How this works is those issues are added to the issue pool once you reach the required population, so when you get them is random but you won't get them until you meet the population requirement. Your title can be changed in settings as soon as you reach 500 million (you don't have to answer an issue for that one).

Yes, this one population-dependent issue is different from every other one in the game.

I'm not sure if it's true, but It seems that "Red" is the best color to have in your pre-title to get the favorite color easter egg, I used several puppets to try it, all the ones with "Red" (excluding this one at the time of post >:( ) got it as the VERY NEXT issue, the others (with colors "Black", "Blue",etc) have yet to receive it.

Considering that the issues chosen at random, that's just a coincidence.

I had thought that initially, just had to make sure though (I switched them to red just in case anyways)

How to get the easter egg issues (SPOILER)

Postby Dreudel » Mon Oct 25, 2010 7:30 pm

I FOUND A NEW EASTER EGG! Totally by accident of course. So first off, the Easter Egg did not say that it was an egg in the title but I was suspicious because I had never received the issue before and it was a funny one. I don't remember the specific title but it was all about how
recent satellite system exploration showed that my nation was a tiny part of a much larger continent. Advisers were asking what to do about the land and culture. The options I remember were:

1. Trade with the other nations, despite the area being a war zone. [I picked this and got "trade is bringing a wide selection of strange resources and technologies into Dreudel although importers have the highest mortality rate in the nation (Dreudel has found 6 easter eggs)" as a result.]

2. Build up military because closest neighbor is huge and apparently has space shuttles.

3. Something by some scholar about some ancient ruins recently being found nearby and how we should explore them.

4. A whole strategically designed war plan to go after one nation at a time and take them over.

There may have been options that I forget.

Now, what did I to to get this? Nothing. I assume you have to be a large nation (I'm at almost 9 billion). I also have information technology as my #2 industry, maybe that played a role. Also, my nation is noted for "keen interest in outer space." Besides that, I'm not so sure. Gas deposits were mentioned maybe twice in the issue's options as a valuable resource but that's not in my top 3 industries. Also, my environment has always been really bad. My nation is categorized as "capitalizt."

Hope this help!

And it's already in the issue-list.

Though it's description says I've found one easter egg, I have found more.

I have that same issue few days ago. Here's one of the results:

1 day, 14 hours ago: Following new legislation in Norstal, trade is bringing a wide selection of strange resources and technologies into Norstal although importers have the highest mortality rate in the nation (Norstal has found 5 easter eggs).

Probably has something to do with regional influence imo or with technology.
But I had good technology before. Wonder why I didn't have this earlier.

LOL, that would make it Vespene gas and would explain the war zone statement, too!

As for the Easter Egg, yes, that's the right one. I doubt regional influence had anything to do with it, I think I was a lowly "Truckler" when I got it.

I just got "Easter Egg: Suburbs Are Out Of This World" ... which I believe is my first Easter Egg with this (my main) nation.

I've been working on decreasing my tax rate (it's still at 100% ... probably because I've been a fairly socialist state for almost 7 years, to that point) and anything that earns business more money and/or decreases tax rates is something that I select under issues. Not sure if there are any notable things about my nation right now - my crime is crippling, though, if that matters. (I saw someone mention crime earlier when they were talking about this Easter Egg.)

Swesoc wrote:I was reading through this thread (an interesting read!) and thought we should once and for all figure out what the requirements for all the easter eggs are.

As I understand, these are the easter egg issues:

#077: World to End, or Possibly Just Mark Anniversary
NSWiki implies that you get this once you've found a certain number of easter eggs: "Note: This issue also included the message: (Congratulations on finding so many easter eggs. As a reward, here is the special issue our players got when NationStates turned one year old.) if it was received after the 1 year anniversary."

- The amount of easter eggs you need to find is 3 (possibly less). - Dreudel

#078: Easter Egg: Should We Pull The Lever?
Have "Holy" in your pretitle. - Flibbleites. Possibly also have 1 or 1.25 billion population (Did anyone get the issue without having a 1 billion population, or without having 1.25 billion?).

#080: Easter Egg: Aliens Wish Peace/Trade Agreement
"produce a whole heck of a lot of pizza" - Omigodtheykilledkenny (you only need to have "Pizza Delivery" as your major industry? How do you get that?). There's also some speculation about it here.

#215: Easter Egg: What's Your Favourite Colour?
Have a color in your pretitle (for which you need 500 million population). - Ballotonia

#223: Easter Egg: Zombie Attack!
Re-activate account ("come back from the dead"). - Omigodtheykilledkenny

There's also another theory that seems less likely (since most people who got this one never had anything special in their pretitles and only re-activated) but I'll keep it here anyway: It's possible that it's enough to only have "Zombie" in your pretitle, without having to re-activate. - Shinkadomayaka

#256: Easter Egg: Suburbs Are Out Of This World
Possibly high crime rate (crippling?). - Zwangzug
Possibly also a space program. - New Ziedrich

#266: Breaching the Great Fourth Wall of @@NAME@@
NOTE: this one is not marked as an easter egg but it'll say you've found an easter egg once you answer it. - Dreudel
