Things start to make more sense when you realize that Khan himself was removed after a period of inactivity and I led a brief interregnum that inevitably collapsed into anarchy.

And here we are, then -- one last song.

In terms of goodbyes;

What can I really say? The past four and a half years have been undeniably the most formative of my life. Much as you would like to claim otherwise, this hasn't been entirely Khan's fault, though certainly he played a significant part. I can't truthfully say I depart NationStates with any especial emotion, but I can say it has been influential in my person to a degree which is, frankly, disturbing. I can say further that some of my best friends live halfway across the world because of this infernal political simulator, and because of this truly horrendous epic of a wizard's cock, I know uncomfortable amounts of information about their various psychoses. Without this website, I would not write, I would not long to travel, and I would not love -- not half as well as I do now, anyways. So though I do not claim any grand affection for it or despair at its loss, I can say I owe it much.

And I owe much to you all as well. By and large, I do not know your names nor your faces, your stories nor your futures. But we have, through some ripple effect, some trick of space and time, been altogether more significant in each other's lives than we have any right to, geographically. I will not whisper any of your names on my deathbed, unless cursing Khan for killing me, but I could not be the person that I am without this community.

And I leave because of a lesson it taught me, both directly and in subtle inclination. I will put is as a hated old Algebra teacher of mine did; build your children playsets, buy your wife flowers, do things for them and those you love, because one day you will die. Or to put it in my own way; life is fleeting, life is short, and life is cruel. Do not let it crush you under the weight of its grief. Challenge it; fight it; at every opportunity, show pain and tedium up.

There is opportunity in every passing moment and every eye on every human face. Do not let it slip through your fingers because you are too absorbed in things that do not matter. The only difference between the mundane and the magical is the pursuit, the endless pursuit, of a chance to do something spectacular.

Live brilliantly, because you get so little time to do so. Live such that those you love will have no doubts and those you did not will doubt your very sanity. Live such that you are not forgotten. Burn, my friends, do not grow cold.

Keep it up
I know you can

The heartlines on your hand...

Good night, good luck, and godspeed.

I enjoy meta-humor and self-deprecation. Annoying, right?

That was beautiful nationstateslandville. I hope your future endeavors are fruitful and that you get to where you want and that you have many successes in life, even if we both know that path is going to be full of struggles. Thank you so much. :hug:

Goodluck and godspeed to you as well. And may we see each other in the future, in different circumstances, with more time to spare.

The main takeaway from this is that my epilogue post stated that Jon rapped this with Calliel.

Which is clearly how you should all remember him.
