More than likely a subsection of security, think of them as the secret psychologists of the party. Statisticians, tacticians, and the like are needed when forming an entirely new CULTURE much less a settlement of 75k people. Psyche testing would have only been preliminary and for the first give or take 10 to 20 years the ruling parties would need to resemble a dictatorship to keep order due to the power failings that any form of social group or club with any type of skeleton active would need, including a re purposed military group. Suffice it to say a sort of secret police will likely have been planned for and been made readily available, you're prolly pretty safe on making that bet.

Which would also explain why my military general is around, as head of security it looks like whoever would be the Intel officer would work very closely with me.

All officers would likely work closely together, especially with the one in charge of constructing fortifications. My characters are planned with the lore in mind every single time, they are made to continue even after the rp, I make it that way so people can imagine what comes next, and what will come after they are gone. Security and Engineering are hand in hand when it comes to defenses, making my character one of the most invaluable members of the security team as well as the Engineering one. That sets his survival chance pretty high compared to a normal grunt engineer who can lay a brick, throw in the forging ability and he's irreplaceable to what would be lost if he went down. You need a man to make you a castle, and a burning castle made the man for the job. Check please : P

Alright, so if an intelligence officer exists, I would like to app my character for it.
It exists, that and all officers would work closely with each other and the Captain since the main goal is survival. Now if private feuds come up I have no problem with that since this is supposed to be, more or less, do what you want for this ship if that makes sense

Alright, then I edited my app.

Tracian Empire wrote:Name: Vladimir Kogalniceanu
Sex: Male
Age: 20
Nationality/Ethnicity: Romanian, with some German ancestry.
Appearance: Something like this:
But sometimes he will wear an uniform like this:(Image)
Personality: Vlad has a carefree and cheerful personality most of the time, usually cracking jokes and teasing others even in dangerous situations. He may seem to be a pretty impulsive person, but that's just a part of his "cover", as he is actually calculated and methodical, usually trying to make plans in advance for everything, even if most of the time he ends up not following them.
Position on Ship:Officially, he's a security officer, unofficially though, he is an intelligence officer.
Activities during spare time: Most probably reading books, playing his guitar or trying to find out things about the other people on board. Usually he's also keeping something that could be considered a small diary, it's the information he eventually wants to give back as a report to his superiors, even if he knows that they are all dead for a long time. He also likes to draw an paint.
Bio: Back on Earth, Vladimir, or Vlad as he is known for short, was part of the Romanian Secret State Police, being one of its best officers, especially good at counter-espionage and monitoring the population. Born into a pretty respected but not too wealthy Romanian family, Vlad graduated the military academy with some of the best grades in his class, and even after joining the state police, he was a member of the military, fighting on some fronts and receiving multiple awards. Unfortunately, the Romanian troops weren't exactly the best armed, and most of his friends and his family were killed. Because of that, another incident, he is certainly.. mentally unstable, but he's acting normal for most of the time. He was eventually chosen to be sent on the ship, and left.
Non-combat Special Traits: He's good at listening and finding information,he's good at cryptology and he's good at painting.
Combat Special Traits: He's skilled with small arms like pistols and knives, he's good in close combat, especially at using tricks to win unfairly, and he's good at setting traps.

If the former would it be possible to control a defensive turret through a turret simulator arcade machine like the gyruss arcade game meets alien invaders?
