[DRAFT] Liberate Atheist Empire

Postby East Ying » Thu Jul 22, 2010 2:38 pm

ACKNOWLEDGING that Mafia of Equinox, Unknown, Ghost Squadron, and Imperial Rome have invaded the otherwise peaceful region of Atheist Empire midnight, July 21st, 2010.

SADLY NOTING that besides losing control of their region, the Atheist Empire World Factbook Entry (hereinafter the WFE) and flag were hijacked by the raiders, who then proceeded to vandalize the WFE and change the flag from it's original flag.

OUTRAGED that the aforementioned invaders ejected natives without justification

FURTHER OUTRAGED that the delegate has locked the region to visitors, preventing natives from returning.

CALLS UPON the Security Council to lift all delegate imposed barriers currently set on the region of Atheist Empire, allowing natives to return to their region, and allowing them to return their WFE and flag to it's original state.

^rough draft. help this move along...

More details would be a good start.

I know nothing about the situation, and I'm not inclined to support the liberation attempt without a great deal more details. Who invaded? When did this happen? What does it mean for Atheist Empire, now that they've been invaded - minus the fact that they're not in power anymore? et cetera ...

Also you might should have asked the native delegate if he wanted to be liberated. The password hasn't been changed so he still knows it. If he wanted defenders to help his region they already could.

This liberation would only be needed if the raiders make a new password (which will take them forever to get the influence to do) or if you plan to go against native delegate wishes, which has been a bad plan every time anyone has tried it.

Don't worry Topid, it's only a draft. I was already in the process of TGing the delegate, before you even asked. :p

Maybe I'm being too over-excited about this... Tging the native delegate right.... now!

@Topid:
I just want to point out something. It is important to remember that defenders don't defend a region solely for the sake of keeping the native delegate in power. We defend the WA natives first and foremost, the WFE, and even the RMB. Listening to the native delegate's opinion is just one of those things, it is not all of it.

Pretty stupid resolution, considering that TITO does have the password, and the password was in place before we raided it to begin with.

Firstly I would like to congratulate the raiders involved for their fine legal efforts.

I see no reason to support this proposal, no natives have been ban-jected, and if it is true that the PW remains the same, what's the problem?

The raiders will leave the region in due time, for now the natives can continue to enjoy the debate and activity the raid has caused on the RMB.

I would go so far as to say that the raid has helped Atheist Empire.

Has he asked for the password?

If seemingly everyone knowns I don't see why the raiders wouldn't let him back in...

Nope, he moved to go to the new region Atheists where the native delegate is starting over from scratch, because the raiders 'helped' his community.

See, alot of these issues can be sorted by simply talking to one an other... I'm sure if he messaged the raiders they would let him back in. Most raiders don't raid regions so they can eject natives.

This raid was within the rules of the game, a liberation is not necessary... why can't people just work things out the old fashioned way? creating ridiculous liberations and condemnations agaisnt a raiders only further fuels the animosity.

Regardless of that, if the raiders aren't really in this to eject natives, why on earth would they eject a native? There were 3 native WAs if I remember correctly, they couldn't get more endos than the raiders. That native was not a threat in the least, and these raiders WERE just ejecting a native.

Accident, who knows?

But if they were trying to ejected natives wouldn't they have ejected the lot?

Who knows... Perhaps they are saving influence for a new password, perhaps they are worried this will be submitted and ejecting natives would look bad, perhaps they realized people were watching and ejections make them look bad...

Someone who dislikes raiding and would get a kick out of the 'It's the NATIVES fault he isn't in the region because he should have asked the delegate who just kicked him out if he was welcome back' argument.

So they ejected one native?, that doesn't even begin to make sense  , perhaps they suspected him of being FRA or something, but to answer that we would have to ask the raiders.

Honestly though this proposal is ridiculous,
"FURTHER OUTRAGED that the delegate has locked the region to visitors, preventing natives from returning."
Seeing as though this is factually incorrect since a password was already in place, this is redundant.

"SADLY NOTING that besides losing control of their region, the Atheist Empire World Factbook Entry (hereinafter the WFE) and flag were hijacked by the raiders, who then proceeded to vandalize the WFE and change the flag from it's original flag."
That's a pretty standard thing to do in a raid, it's not as though it's permanent.

"CALLS UPON the Security Council to lift all delegate imposed barriers currently set on the region of Atheist Empire, allowing natives to return to their region, and allowing them to return their WFE and flag to it's original state."
So remove the previous delegates password? :palm:

"OUTRAGED that the aforementioned invaders ejected natives without justification"
A single native, and even so it's not as though he was ban-jected, simple ejected, meaning he can move back in at will.

"ACKNOWLEDGING that Mafia of Equinox, Unknown, Ghost Squadron, and Imperial Rome have invaded the otherwise peaceful region of Atheist Empire midnight, July 21st, 2010."
Congratulation to those guys I guess... I mean what does this even mean? as far as I'm aware raiding is still fully legal...

Mistakes can be made, telegramming and behaving civil to one an anther is often the best way to get around such a situation... there's no point whining if you are going to do something proactive. If he explained the situation to the raiders they might let him back... Becuase an argument like this is the last thing a raider would want, they'd rather be raiding another region.

Well, I'd have asked some of my old friends/allies who were still inside the region whether they knew the current password, first, and if the facts are as have been represented here then one of them would presumably have been able & willing to give me that password without my having to ask the new delegate...

There is still no reason for a native who was just kicked by a raider delegate for no reason to assume the delegate would do anything but kick him again if he wasted the time to ask. The delegate didn't 'accidentally' boot a native, and if he had he would have told the native that. If he did think the puppet was a defender and wasn't just griefing asking wouldn't change that, it'd probably reinforce it.

Against. I'm against all Liberations- I think they're just a way for defenders to cheat if things don't go their way.
