We had someone slip through the crack in my other RP (NML). Was on the fence about his app, he seemed a decent enough writer based on his examples, and he essentially killed the RP. I was offline for one day and came back to a lynch mob ready to kick him off the island. There will always be those who get through the cracks.

I'm pretty lenient when accepting people, giving them the benefit of the doubt, but Flab refused to conform to how things were playing out, demanded that changes be made to accommodate him and his ideas, and was pretty much hostile and a jerk all around. The Co-OP's and major players even formed a Council of Doom in response through TG when trying to figure out how to deal with him. If anything it brought us closer.

APPEARANCE: Kylen is of Burmese decent, standing at roughly 5'11", weighing in at about 167 Ibs. His hair is short, black, and spiky, almost like a faux hawk. He has an ovular face, with dark brown eyes, and full lips. At the center is a straight nose with a bit of a droop, his right cheek sports something akin of a faint jagged heart. Lean frame, doesn't wear anything flashy, or interesting.

ABILITIES:
Bullet time: A state in which the user can think, move and react in slow and fast motion. This process becomes increasingly more taxing the more/longer it is used. Using it consumes an incredible amount of energy. The use of bullet time taxes both mind and body, extreme use by an inexperienced individual may result in cardiac arrest, or comatose. Minor effects stemming from brief usage usually consist of small migraines or sore muscles. There is a cool down period between uses depending on how long it was used previously. Side effects are not immediate, consult your doctor if effects last more than several days.
Spider Sense: Much like the famed Spider Man, Shaden has a special sixth sense that alerts him of impending danger, like SPider Man, the sense will not divulge where the danger is, or where it's coming from.
SKILLS: Adept at video games, organized, physically fit, coordinated, great reflexes, a good fighter, watchful
WEAKNESS: Paranoia, has trouble trusting people, still vulnerable to most everything that a human is. Oblivious to certain social cues. Insomniac.
GOALS: To live without having to look over his shoulder, make ends meet

PERSONALITY: Reserved, he likes to watch and observe. He is slow to trust, and more on the sardonic side, use to be that he was social butterfly but circumstances have changed him into a more reclusive person. He isn't afraid to speak, more so he is unlikely to go out of his way to do things including but not limited to: initiating the conversation, and making small chat.

BIO:

Born in Phoenix, Arizona, Kylen was raised by his grandparents. He was an only child, never knowing his parents. His grandparents never talked about them, no pictures of them were ever hung on the walls. He was a happy go lucky kid, always getting into childish trouble, but he figured a lot of stuff out for himself, dropping the attitude somewhere in 4th grade, and becoming more of an upstanding student. Not much happened in his childhood aside from developing his interests.

High school proved to be a very important year for Kylen as it was when he learned he was a variant. He used his ability to get ahead of his class mates, in sports, competitions, and tests. He learned what he could and could not do, what his limits were, and when to use them. He did well in academics, and excelled in sports. His family didn't make a great sum of money, and tuition in America was killer, so Kylen decided he'd use his "bullet time" as he'd dubbed it to help earn a scholarship, was it cheating? He didn't think so.

Of course for Kylen nothing ever comes free, he got the scholarship, but lost his grandparents. Unwilling to live in his old home, he'd sold the house, and moved the LA to pursue his education at UCLA. Having plunged himself straight into a new environment without thinking, Kylen had to adjust to LA, something that bullet time wouldn't help very much with. Well, unless he was being mugged. His story goes as any other, made friends, enemies, worked hard, graduated, had to deal with finding a job/student loans. However there was one major difference.

Carly Weber. She, like him was a variant. The two made a cute couple, however something was off about her, everyone could see it, but Kylen looked at it like a quirk that could be overlooked. Bad call on him. She was...possessive, to put it mildly. The relationship went well for the first three months before spiraling out of control. After half a year, he broke off their relationship, but he'd learned that you don't just "break up" with a crazy person. Especially when that crazy person has a rich family.

To surmise the past two years, it has been cash only, moving state to state, being pursued by a psycho variant with sizable assets to hunt him down with. This chase has led him now to Seattle, Washington. Feeling a bit risky this time around, he's taken up the job of Bouncer at a local night club, makes decent money, and a provided apartment. He wasn't sure what to expect when he took the invitation, but he hoped that being part of something, even a shadowy entity such as this would provide him with some escape from his constant running.

ABILITIES: Item Summoning - The ability to summon objects, specifically weapons, vehicles, and armor. Not limited to actual objects of that type, anything [she] believes can be used as a weapon, she can summon, so long as she has seen one in action before - whether live or by video does not seem to matter. She can summon a seemingly unlimited number of real weapons, but no more than a handful fictional ones at a time. Her summoning works best with smaller or less powerful weapons - while she is theoretically capable of summoning infinite numbers of any real weapon, to do so with large or powerful weapons is somewhat draining. She usually limits herself to no more than a dozen. Fictional armors and vehicles she can only summon one at a time.

Some would also consider her iron stomach, carbon-nanotube-reinforced-composite-armor liver, and the fact that all her weight seems to go to her chest a superpower.
SKILLS: While not really a sharpshooter by any means, Karin is good with a gun. She is substantially better with a sword, or an axe, or a hammer - melee weapons. As a former gunner for a light tank, she is also good with heavy cannons and operating heavy machinery in a pinch. Also there's the whole being-an-ordained-minister thing and all the skills that go with that. Once managed to chug an entire gallon of beer in five minutes.
WEAKNESS: She is no sharpshooter with a handheld gun. Summoning heavy weapons, exceptionally large and complex objects, or exceptionally powerful fantasy weapons are draining on her, and while she can, she rarely summons more than one. Some would consider her un-priestlike behavior and personality a weakness. She usually ignores people who think that, though.
GOALS: To have a reason to fight again.
FEARS: Failure. Loss of sensation. Mind control. Ever having her life again controlled to the degree it was when she was young.

EQUIPMENT: A Nokia cell phone. A Victorinox multitool. A Zippo lighter with the Swedish flag on it. Wallet with ID, credit card, debit card, and $137.26 inside. Toothbrush and a dopp kit. Karin doesn't carry any weapons because she does not feel the need to - for obvious reasons. Spare suit - black with bright blue shirt. Clerical collar. A tailor-fit Carolean officer uniform.

PERSONALITY: Put nicely, Karin is a jovial woman filled with a joie de vivre rarely seen in priests, passionate about everything she does. She is a lover of beauty, of good food, and a good woman - she's bisexual, but strongly prefers the company of women. Put bluntly, she's a boozing, vain womanizer who would probably chase after anything with a skirt and a pulse given half the chance. On the other hand, she has a definite, well-rooted and well developed sense of right and wrong. She believes man is capable of great good, and evil of equal greatness, but that evil will always fall eventually to good.
