So this is pretty much a darker variant of the show "The Tribe" right? I am very much interested, app will soon be forthcoming.

It's not my place as I'm not a co-OP, but guns are illegal for civilians in the UK. You're not going to be starting with an AK. The only assault rifle you're realistically going to start with is an L85 or maybe something from nearby European countries if their soldiers came to help with containment.

Consider this my tag by the way.

I can accept the role if offered. Just know that I haven't read the book (though it probably won't matter). As a suggestion, for the sake of variety, I would consider nixing future applicants with military training. Those we have now are fine, but throwing in some unique character ideas would probably benefit the RP.

That's a good point. The only rifles would be those issued to soldiers. So AK's are very unlikely to be found.

Uh, no Markhov will have an AK.

He is a Russian Army Cadet, whose father is Russian diplomat to the UK. He got that weapon off his father's dead guard.

Yup, that's Markhov's only problem RN.

When the AK runs out, he'll try to scour for ammunition, but most likely will switch out his rifle for something else.

Sakura and Hillary's SA80s are British Army standard issue weapons. 'Stock', with little to no modifications as I assume they were looted from the military reserve when order went to shit.

Yeah. I just checked and there doesn't seem to be any gun shops in London. He's SOL with ammo.

That's an easy enough and likely explanation. Any military issue weapons that are British could easily have been looted.

Yeah, I'll do that. Honestly wasn't expecting everyone to be an army cadet, but oh well. It won't really matter that you haven't read the book, so if you want to I'll accept you as CO-OP.

It was a low production show from the 90s made in New Zealand, it was what you would expect. Cheesy music, flawed characters, but still it has it's charm. The overall theme is basically the same, all the adults are wiped out by disease and all that is left are teenagers who form up into tribes and crazy lord of the flies style. You may enjoy it but if you get twilight style teanage soap opera vibes off it that is natural. Most of the series is on youtube, here is the first episode:

Yeah.

Story with the AK is, everyone in the Russian embassy died, so he took one of the Russian soldier's AK, as many things as he could get and set out.

They need a safe location first :P with food, water and if possible, electricity.

Do you want some worldbuilding Factions or Roving Gang NPCs, as well as locations? I'd say it's good to come up with a progressive map which can be updated as the RP grows.

Hopefully this is original and plausible.

Basic Information
Name: Cody Breckenridge
Age: 17 (Birthday is May 22nd 1999)
Sex: Male
Gender: Male
Birthplace: Salt Lake City, USA
Appearance:
Image

Skills:
  • Knows how to use melee weapons
  • Deceptively charismatic
  • Able to keep his cool in tense situations
Weakness:
  • Has almost no clue of how to navigate London
  • Leeches off someone for survival; can't do much on his own
  • Arrogant and condescending
  • May or may not be mentally unstable

Personality: On the outside, Cody seems like the type of guy you'd like to hang out with, even though he might seem slightly narcissistic. On the inside however, he's basically a psychopath. Now granted this was exacerbated by the fact that he lost his entire family, but even before then was rather sadistic. He was like the kid who burnt ants with a magnifying glass, but imagined that those ants were everyone who ever wronged him, and that they would continue burning in hell. No one knows why this is so, not even Corey himself.

Biography: Born to a relatively rich Mormon family in the suburbs of Salt Lake City, Cody was very reclusive in his younger days. Being homeschooled meant that he had virtually no friends, aside from his parents and Joey, his little brother (the status of whom we'll get to later). Although being religiously homeschooled, he couldn't bring himself to care about what was being taught. The sad fact was that his parents were aware of this, and noticed his increasingly violent behaviour during classes, at which he would make blasphemous remarks during religious teaching and at one point throwing a bible at the tutor for no reason other than, "She wanted to indoctrinate me, so I taught her a lesson." For weeks, they prayed and tried numerous measures to calm him down, and only two stuck.

His parents sent him to some counselling as well as self-defence classes, hoping that the former would calm him down, while the latter could help him channel his anger. Unfortunately, all they did was worsen the problem. The counselling taught Cody how to act with a calm temperament, while the self-defence classes only served to teach him various other ways to harm people. Amazingly, he was able to fool his parents into thinking that he had been fixed by acting well-tempered. He even made a few 'friends' in the classes, and they all fell for his pretence.

However, as he pulled off the giant act, rage was starting to pent up inside of him. Remember Cody's little brother Joey? To Cody, he was fun to talk to, until he developed a personality. And this annoyed him, mostly because now he lost his one avenue for escape, and Joey was always whining for something. And then it finally happened. He snapped. All that anger and intolerance of others broke the gates and freed themselves.

To this day, no one knows where the body was buried. Not even Cody; he can't remember.

Following the murder, for the first time, Cody felt something other than rage and hatred. He felt guilt, remorse, and the feeling was confusing for him. Until his trip to London, the feeling stuck with him, and it actually looked like he could genuinely show other emotions as well. What could be next? Love? Tenderness? Maybe even elation?

Nope.

With the murder being a highly publicised case in the local community, Cody's family decided to move out of plain old Utah and go somewhere else. Maybe even leave the country, and that was exactly what they did. Joining the Mormon England London Mission, Cody's parents felt that if he was exposed to other atmospheres, he could perhaps learn to socialise. And for the first week, things were going well. At this point, he couldn't tell whether he was faking his well-tempered behaviour, or whether he was actually learning to be calm and contented.

That was until the virus struck.

With Cody's parents suddenly turning into monsters in the middle of congregation (as well as everyone else around him), he ran away into ... somewhere. He didn't need to know where, he just needed safe shelter (it's in the train tunnels near Marble Arch Tube Station). Now secluded in the darkness, with his parents now turned into flesh-eating ghouls, Cody succumbed to the madness and descended down the spiral of insanity yet again, only this time, any trace of humanity or sanity in him has now been replaced with anger, fear and insecurity. He now preys on any hapless soul wandering through the abandoned tunnels, using what he learnt in self-defence class for the exact opposite thing it those skills were meant for.

Equipment:
Rusty Steel Pipe
Cap with MLG logo (Don't ask him how he got it)
Plain Grey Shirt
Casual Long Pants With Deep Pockets
Grey and Black Hoodie

Extra
RP Example: I Don't Know If This Is Even Acceptable But Whatever
Theme Song: FURY - Fade Away (feat. Tailyn) (I don't know why I chose this it's just been stuck in my head for the whole day)

So there'll be a group of 16-18 year olds in the Red Cross, seeking to give shelter, and a gang of Somali-esque gunkids come in to grab all the food and supplies they can get. Apparently it becomes a battle, not around who's better with a weapon, but who's worse with their juvenile handling of weapons.

You can have a small group of supporting NPCs, a religious cult, groups of territorial rivals, kids from other cities coming, a hedonistic bunch who believe they are the chosen ones to repopulate the Earth through any means... and the Adults, of course.

London itself should have about 1.5 million kids between 0-18 still living. Slash out casualties, toddlers dying out, and maybe there'll be 600,000 more alive in the city.
