Navy Hymn/Anthem

Postby Big Fat Booty (Ancient) » Thu Jul 08, 2010 2:22 pm

What is your nation's hymn/anthem to raise morale?

Our National Anthem for the Big Fat Booty Navy is: I'm on a Boat MotherF***** by T-Pain and Lonely Island (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMt-CCkbZ-4)

Are your sailors/ officers required to sing it in unision?

There's no specific navy hymn or anthem in Charlotte Ryberg, and sailors/officers are not required to sing it in unison. That's because they work in shifts when not in frontline.

Voices of Spring

All sailors are required to know the waltz by heart, and able to both hum and dance in tune with it properly. Preferably they waltz in numbers between two to four, although dancing alone is sufficient. Single waltzing frowned upon as it breaks Naval cohesion and morale if you're not dancing with the fellow next to you, especially if said fellow has already offered you his hand.

However, this is excused if you are married. You cannot actually expect a man whom is married to be dancing with another fellow, even if they are his comrades-in-arms. It is most certainly unbecoming towards his wife and kinship.

Anchors Away to the Temeevian navy! The Green Navy now on the Blue! Hail to the Temeevian sailors defending the mighty fleet and fatherland!

Stand Navy down the field, sails set to the sky.
We'll never change our course, so Army you steer shy-y-y-y.
Roll up the score, Navy, Anchors Aweigh.
Sail Navy down the field and sink the Army, sink the Army Grey.

Get underway, Navy, Decks cleared for the fray,
We'll hoist true Navy Blue So Army down your Grey-y-y-y.
Full speed ahead, Navy; Army heave to,
Furl Black and Grey and Gold and hoist the Navy, hoist the Navy Blue

Blue of the Seven Seas; Gold of God's great sun
Let these our colors be till all of time be done-n-n-ne,
By Severn's shore we learn Navy's stern call:
Faith, courage, service true with honor over, honor over all.

Anchors Aweigh, my boys
Anchors Aweigh
Farewell to college joys
We sail at break of day, 'ay 'ay 'ay
O'er our last night ashore
Drink to the foam
Until we meet once more
Here's wishing you a happy voyage home!

Heave a ho there! sailor
Ev'rybody drink up while you may
Heave a ho there! sailor
For you're gonna sail at break of day
Drink a-way, Drink a-way,
For you sail at break of day, Hey!

Stand Navy, down the field, sails set to the sky.
We'll never change our course, so Army you steer shy-y-y-y.
Roll up the score, Navy, Anchors Aweigh
Sail, Navy, down the field and sink the Army, sink the Army Grey.

Yes, our Navy does have a song and they love to sing, but they are by no means required to sing it. (Singing is encouraged.)

The TurtleShroom Navy Theme Song wrote:Melody

We, the men, men of TurtleShroom,
Get on our boats and we sail,
Well we would if we could but our country's landlocked,
-something we see as, a fail.

None, the less, we all improvise,
For our country we defend,
Rise, oh boats, rise over the land,
Adapting has not an end.

With, our ships, our big floating ships,
Our sailors have made amends,
Thanks to all of our funding and all of our smarts,
We're sailing away again!

TurtleShroom, their Navy are we,
In our big hovering boats,
The tech we put in it is a state secret, yes,
'Tis what keeps these boats afloat.

Sail, all day, and sailing all night,
Over the land and the sea,
We will fight, for what we think's right,
Excellent transport indeed,
Hordes of men, or thousands of men,
We will carry just to win,
Then when the war's over will shove off again,
We celebrate, and then,

We, the men, men of TurtleShroom,
Get on our boats and we sail,
Wherever our mission, wherever we go,
Our Navy will never fail.

Travelling for hours in a gigantic boat can become extremely boring; singing is one of the main things to lift spirits. Several battleships- through generous donations from patriotic music stores -are fitted with an organ, an electric keyboard, a few drums, and a guitar to ease the boredom in the downtime between their duties. It's very popular.

"Heart of Oak" is the official march of the Royal Albion Rhodesian Navy:

Come cheer up, my lads! 'tis to glory we steer,
To add something more to this wonderful year;
To honour we call you, not press you like slaves,
For who are so free as the sons of the waves?

Chorus
Heart of oak are our ships, heart of oak are our men;
We always are ready, steady, boys, steady!
We'll fight and we'll conquer again and again.

We ne'er see our foes but we wish them to stay,
They never see us but they wish us away;
If they run, why we follow, and run them ashore,
For if they won't fight us, we cannot do more.

Chorus

They swear they'll invade us, these terrible foes,
They frighten our women, our children, and beaus;
But should their flat bottoms in darkness get o'er,
Still Britons they'll find to receive them on shore.

Chorus

We'll still make them fear, and we'll still make them flee,
And drub 'em on shore, as we've drubb'd 'em at sea;
Then cheer up, my lads! with one heart let us sing:
Our soldiers, our sailors, our statesmen and Queen.

Chorus

For Those in Peril on the Sea is often played when a submarine goes out on patrol. Nobody sings.

When they return safely, the crews like the hear The Holy Ground.

Capitalism is always the answer. Whenever there's a problem in capitalism, you just need some more capitalism. If the solution isn't capitalism, then it's not really a problem. If your capitalism gets damaged, you just need to throw some capitalism on it and get on with your life.
