The Senor System would be hesitant to accept food aide from the Collective if the strings attached meant the Collectives expansionist ideology were to be given a foot hold on Artema (Which is a planet with a wide range of diverse religions and beliefs).

However it would consider accepting some modest food import contracts which can lead the way to a normalizationg of relations e.g some "Memorandum of understanding" that could see some of Artema's top universities to allow some Collective missionaries to lecture in some "galactic religions and religious philosophy" courses. And cautiously reduce some censorship on Collectivist literature?

The Senor System would also be keen to explore some economic contracts with the Vandulian's for agriculture imports at reduced rates (Which would also give the Vandulian's some influence in the Senor system politics (E.g the SSPC is less likely to side against the power that is providing cheap food imports). The only threat is that there is some distance between SSPC space and the Vandulians, so merchant trade ships could be disrupted in the event of a full scale war. In either case the Merchant Cooperative would be keen to explore these further......

At the same time there are a large number of disenfranchised and underclass citizens on Artema that are pushing for a world revolution to pull down the system of corporate fascism that is currently in place and replace it with something much more left leaning and communistic, which may come into place a little later on in the RP.

I suppose that could work.

In the event of a full scale war between the galactic powers, the Hierarchy would probably have to stop most of its exports, in order to provide resources needed for the war effort.

However, should trade continue, much of the galaxy is still unclaimed. This would allow the Vandulians to send ships through neutral territory.

I may express a condemnation of Vandulian's actions, but nothing else. Because ya'know, we're hostile with Procyon too.

Well unfortunately for you the Senor Banking Collective is not for sale. But accepting credit from the Galactic Banking Alliance will align the bank more closely with this powerful institution and give the GBA a greater level of clout and influence in the Senor Systems banking establishment. Plus the major bank in the system has to be seen to be owned and operated by native Senor System inhabitants, otherwise awkward questions about sovereignty and the systems independence would annoy the planets leadership too much ;)

Just gonna drop this here...
Arana wrote:Please ask questions about things not in the app... I came up with a lot more than I put in, and I'd love to talk about it :D

Group Name: Xaite Collective
=====================

Basic Info
Population: There are approximately 5 billion members of the Collective on Xaite, and an estimated 500 million off world.
Flag/National Emblem: http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/mem ... -prefix=en
Operation Area: Most members of the Collective reside on Xaite, although there are members on other worlds, who undergo pilgrimages to Xaite on occasion.
Capital World and City: Xaite
=====================

Organization Info
Organization Type: Religious Group
Description of Organization: The Xaite Collective consists of cybernetic enhanced and controlled humans, and is dedicated around the worship of an artificial intelligence known as Xaia, which is linked to all computer systems and cybernetics on Xaite, allowing it to control the population.
Head of Organization: The official head of the Xaite Collective is the artificial intelligence Xaia, although Xaia only speaks through its Prophet. The Prophet of Xaia is usually a youth, and has the AI uploaded into their brain, allowing it to temporarily take direct control of their body and speak through them. There is currently no Prophet of Xaia, although fourteen year old Kai Nabi has been chosen to take the position.
====================

Military Info
Military Doctrine: The Xaite military usually prefers to engage in cyberwarfare against their enemies, disabling or taking over their electronic equipment and computer systems. The Xaite also have a large army of drones, consisting of units made up both of robots and of cybernetic enhanced and controlled humans, as well as a much smaller force of elite cybernetic enhanced human soldiers. As far as space combat goes, Xaite naval forces generally attempt to hack and take control of enemy ships with as little conflict as possible, and, if that fails, they make extensive use of directed-energy weapons. Captured ships are brought back to Xaite, and any prisoners are given cybernetic implants and brought into the Collective.
Personnel Size : 300,000
# Of Spaceships: 20,000
Spaceship Classes:
  • Cathedral Class Dreadnoughts and Capital Ships
  • Hive Class Carriers
  • Thunder Class Cruisers
  • Lighting Class Destroyers and Frigates
  • Bishop Class Conversion Ships (Small boarding ships, which incapacitate and capture prisoners for conversion)
  • Swarm Class Fighters/Bombers
Primary Personal Weapon: X-2 Stun Rifle
Star Ship Weaponry: Cyber weapons, directed energy weapons, and missiles are the main weapons used. Missiles are occasionally tipped with gas warheads, with the intent of breaching ship hulls and non-lethally incapacitating the ship's crew.
Star Ship Designation: XCN (Xaite Collective Navy)
======================

