Colonel Aisling is quick to be more amicable. "What my colleague means to say, is that he would like to nominate the honourable Far'ha of Rawhein for the position of Secretary General, if Thouzai'Far'ha will take it.

"Additionally, I also announce that Causer is running for Executive Council and I am running for a position on the Strategic Espionage Unit."

Far'Ha...blinked. "I- Thank you, Thouzai'Shling. It is good to see our previous disagreements did not extend to a personal dislike, and I accept your endorsement." He sat, the great old chair feeling less solid than it had the day he had been alone in a room of aliens, and it was the one thing to reassure him of his home. He hadn't considered the SG - frankly, given the war he was surprised to have been let in in the first place. But still - had he not passed an amendment with unanimity? Had he not led the criticism of a badly flawed treaty that placed foreign powers above their members?

He briefly stood up and stepped back, passing a scribbled piece of paper to one of the assembly couriers who sealed it in a diplomatic packet before jogging to the telecom offices. Char'Ha would want to know about this.

"I look forward to our great organization displaying is capacity for decision making. Yet again I shall remind the representatives; that there is a separation between sovereign agreements and alliance wide agreements. And the previous comments assumed much in the way of my and my nations intent of attempting the latter. When of course we all know that is far beyond the purview of this office but not beyond the preview of our own nations goverment, to suggest otherwise is mere rumor.


Does it make sense for the Terran's or I as a servant of this assembly destroy all that we've built by subjugating ourselves to terms obviously unacceptable? Our office advised them to bring their document forth here for debate. They must have misunderstood it as a "signing". No one goes in to as I mentioned before a chamber of assembly to sign a document that had not been previously been voted on. Nor I might add seen by even myself, or any other member of this body in its current form."

Damian taps on his phone, a message relays to whom ever where ever, as he rises to speak, "I too will be subjecting a nomination for a leading role over the Strategic Espionage Unit." He say sternly, making sure he was at least noticed if not heard before sitting down on his phone again, receiving a reply.

Avara was talking on a phone before putting it down. "I also would submit one of my own to the SEU. My race can be quite stealthy and predatory when we want to be. I'll wager few others can claim such a distinction." she stated before sitting back down. She then went into her desk to retrieve a data pad containing names of potential agents.

Far'Ha got into the assembly chamber bright and early. He'd taken the time to groom himself thoroughly, and his eyes sparkled with positivity. It was time consuming to do daily, but it made him feel great and he needed the boost.

"Welcome, honoured GESO delegates. I have been informed by the administration of the candidates standing for election, and given that I'm one of them, well, feel free to check for yourselves."

"It is not so unsurprising," Damian speak up from his seat once more, "After all a majority of decisions have been made by this very council, and it is not until now that power is being divided. It may take some time before other members among us realize with out a seat in another position, they may loose a great deal of power and influence. Also a imagine a number of us may not even seek the power, merely the companionship of other nations." Damian sat back in his seat, giving off a short high pitch squeak, "I my self am only requesting nomination for the SEU Because I believe I may be of assistance as a technological resource, rather than a want of influence."

"You seem to have forgotten the nation of Taigawa, which has announced candidacy for the SEU, Thouzai'Far'Ha." Aisling remarked. "So we do have three for the Triumvirate."

Secretary Silver Simply say mute, noting any modifications to the list at hand, the galaxy would most likely be watching; to see if an actual democratic process worked. She was confident it would.

"Greetings!" The cry rang through the chamber, loud and clear. "Polls for the new Secretary General are now open! Visit our voting region and cast your vote! today! Four days only!"

"They're in!" The voice rang through the chamber once more, breathless and nervous. "The SG results are in, folks!" Far'Ha gripped the arms of his chair, the greatoak seemed to barely notice - many, many occupiers had gripped them before, in much the same circumstances.

The projector above SG Silver lit up, dlisplaying the results. "AND...wait, wha-"

"I congratulate Far'Ha on the election to the seat of secretary general, I formally announce my withdraw from the race. And there fore accept the post of second consul. I'm proud to have served all of you and know in my heart that Far'Ha will maintain the traditions of this grate organization. "

The Hobbeebian delegation, this time now mysteriously missing the Eborian party was quick to stand and place its own opinion on the matter at hand.

"Indeed congratulations to the new Secretary-General, however, this delegation will be submitting a request for an appeal to that victory on the grounds that the Imperial government made this decision without respect to its citizens wishes. It is also worth noting that should this appeal not be discussed and brought before the governing bodies of this alliance that this delegation will, in protest to this xeno-mongers victory, not be placing a vote unless in favor of reducing and dismantling the power of the new Secretary-General."

"Thouz- That is, honoured diplomats. While I nor any other person here can dictate the actions of the Electoral Office, I would guess that they will deny your request. Specifically, because GESO is not responsible your your internal affairs; this election was won so decisively that no single vote would have changed the outcome; barely anyone here votes to begin with; we have already had two elections, and a third would require a very good reason; and that it would be a gross conflict of interests for this body to discuss its own election. If you wish, you may raise the issue with the EO, but I doubt they will grant your request for a repeat election."

