Half of the Bible is included as a historical reference. Remember how in science class you sometimes were taught an obsolete concept first, then told it was proven wrong by someone later?
It's not "wrong", as in Christianity holds it to be a broadly genuine record of the events and laws of the pre-Christian era. The New Testament then records later events, in which the law established in the Old one is deprecated and replaced with new rules.
Not to be pushy, but do you have any theological evidence for this? As in, any Churches or higher-up members of a clergy who have actually said this?
