Hairy Cucumber Men is a cucumber shaped island where millions of cucumbers grow everywhere, even in the cities. Hairy Cucumber Men is inhabited by cavemen who only eat vegetables. Most of all, we eat cucumbers and even worship them. Because of our dedication to cucumberism (our religion and way of life) Hairy Cucumber Men tend to have green tinted skin and are also very hairy.

With that, I am officially closing sign-ups tomorrow at just past 18:00 GMT. If two more teams are to sign-up, then Westmeadow Tavern will be knocked off the list.

The team see's a lot of youth additions but finally Lief Muster leaves as a player but he joins the completely new coaching squad. This will be Milaks last cup sadly and he to will join the squad. Tota will still be going to the next world cup but that will be his last. The players really are ageing. But that doesn't matter this may be one of Toiletdonia's last tournaments but all the players will become part of the Mossulia team. Our new puppet. So that is all from me. I must return to the sidelines but not as a player but as a manager. I'm excited and I will be writing my Blog about this and youth world cup football so wish me luck and come on you Toilets!

Clearing out.

Well this might be our last issue but wile we all still draw breath here is all the news and reviews we are great. Toiletdonian players last night were flown into an Eastfield Lodge airport in the west. They had dinner and went to sleep. This morning we were watching them train. Milak is getting on a bit but they assured us he is still a top player. The Toiletdonian club looked like a strong bunch of lads. We don't think that this team will struggle at all and they are better than the world cup squad. We can win this I'm telling ya.
Image
Milak in training

We were then heading off to a press conference and here is what was said:
Press: Do you think the squad is starting to get on a bit manager?
Vagoora: Well age means experience and I have every bit of confidence in my player. I played with some of them and they are truly some of the best I have ever seen and I think we can win this. I reckon that Milak in particular can still play out of his skin despite his age and will be a major force in one of his last tournaments.
Press: Do you think that with new staff the team will be able to get together and familiar with each other and the team in time?
Vagoora: I think that we will. We already know each other after playing with each other and we already know each other well and that this won't be a problem. Me and Milak are used to playing off each other and I think we can transfer it into coaching. The team already know Milak well as a friend so if they can respect us all then we can be invincible.
Press: What do you think of Toiletdonia thinking of pulling out of the world cup and replacing us with Mossulia?
Vagoora: Well I am not against it. I think starting again could be a good idea but I would like to think that we didn't need to. That is why I will do my best for the team at the world cup to stop this coming to an end. But if it does happen I will just go with it because they're not replacing the team so much as giving this one a new name.
Press: What are your thought on this years youth squad and what plans do you have for them?
Vagoora: Well I think that the current youth squad is seriously one of the best we have ever had. I am looking forward especially to having; Jagger, Veille, Trent, Teno and Ash coming up. They are all great new players and they have a future in the Toiletdonian squad while I am manager. The rest of the squad also have a chance at getting into my squad if they play their best. I have high hopes for them yes.
Press: Thanks for your time Vagoora we wish you the best as manager and look forward to the first game.
Vagoora: Thank you I will be back after the first game which hopefully will be a win!

Mossilia on Monday
The weekend may be over but were still analysing it!

Today Mossulia start they're cup campaign. Puppets of Toiletdonia we plan to do well and you better watch our for us. Today our squad arrived at the hotel and slept. Here is the wanted letter for all our players:

WANTED
Football players
Any age and gender
Experience preferred but not required.
Must have a shaved or bald head.

They had million of applications. Today the squad was together for the first time and they started prep. In a press conference the manager said: "We plan to do as well as we can it this. We hope to show Toiletdonia that we are a better option than the national team and that we can win this. We are going to have our future in our feet and as a bunch of amateurs hope to show the pro's how it is done. We hope this is the start of a long happy history for our great football side." Today the squad in training for the first time. Our scout has picked up the following. In training one of the bald men. A guy called Bob. He sprained his ankle in a training exercise. We wish him the best but his cup is over. So now with the team prepared Mossulia are ready to go out and win the cup. We will have all the latest at the draw and after the matches. Good luck to all!

