EC Meu Amor, entering the Heritage for the second time, was mighty unlucky, and the group became a three horse race between two traditional teams and newcomers Kozhevnikovo, with Kobersandhausen getting their better on a head-to-head last match.

Connery Sport surges as a surprise contestant, besting the likes of Stilwater City and Quincas Berro D'Água to take a slot alongside América Tottori. The Sunrisians return home early with a disappointing campaign.

The big winner in this group was Bluestone Blur. The Mobians managed to do what the Eggmanians didn't, and beat Koberhausen 13 in their last match to keep a slot in the Round of 16. Real Jabuti had a clear early advantage and kept it.

Another group decided early. Corinthians and Mexicalito were never menaced by their opponents, and booked their places at the expense of SAJ underdogs Kitchellen and the Protomen.

A group with two Carioca teams, and both ended up in the round of 16. Filipéia looked like they might save Sunrise's honor, but this time they are the top ranked country to not have a single team past group stage.

Postby Albaie » Sun Jul 05, 2015 2:57 pm

The Albaie domestic season has once again finished today before the national team again begins World Cup Qualification. There were very few major transfers due to Albaie's political structure where many players are still bound by oaths to their local nobility who also own the football clubs meaning very few players will ever move teams in Albaie except for the best who are normally snatched up by the big three: Dubrack's Town Celtic; Albaie Rangers or Ruten Bridge Castle. One transfer was that of Darren Woerten who has moved up into the Imperial Bank Premier League from Indis Lions for a 5,000,000 Eire fee paid by Mountain Pass United for the well regarded 21 year old defender, Dan Pepen was another transfer as the 31 year old central midfielder signed a bosman deal to sign for AFC Whitecastle from Maras Wolfs last winter and at the beginning of the season began playing at his new club. There was though one major managerial change as Albaie Rangers sacked their long standing manager Walter Schmidt after a dreadful last couple of years. Schmidt was replaced by Sir Terry Yupt, the old assistant manager and also a coach at national level where he has received plaudits for his no nonsense approach to coaching.

The season started with the traditional Dubrack's Shield at Saint Ruk's Stadium where the Emperor officially opened the domestic season and the Cardinal himself held a service on the pitch for the health of Earl Vincent Deberen who remains in the coma he suffered even before the Great Imperial War. Dubrack's Town Celtic made their now almost certain appearance at the minor tournament as they look to win yet another victory in the earliest of all Albaie competitions. Advar United made their first appearance in a final in any of the Imperial Cups and hoped to win their first piece of silverware outside of the Advar leagues.

Dubrack's Town Celtic 6 - Advar United 1

In an absolutely thrilling game which really showed just how good the trio of attackers playing for both DTC and the national team really are as they tore apart the Advar team piecemeal after an early shocker of a goal. Advar's early goal through a lack of concentration in Dubrack Ferek where the ball was hit from outside the box but he was too slow in his reaction and in fact only aided the ball into the net when he did reach it. Vincent Deberen the talisman and wonder boy not just of DTC but also Albaie as a whole famed not just for his football but his glorious military career then went on a remarkable dribble taking on much of the opposition team before beating the goalkeeper to equalise. It was then that Robert Tererent stepped in to play. The 20 year old who saw his career stagnate over the introduction of not just Elecki Queb but also Vincent Deberen to his position has since he moved back to Offensive Central Midfielder seen a remarkable run of form and today was exactly the same as he scored a hat trick in under ten minutes one from outside the box with a curling long range effort, another a left footed tap in from a deflected Dubrack Dubrackson shot that Tererent had set up and the third an impressive header where he beat the Advar goalkeeper to get his head on a Ben Werek cross. The game went into half time at 4-1 and the introduction of Elecki Queb in place of Deberen only added to DTC's day out in the sun. Queb not only an Advar himself but also their old captain when he was just 16 in his credit didn't celebrate the two goals he scored both just in the side of the box and impressive curling balls. The game finished 6-1 and many saw it as a sign that Dubrack's Town Celtic would go on to dominate Albaie football for yet another year.

20 Ruten City 38 5 9 24 52 94 -42 24

For yet another season Dubrack's Town Celtic dominated Albaie league football and while not as impressive as last year's stunning performance they were still the best team in the league by a mile. At the bottom of the table Ruten City, Portville and Asten Town went down after each one had a poor season and Ruten Rangers only managed to survive by a point even with their atrocious goal difference of negative 54. Ruten City had always been favourites to go down after last season's dismal performance and the 24 points they managed to notch showed that pre season estimation clearly. Portville's season had looked dismal right from the start when Vincent Deberen, Elecki Queb and Robert Tererent all scored hat trick's against them on the season's opening day when the champions beat the team in it's first Premier Division 10-1 at Saint Ruk's Stadium. Asten Town compared with the other two teams dropping down a division for spells of the season looked like they could survive but even a final day victory over Cape Uren wasn't enough to save the team from the drop. At the top of the table Dubrack's Town Celtic again achieved victory finishing 8 points above their fierce rivals Albaie Rangers and 14 points above Ruten Bridge Castle with the three teams yet again making up the top three of the league as they do most years.

Dubrack's Sword - Vincent Deberen The Younger won the goalscorer award again this year with 37 goals, a new record in the Imperial Football League era but still beaten by his father during the Albaie Football League who scored 40 in the last season before the Albaie Football Division.Robert Tererent and Elecki Queb were hot on Deberen's heels with 32 and 27 goals respectively taking the Silver and the Bronze sword as a consolation, both with a total that in all but a few seasons would have won themselves the Dubrack's Sword

Dubrack's Glove - Dubrack Ferek remarkably won the goalkeeping award again this year conceding 45 goals in 38 appearances as well as a series of stunning saves across the season to take the Glove back to Saint Ruk's Stadium for the second year in a row. Dale Quinnan came second in the Dubrack's Glove with 59 goals conceded in 38 appearances only just beating Albaie's man between the posts Edward Erentsen who conceded 60 goals in his 38 appearances but some of his saves against players such as Elecki Queb and Vincent Deberen quickly became viral due to their almost miraculous apperance.

