject in general, but that was almost 10 years ago.

They also missed the half-dozen or so times that he was directly asked if he would consider running as a third-party or independent candidate if he didn't get the nomination, and stated in no uncertain terms that he would not do so, as this would risk handing the office over to the Republicans. Even over the past month, I've been seeing supporters thinking that he had something up his sleeve, or that he'd cause a convention floor fight, or some such nonsense. That's right: they really thought that the most above-board, straightforward, no-bullshit (as opposed to Trump's faux-no bullshit) candidate in the race was planning some sneaky runaround.

People often said it was too bad Benson wasn't at the top of the ticket instead. I have been thinking this cycle is resembling 1988 structurally and in a few other details. Picking Pence would be another detail. Hope Hillary doesn't go with a Quayle like candidate on us (young and inexperienced).

She can finally break out of the Wall Street shell (which I'm assuming she's been a part of merely for practical reasons, not wanting her enemies to have a weapon that she doesn't) while energizing the youth.
