Stage and Contest Details
The audience was most definitely ready. A digital clock had been counting down for 15 minutes, and now was onto the final 10 seconds. The crowd could be heard counting down. "...5...4...3...2...1" and then they cheered.
The opening ident of Radiu-Televisiune Kalosia, the host broadcaster, started playing. The broadcast of the 19th World Hit Festival to over 20 nations had officially begun.
The orchestra started playing, the strings section held a note and later it could be determined that the song they were playing was Every Sin by Nada Markusic, the Izmeduan entry to the previous World Hit Festival, which came joint 2nd (4th after the tiebreaker). After the first chorus, the piano played some notes which was an indication that the orchestra was moving on to the next song: Remain With Me by Pranashei Krüger, which also came joint 2nd for Tödlichebujoku (3rd after the tiebreaker) at WHF18. Again, the orchestra played the song until the end of the first chorus, and then some familiar strumming could be heard. The crowd cheered noticeably louder than they did for the previous 2 songs. It was Saño by Kalosii, Kalosia's most recent entry that again gained joint 2nd and was considered the runner up after the tiebreak. This was the reason why WHF19 is in Kasin.
And finally, the pianist played the opening notes to You Belong With Me by Malina Ráná from Chámelíyá, the most recent winning song, prompting a response from the crowd louder than any of the previous reactions. The orchestra played the song in full.
The crowd cheered once again after the orchestra finished playing the song, and not long after, an announcer's voice could be heard.
Everyone, please welcome the 19 participants of the 19th World Hit Festival:
The name of each country was mentioned 3 times in 3 different voices each speaking in a different language - English, Kalosian, and a national language of the country. The third voice was different for each nation, which lead to speculation that it was the voices of the artists representing each country themselves, which was true. While this was happening, the nation's entrant entered from the left of the stage and made their way to the exit on the right of the stage, of course waving to the audience in the process (some entrants stopped for a moment on the stage).