AFA Imperium Player of the Year - Vincent Deberen The Younger again wins the Player of the Year with 37 goals and 8 assists in 35 appearances with 6 being after he came on as a substitute. Robert Tererent came second in the AFA Imperium Player of the Year with 32 goals and 11 assists in 32 appearances with 3 of them being after he came on as a substitute but was unable to beat his team mate to the coveted trophy. William Dubrack Dubrackson came in third in the AFA Imperium Player of the Year with 10 goals and 8 assists in 38 appearances 3 of them being after he came on as a substitute but despite his relatively low goal totals, his influence and hard hitting tackles not only impressed the AFA heads but also the Imperium's public.

AFA Imperium Youth Player of the Year - Benjamin Werek with 10 goals and 20 assists in a season where the out wide wonder shone with exquisite dribbles and intricate skill. Karl Greybank came second in the AFA Imperium Youth Player of the Year with 7 goals and 12 assists after a stunning debut season for Albaie Rangers which ended with his call up to the international squad for the World Cup Qualifiers. Darren Woerten of Indis Lions took home the third place AFA Imperium Youth Player of the Year award after a solid season where he scored 4 goals and set up 4 but was more impressive in his defensive play were he was widely hailed as one of Albaie's most promising future defensive prospects.

AFA Manager of the Year - Mark Deberen again wins the Manager of the Year after a second season in charge at Dubrack's Town Celtic and his third of his career after he led his team to yet another league victory in the process only losing 5 games. Terry Yupt came second in the AFA Manager of the Year after an impressive debut season where he led his team to a second place finish. Steven Frost of Navy FC rounds up the trio of AFA Manager of the Year after an impressive season where he guided his team to a sixth place finish after their recent troubles both financially and on the playing pitches.

In a thrilling season in the Abia Power Championship were there was huge amounts of drama and a record breaking attendance average not only at the stadiums but also people watching at home on the TV. Harlington Town won the Championship with an impressive season that saw them only lose 7 times and claim 71 points. Maras Wolfs will return to the Imperial Bank Premier League after an absence of two seasons as they managed to clinch the automatic promotion spot while Indis Lions managed to not only finish third but ultimately came first in the playoffs and secured their own promotion back to the biggest stage in Imperial Football.

The Albaie Cup followed quickly on at the end of the Imperial Football League Season with Dubrack's Town Celtic again returning to their home stadium for the premier cup competition in Albaie football. Yet again Dubrack's Town Celtic managed to reach the final of a cup competition which is seen as almost their's by right these days alongside every other domestic tournament in Albaie. Mountain Pass United managed to cap off their rather successful season that saw them finish fourth with an appearance in the cup final at Saint Ruk's Stadium after an impressive run in the Albaie Cup where they not only beat Albaie Rangers but also Ruten Bridge Castle in two thrilling encounters.

Dubrack's Town Celtic 4 - Mountain Pass United 3

In one of the most thrilling finals seen in the Albaie Cup in years Mountain Pass United held off the champions almost until the last kick of the ball after a spectacular first half performance which saw Darren Woerten score two impressive headers for the under dogs to lead the favourites 2-0 into the half time break but shortly after the break and after positional changes the trio now known as Dubrack's Sword cut through the Mountain Pass United defense with both Deberen and Queb scoring a goal with Tererent assisting both goals. Despite this resurgence a foul by Dubrack Dubrackson in his own box allowed Mountain Pass United to again take the lead at 3-2 through a penalty that Ferek couldn't keep out. Tererent then managed to get one himself with a free kick effort from 20 yards which curved over both the wall and the goalkeeper.

The game looked to be going to penalties when Dubrack Dubrackson redeemed himself with a thundering right foot shot from outside the box that almost broke the net. The game then settled into a tense ending period as both team went on the offensive as neither wanted to take the chance with the lottery that is the penalty shoot out. The tension was finally ended when in the 94th minute a Dubrack's Town Celtic corner was swung out to the edge of the box where Tererent volleyed it home straight into the top of the goal not only breaking the deadlock but also winning his team yet another tournament. For a second year in a row Mark Deberen had now won the treble and his era in charge looked set to only get better with his team's domination of not only the league but the nation as a whole.

The Emperor's Shield brought to a close an exciting youthful league filled with optimism and hope for the future but also marked with remembrance for the fallen and those who could no longer play. Dubrack's Town Celtic once again reached the final and hoped for another quadruple while their opponents Ruten Bridge Castle hoped to break the hegemony that Dubrack's Town Celtic had over the nation's football.

Dubrack's Town Celtic 6 - Ruten Bridge Castle 1

In one of the most one sided cup final competitions of recent years Dubrack's Town Celtic managed to achieve a quadruple for the second time in Mark Deberen's short two year reign. Dubrack Dubrackson scored a rare hat trick in the first half with the first coming from a towering header in the fifth minute and then in the 15th Dubrack Dubrackson scored a thundering volley from the edge of the six yard box that easily beat his national teammate Erentsen and then on the break of half time Dubrack Dubrackson scored a tap in from a blocked Ben Werek shot which meant that the champions went into the break 3-0 up in their third cup final of the season. Ruten Bridge Castle got a faint glimmer of hope after the break in the shape of Glenn Wesley-Lambert when he scored a curling long range effort to give his team a faint hope of a comeback but almost within a minute Ben and Robert Werek two of the Werek triplets played an amazing pass and move and Ben almost passed the ball past Erentsen and within five minutes the two again linked up with Robert scoring this time. Vincent Deberen then scored his only goal of the game when he burst through the Ruten Bridge Castle defense in a moment of genius to slot the ball calmly past Erentsen and win the game 6-1 for the holder.

Some stadiums, it's been said, are cursed. Oh, I'm not talking about hexes deliberately placed by bitter fans, or even legacies of bygone players. The 1./ probably isn't old enough to have those kinds of players, and the previous generation had other stuff on their mind.

But just like a house can be haunted, so can a much grander edifice, in much quieter ways. Showers that are always too hot, or too cold, or with the feeling that unseen eyes are watching you. Seats that collapse--not killing their occupants, but spilling someone's brunch or crashing you out of view just before the big play. Turnstiles that never quite click, embarrased customers being rerouted somewhere else. Toilets that backfire. Broken sidewalks in the two blocks between the stadium and the train station.