Managerial team:

Manager: None currently, Vladimir O'Shea in charge
Ass. Manager: Vladimir O'Shea
First Team Coach: Adam Loftus

Team: (although I will most of the time post a team line-up for each match, so use that first). Starters are in bold.

Strikers:
Shabeen Ahmad III (CF and WF) (Captain): plays for RGS Athletic, he was one of the rising stars of the youth league and cup competitions, Shabeen Ahmad Jnr has penned a contract that made him one of the youngest footballer to turn professional in the top flight. Top scorer for the international team so far. Age: 27, Goals scored: 88
Sameer Ahmad (CF and L&R MF): plays for Cleopatrana FC in Delaclava, record signing for the 2nd Divison side St. Bartholomew Wanderers; 2nd Division player of the year twice. He was dropped from the starting line-up halfway thorugh WC 49 Qualifying due to his lack of goals (3 compared to his brother's 19 at that point). He is overshadowed by his brother, but has found a move away from VLC FC to prove his worth. And now after Dylan Bell has been permanently excluded from international football, he has gone up to starting striker once more. Age: 25, Goals Scored: 18
Chris Lau (CF and WF): plays for RGS Athletic. He rarely plays in the national team, but is itching to get away from his bench role at his club team to play first team somewhere else. Age: 30, Goals Scored: 13
Adam Johnson (CF): Plays for WB Albion. First team at home, he does have a bit of flair, but still has quite a good eye for opportunities, albeit the fact that he hasn't scored many at all, but the fact that he is where he is is good enough. Age: 26, Goals Scored: 4
Robert Andrews (CF and WF): Plays for NT United. The newest addition to the squad, he comes to take the space of Sameer Ahmad who has moved on to the starting eleven. Relatively young, but he did play in the side that won the Daiden Premier Division in its first full professional season. Age: 23, Goals Scored: 3

Midfielders:
James Tarpy (L&R MF, DMF,can also play WF): plays for NT United. Does play in quite a few positions, but his usual position is on the flank. He is quite a tall player, at 192 cm tall, but he hates using his head unless he finds himself inside the box somehow. Age: 32, Goals Scored: 5
James Scott (all of midfield): plays for FM Town. Goals Scored: 1
Daniel Scott (all of midfield): plays for FM Town. These two are twins (not identical, thankfully) and they both play for the same team, so there is a lot of competition between these two for a chance to score and outplay the other. Both are 31 years old. Goals Scored: 1
Ben Maddison (L&R MF, AMF, can also play in WF): plays for SS City. Voted Fairest Player of the season at least three times, whilst playing for a multitude of clubs, with five teams taking him on loan for half a season. He hasn't actually chosen which team to play for yet, but he is sticking with SS City at the moment, considering they are the first team to sign him and they did that just recently. Age: 26, Goals Scored: 2
Thomas O'Henly (all of midfield): plays for Salaga in QPeMA. At 22 years of age, this kid is the youngest player in the team, but still hasn't played in the top flight. He's only here due to his potential. Goals Scored: 3
Alex Gallagher (all of midfield): plays for SS City. Goals Scored: 2
Jack Gallagher (all of midfield): plays for Macaronia FC. Another set of twins, identical this time, and also a set of really bad troublemakers. Combined these two have had five times as many more cards than the rest of the players in the team combined. In seven out of ten matches one of these two play, there is a yellow card involved. One in every twenty matches ends up with one of these two being sent off. Ages: 26, Goals Scored: 2
Kyle Etherington (L&R MF): plays for NT United. Quite the opposite of the above two. He hasn't had a card in his life, yet 19% of the opposition players who tackle him get a red card. The percentage may look small, but still significant. He has quick feet, and can move the ball around basically anyone. Not very team-minded on the other hand, so is a bit of a ball hog. Age: 28, Goals Scored: 1

