Position in the Fleet: Boarder/Body-Guard
Race: Standard Human
Gender/Sex: Masculine Male
Appearance: Ashen White skin with curly hair as black as night and dark eyes. Rather short and has many scars all across his body
Personality: Through all the horrors of the shade and though he has walked through the valley of despair he has remained and will remain a man of valor. Despite all the things he has experienced and despite his rather cynical attitude towards most things deep down inside in his heart he has nothing but the love of all humanity. Never the less he is still a man who is on the path of vengeance and who will accomplish this goal or die trying no matter the obstacles set before him.
Background:
In Jack's younger days he was a kind and decent albeit shy individual who when he came of age set out into manhood with the vague goal being to save the world. Battling it out with monsters and other beings of foul intentions he gradually built up a reputation within his land as a hometown hero. Soon enough he joined a band of crusaders known as the Brotherhood of Ion whose ultimate goal was the protection of their poor little homeland of Amasa and the crushing of evil doers of course.
Things went well enough but eventually as one might expect life has a tendency to turn sour rather quick. Jack remembers it like yesterday when the day of days had arrived. Before that Day the the land of Amasa had been in peace and harmony with the Brotherhood from which Jack had been apart of being the it's protectors. But then that day arrived, the day when the empire attacked. Hoping to flex their muscles and seeing what they believed to be a rather easy target the Empire of Goz invaded and bought war unto the land of Amasa. In a brutal conflict which lasted for years the Brotherhood waged a protracted conflict against the Empire that wrought destruction on the land of Amasa. Villages were destroyed, lives massacred, occasional victories hear and there with subsequent bloody reprisals made. Despite all their valiance the Brotherhood's fate would be a tragic one that ended in their complete destruction and failure.
When their brilliant leader Jamath Selwy was killed in battle during an attack on an Imperial Army Barracks things only went down hill from that point on. Though defeat was practically guaranteed Jack and the others still carried on their endless war with hope still within their hearts however foolish those hopes were. The end day came when he and what few remained of the Brotherhood found themselves surrounded by a large detachment of Imperial forces. This was the end but they stood their ground fighting like lions and eventually falling. When the day was over Jack awoke amid a field of carnage alone and with a broken heart. In the days that followed he took the oath of vengeance for his fallen brother and for his homeland which to this day lies occupied under an imperial boot. He pledged himself to death itself proclaiming that he was a dead man who until his vengeance has been quenched will remain so. A truly tragic hero indeed.
Since then he wandered lost exiled from his homeland across lands untold seemingly searching for something, anything that would give meaning to his shattered life and would fill the hole that was within his heart. But life has been cruel and he has found little. Living in abject poverty many a day has he found himself without food within his belly and protection from the elements. When he was found by a few crew members of the ship he was a mess, a fallen paladin in every imaginable way. For some reason they found potential in the young man and took him on. Soon enough Jack found a niche for himself serving in the boarding parties as effectively a damage soak. Though he couldn't dish out too much he could easily take plenty and has served well in his role. With his new "family" if you will he has been able to regain much of his power and become a contributing member of the crew. The flame of vengeance within him has regained and with it the desire to destroy the ones who have wronged him. But for now he must wait patiently for he does not have the means to do so, but the day he is ready those who stand before him better be weary.