And this, after all the more drastic cataclysms subsided, this was the fate of Keppal Cosmos and their Ayathen Arena. Not burdened with a dead-last team, not contending for the top half either--just uneasily occupied by squirming fans ready to get out of their as soon as possible.

But before we can get to them, we have to get to their neighbors and the match that would decide early dominance of the league. Canbix Muses versus Namiri Independent, billed as a battle of the goalkeepers, and for the first forty minutes, almost that. Granted, neither netminder Hajna Lantos nor Nirav Gadhavi looked particularly weak, but neither could really be tested given Canbix' conservative play. It was more a miscue by defender Susan Hemring than anything else that let Abida Agrawal convert the first goal for the Rebels, late in the half.

But after a reckless challenge from Yiannis Porelks early in the second half, the visitors really did get quiet. Shahid Hawala took advantage of the free kick, and Canbix could make no reply (beyond the lyrical subjunctive). The next week, they'd lose 2-0 to the Rovers (in Kerlagrad), falling to fifth place, where they'd stay more or less the rest of the way.

Namiri Independent, meanwhile, held on. Kind of. They pounded 102d the next week to stay top, but then lost a one-goal match in undesirable circumstances. The only goalscorer was Sanjeev Sibal. As you may have guessed, Sibal is currently the lone striker for none other than Namiri Forest. Who aren't even that good--their one decent player, Lilavati Kanwar, up and left for the none-too-threatening league Stvoto Latoli. And considering their dearth of offense, nobody would be too surprised if they wound up mixing things up with fellow old-timers Spenson and Arlington at the bottom of the table. Yet playing at home, their stalwart defense was just enough to shut Hawala up and give them the edge over their local rivals.

(Home is Guariday, of course, whose troubles have been of a much less fantastical nature than the "dragons" and "unicorns" plaguing Sharag. There are still trees, though like Bassabook, the emphasis is not on the rainforest it once was but rather new crops--apples, or pears, anyone? Trick question, many residents seem to have taken to a life of crime and stealing from their neighbors, which in a more capitalistic society could actually be a drag. Since it's Zwangzug, meh.)

So, not the stuff of champions from the rebels, there. Nor was their draw the following week (in Inver, to the Rovers)...or losing at the Bug House. Yet despite this, nobody could actually surpass them for a few weeks, only creep up from behind with goal difference the tiebreaker.

And it would be none other than Keppal Cosmos who ignored the traps of Ayathen to start the second half with a win streak. They defeated Eintracht Trink, Ephesian, and Arlington, and then came matchday nineteen.

Unheralded Trebuchet Cham actually had something to play for; on the fringes of the Globe Cup places, behind stagnant Canbix, they would valiantly register a goal of their own through Hubert Konn-Borums. Keppal dispatched them, however, through Melanie Simbrouska and the indefatigable Taylor Sariger-Heshik. And yes, by then they'd finally drawn--a scoreless grinder with the Rebels and a 1-1 match against the Rovers to close out the first half.

This win would mean little if Namiri Indepndent held pace, though. There was only one slight hurdle in the Rebels' way to stay top. That being the Ephesian FC strike force.

And did they unload. Two goals each for Daniel Heath-Carter and Jaime Sur-Tifesh. Another from CJ Taupi. Despite Hawala's alleged "consolation" after the hour mark, Namiri Independent were all too shattered.

Except for the slightly awkward fact that they weren't, and summarily dispatched of Arlington City the next week, by a single goal. And by the same margin, FTC United was beating Keppal. The curse of Ayathen struck again, because as soon as Pallop Hwaidi scored, he stupidly took off his shirt, then earned a yellow card. That wasn't even the worst problem, because countless Oxen fans began trying to decrypt his undershirt just in case he was relaying a secret message to alleged werewolf bosses on the east side. Play was delayed for several minutes while this was sorted out, and he played on, but suitably chastened.

With one-third of the season remaining, this pulled Keppal and Namiri Independent into a statistical tie; fourteen points each, eleven goals of difference in each of their favors, and no score to separate them in their first meeting. Momentum was a nonentity, and it was anyone's game to the finish.

Keppal won in Bassabook the next week, against a BOB side still trying to finish above (or at least drown out) Canbix for the Globe Cup seedings. Not to be outdone, Namiri defeated Trebuchet Cham...but only by one goal. (The Rovers strike force had the game of the week, annihilating an Arlington side that must surely be wishing they can get Enitan Maclaurin back from wherever he wandered off to.) It wasn't until Matchday 22 that Keppal could really pull away, defeating an Excelsior Slogda side that had finally been displaced from the top slot--which most fans seemed pretty pleased with--while a scrambling Oxen side held Namiri Independent to a messy draw. Without Martina Ruan, their next best choice of leadership is the somewhat less-charismatic Denise Palss, who combines quiet defense with loud boasts of being able to see into other people's souls. Referees tend not to like her very much. Opponents are mostly resigned to it, or at least, to their cities' bigger problems these days. Anyway, she was not very good at defending anything that day, but neither were the rebels.

Another draw in Spenson left Namiri Independent as the saying now goes, with broken hearts and sublunar frustration (if anything, Spenson had the worse follow-up the next week, contriving to blow an immense lead in Logrove to the Rovers in one of the comebacks of the season). And yet it was still too close to call--in their antepenultimate game, Keppal were unable to score against Sporting Esper. A goal from Agrawal should have let the Rebels move towards closing the gap...but a late equalizer from, inevitably, Sibal and Namiri Forest left Keppal's lead at a critical two points, with a matchday twenty-nine showdown looming.

After everything both teams had been through, it was a worthy match to crown a champion, if a little more high-scoring than Keppal fans might have expected. Despite horrendous rains the night before, Ayathen was deemed playable, and while defenders might have been slipping more than usual, it was overcautiousness rather than impassibility that hurt both sides. Keppal struck first, through Simbrouska, but Namiri Independent pulled right back into it, with Hawala and Agrawal both scoring before the first half was out. Both teams hung even on 21.5 points, but Keppal's goal difference might still have made the difference after halftime.

It didn't. A long pass from the midfield, and none other than Sariger-Heshik came through with the equalizing goal. Ayathen went nuts, figuratively and literally (several peanut vendors are probably not going to return after that). And it would be an unheralded defensive midfielder, Katie Desmeagues, who added a third goal that clinched the win, and the season, for Keppal.