Defenders:
David Patterson (RB and CB) (Vice-Captain): plays for WB Albion. The tall man at the back, but he is also a very good weightlifter. He is good-tempered, but he has once thrown an opposition player over his net and into the advertising boards. Needless to say he was suspended for a month after that rather odd incident. But that was a rare incident, he usually doesn't do that. Age: 32, Goals Scored: 3
Geoff Wood (CB): plays for UR Town. Little is known about this ex-criminal turned football star. He was done for shoplifting, drugs, murder and desertion from the army, but all in different countries. This guy is technically a citizen of around 500 nations, so he could hide away in any one of them. Now he has a tracking chip drilled into his skull, so he can't hide for long. Still, he does appear around incidents in foreign changing rooms when something gets stolen. Age: 30, Goals Scored: 2
Dimitar Klitschko (all of defence): plays for Seniors FC. Rumour has it that he is a zombie, but one thing is for sure; there was a Dimitar Klitschko born more than a century before the onset of the first World Cup, and he had no death certificate. And this Dimitar has no birth certificate, so no-one knows how old he is. He is quite fast and agile, but he could just have tons of operations done on him. He is also the key defender for the senior (80+) national team. Age: 438, the only quadcentenarian in the commonwealth. Goals Scored: 2
Leonardo Williams (LB and RB): plays for Monksville United. Cousin of Westmeadow Tavern center forward Emily Williams, but they play at nearly the opposite ends of the pitch. When playing against each other, he has injured her once, and that was quite a small injury she got. Still, he does get involved in the game, even if it means that he slides a lot in an attempt to get the ball. He has been promoted from the bench in light of the recent retirement of former captain Matthew Lawrence. Age: 28, Goals Scored: 2
John Irvine (LB and RB): plays for Macaronia FC. This guy demands money every time someone forces him to speak. This does present some problems on the pitch, so he isn't that effective when it comes to teamwork. Still, he is one of the richest players on the team. Age: 31, Goals Scored: 0
Wayne Brookes (All of defence): plays for UR Town. He was voted Debuting Player of the Year after Shabeen Ahmad Jnr was awarded it. But nowadays, he lacks vitality, probably because he plays with a bionic arm and leg, but this does give him a ferocious tackle, often breaking other players legs in the course of doing his job. When he does take a shot at the other end, it usually forces everyone to get out of the way, but it also makes holes in the back of the net, and is too fast for some referees to see, so that's why he's only scored one recorded goal. Age: 26, Goals Scored: 4
Jane Williamson (All of defence): plays for St. Bartholomews Wanderers. Currently the only (and the first) girl on the team, she is rather small, but what she lacks in size, she makes up for in speed and ferocity. Is prone to receiving a few cards now and then, but almost always plays clean. Age: 23, Goals Scored: 1

Goalkeepers:
Aidan Jagger: plays for WB Albion. He has scored a goal in the WC 49, but this was just down to pure luck (at least everyone hopes it was) and then two more the following WC (eek). One of the star goalies in the squad, he has proved himself to be reliable, time and time again (except from that one point where he accidentally threw the ball into his own net). Age: 29, Goals Scored: 3
Matthew Barnet: plays for Sparta U Gladiators in Kalasion. A reserve goalie who is, more often than not, is likened to as the perennial bench warmer. Age: 26, Goals Scored: 1
Bennett Wood: plays for RGS Athletic. This guy has done a great job in being the last line of defense for the country's top club team, but this season his team haven't done a great deal up front negating his fine work at the back. Age: 31, Goals Scored: 1

Total Goal Tally (retired players only) (all competitons):
Dylan Bell: 34
Matthew Lawrence: 7

Formation: Formation: 4-1-2-1-2 (names are examples)

-------------Sameer Ahmad-------------Shabeen Ahmad Jnr

------------------------James Scott (AMF)
--------Ben Maddison----------------------James Tarpy

------------------------Daniel Scott (DMF)

---Leonardo Williams-----------------------Ben Patterson
---------------Dimitar Klitschko---Geoff Wood

---------------------------Aidan Jagger
but shall revert to 4-3-3 with two WFs and a CF along with one DMF and two SMFs to support the WFs occasionally.

