Here's the last thread, for convenience: viewtopic.php?f=25&t=317857
Thanks to Bereia and all the former hosts of these threads for setting an example of how these things are meant to be set up. Now, as the title suggests, just post some things that someone in your nation has ever said. They can be political, military, or kind of random. Just post it.
As it wouldn't be the the Quotes Thread without this wonderfully drunken tradition, here are the rules of the NSQuotes Drinking Game. I've made a few additions, and feel free to post some more if need be. I'll happily put them in.
"There comes a point in warfare where logic break downs. Your army, your navy, your band of misfits becomes so large that you can not handle it any longer. It simply becomes impossible to handle that many soldiers, with only so many resources on such a large terrain. So, you take the easy route. You stop trying to handle everything, you stop trying to coordinate everyone. You just charge, you just make them run forward. With modern technology, we can automatically mow down horde after horde of people, comfortable in bunkers or trenches. Same goes for captains and generals. They sit in their little fortresses and sip wine, while the blood of their own soldiers runs under their feet. Disgusting. Now, this might seem like a poor way of running things, but it isn't. You have plenty of auxiliary or ancillary troops waiting behind lines, rifles at the ready. As your nation gets ever stronger and larger, it doesn't get any easier to defend. Your borders get hard to patrol, your patrols get stretched farther and farther along the belt of your nation. It's the same thing here, but instead of trees and rocks we're trying to safeguard, it is human lives."
