Still in high school. But with the number of AP classes I'm taking, I may as well be in college. Also, I realized I probably won't have time to post tonight. Go ahead if you have something to post, I'll be better able to respond in...say...two or three hours?

Can someone explain how American education is structures for me because I'm so confused? I don't understand what AP and Honours are not how it is tested. Also, what are SATS and GPA?

Honors=somewhat carder than a regular class.

AP= Advanced Placement, harder than Honors and can be counted towards college credits.

GPA= Grade Point Average, basically your overall grade for all of your classes.

SAT's= Standardized Acuplacer Tests, annoying tests that are used by colleges to see how much you actually know compared to what your school is claiming you know.

Personality: Emilie would like to be friendly, but she has had very little [decent] interaction with people since the death of her parents. If around people, Emilie is very quiet, simply because she is cripplingly shy, and inexperienced in making small-talk.
Skills: Emilie is skilled at hiding, which although cowardly, is a good skill to have when you are young and alone in an unforgiving world. She is also, quite simply, good at running. She has a high level of cardiovascular endurance. Emilie is able to speak German, as her parents thought it was imperative that she learn, lest the language die altogether.
Likes: Emilie likes to find objects which might give her some idea of what the world was like before the Outbreak. Her favourite items are old books and photographs.
Dislikes: Emilie despises all things related to the illness which she has evaded her entire life. She also rather dislikes vegetables, preferring to eat meat, if able.
Fears: Emilie, not understanding that she is immune to T-13, is constantly afraid of contracting the virus. In addition, she fears the various groups of bandits and other bad characters, as she knows that she is not strong enough to repel an attack.

Bio:

Emilie was born in what was once Bend, Oregon, sixteen years ago. Her parents, doctors from Germany, were brought to the United States at the start of the T-13 infections in order to research the disease and to hopefully find a way to cure it. They were unsuccessful, and the virus started to destroy everything around them. Only after the world was burning did the Behrends parents have their child, Emilie. The girl was born into chaos, and grew up under constant fear. When Emilie was five, her father contracted the virus, and died soon after. It was early in Emilie's life, however she remembers the way that her father looked before he died. It was horrific. After the death of her father, Emilie and her mother set out to find a different life; somewhere they might be safe. Instead of safety, they found more hardship. Emilie was still very young, so her mother had to find food for both of them. The entire time, though, Emilie observed, and learned.

When Emilie was twelve, she and her mother were wandering near the site of an old city in Southern California. They were searching for food, however what they found was far different. They found that one building, amongst the hundreds left in the abandoned city, was seemingly alive with lights and sounds. Emilie was wary, but her mother was enthusiastic about going to see what was going on inside. The duo went to the window of the building, looking in on something Emilie would not soon forget. There were men inside, all dressed in tribal wear, although most certainly not from any tribe. They were standing around a woman in the centre, taking turns cutting her with cruel blades. They ate her flesh, which made Emilie scream. The men heard her scream, and ran outside to investigate. Emilie and her mother were taken inside, where they were both tied up. The cannibals ignored their previous kill, instead looking to Emilie's mother. Emilie was made to watch as her mother was burnt alive and eaten. The girl was spared only because she was "too skinny," and wouldn't provide the nourishment that the cannibals needed. Emilie ran from that place, intent on never stopping in any city, ever again, for it caused the death of her mother. Now, Emilie is wandering in Colorado, hoping to find something to eat fast, as she is running out of energy.

From what i can remember from my days, Honors was basically a place for your above average kids to go, and AP is advanced placement is like college curriculum, in high school. Colleges like to get kids who were in honors or AP and kids do it for scholarships. The SAT is a test at the end of your senior year you take, and GPA means Grade Point Average.

I was in an AP course once, but i immediately dropped that shit.

There are also state tests and regulations that vary, ex. MSA = Maryland State Assessment, Home Access = Maryland Online Grading System, Community Hours are also required to graduate in MD whereas some states don't require them.

The Sheriff is still outside the gates talking to the remnant group and is the one offering them cigarettes while Mickey, the old Irish guy, and the other guard are leading Hugh and his wife to see Father Mackenzie. I'll edit my old post to make it a bit more clear then counter post once I get back from class later. Sound good to you buddy? So you good with making a quick edit?