In the event my opponent posts an RP first, they may:

Select my scorers: Y (usually the front two get the goals)
Give out yellow cards to my players: Y (not more than five)
Give out red cards to my players: Y (only one more than the number given to your team)
RP injuries to my players: Y (only state that the player is injured, I'll decide whether to make them serious, and only a maximum of 3)
Godmod injuries: N
Godmod scoring events: Y (to a certain extent)
Godmod other events: Y (to a realistic sensible extent)
Style Modifier: Counter-attacking +1 (out of 3) and +2 (out of 5).
WARNING! Failure to comply with the above shall result in your nation being overturned with fire by my extensive set of super WMDs.

Toi Sports

Yesterday saw the draw for the Imperial Commonwealth Soccer in Eastfield Lodge. Toiletdonia ended up in group A which gave the team a sense of importance. They have been drawn in an okay group. Apart from host Eastfield Lodge there is not that much in the way of a challenge. Toiletdonian team reports back that the first team will all be fine for the first game. The whole team are ready and prepared to set up for their first game against Eastfield Lodge will be a derby and the whole team is ready to go and beat EL into the rather soft and well layered ground. The fans are saying that they will be doing their bit in cheering the team on from every corner of the planet. This includes some Toiletdonian fans living in Balida who shouted this morning on Twitterface:

"Come on lions you beat those EL plonkers! We can win this time for revenge. After that heart break in the quarter-final in Toiletdonia (which we were there by the way.) I hope that you guys can take them they are good. Good luck with the game and I will be watching from my home with all my friends and they will be cheering Lions all the way."

Here are our now are the predictions for the cup. It could go anyway so see this only as a guide to it. If you want anymore odds stats. ect. please got o our website http://www.toisport.toi.

The lions won't have a problem getting out fo this group. But we think first will be a step too far.
(49) Eastfield Lodge 1st
The host nation will be seeing the happy side of thing we think and will break out of the group in first.
(UR)Soviet Massacre 4th
We think they could have a hard time in EL this year and might as well have never turned up.

Group B

(UR) Mossulia 2nd
Our puppets can always pull off a shock. They are hard working and could pull off a good result
(89) Undeadzombiee 1st
Zombiee may be a rival but we think they could make it far in this cup.
(UR) Iron Coast 4rd
Well we think that this team could struggle to take off with iron dragging them to the bottom of the ocean.
(188) The Fanboyists 3rd
Well they may have very sexy kit but we don't think they can go far with their current form.

Group C

(UR) Ziok 3rd
This young new side may be fun and excitable. But really they will struggle to climb past 2nd we think.
(UR) Dalarcya 4th
Take the first bus home mate. We really have no idea how this team can win this cup at all.
(59) Balida 1st
They ruled the Baptism of Fire so we think they can rule this cup as well and the group here we go.
(111) Westmeadow Tavern 2nd
Good luck here puppets. They can make it to the quarter-finals but no further in the end.

Group D

(79) Silver Beach 2nd
They may be better than Tarrentum but they don't have the same amount of hard work and capitalism to help them through.
(104) Tarrentum 1st
They may not be the highest ranked but I think they could go far in this cup.
(UR) Hairy Cucumber Men 4th
Never heard of them and they look as energetic as vegetables.
(UR) Bergovinaia 3rd
Not exactly the new kids on the block. But I would imagine they could make it to third place.

Eastfield Lodge 4-3 Silver beach
A rivalry I reckon. Should be exciting so tune in and enjoy.

Undeadzombiee 2-1 Westmeadow Tavern (AET)
Well Zombie could win this but really I would expect a tight game.

Balida 3-1 Mossulia
Balida should take this game by a comfortable margin in this game. Good luck to our puppet though.

Toiletdonia 3-2 Tarrentum (AET)
Nothing like a rivalry with a recent result fresh in mind to get a good game.

Semi-Finals

Eastfield Lodge 2-0 Undeadzombiee
EL will take this game as far as we are concerned. Although Undeadzombiee are re-known for wining smaller tournaments.

Balida 1-1 Toiletdonia (AET, PENS 2-4)
I don't expect either team to take it in normal time so a penalty win would be expected.

3rd place play-off

Undeadzombiee 2-4 Balida
Exciting but I expect an easy win for Balida so good luck to them.