Little changed the following week; the champions' season ended in Shorn, with a draw to the Rovers. Canbix held on (against Arlington) to shut Bassabook up from the Globe Cup places, and Twineur did their part by holding BOB to a draw. Ephesian demolished 102d, and Namiri Independent rolled over to an uninspiring Sporting Esper.

So is the curse over, or was Ayathen Arena never marked to begin with? Or, more likely, is it like the Zebras' radio announcers once were--haunted by the past, but in some way independent of the team's actual performance? Who knows? Who cares, really? There will be CC sides visiting to try their luck against whatever fate throws at them, and for Keppal--heck, for anyone looking to an alternative to Slogda--that's all you can ask for.

GWFA Season 8

Super League
Bovingdon FC spent much of this season at the top, but their form faltered in the last quarter of the league. They were overtaken by Hemel Hempstead FC, who are champions for the first time in 6 years. Rivals Leverstock Green Rovers FC and Leavesden Rovers FC took the remaining Globe Cup spots. South Mimms FC pulled off a fairytale story by staying up, it was Welwyn Garden City FC, Nascot Wood United FC and Rickmansworth Rovers FC who faced the drop.

Challenge League
Sporting Tudor and Cassio Club, managed by the first female manager in the GWFA, Hollie Bryson, were immediately promoted back to the Super League, after relegation in Season 7. In the playoffs, rivals Croxley and Oxhey met in the semi finals in 2 exciting games. Croxley won, and in the final beat Vicarage FC, the latter still missing out on a return to the Super League. At the other end, Harlequin Islanders faced a second consecutive relegation, and were joined by Cassiobury, Hatfield and Harpenden.

Western/ Eastern League
In the newly formed Western and Eastern League, Maltings FC secured their first ever promotion to the Challenge League with a Western League title. In the Eastern League, Nash Mills FC made sure of an immediate return to the Challenge League. The playoffs saw Verulam Legion return to the second tier, and Frogmore Rovers FC made sure all 3 of the Yellow Derby teams would contest the Challenge League next year. At the other end, there were a total of 6 relegations, 3 in each league, notably Elstree United FC, and former Level 5 teams Napsbury FC and Magic Roundabout FC.

League X +1

Due to an xkoronate problem, I had to redo this season. Results (including an IC explanation for the resim) can be found here

Barunia(BAU) qualifiers
Champions’ Cup: West Bay Mariners
Globe Cup: Port Newland Destroyers, Babbage Town, Western Orcas
Series B Champions’ Cup: Dropshort Diamonds, Coral Cougars, Marion Coast Miners, North Islands Nightjars

This season, the Mariners repeat their triumph with back-to-back X-League premierships, narrowly edging out the Destroyers, who had a fantastic season. In the NFL, the Diamonds lived up to their name by being impenetrable, giving up just 16 goals as they finished with the most points and best goal differential of any team across both leagues. They'll be an interesting addition to the X-League, which will be without one of its great rivalries after West Bay's old enemy Monte Sol were relegated. But another rivalry is likely to be formed between the two teams from Marion, after both the Hawks and the Miners made it through the play-offs. In the case of the Hawks, they survived relegation despite finishing lower than the Saints, who were the unlucky team when the clashed at Memorial Stadium.

The reward for most average team this season is a 3-way tie between Southern Bluebirds, Appleburgh Tigers and San Baptiste Sea Lions. The Bluebirds and Sea Lions both had an even split of games won and lost, and while the Bluebirds were less exciting in and only scored 26, letting in just two more, the Sea Lions managed 45 and let in exactly the same amount (The Tildos Ravens get an honourable mention for also ending up with a GD of 0, despite scoring 65 goals). The Tigers get the prize for managing to complete their 30 games with 10 wins, 10 draws, and 10 losses.

Stvoto Latoli (SVL) qualifiers

Champions’ Cup 60: Brewers, Vezhidrupa
Globe Cup 57: Lobyuseistvooshu, Pkethat Hevnaje, Stvozhaboythumow
Series B Champions’ Cup 57: Angels, Trá Te, Eihi'thatho
Cygnus Cup Winners' Cup 35: Lobyuseistvooshu
Rushmore Copa de Campeones 33: Brewers

Stvoto Latoli (SVL) final site bid

Series B Champions’ Cup 57/Youth Cup 12: Trogu How, Tobyumosyu, Stvoto Latoli (capacity 76,000)

By most accounts a tragic accident waiting to happen, Trogu How (which is Stvoto Latolisi for "Irish Lane") is a rickety superstructure in the heart of Tobyumosyu's dangerous but historic Thutrezhertrida District, home to a large Muzira'a Ba'aydi Irish immigrant population. Officially owned by the Thutrezhertrida Cultural Council and located upon the grounds of the Council-associated Irish Social Unity Center, the stadium is an infamous death trap. Constructed out of assorted timber, loose brush, tremendous sheets of fabric, and patched up with wattle and daub, Trogu How's massive Curva Sud (Italian is spoken nowhere in Stvoto Latoli, but the term has been appropriated here) stretches along the south side of the park's remarkably small pitch and seats the vast majority of the venue's capacity while the main administrative building on the ISUC campus (on the roof of which there is a steep stand where two thousand spectators can be held) lines the north side of the field. The grass of the pitch is Trogu How's major selling point - well-watered and fast, and kept in famously perfect condition, tenant club Gerthamasa Boyseh have punched far above their weight in the Stvoto Latolisi top division almost exclusively because they are able to use the stadium as a fortress, playing lightning-fast counterattacking football up and down the small pitch and felling numerous better clubs as rowdy fans watch on.

But he was wrong. It was he who was the traitor, he the dictator, he the true tyrant. I returned to above the waves and presented the location of the merpeople's treasure to the dictator of Stvoto Latoli, who greedily took the coordinates without thanking me. As I leapt atop my broom, I could already hear the wailing of the merpeople from the depths; their last shred of dignity, the last remnant of their kingdom, their last symbol of hope; raped by the tyrannical humans.

