1.Comparing Piracy to the Gold Rushes of California, Diamond Rush of South Africa, and other such events as that.
*snip*

For starters, 100,000 Chinese people did not immigrate to America during the years of the California gold rush; that would've been more than a fifth of their population in 1850. Wiki says that at the height of the gold rush, in 1852, there were about 25,000 Chinese people living in America; this number would swell to 300,000 by 1880, due in no small part to those initial immigrants settling down and having their own families (which pirates would not do).

Secondly, none of this kind of mass immigration would have happened or been possible without two things: the steam engine and the printing press. Allow me to explain...

The steam engine allowed for trips of the kind you're talking about, crossing the Pacific from China to the USA, for a number of reasons, as ships: didn't have to worry about being becalmed; travelled farther, faster, and with less effort; could be made larger and out of materials other than wood, which made braving the Pacific far less deadly.

The printing press, after being industrialized by steam power, allowed for the mass creation and transmission of information. To be clear, there wouldn't have been any immigration to America during the gold rush had nobody known about it, and nobody in China would have known about it because there was a paltry 325 Chinese people living in America in 1848. And the only reason that many Chinese people were there in the first place was because they had been displaced by the Opium Wars, ongoing in southern China since 1839.

And, of course, such large populations in the first place were only possible because of the industrialization of agriculture. Suffice it to say, this RP is set many hundreds of years before any glimmer of the technological revolutions which would be required to have immigration occurring over thousands of kilometres. Augustinus could probably expect to see one or two dozen people of his homeland along the entirety the Storm Coast at any one time, an over estimation in itself if they are warriors seeking employment, and numbers which would become entirely depleted the second Augustinus held a recruitment drive.

Firstly, you sir, are VERY inaccurate by that 100,00 would've been a quarter of their population, read this following article by one of the most accurate sources, The Museum of San Francisco.
http://www.sfmuseum.org/hist6/chinhate.html

Now, to debunk that the printing press CREATED anticipation and desire, as most newspapers never WENT to California, but instead of newspapers going to experience it first-hand, they took very inaccurate sources as they fought each other in the war to become more popular. Its because of these inaccurate sources, often paid by the newspapers to speak false accounts, and the tales spread by veteran miners, that in the mid 1800's that THOUSANDS Migrated to California, from CHINA. If you are so ballsy as to call this official report by an institution based in the center of this entire gold rush.

Also, let me debunk another theory, not all ships heading to California we're STEAM-DRIVEN, many times, it was Clippers or Eastern Asian merchantmen sailing far distances across the Pacific or around the cape of South America, not only Steam-driven ships. Also, let me remind you, the Chinese came from CHINA, which wasn't Industrialized AT ALL. And they migrated to CALIFORNIA, which at the time, was during the WILD WEST, where lawlessness was rampart and signs of industrialization we're far away, no factories or any industrial facilities we're built UNTIL the later-end of the Gold Rush, as the population of the West swell, and the presence of the US Government. They're was LITTLE SIGN of an well-civilized, industrial world in The West, infact, its was the complete opposite of the East.

So, unto itself, to say that it was ENTIRELY because of the Steam Engine and Printing Press we're the reason for such large migrations is PARTIALLY TRUE,yet you fail to realize and type about the miners WHO LIVED TO TELL THE TALE AND WENT HOME, most often these men we're BIGOTS, and often exaggerated their stories, as to rise their social image.

Can't it be fair to say those who board the ship had to adjust to the odd dialect of the Captain and the Lieutenants? So, yeah, the new recruits should struggle with the vocabulary of the dialect, but can't he just roleplay an adaptation period? It would explain the reason why everyone speaks it, because its required aboard the ship by the Captain?

It's a pirate ship, not a clean and pressed naval vessel. Enforce discipline through your officers. It doesn't necessarily need to come from the innate fact that they are of the same nationality as your Captain.

I've been promoting this concept. New sailors, who originate along the Sword Coast, adjust to the work rate and dialect speaking of the ship. However, it's been demanded that the ship contains fully of people from the Far East of dialect natives.

