We're talking about what makes a good Christian here, and both Testaments in the Bible explicitly condemn homosexuality, so even if you see nothing wrong with it, the Bible does.
As for abortion, I don't want to turn this into a flame war, but I need to note that opposing elective abortion does not have to mean a total ban. (I, for example, support abortion in the case of rape and maternal endangerment).