EDITION XVI

Procedural Notes:

  • The sixteenth edition of the Campionato Esportivano di Campeones welcomes fourty-six teams from twenty-threedifferent federations, having a rising of two associations more than the last edition.
  • Considering the number of participants, a Preliminary Stage featuring all the second "seeded" teams of each association except for the associations of Peninsula Praedonesque and Soltsteed that will have both of their entries participating at that stage in their virtue of "first timers" and also The Sword Bloke, The Sarian and Star United States as the Federazione Esportiva di Calcio decided, the fourteen winners will advance to the First Round featuring the first "seeded" teams of the rest of associations in randomized fixtures.
  • After that the winners of each series will face themselves in straight elimination, in all the tournament, the series will be double legged with reciprocal visit.

Final Site Selection:

The Federazione Esportiva di Gioco Calcio had the extremely bright idea to keep the Venue Papers in a restaurant located outside of the little village of Coatepeque, just one hour away from San Salvador, because they are friends with the restaurant manager, during the night, the restaurant suffered a fire and the papers of the Farnham Arena (Nephara) and Slavery Field (Gregoryisgodistan) turned into ashes. In the morning, the firefighters were doing an investigation about the origin of the fire and found the papers of one Venue, those were sent to the FEGC Building in San Salvador and they saw how the Estadio Olímpico (TRB) papers survived, hence, they decided that the Estadio Olímpico in Sangti, The Royal Barangay will host the Final of the XVI CEdC. And setting as a default venue (in case of lack of bids or a paper disaster) the Estadio Cuscatlán, San Salvador, San José Guayabal.

Cygnus Cup: Ramusok United
AOCL: Ramusok United

Cosumar (COS) final site bids
Globe Cup 57: Leviathan Arena, Kaldukosic (capacity 99,114)
One of the most iconic venues in Cosumarite soccer, Leviathan Arena has served as the home of the National Team since World Cup 57 and is also the home of Harlighet Ligan club FC Kaldukosic. It has hosted countless huge domestic and international matches in its 30-year history, from the Cosumar Cup Final to the AOCL XVIII Final. It has the steepest (and highest) stands of any stadium in Cosumar, and has subsequently become infamous for its colossal, if somewhat suffocating, atmosphere. Kaldukosic is the most populous city in Cosumar and is one of the most important hubs in Atlantian Oceania, situated on the east coast of mainland Cosumar and home to booming industries in the technologies and sciences. Leviathan Arena is situated on the southern edge of the city limits, just a ten minute drive from Kastria International Airport and a fifteen minute drive from the coast. However, with Cosumar's stellar public transport systems (including the world-famous TransCosumar Hyperloop), you could fly into any Cosumarite city and arrive at the stadium within a couple hours. Also of note is Leviathan Arena's Museum of Cosumarite Sport, one of the largest in-stadium museums in the world.

Valanora's (VAL) Final Site Bids
Champions Cup 60: Artani (74,000), Mar Sara - Located in the heart of Mar Sara, this modern stadium was built just over three decades ago with the best technology that the world has to offer. It is owned and operated by Mar Sara FC of the Elven Premier League and is routinely used by the VFA for domestic cup Final sites when a Mar Sara side is not in the Final. Artani offers all the best money can buy when it comes to a quality stadium and hopes to welcome all to the bread basket capital of Valanora.

Cygnus Cup 35: The Battleground (78,000), Raynor City - In the middle of the sprawling capital of Valanora, The Battleground is one of the oldest stadiums in the country. It underwent a major renovation nearly sixty years ago to become the premier and largest stadium in all of Valanora. Rail from all over the capital have stops outside the stadium making it easily accessible to all citizens and visitors to Valanora's capital. It has hosted several domestic and international Finals and is used to the commotion that large scale matches create and can accommodate all with proper security and seating. While not as new as Artani, the renovations made to the stadium have made it the premier stadium of Valanora.

Season 1972

Two seasons without the league title and a season without any silverware was apparently enough to put the fire under CAP's boots as they raced out to an early lead in the SuperLiga race and held on late as Tani came charging towards the end. However Tani's draw at Stein-los Turkish on the penultimate matchday meant that their victory over CAP on the last matchday meant nothing, with the powerhouse having already claimed the title. It was a valiant effort by Tani in the last ten matches of the season to try and erase CAP's early leap to the lead but it was a case of too little too late, with that one draw being the difference between the two in the final table. However winning the SuperLiga was not enough for CAP, as they pressed on through each round of the Copa until they made the Final, where Fetherdron United awaited them after a few fluke extra time results went their way. It was a demolition, as CAP's superior talent simply wiped the floor with the capital club as CAP celebrated its first domestic double in some time.

The acquisition of some veteran Apox players payed dividends for Hellinic Rouge who found themselves upjumped from midtable and back into the thick of it, settling for fourth and a chance in the Globe Cup. Turkish will be thanking CAP just as much as CAP was thanking Turkish, as the Paulinthal clubs victory in the Copa let them slide into the final Globe Cup spot behind Hellinic and the mighty Galatica. This is back to back seasons that the clubs from Stein-los have gotten into the UICA, aside from the powerhouse of Tani, and it is nice to see these historic clubs finding their footing once more. Perhaps in time we might actually see the SuperLiga become a far more open race if those two clubs can find the sort of success that they had in their history, today. Fans across the whole of the dual islands will like to see that, for although some do enjoy the CAP dynasty over the SuperLiga, many more would prefer a true race for the title rather than just two or three clubs fighting for it.

After many years of football being played on a local and regional basis in Muriburiland and after many months of discussion at the Fótbóltssamband Muriburiland Headquarters in Tórshavn, today we are happy to announce the commencing of the new Muriburiland football league. The league system will consist of three leagues of 10 teams each, where each team plays each other 4 times, twice at home and twice away. The winner of the 1. Divisjon/2. Divisjon will gain promotion to the Eliteserien/1. Divisjon. The ninth placed team and the second, third and fourth placed teams will enter into a promotion-relegation playoff. The bottom two teams in the 2. Divisjon will be relegated to the Regional Leagues being replaced by two more teams. We hope that in the future the league can be expanded to consist of more teams as and when the quality and money demands it. We are also happy to announce a new national cup. The first edition of the Bikarkeppni karla Í knattspyrnu will be made up of the 30 league clubs and 2 regional qualifiers. Again we hope that in the future it will be expanded.

The results of the first season of professional Muriburi football.