The Terliran delegates had just gotten to their seats in the assembly, "Fellow GESO members, Emperor Tedian has graciously decided to give 100,000 ships to the GESO for mutual defense among its members. In this includes Battleships, cruisers, 6 command ships and the majority are frigates. On top of this, 500,000 soldiers are being given as well. As our time in the GESO lengthens, we will be more likely to donate more ships." Informed Ambassador Tal as he stood up so the whole assembly could see him.

"I thank you, and your Emperor." Far'Ha rose, also. "And indeed, we may need them. The current refugee crisis has had an unfortunate side effect, one those of us generous enough to accept high number of refugees already know of. Piracy at the Gamma/Delta quadrant has risen dramatically, using the high traffic from that crisis both as a cover and a source of prey - certainly, people fleeing for their lives have little means to defend themselves. Already, both The Interstellar Empire of Nyte and the United Terran Alliance have begun independently taking measures, including placement of strategic weapons, and the commendably intentioned, if somewhat aggressively executed, efforts of Fleet Admiral Black -or, for my brethren, Chek'Black. And yet, these efforts deserve far, far greater resources - and is Galactic Security not in our very name? Delegates, a proposal. The GRF will deploy to the Gamma/Delta border. They will organise a convoy system, like blockade penetrators of old, and escort civilian ships between secure entry and exit points on each side at member planets. No aggressive anti-raiding action will be taken, for now - our greatest priority is to shore up safety for travelers, personal and commercial. After all, our other responsibility is to economics, and we will not tolerate an embargo no matter the enforcement by politics or piracy. With that said, we have no objection to a joint operation in the future.

A two-pronged approach, then. GRF Escorts will travel across the unstable regions, leaving at scheduled intervals from GESO member worlds near the border. Those worlds, meanwhile, will act as border control. A new agency will be created to check travellers and cargo for banned goods and weapons only - we understand that refugees typically do not have official identification, so instead their biometric information will be recorded and checked against criminal databases, before being passed to their destination government and retained or destroyed in accordance with their laws. International crimes such as piracy will be dealt with by the existing GJC, while single-nation crimes will instead trigger an extradition process set out in the Charter."

With that, Far'Ha sat again. "I open the floor to discussion, delegates."

Avara sat there and listened before she spoke. "I will allow this, if we are allowed to use our own ships in defense of our own worlds in the troubled areas. The Ecumene's warships will aid in these opperations as requested, but enough will be held back to defend those among our worlds that lack orbital defenses. Security is of my soverign's greatest concerns, expecially on less developed colony worlds both in our territory and controlled by our allies. In summery, I can give you aid, but the empress will defend Ecumene colonies first."

Admiral Yen Ying had attentively observed the proceedings with stoic expression, living up to the stereotype of ‘inscrutable oriental’. She didn’t seem to looked keen, neither is she being tentative about the matter at hand. In fact, she agreed with the points made by the new General-secretary. But as a representative of the Middle Kingdom and her Emperor, she has to be sensible with the plans which may benefit Minroz in the long run. No use participating in wasteful wars.

“The Middle Kingdom will too allow this. And we’re not entirely opposed to the ideas, proposed by General-secretary Far’Ha.” Yen Ying spoke. “We will provide aid in any capacity as GESO needed. However, we will defend the Minrozian colonies first should these foul pirates happened to stray in our territories. Nevertheless we will assist in the operations as partners. Though, if I may be bold to ask…is there any set of policies in place to combat galactic piracy?”

President Billy Ned arrived to the general assembly along with his delegate after getting a membership in GESO.His delegate would represent Kendor in the general assembly.Among the delegate is Economic Expert Vera Farne and General Kevin Caran which would represent Kendor's economy and military,respectively.

After the Kendorian delegate entered the GESO General Assembly,The delegate taked a seat as President Billy walked to the stage to deliver his speech "Greetings,fellow GESO member.I'm President Billy Ned,the leader of The Federation of Kendor.As you know,we are grateful that we finally got accepted into GESO.To comply with GESO's mutual defence pact we will send 250.100 ship for GESO,with 150.000 of the ship being fighter ship.The remaining 100.100 ship would be larger ship such as battleship,cruiser,destroyer and other type of warships.We are also interested to trade all of you with you as well as making a friendship with you all." President Billy finished his speech,he then walked back to the assembly seat.

"The Terliran Empire also agrees to this, though before we look to help others. We must look to secure our own borders before we look to help others. After all, it wouldn't be smart to over extend to help others when we are dealing with pirates and other groups in our space." Informed the Ambassador as he saw the new comer give a speech on the stage. He wasn't sure about this one, seemed way to eager to talk.

After several minutes of hushed whispers, the Tahar Joblissan delegates stood up to take the floor.

Two of them promptly sat back down, leaving the third, Sarah, standing. Sarah shook her head as if to clear it, her brown hair staying mostly in order during that process.

"Our preliminary statement is that we support securing GESO space jointly against the depradations of any pirates, and will offer full cooperation and aid to insure that any seizures of private shipping are carried out by GESO military vessels, or legitimate privateers holding legitimate letters of marque from GESO nations; it not being legitimate to issue a letter of marque against a fellow GESO member's shipping."
