Parliamentary systems also largely function off of a Coalition system.
i would also like to know a little more about this 2009 depression. Since there wasn't any worldwide downturns then in Tyran.

As for the 2009 depression, if it wasn't a global downturn then I'd say it was just an overheated real estate bubble.
You didn't really answer much here, single industry bubbles tend to be a really quick rebounds. With how you describe it you make it out to be this massive depression that destabilized your whole economy and hampered the entirety for nearly a decade. Its the difference between the Dot.Com bubble which lasted 3 years and then rebounded, and the US Housing bubble that took out several other sectors like banking, insurance and etc.

I think it's also worth mentioning here that, given the level of economic integration that would certainly result from the history you desire with Carinya and the fact that we are attempting to make a regional economy more of a prominent aspect in the background of regional affairs as a whole, that this bubble and resulting recession would undoubtedly affect other nations in the region on varying levels which is something to consider. In terms of industry bubbles, Real Estate bubbles tend to be particularly nasty when they burst.

Application
Official Name of Nation: Dominion of the West Aotearoa
Type of Government: Constitutional monarchy
Head of Government: His Imperial Majesty the Jacques IX
Head of State: Sir. Reginald Kawiti
National Population (cannot be larger than 300 million): 4.78 million
Type of Economy: Free-market
Brief Description of Nation (culture, society, politics, ect.): West Aotearoa is an island nation two mountainous, decently-sized islands far and isolated from the many. Its islands were first settled by the Maoris, who developed their distinctive culture, before the Quebecois colonisation met after a decade of fruitless war that really didn't help Royal Kingdom of Quebec at all, mostly due to high fatality rate and so on. With the Quebecois and other settlement, it has become a nation with interesting ethnic mix, with those of European descent forming around 41% and Maoris 39% of the population, as well as around 9% of Korean background (due to Quebecois immigration) and 6% of surrounding Islanders (think of Pacific Islanders IRL). A developed country with market economy, as well as stable quality of life and social net structure, making the nation a very livable and harmonious one, though the latter's been more challenging lately.
Preferred Climate: Think of it as similar to New Zealand.
