This does however remind me of the religion topic. How about we do a similar thing to the Elder Scrolls where our Gods are apart of the same pantheon but each nation of people only worship a single one or a group of them. That way, everyone gets to customize their religions and they're all equally valid.

I think deities should be tutelary, and created by the high concentration of mana that develops in a city or region.

Another idea is what I call "The Death God's Barter".

God's couldn't create sentient life without souls so they bartered with the mysterious deity for a certain number of souls that dwindle as they leave their vessels and return to their original owner, culminating in the last race standing earning their God an unknown reward.

So first I must admit that, long ago in the dark ages of my life, I read fanfiction and even dabbled in writing some too, and while my skills back then were less than they are now I will admit, at the risk of being narcissistic, that my own works had a sort of quality to them that many seem to lack whenever hearing the term fanfiction. I was planning to write a story revolving around the Ace Combat universe and ended up creating three original nations for the story: Dorusia, Seian, and Beiarusia. Upon the creation of my account here way back when, after a stint at Cybernations, I came to the realization that I had no idea what to call myself. I wanted something original, but cool, and ultimately dug into my repertoire of already created locales from my various story ideas. And thus the nation of Beiarusia was born my dead lad.
