You have been cordially invited to a Party being held at the Blackwell country estate of Lord and Lady Hawthorne. This party is to celebrate the Lord’s stepping down as the Minister of Justice after a successful career of 25 years. This Party will extend a few days to also commemorate the Engagement of The eldest son of Lord and Lady Hawthorne, Nathaniel, to Miss Josephine Ainsworth.

The Estate:
this is a rough estimate about how it looks we may add a Map later if need be.
There will be plenty of NPCs the major ones will be Rp’d by me and the Co-ops, feel free to rp a maid or another staff member as needed, in other words if you want you can rp minor characters in your posts.

Everyone this is my first time Hosting an RP thread so please bare with me and give any advice that could help if you will.

1.) No meta-gaming, god-modding, etc.
2.) What the Op and Co-ops say goes.
3.) There could possibly be some gory subjects, so keep that at the PG-13 level.
4.) Refrain from arguing too much in the OOC, please.
5.) No strong language, please but you can use appropriate substitutes
6.) Have a bunch of fun! :3
7.) If you get punished for breaking these rules, deal with it.
8.) Your character is liable to die at any time, so don’t complain when and/or if it happens. I will probably ask for permission before hand, but I might not.
9.) IF you look at the Spoilers on the apps you will be out of the RP, this is for fun and you knowing things before they are talked about IC will take the fun out of it. Does not apply to Co-ops or The OP.

Appearance: a large Barrel chested man over 6 and half feet tall. Has ruddy cheeks, and dark brown hair.
Personality: kind but vindictive, if someone harms those he cares about. Has a short temper,

he is a rather large man and thus is noticeable and leaves noticeable traces.

Bio: He is The lords personal Physician, to help with the mans health issues. He and Lord Hawthorne were childhood friends, but that changed after Charles became a minister. He remains ‘friends’ with the Hawthorne’s especially with Katherine. He is like an uncle for Nathaniel and miss Ainsworth.
Reasons for a grudge: [spoiler= not serious] He was originally betrothed to Katherine before Hawthorne's family forced the engagement to break up.

Appearance:
Personality: manipulative, uncaring towards women, misogynistic, tries to take advantage of women, corrupt to a point. Greedy.
Physical traits or disabilities:

he had trouble breathing and often coughed

Bio: He from a young age was a notable englishman but when he became the minister of justice he became corrupt with power. He was corrupted and warped by his power over people. He was once kind but his first marriage cured him of that, when she ran off with the gardener at the time after he found her in bed with his father. He used his connections and Had her executed and married a younger wife through manipulation, and finishing destroying her family.

Reasons for a grudge: [spoiler= not serious] He is actually himself from the future and was destined to be murdered by himself in the past. None obviously,


Name: Lady Katherine Hawthorne
Age: 35
Appearance: shorter has long curly blond hair. Very beautiful wears make up to cover the results of her marriage.
Personality: was beautiful once now less so after 8 years of marriage to Lord Hawthorne. She can be very coquettish when drunk. Flirtatious and bitter, caring towards her children and their friends.
Physical traits or disabilities:

She drinks thus resulting in slurring of her speech and lethargy in her actions

Bio: Her Grandfather Lord Blackwell was forced to sell the family lands to Lord Hawthornes parents under the condition that their son would marry his granddaughter. She is ten years younger than her husband.

Reasons for a grudge:

Dislikes Lord Hawthorne for what he did to her family and her.

Name: Nathaniel Hawthorne
Age: 26
Appearance: Tall and handsome with chesnut colored hair
Personality: Very courteous, polite, wealthy, and handsome, very charismatic, no woman can refuse him usually.
Physical traits or disabilities:

he often has slight spasms in his right arm and hand.

Bio: Nathaniel Hawthorne was born in 1869. He grew up in Blackwell Mansion, with a staff to meet his every whim. His whole life, he was trained to take his father's place in the government eventually, maybe even become prime minister. In his free time, he sailed and played polo and rugby. In Late 1894, he officially started courting his fiancee, and recently the party date was set to make the Engagement public to those not in the Hawthorne’s inner circle. Currently, he is a staffer for a member of parliament in London.

Reasons for a grudge:

he dislikes his Father for keeping with the arrangement with Josephine's Parents even though they are dead.

Name: Miss Josephine Ainsworth

Personality: timid, but has a temper if someone talks bad about her family or the Hawthorne’s. She is smart and usually has her head in a book, which is looked down upon by some.

she has a slight limp from the accident that killed her parents, along with some scarring on her upper left thigh area.

Bio: Her family and the Hawthorne’s were old friends, her and Nathaniels marriage was arranged since she was 5. When she was ten she was with her parents when there carriage was destroyed in an accident. She has been living with the Hawthornes ever since
Reasons for a grudge:

Believes that Lord Hawthorn may have arranged the accident that killed her parents, As her parents were going to back out of the engagement deal.

Personality: Is very smart, easily angered.

Has constant coughing fits.

Bio: Born in 1867 to a wealthy family, he weight 7 pounds and 1 foot.

At age 4, a terrible thing happened, he was playing catch with his father when the ball hit him in the face, knocking him out a 4th floor window and falling 20 feet into a balcony, killing him.

At age 10, he got his own maid and cook. At age 13, he was considered the smartest person in his secondary school.

At age 20, he enrolled into Oxford University and became a mathematician and taught a member of the Hawthorne family. He was respected among the Hawthornes and was a constant guest at the mansion.

Personality: Witty, charming, calm, wry, and a bit dark and cynical.
Physical traits or disabilities:

Walks with a limp and cane, due to a shelling. High functioning alcoholic and opium addict due to the related pain and depression.

Position: Guest/Nephew of the Lord's wife
Reasons for a grudge:

His whole life, he has disliked his aunt and uncle. He also needs money for his addictions and misadventures with whores both in England and the Continent, and is in the last will and testament.

Bio: Wesley was born in 1870, to the Taft family in Birmingham. The Taft family is very active in the government, especially Parliament, with his father, Sir Taft, being a member, and his father before him. He lived a posh, secluded lifestyle, being taught by tutors, and travelling Europe. When he was 17, he joined the British Army, becoming a Lieutenant upon his enlistment, due to his familial background. He was then deployed to Sudan in 1888, during the Mahdist war. He went on the Equatoria expedition through central Africa, without incident. He spent the year stationed in Egypt, until being moved to South Africa in 1892. In 1893, with the outbreak of the First Matebele War, he was sent with the British South Africa Company into combat, during which time, the Assault on the Shanganai River took place, where he was shot in the knee, shattering the bone. Sent home, he was unable to ever walk correctly again. Now he uses a silver topped cane, and limps. Soon after his return, his parents were killed in a house fire, while vacationing in Paris.
