"While I'm not at liberty to announce how The Rood's leaks could have led to the success of the attack at this time, I can tell you that this is a perfect example of why we should crack down on organizations like this one," announced LISA director Joe Blythe. "Had we not gotten lucky with the tips of concerned citizens, the Rood would have directly led to a successful domestic terrorist attack that had the potential to kill dozens, perhaps even hundreds."
While LISA hasn't specifically announced what form the attack would have taken, they have announced the potential for damage was "staggering" and that it's choice of target was "very deliberate".
"The attack was definitely targeting the politically aware populace who support our new democracy," Quorum representative Afram Kwaku said. "Asorists cannot and will not compromise their vision of democracy for something effective and powerful, like the new hegemonic order."
In response to the attack, the Quorum has announced that they will be expanding the data surveillance capabilities of both LISA and ANIA in order to shore up further possible information leaks. Furthermore, Hegemon Wessich has stated that the Quorum will be discussing whether to consider The Rood and similar hacktivist organizations as terrorist sympathizers. If classified in this manner, hackers associated with The Rood could be arrested and held in debtor's prisons indefinitely.