Gu Zhahogowdoo 4014 Season Preview

We here at the Tazi’shu Stvoto Latolisi Balomobi are thrilled to announce the imminent beginning of the 4014 year of play in Stvoto Latolisi football! Die-hard Bankers supporters have decked out the jet-black towers of Tobyumosyu's Sheizheidoo financial district in canary yellow flags, the thick pine forests outside the city of Fahan are excitedly vibrating in tune with the din of Sunbirds fans singing "O'Blighe, O'Blighe, He's Our Guy," and you won't find any stalls in the national capital's market districts are aren't set up in Goytow purple or Lobyu red. Let's not waste a second more and get right to our preseason analysis!

We'll start at the bottom, shall we? That way we're saving the best for last.

Trá Te appear to be Gu Zhahogowdoo's weak link at first glance. The Rancors led an incredibly weak TSLB League 1 Muzira'a Ba'aydi group for effectively the entirety of 4013 and barely scraped through the Promotion Playoff with the benefit of home advantage. One would expect them to be under significantly more duress in the top flight. But manager Xavier Young is a dreamer, and Sallins' first club to ever reach the top flight has inspired local fans to buy jerseys in the thousands. Then there's Angels, who didn't have to worry about the Promotion Playoff as a consequence of being League 1 champions. Even though Angels' have already seen a measurable improvement in their youth facilities under famous shoestring-budget team-builder Taleizu Sowshoyhyu, their team is almost as poor as Trá Te's, and they'll very likely go back down too.

However, there are still a few Gu Zhahogowdoo clubs that may out-suck the newly-promoted sides. Hozastvu nearly went down last year, residing in the 15th place spot for almost the entire second half of the 4013 season. They picked up an astounding and unforeseen win over Al Ziya in Muzira'a Ba'aydah City to spectacularly avoid the drop and doom Bei'thatho, but the club hasn't made any changes and the Navy Club's fans expect the Maroon-Reds to be just as poor. Sheizheidoo, too, could be in some danger - the Bankers performed moderately well under the inexperienced 37-year-old Nathaniel Kearney, but most pundits agree that the Yellow-Reds were rather lucky to finish eleventh last year.

We come now to Goytowlishemei - a strange animal. Goytow are shit, really, but they've not been anywhere near the relegation zone for quite a while now. Part of it is the wizened on-field leadership of Yttribian Jed Ewart, who despite being in his forties just refuses to quit, part of it is the Vendors' remarkably steady financial footing, and part of it is head coach Julianaja Bhi's competitive underdog mentality. It's difficult to see Goytow going down in 4014, but who knows... it's also difficult to see them finishing anywhere higher than the 12th place they obtained last season.

Gerthamasa Boyseh are up next, and for fans of the Boys, the news isn't good. Despite having ambitious hopes at the start of 4013, the Purple-Greens could only finish tenth, and that's likely where they'll end up this year, too. Hyutu Goy, a product of the Vezhidrupa youth academy, has been acquired in a loan deal, but certain parts of the Tobyumosyu media are hammering Fergus Egan for the transfer - highlighting Goy's history of inconsistency. Still, though, GB look slightly better than Zhevassi. The Blues delighted the Zahuj Peninsula (and much of the rest of the Pazhujeb Islands) by finishing sixth, but there's more to the story than that... Zhevassi had been in 4th place for much of the first half of the year, and their late-season collapse raises serious concerns about 4014. Add to that the fact that veteran striker Zhoytheitriladu Deithastvoy has now retired, and suddenly the Galacticos don't look so galactic at all.

Vortex, on the other hand, are a team that finished in the opposite (bottom) half of the table from Zhevassi, but are expected to significantly improve on their 4013 finish. The Whirls have got their finances in great shape and their acquisition of holding midfielder Thughia Ouiva’penghefa on loan from archrivals Brewers (alongside the renewal of last year's Nioclás Uriell loan, also from the Chartreuse-Oranges) is a coup. These two future national team stars could turn Vortex into a true player, not only long term, but short term as well (that is, as long as the club's management can keep Vortex's controversial far-left-wing fans in check and avoid TSLB bans or other repercussions). Also expected to do fairly well are Al Ziya, who have lost center back Mahuv Erhi to retirement but have secured the full transfer of winger Ješughvaru Awere after enjoying the left-footed playmaker's services on loan (also from Brewers) last season. The Splendour can use their geographical isolation from the rest of the Maritime Empire to great advantage, making their stadium a fortress.

Up next, we have Pkethat Hevnaje. Now, the Red-Whites are chuffed to bits at having silenced their doubters and achieved a record fourth place finish (and, by extension, a Globe Cup place). Young number nine Chidi Ya had a breakout year (and, incidentally, one of the major sources of drama in the current national team setup is that Golden Crows head coach Brendan al Tameer isn't giving Ya enough playing time), and still-nimble veteran left winger Ysfael al Jahani was third in the league for assists. But PH's finances are rumored to be deteriorating, and with the potential fixture congestion that could result from an extended Globe Cup run, the Red-Whites could have some serious problems this year. Back over to Tobyumosyu, where Stvozhaboythumow are still in building-for-the-future mode. New fans are being lured in by the Brown-Black's flamboyant, attacking style, but morale is low... many had hoped Air Force would finish higher than the fifth place they obtained. Still, Stvozha are headed to the Globe Cup - things could be worse. Like they are at Cóiméid, for example. After a great 4012, the Comets fell apart early and often in 4013, and for what must be the seventh or eighth year in a row, the Teach Iarann club have sacked their manager. Previously much-maligned Zhitowstvoy Yulethow, who previously presided over Cóiméid's atrocious ninth place 4011 season, has been reappointed amidst a storm of supporter objections. Yulethow did lead the All-Whites of Vezhidrupa to a 4012 title, so he's not exactly a questionable hire, but the fans don't care, and have sworn that they will coordinate to leave their home stadium empty on matchday as a form of silent protest.

Moving into the final quarter of the league's best teams, we find the Stvoto Latolisi four clubs with the highest UICA coefficients. First off, Sunbirds. The Reds did fairly well last season (having one of the best records in the league in matches decided by one goal or less), but still supporters feel as though seventh place was a real let-down. There's still talent here in Fahan, and compared to other big clubs they have a fairly youthful squad, so some of the fans' ambition is justified, but with very little depth and the loss of promising 16-year-old left back Towhyuzathoyzhoy Sherstvego to the much wealthier Vezhidrupa, there's also substantial reason to worry that Sunbirds could struggle mightily. Some even say they'll finish in the bottom half.