Final
Eastfield Lodge 2-2 Toiletdonia (AET, PENS 7-6)
I expect everything will come full circle in the end but here we go. A sudden death win for the hosts I think.

So their you have it something for EL, something for us and something for Balida. SO good luck and we hope that our crazy fans will be behind us the whole time. We hope this will be a good cup but Toiletdonian manager Vagoora says "We are hoping for a good atmosphere in the first game and I hope the lads and the fans have lots of fun. We are all aware of the rivalry and that should only add to the match day magic. Hope all the fans are enjoying their time here and hope they can enjoy the first game."

Dave's opinion

Well hello their. I'm Dave some weird student who works for the Daily Scandal. I'm under paid and over stressed so please ignore the anger and angst in this article. what I don't understand is just how this Eastfield Lodge side managed to beat us. They have lost their top goal scorer and their manager and still they once again managed to knock us down like we were soft.

The other thing is, is that really every world cup or tournament everyone's saying "This must be our year. We will win it this time." and every year we all come out with tear streaming down our face. We went into the game knowing there was a score to settle and we only left the game with a bigger rivalry. This was a chance to show EL that we are strong and we blew it.

And that is not all. The utter lack of goals sucked as well. No goals for us at all it was like watching you innards being pulled out with a spoon. Not nice. They had all the control all everything. I don't trust us to win much here now. Still we could face them again which would be fun in the knock-out stage. Beating them then would be what I would call the perfect revenge.

So as you can see the result in my opinion isn't a good one. Still the next two matches will probably bring good news but for now we go bottom of the table. The only thing that really is troubling me is the fact that our puppets Mossulia seem to be having a better cup than us at the minute. They beat The Fanboyists 1-0 convincingly. I can see why there are thoughts on bringing the national side to the end and starting a Mossulian one instead. Still as a Lions fan I would rather keep the national side. Maybe it is just the fact that I am very patriotic. But anyway come Lions you can still win this and it is never over until the final whistle sounds.

But also please have a look at our new kit I think that they're really nice. You can buy one in shops these days and I will be wearing my home kit. This is Dave and that was my opinion thank you and I will leave you with these pictures:

Hard defeat against Westmeadow Tavern

Hopes were high for the Ziok national teams first international game, an estimated 1.3 billion were watching throughout the Empire, all cheering for their boys in red. The game played fairly even through the first half, the highlight being a PK for Ziok that was skillfully saved by the Westmeadow goalkeeper. The second half was without a doubt dominated by Westmeadow, with the game winning goal being scored in the 68th minute. From then on it was a defensive game for Ziok, only having 1 shot on goal the entire half. Suprising fact from the game; no yellow cards were issued, and only three fouls were taken (two on Ziok in the first half, Westmeadows in the second), making it one of the least fouled games in history.
Always to be hopeful, the citizens of the Empire eagerly await the next match, hoping to excell in the cup. The teams coach Yuriah Nijjan has said the team will be pulling extra practice to gear up for the upcomming match.

The Soviet Massacre

Toiletdonia 4-1 Soviet Massacre

Last night Toiletdonia took on a new and young Soviet side and easily came out on top. The managerial team was jumping for joy on the sidelines. The fans afterwards were saying "After this we could be going on to get revenge on EL. I loved watching that game and I really am looking forward to the second round and the next game come on you Lions!" After this the Lions only have to draw to qualify basically.

The game started well for the lions with a run down the line from Jankor. He crossed it into the box and a header from Vust nearly went into the net but it was punched over. The following corner was also an opportunity. Ki Miko smashed it into the box and Tellvos kicked it hard at the goal. It went in! Tellvos ran off to the line and started dancing with a drunken photographer but the ref had given it to offside because Victor Milak was just ahead of the line.

Next the first goal came but from an unlikely place. It was Fiden who ran towards the edge of the box. He was surrounded by Soviets and he passed it back to Leimamn who chipped it over into the box. it was the soviet keeper who came close but it dropped over the top and it was punched into the cross bar. It dropped down over the line into the net and this time all the player looked at the ref. he nodded to say it was a goal and Fiden did five back-flips and went so generally crazy and was booked for being a bit to celebration crazy.

