The helicopter is an analogy, dear Ifreann.

What is there to discuss seriously? Your entire idea is really rather stupid. It has no historical backing,no scientific backing, is essential all arguments from ignorance, and no does not even count as an hypothesis since it can't even be tested. Oh, please note before you talk about how this is equal to belief in a god, I am an atheist.

Ah. Thanks.
So how would you explain the drawing of the White Lady? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_White_Lady
What could she be wearing? Everybody went around in booty shorts in those days, right? Or similiar paintings in other countries? Or the drawings of people that look remarkably like astronauts. Well, they must have been the fishbowl-headed people, right?
Or what was it that happened in Tunguska? It was a meteoric impact site, right? Even though no traces of any sort of metal that meteors are usually composed of are found there. Oh, it was another kind of meteor. Well, that's funny. There's no crater!
And so on and so on. You can put question marks with everything. It's merely a different angle, Neutraligon. Von Däniken asked questions, wondered things out loud.

Simple, it does not matter how I would explain it. I could simply say I do not know (not being an archaeologist and all that) but that it does not mean aliens. For all I know it could be an apprentice cave painter who is really bad at painting. You are doing aliens of the gap instead of god of the gaps. It isn't another angle, it is speculation based on absolutely nothing, and not even worth consideration in the field of archeology until there is actually evidence it was aliens.
The argument goes something like this: "I refuse to prove that I exist," says God, "for proof denies faith, and without faith I am nothing."
"But," says Man, "the Babel fish is a dead giveaway isn't it? It could not have evolved by chance. It proves you exist, and therefore, by your own arguments, you don't. QED."
"Oh dear," says God, "I hadn't thought of that," and promptly vanishes in a puff of logic.

The white lady painting has been agreed to only be 2000 years old. Light skinned folks were around in africa then, y'know. And I find myself amused that you get 'astronauts' from 'differently colored'.
The tunguska meteor exploded before impact. Reading actual articles on the event would explain that this happened and how it did so. There have even been examples of similar events taking place in recent years. It would be quite useful for you to actually read up on the things you speak of as evidence of your claim to actually check that they are what you think they are.

Well, this is why Von Däniken advocated cross-field studies. Archeology itself won't solve a thing.
Is aliens really that much stranger than a god? Many scientists of note have said it is likely there are other lifeforms somewhere out there. What do we have in favor of an existence of god? Faith? I am reminded of HHGTTG:The argument goes something like this: "I refuse to prove that I exist," says God, "for proof denies faith, and without faith I am nothing."

You keep talking about how our arguments against your position are propping up other religions. This is mistaken.

It's not the color, brother. I am amused that you find yourself amused by something I did not say.
Also, did I claim anything? No. I think it warrants further investigation and provided hooks for conversation. But do I claim that this is the truth? Come on bru.
