What do you mean by "his steps" precisely?

It seems that the policy of Canada about refugees is rejecting young heterosexual single males, because they're, according Canadian government, the category that is more likely to cause troubles.
I wonder: what about if that policy would have been implemented even in Europe, in the last two or three years?

Doesn't prevent me also being a WRA.
Good job revealing how you operate as a feminist though.

There is an out of control trolley speeding towards Jeremy Bentham, who is tied to the track. You can pull the lever to cause the trolley to switch tracks, but on the other track is Immanuel Kant. Bentham is clutching the only copy in the universe of The Critique of Pure Reason. Kant is clutching the only copy in the universe of The Principles of Moral Legislation. Both men are shouting at you that they have recently started to reconsider their ethical stances.

Well, who would have thought of that, me finding something that I actually agree on with a radical feminist... You learn something new every day, I guess.

This Trudeau guy seems to have the right idea, given how it's single young men who usually become a problem. Considering how the majority of the migrants are single young men, barring them from entering Europe and deporting the ones already here would also solve the uncontrolled immigration problem to a large degree and restrict immigration to fathers with families, women and children, who are more likely to be in legitimate need for asylum and less likely to cause trouble.

---

Interestingly, there seems to be a co-relation between an excessive population of young men and civil wars, political instability and general violence and lawlesness. Considering how these places also tend to have a sexually-repressive religion, cultural norms that forbid sex outside marriage, condemn prostitution and other forms of sexual release, have high unemployment and low education levels, require men to pay a large bride-price in order to get married (which many cannot afford for the aforementioned reasons of unemployment and poor literacy), and there's a general shortage of females of marriable age anyway, no wonder there's a plentitude of sexually-frustrated horny young men with raging hormones looking for ways to vent their frustration.

Unsurprisingly, many of them who come to Europe with it's population of spineless emasculated men who are too accustomed to rely on authorities for justice and too pussy-whipped and beaten down to defend their women find Europeans and especially their womenfolk easy prey for their destructive urges, which is further aggravated by the inaction of authorities.
Freedom doesn't mean being able to do as one please, but rather not to do as one doesn't please.

I'd like to ask you to refrain from putting words in my mouth in the future, especially if those words are the product of conditioned knee-jerk responses to opinions that contradict the official party line.

You are right about vigilante justice being no good, that's what the authorities are there for - thus far we are in complete agreement, I presume. But what if the authorities just don't give a damn? Worse, what if the authorities downplay or ignore the attacks simply because the attackers are brown and Muslim out of fear of having the race card played against them?

What do you propose people should do then? Just look away and move along?

So it's a Giorgio Tsoukalosesque "I'm not saying we should lynch Muslims, but we should lynch Muslims"?
Crimes committed by Muslims will be a pan-Islamic plot and proof of Islam's inherent evil. On the other hand crimes committed by non-Muslims will merely be the acts of loners who do not represent their belief system at all.

The police in Germany are different to say for example those of France. There isn't the same heavy handedness or constant visibilty. For example there is not a town in France that doesn't have heavily armed police on the streets and large public gathering have been disallowed and disbanded, whereas Germany is much more passive.

No, he is asking what he should do. Looking away and ignoring the problem in the hope it will solve itself in due time has been tried for the past 50 years or so, but seems to be failing. Perhaps more time is all that is needed - but people are asking for an alternative with more immediate results.

Germany seems to be trying to find a middle ground between Britain and France. It will fail, as we and the British already have.

I don't know, due process to deal with crimes that break out rather than quarantining and barring an entire demographics like they all carried zombie viruses sounds rather fair.

I'm just curious.
Do you agree with the policy barring access to heterosexual single males? While accepting all other refugees, I mean?

The refugee immigrants are going to do jack shit to preserve the pension system. It's pretty much a given that in the case of Germany - with less than one in ten being qualified enough for integration into the workforce, according to official estimates - their net cost will surpass the benefit by far.

Now if we were talking about skilled immigration policies, like the ones Canada or Australia have - aka, the new arrival immediately finds a job without further training and starts providing for himself and paying taxes - that would be a different matter. But that's not the sort of immigration Europe is experiencing right now.

Wouldn't you agree that no unskilled immigration is better than receiving tons of unskilled immigration? The common sense solution then, is obviously to put a stop to the immigration happening to Europe now. Does the fact that the EU is trying the same thing over and over again and expecting different results not prove that their policies are insane?

It seems there's a lot of consensus, even here.

Grundgesetz of Germany and the 1951 convention with regards to refugees both require the taking in of anybody who has a valid claim to a refugee status or to political asylum. That kind of precludes Europe deporting any heterosexual single males who have already entered.

Also, on a different note. In 2015, Germany registered 1.1 million refugees or people applying for refugee status. Let's assume there actually were 1000 people in this crowd that attacked, and that every single one of them was a refugee/applicant for refugee status. that's a shoddy estimate that is very likely too high, but: that would mean that this crowd makes up 1/1100 of the refugees. You can't exactly extrapolate from this that all refugees are like that, and statistics released by the BKA indicate that the majority of recent refugees are not criminal.

Germany's middle ground position comes mostly from the fact that - unlike Britain or France - it did not experience generations of co-existence with peoples from another continent, due do its lack of a colonial empire. The Gastarbeiters who came after WW2 were universally expected to return home (they didn't), as is the vast bulk of refugees arriving in Germany today (they won't leave either).