For Vezhidrupa, there are no such concerns. Rolling in ihosoes, the Mahathu giants are making plans to expand the size of their comparatively small stadium so that they can fit in all their fans. The All-Whites still have the best goalkeeper in the league, and Abu Bakr Linnegan is coming into his prime (the Arab-Irishman could be in line for a call-up to the Gold-Whites in a year or two)... and yet it's very difficult to see Vezhidrupa taking the league title back from Brewers. The squad is aging, and new head coach Rasheed Ouinhichamba, while very popular with All-Whites supporters (understandable given he's a former player) marshaled a world-class Lobyuseistvooshu side to a lackluster third place finish in 4013. Veteran winger Quinn Vail has been brought in with the intent of re-purposing him as a supporting striker, and the aforementioned youngster Sherstvego helps to blunt the impact of long-time left back Eremon Yorwerth's retirement, but Vezhidrupa need more than that. Brewers and Lobyuseistvooshu are prepped to be more dominant than ever, and North Mahathu's favorite club just doesn't match up.

So... Brewers or Lobyu? Caisleán Luaith or Tobyumosyu? Chartreuse and orange or red and gray? It's a two way race this year, and it's impossible to call. Brewers have the trophy in their cabinet as we speak (really, that doesn't do it justice... the Chartreuse-Oranges almost went unbeaten last season), their manager is a proven winner (with multiple clubs, to boot), and essentially their whole midfield starts for the national team. Then again, Lobyu have an absolutely thriving youth system (from which the "Jabbar al Amri of the next generation," Falconiušam Ebash, has emerged), the league's best defense for several years in a row (and by the way, they've just snapped up former player and national team fixture Manu Uchatheppujaghu on a wonderfully-worked loan deal with Vezhidrupa), and an unparalleled wing tandem of Ajax Elk and Usama O'Bearga. Take your pick - it's a toss up. Very likely, the difference-maker will be Lobyuseistvooshu's new coach; former national team center back Shyusowterzu Toytazoyzhili (you might remember him as the guy who scored that 50-yard miracle goal in a loss to Antoletia back in the World Cup 71 qualifiers) has been given the job after Rasheed Ouinhichamba was tempted away by his hometown Vezhidrupa. Toytazoyzhili is inexperienced as a manager, but he is remembered as a player who was a charismatic leader whose teammates loved him. A smooth operator, he may get results out of his squad that will push the Red, Gray, and Chartreuse beyond the defending champs.

Or who knows, maybe Toytazoyzhili will suck and Brewers will just run away with the league (again).

San League Soccer

San League Soccer is about to enter its second season. Will defending champions Llara Llera defend their crown? Or will Llerana SC steal it? Or somebody else? The journey starts here. Here is a team-by-team preview of the upcoming season:

All players, unless noted otherwise, are of San Lleran nationality.

Llara Llera
Last Season: 1st
Notable Players:
GK Marcel Fons
LB Hugo Serda
CB Sergi Batista
CM Enric Bou
RW Francisco Palla
ST Oscar Potus
Llara Llera, the champions last season, will be coming into this season looking for another championship ad another appearance in the Champions' Cup, where they will be looking to build on a promising run last year. They certainly have the skill to finish first again, with the likes of Enric Bou, Oscar Potus, and Marcel Fons. They should b a very good defensive team as they were last year, when they conceded a league-low 17 goals. Overall, Antonio Durazno's team should be one of the best in all areas of the pitch, and they are the favorite to win San League this year.

Llerana SC
Last Season: 2nd
Notable Players:
GK Chimo Fons
LB Jacque Olivier
CB Alexandre De Gonia
CM Paulo Masias
RW Don Llorens
ST Andreu Mallet
ST Adam Cassista

Llerana SC will be coming into this season looking to improve on their underwhelming last season and overtake eternal rivals Llara Llera for first in the San League. They'll spend the money necessary to contend, but will it all work out on the field? Star players Don Llorens and Andreu Mallet will return and undoubtedly play very well, and Chimo Fons will be between the sticks, hoping to reestablish his place as the best goalkeeper in San Llera. Llerana SC have lost Josep Montella, as he's gone away to play in Port Christopher, but the emergence of Paulo Masias in the central midield will make up for that. They have also added Jacque Olivier, who came back from overseas after the Equatian League folded, and he will fill a gaping hole at left back quite well. Llerana SC will also be looking for a breakout season from the much-hyped youngster Adam Cassista and a more consistent year from Alexandre De Gonia. All this talent makes Llerana SC a likely option for first in the league, but will manager Jan Cassallerus find the right combination of players? My money is on Llerana SC disappointing again.

Chell SC
Last Season: 3rd
Notable Players:
GK Didac Escutia
CB Enric Viktorio
LW Pelechamchas (Nationality Unknown)
RW Guifre Gil
ST Jan Capo
Chell SC, coming off of a surprising 3rd-place finish last year, would ordinarily be looking to build on that. However, after the loss of beloved star player Hector Fonda to the Patistani Super League, they will only be looking to hold on to that 3rd spot for dear life. They did improve in other ways over the offseason, adding Jan Capo as a striker, who should help them score a few more goals. They also added center back Enric Viktorio from AS Mantegapa, but even those two transfers combined shouldn't make up for their loss. Returning players like the speedy Pelechamchas, the flashy Guifre Gil, and the streaky Didac Escutia should keep them in contention for that third spot, but Chell SC aren't as good as they were last season.

Cremando Llera
Last Season: 4th
Notable Players:
GK Raul Mesita
LB Pau Milla
CB Agustus Bensa
CB Israel Casabando
LW Carlo Hasando
ST Octavio Bens
ST Marcel Bens
From a tiny village deep in the Cremando Mountains that is inhabited by just 5,000 people comes the club of Cremando Llera, who only have players from that village. They continued to defy expectations last year when that team of unheard-of players somehow finished fourth in the league. Those players are now heard of, but besides that, this team remains unchanged. They are still led by Marcel Bens at striker, as well as his striking partner, who is also his brother. And, as always, Cremando Llera has an excellent defense, anchored by goalkeeper Raul Mesita and the center back combination of Agustus Bensa and Israel Casabando. They'll be looking to, once again, compete for a Globe Cup spot.

