It is all either useless regulation, commonsense things that are already going to be followed, and/or unconstitutional interference with the Supreme Court's right to determine it's own proceedings.
I move to dismiss this bill.

Reference Information Act (2015)
An Act to establish requirements for factbooks prior to roleplay.
Factbook Requirements
(1) Before taking part in roleplay involving any nation other than itself, each nation must have one official factbook each for the categories of Military and Economy.
(2) Before taking part in any roleplay scenario that involves the use of military or economic information, each participant must have their official factbooks approved by the Secretary of Interior.
(3) After the military and economy factbooks have been checked, edited, and properly revised to fit all modern technology and regional standards by the Secretary of Interior, the factbooks shall include the prefix "(OFFICIAL)" in the title.
(4) Any nation that is using information from factbooks that have not been approved by the Secretary of Interior in international roleplay, shall be restricted from participation in roleplay until their factbooks are sorted out. No nation, however, can be restricted from private roleplay, such as newsposts, and the creation of factbooks.
Modern Technology Requirements
(1) No nation shall include any technology, statistic, or piece of information in their official factbooks that can be deemed unrealistic by modern technology roleplay standards.
a) Modern technology roleplay standards shall be defined as any technology or piece of information that follows real world trends and abides by the laws of physics.

Senator, during First Reading we are supposed to comment on the bill's formatting, grammar, and structure.
Although these are good points to bring up in Second Reading.
As such, I move to proceed to Second Reading.

Tuernia wrote:Ok, so here's my suggestion. It takes out the "official" thing and turns the SoI approval into an ex post facto thing. That way you can begin RPing without having to wait on the SoI, but if you don't have factbooks, or they're very poor, he can stop you and require you to fix them up.
Overall I approve of this bill. People should have to make a minimum of effort in order to participate in the RP world we've worked so hard to build. It also provides a good first step to help new players adjust to the game and the region, and will but the brakes on a lot of godmodding.Reference Information Act (2015)

I had assumed that "real world trends" was made deliberately vague for this purpose. As opposed to "existing in the real world."