The next ten minutes of play things went a bit crazy. Soviets managed to get a chance from the half-way line and it was punched back away from the goal to the edge. Then the soviets kicked it back into the box and a clean header sent Daniels sprawling and it was into the back of the net. The scoreline was 1-1 and The lions were left upset. But then Jankor straight from kick off sent the ball flying towards goal. It was a save but it went off into the control of Milak. He curled it right into the back of the net and Toiletdonia went 2-1 up and the game was back in the Lions hands.

It was only a short time till half time but the Lions were determined to go in playing out of their skins. The manager shouted from the sidelines: "Press for it!" The lads heard him and it was Toa that had the last chance of the game. He dribbled down to the edge of the box passed it to Jankor and he ran into the centre on the edge of the box. It was passed back to him and he smashed it towards the goal. It was punched away and the half time whistle was blown. Vagoora had a positive half time team talk and the lads came back on looking fresh.

The final goal was to come in the 79th minute. It was Jankor who got the ball. He ran into the corner. He passed it to Tellvos who crossed it into the box. Velcota got onto the end of it and he pocked it over the line to bring it to a complete massacre of the Soviets 4-1. Vagoora jumped onto the pitch his tie blowing around in the wind and a massive smile on his face. The ref finally blew the final whistle and everyone in the Lions end were jumping up and down spilling their beers.

After the game Vagoora said to the lads "You guys played well and did well. I am happy with you and I hope to see you guys replicate this in the next match. It was great football and you make the side me and Victor look bad. Good match boys non of you ever let anyone down and you did it for the fans. I am pleased very, very pleased. Now go have a shower and exploit room services when you get back drink plenty of booze.!"

Toi Sport
New Azura 1-2 Toiletdonia

Toiletdonia last night played against a new, New Azura side. They managed a good win making it 2-1. Vagoora after the game said "Never have I been so proud. Te lads have done it and they are going into the next round with a happy ending. We have a good game up next and a win of the tournament is never out of our reach. Come on the Lions!"

The game started in a good way for the Azura they got the ball and crossed it into the box. Sporo punched it out of the box but they kicked the ball back in from the edge of the box and it went in over Sporo. The goal was almost ripped in two and Sporo covered his eyes in shame. Only 5 minutes have gone
and it was 1-0 to the other side. Vagoora was shouting advice from the line and the team tried to pick themselves back up for the next ten minutes. It took a while but finally they were back on track and finally the chances were coming back.

It was a good goal that took the game back into Teroian control. Velcota got the ball on the edge of the box and flicked it in. There was a foul in the box which was called for a penalty. Vagoora jumped up and down on the bench like it was a goal. It was Milak who would take it. He took a short run up and he looked like he would be smashing it because that was what he was lined up to do. Then he chipped it and sent the keeper flailing. It was in and he gave Vagoora a bear hug. It was a great moment and the ref almost cried it was said. he is from El and watching his rivals win is disappointing.

The final goal came with only minutes left. It was Jankor who had it at the half way line.He passed it forward to Tellvos who kicked it across goal to Dehaim who ran past the defence and kicked it at the goalkeeper. It was deflected straight to Velcota who kicked it at goal and it hit the post bouncing to Dehaim's head. He nodded it into the goal and the goalkeeper who stretched for it but it went in-between his leg and into the back of the net. It was a goal and the first he has scored in a while. he ran over to the touchline and did the Teroi dance. He put his hand on his hips and did a back-flip. That was the dance. He celebrated like crazy and it was called for full time. because of this and the other result we will play Silver Beach in The quarter-final.

Vagoora afterwards said on the draw "Their is nothing like a rivalry to get the players doing well. We hope that this can be a win in the ongoing rivalry between the two of us. This is a great opportunity to show the fans the best of us and hopefully they will all enjoy it and behave well. I have a feeling that this could be one of the greatest games ever seen by anyone. Lets enjoy it okay and bring this performance to the next game and try hard. Really hard."
