What if Playboy changes by adding contents, such as governmental debates, current events debates, and other things that are more useful to society than guilty pleasure?

They've had that in the past, and much more. Some of the best writers of the 20th century wrote stories, articles, and essays for Playboy.

I can't say I've ever read an actual Playboy magazine, though I do think I my have been linked to some of their interviews online before. I honestly don't even know that many people who have every used magazines for porn, so I can't say I really have that strong of feelings about this. I guess it's kind of weird, but there's too much of a generational gap for me to really care that much about it.

Oh well, I think the only hope to gain revenue is to sell the company to a corporate giant and hope for their stocks to increase.

The internet is saturated beyond all belief. There's no way they would make a reasonable dent in that regard.

Why won't they start making porn? Like Reality Kings or Brazzers. They already have a brand name, they could reach the top pretty fast.

I imagine because that type of pornography doesn't fit their brand image.

Hefner's first-ever editor's letter claimed that Playboy was aimed at men who 'enjoy mixing up cocktails and an hors d’oeuvre or two, putting a little mood music on the phonograph and inviting in a female acquaintance for a quiet discussion on Picasso, Nietzsche, jazz, sex'.

Whether anyone contributing to this thread buys into that attempt to claim sophistication for a Playboy brand that was becoming increasingly frayed at the edges is another matter entirely, but - and I can't really speak from experience here - I don't imagine that your average video on Reality Kings or Brazzers involves a quiet discussion on Picasso, Nietzsche or jazz over a freshly mixed drink.

Dropping the nudes and keeping the articles is likely far more in keeping with what Hefner wants Playboy to be than hardcore pornography would be.

Actually I agree with Serbian. A lot of the time a nice set of stylish lingerie can look a lot more desirable than your bog standard pair of boobs. Even when it's the same pair.

Plus, hardcore pornography is Hustler's thing. And Hustler has always been the trashier, dirtier mag in comparison to Playboy's relatively more suave and refined identity.

I don't think I've ever read an actual Playboy magazine. Maybe now I will, since I won't look like a total perv.

They have it, the problem they run into is one person gets the photos and then he shares them.

Suddenly the entire internet as the photos.

Magzines like playboy sow seeds for a society that is given to lust fullness and conspicuous consumption. This generally leads to a breakdown in the general morality of the people. It is important that not only playboy stop the nudes but be banned
