AIsland has decided to throw in our hat, for who knows what reason, for the very first time. To save time, the entry has already been decided on: "Chasm" performed by Os Chorli.

A new hope for WorldVision

After the disastrous fail of WorldVision 44 that saw us come 21st out of 25, we have a better act coming.

Last night, at the Melodìa Fažtsevìl, the title was handed over to two lucky people. One, fSing (real name Hìmans Jrèpos) stated 'Woah, it is an honour to be able to do this! Everyone at home, you can be rest assured we can win!'. The other winner was Eryka Mondìlô.

On February 22, 2015, both fSing and Eryka Mondìlô will be performing against veterans such as Izmedu and Polkopia and infamously stupid nations such as The Sword Bloke and Kasanova-Koratica. Two of the latter, possibly the most stupid, Electrum Diplomatic Offices and Gregoryisgodistan, have formed together to make an ear-bleeding sound. Watch out, guys!

That night, fSing and Eryka will sing 'Something Special' for a duration of 4 minutes and 14 seconds. They said hopefully this song can seal them at least a halfway. You can find a link to the song here.

Also, this time Mitoland are planning to make a host bid. However difficult it may be, Mitoland are trying to see what it is like to host a competition. #HOSTWV45 #WHISTLÂR45.

About them
A picture of them. I do not own this.

Hìmans Jrèpos is a 25-year-old man, who lives in a remote village in the province of Namalm. Some say 'he has the looks, he has the voice, he has the style, but he doesn't have the veteran country that he should be representing' As a professional singing teacher, he was suggested as being brilliant for the WV job. Although he has been singing professionally since 2007, his most successful song only peaked at #225 on the Mitolian charts. However, could this be a breakthrough for him?

Eryka Mondìlô is a 24-year-old lady from the small Northern city of Ickbar. Although she is not in love, could we see some love blossoming between her and fSing? We'll have to wait and see. Formerly one of Hìmans' students in singing, she is now said to have 'the best voice of Ickbar'. While she isn't representing the most veteran or experienced nation in WorldVision, she has everything you need for a top ten!

More about Mitoland in WV45 later. Who knows? You may be watching WV in Whistlâr!

OOC: So, we are signing up with a song called 'Something Special' by fSing and Eryka Mondìlô. We can also confirm the entry of a puppet (Olarre) into the contest - more will be confirmed on that later.

News of Mitoland this week:

I have a little hard to come up with a good song, but I'll at least bring in my puppet Stone age. IC, let's just say Bad Nazi scientists have discovered a time portal.
Nation retconned: The Reich is now Nazis only aesthetically, not politically (although they still call themselves Nazis, but it doesn't mean anything. Hitler died in 1938, Himmler, Goebbels, Göring and the other criminals lost their power in the following power struggle and the Reich became a "regular" corrupt dictatorship). It's based/stuck in the 1950s - 60s, but thanks to Die Glocke we can interact with all worlds. WWII still happened, but ended in a tie. Some Wunderwaffe exist (such as UFO:s and Die Glocke), as well as revived dinosaurs.

This is only a parody nation. I do not endorse National Socialism in any way, nor the people associated with that ideology.

Jèviñé - The Normand National Final

Following the success of the Normand act Desmat in WV44 with "Fools", it had been expected that Normandy and Picardy would have internally selected this entry. The Normand public were ecstatic with the success of the group, following the awful placing in WV43, and thus were expecting this success would continue, and the method of selection which brought this success (internal) was expected to be kept. However, with a new head of delegation and a group of acts that were all - according to the BNRT jury - of a high quality, it was decided that a National Final would be created, and thus Jèviñé (Play) was born. A selection of 5 acts by stars from all areas of the Normand music scene. What surprised a lot of people was that Desmat had entered n entry into the NF, wanting to return to the contest "to enjoy it all again". A professional jury and the Normand public will make up a proportion of the vote, the rest being decided by International juries. The 5 acts are below; could you please vote by giving 10pts to your favourite act, 8pts for the 2nd, 6pts for the 3rd, 4pts for the 4th and 2pts for your least favourite. The NF will run from now until the 27th.

1: Suzi Lollen - Inferno
Language: English
Tune: Florence + The Machine - What Kind Of Man

2: Desmat - Fly
Language: English
Tune: Softengine - All About You and I

3: Marco Geren - Peña p’al Çöra
Language: Normand
Translation: Heartbreak
Tune: Hurts - Rolling Stone
If that link doesn't work, try this instead.

4: Sor - Tès Motes
Language: Normand
Translation: Your Words
Tune: White Lies - Mother Tounge

5: Veren + Mari Foldra - Darkness
Language: English
Tune: Röyksopp feat. Robyn - Monument (The Inevitable End Version)
