Corrian wrote:Another new character. Well, I should say, an old character I made more official.
Name: Lia Robertson
Nickname: Nobody really signs any nicknames to her, so none, really. And if there is any it's not like she cares since she can't hear them.
Age: 16
Sex: Female
Gender: Cisgender
Picture Appearance:
Job Position: None
Abilities: Nothing defining
Origin: April 9th, 2000, Aspen, Colorado, United States
Personality: Lia is rather mellow and laid back most of the time. She's not overly social, but not overly anti social, either. Though she doesn't really communicate much either way, but that's more because she can't more so then because she doesn't want to and is introverted. If anything, she's probably more on the extroverted side, even if ever so slightly. There's just usually a lacking of people for her to actually be able to communicate with, since she can't communicate with them verbally very well at all. So she either needs to talk to them over the Internet, or with her phone, or through sign language. Either way, she comes off as friendly and polite nonetheless, through her chatting and her signing. She may occasionally have a bit of a more angry side, but it's not very prominent, and it's usually when someone pisses her off, and doesn't last long. For the most part, she seems to be kind, and beyond that, there's not a lot to say.
Equipment: 1.Cellphone, sometimes used to communicate, because she CAN spell, but prefers to sign if she can because she's not very fast with texting. Okay with a keyboard, though.
2.Laptop, because she does spend a lot of time on the Internet, even watching videos with subtitles. And movies.Suggested Information
Moral Alignment: True Neutral
Blood Type: A-
Height, Weight, Body Type: 5'2", 106 pounds, small, petite build
Distinguishing Marks: Nothing obvious
Bio/History: Lia has been deaf since birth. And not just mostly deaf. Completely deaf. She can't hear anything at all. Because of it, she never really developed the ability to speak. As she got older, she did some speech lessons here and there (However the heck you do that but apparently it is possible), but even after hours of that still has never really been able to speak well at all, and while she will attempt to speak if she absolutely has to, much prefers doing sign language, or if she has to, type it out for them. Either way, from what you can tell, she seems to be sweet, and a bit adventurous. Because of a lack of hearing, she has developed a love for anything beautifully visual. Movies, the world, whatever, she likes it. You can tell that because she's dealt with it since birth, being deaf is perfectly normal for her, so she doesn't seem to be upset because of it existing because it is a part of her. Is also rather good at reading lips, but at times doing so can be easier said than done.Additional Fun Stuff
Voice: Barely speaks, and if she can help it, she prefers not to speak at all. And when she does speak, she usually can't speak very well, considering that she has never heard words being said before in her life. That did tend to dampen your ability to actually speak them properly. Still, she did get some speech training, but even that could only go so far. For the most part it helped her with spelling and reading lips more so then actually making her able to speak properly.
Personal Skills: Sign language, which is used very heavily for her since it is her only way to really communicate, besides texting or using the computer. Around her parents, or fellow sign language users, she uses it all the time. When someone actually knows sign language, it seems to make her happy and bring a smile to her face to be able to communicate with them.
Sex Orientation: Actually honestly not sure, but bisexual would probably work. Maybe leaning more towards heterosexuality, but I can see her being fine with the idea of dating a girl, too, and for that matter, being attracted to them on some level.
Likes: Hmm...I'll come up with them later.
Dislikes: Hmm...I'll come up with them later. I can't think of anything specific...
Disorders & Handicaps: She has Prelingual Deafness. In her case, meaning that she had been deaf from birth. So she has never heard anything her entire life.
Past Occupations: None
Fears, Wishes, and Goals: Fears: Hates being startled, but due to being deaf her whole life, she doesn't really get startled easy, even when people sneak up on her, because pretty much anyone coming up to her is "sneaking up on her" since she can't hear them coming. Though, she seems to sense the presence of people well. A slight fear of heights, but seems to do okay in them. Slight claustrophobia. A fear of speaking in public, or speaking in front of crowds, for seemingly unsurpising reasons since she can barely speak properly in general. A fear of fire. A fear of long words, only when she has to try and actually say them out loud to people. It makes her very uncomfortable to do so, since she can barely say common words, yet alone words like...the word for a fear of long words: Sesquipedalophobia.
Wishes: Honestly, she doesn't have any. She has no rish to hear, even if it's likely doable nowadays, because she doesn't care to hear. Not hearing has been a part of her entire life, so she's not particularly bothered by it most of the time, and she feels like it is a part of her now.
Goals: Pretty much just living her life how she wants to, so she honestly doesn't have that many goals. Just moving through life.
Theme Song: This
Music taste: Non-existent
Scent: Um...nothing defining.

Can a staff member hold two positions like be the football coach and a teacher?Corrian wrote:Kyraina wrote:Thanks. Can I add a character still?
Yeah. I add a stupid amount, so I have no problems with people adding quite a few more if they feel like it . Especially when we know for a fact how many people are joining (Which I got at least one person who still hasn't posted in here again quite yet with new or old apps)