Pantans
Last Season: 5th
Notable Players:
GK Denis Thoda
CB Marc Abello
LW Eduard Mayner
CM Antoni
ST Carles Mestre
Before last season, Pantans spent a lot of money. The players didn't work out, and they were immediately dumped. Before this season, they spent a lot of money once again, bringing in high-profile free agents Eduard Mayner and Marc Abello. Will they work out? Management is optimistic, as they are already proven with the San Llera National Team. Pantans was disappointed to miss out on a Globe Cup spot last year, but they are hoping that their new additions and returning star Carles Mestre can give them a postseason. There is plenty of optimism surrounding this team, especially after new manager Joan Campos seemed to click at the end of last season. But they also felt this way before last year, and Pantans hopes not to repeat that.

Amici Llano
Last Season: 6th
Notable Players:
GK Alejandro Denissa
RW Andreas Quoe
ST Ricard Penn
Amici Llano, a team made up of friends of the Great Leader Alejandro Llano, isn't too talented. They have some decent players in Alejandro Denissa, Andreas Quoe, and Ricard Penn, as sometimes Alejandro Llano stretches the definition of "friend" when a player is good enough. And they always get some nice calls from the referees, but they probably don't have the talent to improve on last season's 6th place finish.

Patria Poble
Last Season: 7th
Notable Players:
CB Eric Tallo
RB Antoni Belles
CM Alejandro Turro
RW Quince Morales
ST Dani Rolles
Patria Poble was by far the most disappointing club last season, and they will be hoping to improve a lot on their point total of 43. Antoni Belles and Alejandro Turro, regulars on the national team, will return after lackluster finishes in the last season. If Belles and Turro return to their normal selves, this team will be very good. If not, they could be looking at a repeat of last season. Patria Poble did sign Eric Tallo, who will strengthen their back line, but they lack depth, which might lock them out of a Globe Cup spot.

AS Mantegapa
Last Season: 8th
Notable Players:
GK Chanista Chanista
LW Martini Saragosa
ST Dario Mata
AS Mantegapa will be what they've always been - a mid-table side. The only real player of note they have is Martini Saragosa, who will be their best player and work his passing wizardry as always. But after him, they don'y have much. Chanistachanista has a pretty great name (in his tribe, every male's first name is the same as his last), and a 7"1' wingspan, but that is it. AS Mantegapa probably won't compete for the Globe Cup, but they won't finish at the bottom of the table either.

Porta Llora
Last Season: 9th
Notable Players:
CB Gaston Valera
LW Adam Gasca
ST Maximiliano Pan
Porta Llora, often regarded as the third wheel of club soccer in Llerana, is another mid-tale side who shouldn't move too much. They're not bad, with the likes of exciting 17-year-old Adam Gasca on the wing and Gaston Valera a strong presence in defense, but it would be a shock in they challenge for a Globe Cup place.

San Llera University of Physiology
Last Season: 10th
Notable Players:
GK Andreu Murillo
CM Lorenzo Jara
CM Marc Disatre
SLUP Soccer, the best university soccer team, is very fit and hard-working, but not much else. They should keep their title as the best university and they will be the favorite at the annual University Games, but after that, SLUP shouldn't make too much of a dent on San League Soccer.

San Llera University of Linguistics
Last Season: 11th
Notable Players:
LB Alfredo Tonson
CM Jan Tallo
ST Adan Luigo
SLUL weren't terrible last season, but that was only because of the presence of Gerard Quella. With Quella off to the Scottopian Isles, SLUL should be pretty bad this year. Only Jan Tallo would have a chance of starting on of the bigger teams.

Camp Pende
Last Season: 12th
Notable Players:
GK Chase King (Nationality Unknown)
RW Boris Chevetchkov (Nationality Unknown)
ST Dwight (Nationality Unknown)
It is a very poorly kept secret that, in San Llera, all illegal immigrants are put through a soccer skills test before being deported. If they pass, they stay in San Llera and usually end up playing for Camp Pende. This year, Camp Pende aren't very good, however, probably because most people don't want to immigrate to San Llera.

Familia Llano
Last Season: 13th
Notable Players:
RW Don Llano
ST Ricardo Llano
ST Gerard Llano
The family of Great Leader Alejandro Llano has a few decent soccer players, but they aren't nearly as good as the other teams. The only thing keeping them out of last place is the referees.

San Llera University of Archeology
Last Season: 14th
Notable Players:
RB Ignasi Tora
CM James Mirramos
RW Marc Cinturon
The SLUA were terrible last season, and they will probably be terrible this season, especially considering the loss of their best player, Caprius Pria.

San Llera University of Chemistry
Last Season: 15th
Notable Players:
CB Mike Beasley
CM Pietro Delaclava
ST Eduard Nunho
The worst team in San League Soccer is SLUC. They will not win many games.

*More to come. Ran out of time :P

National Cup
The National Cup is the domestic cup of the Liga. Once the final Liga game has been played, the teams are fixed. Second plays seventh, third plays sixth, and fourth plays fifth in a home and away game with an aggregate score that is decided by penalties if it is tied. The winners of these move on to the semi-final where each is randomly selected to play each other, including the league winner. These games are also played home and away. Finally, the last game between the semi-final winners is played in the Wandelaar Stadio.

Schlecht Cup
The Schlecht Cup was brought in because the National Association of Walkany Football anticipated teams that don't perform well needing to bring in more money. At the end of the Liga season, the two teams play in the Wandelaar Stadio for the Cup. Large amounts of the revenue are divided between the two competing teams, with the winner having a slightly larger portion than the loser. A small amount goes to the last place Liga team to keep them moving forward as well.

Sieger Cup
The winners of the league, the National Cup, the Schlecht Cup, and the second finalist of the National Cup play in the Sieger Cup which marks the beginning of the new season. They are randomly seeded, so no one knows who they will play until the week of the competition. The semi final games are randomly selected for either teams home stadium, but the final is played in the Wandelaar Stadio, the home stadium of the national team.
