Foxhound Standard (Utility)

Postby Atlantica » Fri May 15, 2015 5:16 pm

Z.D.I. Foxhound Standard (Utility)
Image

UNIT PRICE: $450,000
DPR: Included in Combined DPR

The Foxhound Standard is a vehicle designed to transport troops and various equipment quickly on road and off-road. Having a maximum speed of over 110 kilometers per hour, the Foxhound Standard is made to be a highly capable and survivable utility tactical platform, capable of transporting four fully-armed soldiers through the battlefield.

The Foxhound Standard, like other variants of the Foxhound Tactical Vehicle Line, is well-armored. In order to counter machine gun and grenade fire, it features a composite steel that goes all around the vehicle, while a V-shaped bottom was integrated to counter the threat of Improvised Explosive Devices (IED). To answer to modern combat situations, the Foxhound Standard, like other variants, is fully NBCR-hardened, while it has been hardened to counter EMP. As of now, the integration of active protection systems - similar to the Trophy LV - is currently under testing.

The Foxhound Standard, like all other variants of the Foxhound Tactical Vehicle line, uses a diesel-electric hybrid propulsion system to power the vehicle. Seeing that previous tactical vehicles did not go well in terms of fuel efficiency and weren't the best for the environment, designers of Zeus Defense Industries initially decided to go for an all-electric version. However, also seeing that an all-electric version will take much more time to charge than a diesel variant, the Foxhound decided to make a win-win between the two: the result was the diesel-electric hybrid propulsion system. The Diesel-Electric Hybrid propulsion system delivers 440 hp of power, eventually coming up with a fuel economy of about 21 km/l. Considering that the Humvee's fuel economy was about 6 km/l, this was a great advancement in fuel economy, while delivering adequate thrust.

Specifications

  • Length: 5.9 m
  • Width: 2.4 m
  • Height: 2.4 m
  • Engine: ZeusTech Diesel-Electric Hybrid Propulsion System, 440 hp
  • Max. Speed: 110 km/h
  • Transmission: 6-speed automatic
  • Fuel Economy: 21 km/l
  • Operational Range: 1,000 km
  • Crew: 1
  • Passenger: 4
  • Armor: Composite Steel, V-hull
  • Ground Clearance: 0.5 m
  • Armament (Optional): Machine Gun, Grenade Launcher (both on RWS)
  • Defense: 8 x Softkill Defense Grenades, Trophy-LV System (Optional), Counter-NCBR, EMP

DPR: Included in Combined DPR

The Foxhound Combat-I is a variant of the Foxhound Tactical Vehicle line designated for combat. Featuring permanent armament, the Foxhound Combat-I is a vehicle made to bring protection against incoming attacks against the vehicle and protect its crew and passengers.

The Foxhound Combat-I, like other variants of the Foxhound Tactical Vehicle Line, is well-armored. In order to counter machine gun and grenade fire, it features a composite steel that goes all around the vehicle, while a V-shaped bottom was integrated to counter the threat of Improvised Explosive Devices (IED). To answer to modern combat situations, the Foxhound Combat-I, like other variants, is fully NBCR-hardened, while it has been hardened to counter EMP.

The Foxhound Combat-II is a variant of the Foxhound Tactical Vehicle line and an upgrade to the Foxhound Combat-I in terms of survivability in combat. Featuring remote weapons systems, more armor and improved engines, the Foxhound Combat-II continues the line of the Foxhound Tactical Vehicle line as a potent ground tactical vehicle.

The Foxhound Combat-II, like other variants of the Foxhound Tactical Vehicle Line, is well-armored. In order to counter machine gun and grenade fire, it features a composite steel that goes all around the vehicle, while a V-shaped bottom was integrated to counter the threat of Improvised Explosive Devices (IED). To answer to modern combat situations, the Foxhound Combat II, like other variants, is fully NBCR-hardened, while it has been hardened to counter EMP.

Foxhound ATGM

Postby Atlantica » Fri May 15, 2015 5:16 pm

Z.D.I. Foxhound ATGM
Image

UNIT PRICE: $750,000
DPR: Included in Combined DPR

The Foxhound ATGM is a variant of the Foxhound Tactical Vehicle line made to launch anti-tank guided missiles (ATGM), developed from the Foxhound Combat-I variant. With the usage of ATGM's, the Foxhound ATGM brings greater anti-vehicle capability into the platform, making it an able and maneuverable platform that can even stand up to heavily armored vehicles.

Despite the ATGM, the Foxhound ATGM, like other variants of the Foxhound Tactical Vehicle Line, is well-armored. In order to counter machine gun and grenade fire, it features a composite steel that goes all around the vehicle, while a V-shaped bottom was integrated to counter the threat of Improvised Explosive Devices (IED). To answer to modern combat situations, the Foxhound ATGM, like other variants, is fully NBCR-hardened, while it has been hardened to counter EMP. Active protection systems similar to the Trophy LV is also considered.

The Foxhound ATGM, like all other variants of the Foxhound Tactical Vehicle line, uses a diesel-electric hybrid propulsion system to power the vehicle. Seeing that previous tactical vehicles did not go well in terms of fuel efficiency and weren't the best for the environment, designers of Zeus Defense Industries initially decided to go for an all-electric version. However, also seeing that an all-electric version will take much more time to charge than a diesel variant, developers of the Foxhound decided to make a win-win between the two: the result was the diesel-electric hybrid propulsion system. However, the Foxhound ATGM shows a difference in the fuel economy from other variants, as it holds ATGM's and other equipment, which give a demand of increase in weight and a slight increase in armor.

Specifications

  • Length: 5.9 m
  • Width: 2.4 m
  • Height: 2.4 m
  • Engine: ZeusTech Diesel-Electric Hybrid Propulsion System, 440 hp
  • Max. Speed: 105 km/h
  • Transmission: 6-speed automatic
  • Fuel Economy: 19.5 km/l
  • Operational Range: 9,600 km
  • Crew: 1
  • Passenger: 4
  • Armor: Composite Steel, V-hull
  • Ground Clearance: 0.5 m
  • Armament: 4 x ATGM in a RCT (remote-controlled turret)
  • Defense: 8 x Softkill Defense Grenades, Trophy-LV System, Counter-NCBR, EMP

Image

UNIT PRICE: $720,000
DPR: Included in Combined DPR

The Foxhound Combat-I is a variant of the Foxhound Tactical Vehicle line designed for battlefield reconnaissance, developed from the Foxhound Combat-II. It is fitted with a higher-powered engine, more sensors made for recon, and options for armament.

The Foxhound Recon, like other variants of the Foxhound Tactical Vehicle Line, is well-armored. The Foxhound Recon variant, unlike other variants, features composite armor (not necessarily steel) in order to achieve lesser weight while providing on-par armor. To answer to modern combat situations, the Foxhound Recon, like other variants, is fully NBCR-hardened, while it has been hardened to counter EMP.

The Foxhound Recon, like all other variants of the Foxhound Tactical Vehicle line, uses a diesel-electric hybrid propulsion system to power the vehicle. The Foxhound Recon is fitted with an upgraded engine, which provide a total of 475 hp of thrust.

Specifications

  • Length: 5.9 m
  • Width: 2.4 m
  • Height: 2.4 m
  • Engine: ZeusTech Diesel-Electric Hybrid Propulsion System, 475 hp