This also helps in terms of fairness of the actual roleplay. If we get more players to apply, it would be unfair to bar them from the Belisarius simply based on the presumption that their character will not be from the Far East.

Theoretically could the Catapult spell, be used to rebound/repel arrows?
Obviously it wouldnt be accurate and the repelled arrows would overshoot, but i was just wondering, i am working on my post now.

Wizards often create wind or shield spells to do that. Although it's not in the Spellbook, I'm sure creative use of such spells from higher level wizards could do the job.

For reference, my incoming post includes an explosive. It's a magically charged detonation linked to a substance contained in one of the arrows that Tarius carries. It's nothing like a cannon, and Tarius only actually has five of the arrows.

Well the spell descript say any object from one to five pounds in an 150 foot area can be launched up to 90 feet away. it doesnt specify the object must be on the ground, thus why i was asking. Besides my Guy is a Stormsoul Genasi Storm Sorcerer, meaning he focuses on the storm aspect of his sorcery and it is stronger than normal due to his race as well. His spells will mostly focus around thunder, lightning, air, water, and weather manipulation.

In game terms it will not work, because it will have to be a Reaction Casting Time to react to the attacks of others ;)

But this is a mobile RP, who knows, we might have two casters firing firebolts at each other and having the spells clash and burst into a puff of smoke!

Those sorcerers are valued on most ships. Some of the more powerful seafaring characters in the D&D books and lore are sorcerers who has an affinity with the elements, which gives them a strong offensive list of spells. Wizards are more well-balanced with a bunch of utility spells, but during a fight or chase specialized casters are often preferred.

Wait... You're an air Genasi too? Couldn't we not have duplicates?
:P. That's not really fair, as I take up two (making fkr a fun character to RP, split personalities), and temp takes up another only leaving you with earth. Which seems bad.
Which is reasonable why you didn't try to not duplicate manifestations. We really are becoming a ship of misfits....
It appears I'm an INTP-T. You're not gonna get much more about me.

Malurog is a Silver Dragonborn, a creature of benevolence and a strong sense of justice. Malurog grew up as a young noble, and was going to become a Lord once he past his Test. However, one day, smoke filled the skies as raiders and pirates attacked his fair city. The warriors were slain by these sea-dogs, monsters who knew no honor, and who wielded weapons that could pierce even the toughest scales.

In the battle, Malurog slew the equivalent of an entire crew, making him the biggest target. Since he could not be killed, the raiders turned on the people he was trying to defend. Malurog's sister was murdered, and a pirate captain severed her head as a trophy. Engaged by this, Malurog was thrown into a frenzy and mauled the pirate captain.

After the fight, Malurog fled his village to draw more raiders and hunters after him and not his village. He grew in strength in the wild and learned some Druid magic, albeit, not very strong spells. Malurog is gifted with a terrifying power breath weapon. He worked on it along side his swords and has perfected a masterful combination of both.

Malurog's scales are some of the toughest...for a Dragonborn. That's not to say a bolt will not hurt him, it's to say that he's not going to be so easily phased by it.

Weaknesses: Malurog isn't very wise and is at a loss when he must give good advice. He tries to speak from the heart, and not the brain.

Malurog is afraid of failure. He will obsess over one detail, and in the end might miss the chance to save the day.

Personality: Malurog is light and jovial with his friends. He is also generous and protective.
Background:

Malurog returned to civilization after hearing of more raids from his animal friend, Percival Hannes Leonard Sean Von Feather IV the Hawk.

Malurog joined a privateer crew in the hopes of stopping raids on innocent people. Percy stays by Malurog and the two make quiet an unusual sight.

Find.
Have it that way. I was mainly thinking of the Pathfinder version of (Air) Genasi, slyphs. They pretty much just embody Storms and the like; resistance to electricity is a large part
It appears I'm an INTP-T. You're not gonna get much more about me.

Well, the only reason he is a Storm Genasi is becuase he is a Storm Sorcerer as well, otherwise he was gonna be water or air. I havent played Pathfinder only D&D and some Shadow run.