Arana wrote:Aryn(Image)
Position in the Fleet: Cabin Boy, Drake's Dream
Race: Cambion (Half-Incubus, Half-Elf)
Gender/Sex: Male
Appearance: A fourteen or so year old boy, a bit shorter and scrawnier than others his age due to undernourishment. His long, platinum blond hair and pale green eyes are the only real similarities he has with his mother. His more demonic features he tends to keep hidden; his wings are hidden under his shirt and cloak, his tail wrapped around his waist like a belt, and his horns are sometimes kept under a hood, although for the most part he makes no effort to hide them when among the crew. On his forehead is a demonic brand, which he keeps hidden by his bandanna. He almost always wears a cloak (seen in the picture provided), a tattered shirt and pants, and the previously mentioned bandanna.
Personality: The best word to describe Aryn would likely be awkward. A bastard and an orphan, and a demon nonetheless, the abuse and disdain that haunted most of his early life have left Aryn with very low self esteem. Add in the effects of puberty, budding sexuality, and the onset of his more demonic traits, and Aryn has very little confidence in himself, viewing his position as cabin boy to be fitting for somebody not capable of doing anything else. Of course, like most children his age, his lack of confidence is entirely unjustified. Smart, cunning, friendly, and above all, fiercely loyal to his captain, Aryn makes an ideal pirate; furthermore, a ship can't function without a cabin boy, and many wind up as captains some day. Pity that he can't see any of that.
Background: Fourteen years ago, a man and woman met in a bar. The woman, an elven captain, was known as Saela the Shadow. A privateer captain and smuggler, she had become famous up and down the Sword Coast for striking rapidly and out of nowhere, before disappearing again just as quickly. Through this method, she had amassed fortune and fame... and a great number of enemies. One of the Shadow's recent targets, a treasure ship carrying significant loot, had belonged to a certain company owned by a certain lord, who happened to serve a certain demon, and certain items on said ship were significant to him. The man, an incubus in human guise, had been sent by said demon to enact revenge. Later that night, the two of them left the bar, the Shadow under the incubus' spell. For close to a year, the pirate was nowhere to be found, although her crew searched everywhere. Eleven months after her disappearance, she finally returned... but deeply depressed and penniless. Not long after her disappearance, she had fallen pregnant by the incubus. When the child, a son she named Aryn was born, she was overjoyed, the demon's influence keeping her unaware of the boy's demonic features. Then, two months later, the incubus vanished, along with Saela's money, possessions... and her child. Crushed, the Shadow returned to piracy, but never got over her loss.
Believing that the progeny of such a brilliant pirate could one day prove useful to have under his thumb, the demon lord ensured that the child survived. Shortly after being taken from his mother, Aryn was whisked away by his father to a family in a nearby city who served the lord. For five years, they raised Aryn as if he was their own child, loving and caring for him. Until his fifth birthday, that is, at which point, as part of a certain demonic ritual, he was bled and branded. After this, the caring and love turned to contempt and abuse, and he spent most of his time locked in his room, his adoptive parents having judged that he'd outlived his usefulness. Around the same time, the young boy began hearing a voice in his head. A kind, caring voice... much like that of his adoptive parents, when he was younger. Over the years, the voice was his only friend, and more of a parent than his actual parents. It told him stories about his mother, about the outside world, and even told him where he could find some things that had belonged to the Shadow. Every once and awhile, the voice would even give him little commands, which he dutifully obeyed. Over the years, the commands became more complex... some, he followed as he always did, others, the voice found a way to simply override his will. On his tenth birthday, it gave him the biggest command yet... to brutally murder his parents in their sleep. Whether he did it willingly, or was forced to, Aryn could never remember... only that he felt a rush of joy doing so.
His adoptive parents dead, Aryn was forced onto the streets. Over the course of the next year or so, he made his living begging and stealing on the street. During this time, he suffered more abuse, both from adults and other children living on the street. The voice assured him that this was simply because they feared him for being a demon, and that he should be proud; the abuse still scarred him, both physically and emotionally, however, no matter how much he was assured that it wasn't something to be concerned about. Eventually, he began working on Drake's Dream, initially as a swab. Before long, however, he had the luck to be chosen as cabin boy; primarily the captain's personal servant, but also trusted with the responsibilities of relaying messages, assisting the ship's cook, helping trim the sails, and even occasionally holding the wheel in good weather. Since then, he has become incredibly loyal to his new crew, especially its captain. However, it hasn't helped his confidence much. As of the beginning of our story, he seeks to someday live up to his mother's reputation, and hopefully to find her... but the voice might have other plans.
Class: Rogue
Subclass: Arcane Trickster
Special Ability: Shape Change; along with the horns, wings, and tail, Aryn also inherited his father's ability to change his shape. However, he isn't very skilled at the moment. His ability is limited to children and teenagers, and he can only maintain his new shape for a few hours before losing it.
Equipment:Ability Scores:
- An ornate knife that belonged to his mother, Saela the Shadow.
- The cloak seen in picture at the top of the application.
- Bandanna made from the flag of the Swift, his mother's first ship; also formerly belonging to Saela.

- Literally nothing else.

Although i may go with a Stormsoul Genasi with a storm mastery bloodline instead for the sorcerer, if that would be allowed.
