What began at the end of 2015 as a fairly routine inappropriate content report turned into a massive, multi-month investigation into players using Nationstates for erotic roleplay. The site rules specifically state that obscene content is not allowed, and that the site is restricted to a PG-13 level.
This includes player telegrams.
Although moderation does not make a habit of looking through player TGs to actively search for such material, when we come across it while investigating something else, we cannot simply ignore it and turn a blind eye. Especially when several of the participants are either underage or potentially courting underage players, roleplaying out graphic erotic situations involving underage characters, and so on.
This is not acceptable. This has never been acceptable. This will never be acceptable.