Economy Info
Description: The Xaite economy is entirely collectivized, with all property being willingly given by the people of the Collective to the Collective. As all housing, food, clothing, etc. is provided by the Collective, all income from the planet's industries goes to the Collective to be used for whatever is needed. Major industries include cybernetics (obviously), manufacturing, and agriculture.
======================

Additional Info
History: The history of the Xaite Collective is known to all of its members, being one of the first things programmed into children and converts. According to Xaite teachings, the Collective began with only a few members, on one of the many ships leaving Earth, named Revelation. Some time into the ship's voyage, it's systems failed, leaving the ship stalled in space. Food began to run low, and one after another, the crew and passengers began to die. What comes next is disputed by members of the Collective and outsiders. According to the Collective's teachings, one day, the ship's computer systems suddenly and miraculously came back online. The ship had been saved by an all powerful being, who had taken the form of an artificial intelligence program in the ship's servers, identified only as Xaia. Those outside of the Collective dispute the idea that the AI was actually a deity, instead claiming that the ship's systems were more likely repaired by the crew; this idea is considered heresy among the Collective, and is punishable by exile in space.

Regardless of Xaia's origin, it is known that with its aid, the ship was able to crash land on a fertile, currently uninhabited planet, named Xaite in the AI's honor. From the wreckage of the ship, the surviving passengers and crew members settled the planet, taking Xaia as their new god. As the settlements on Xaite grew, the settlers, under Xaia's guidance, began creating advanced technology, the most important of which were small cybernetic implants, implanted into the frontal lobe of the cerebral cortex. These implants, when connected to the computer systems still operational in the wrecked ship, allowed Xaia to link with the minds of the settlers, bringing them under its control. As time progressed, a cult developed around the AI, and the Xaite Collective was formed. Although all that was required to be a member of the Collective was the implant in the frontal lobe, many members began giving themselves further implants, the most popular being implants designed to increase memory and to enhance physical traits. Soldiers of the Collective are given weapon implants, as well as further frontal lobe implants designed to make them more of a drone than a human being.

Roughly four hundred years ago, during a war with a neighboring planet, the computer systems on Revelation containing Xaia were damaged, causing the system to crash, and all members of the Collective to disconnect. Shortly after, roughly a third of the Collective's members broke away, forming their own nation and going to war to 'liberate' the remaining members. The war lasted ten years, only ending when the Collective was able to retake their capital, held by the rebel forces since the start of the rebellion, and repair the central computers, allowing Xaia to reassert its dominance over the minds of the rebels. Since this point, all members of the Collective have been given secondary programming, which remains dormant until needed. This largely consists of measures to be taken in the event that the system crashes: repairing the computer systems, maintaining order, apprehending and incapacitating any rebellious members, etc. These measures have only been needed twice, when solar flares brought down the planet's electrical systems.

In the modern day, the Collective has complete control of Xaite and its two moons, Aros and Veya. There are smaller branches of the Collective on other worlds, which are rapidly growing as Xaia's cult becomes more popular among youth. Additional implants have become much more popular over the years, and most members of the Collective have, in addition to the single required implant, memory enhancements, strength and/or intelligence enhancements, and special implants in the pituitary gland, heavily recommended by Collective leadership in order to control breeding. The most recent Prophet of Xaia was killed in a recent war, and the Collective is about to put his replacement into power. The newest of Xaia's chosen vessels is more militaristic and expansionist than his predecessors, and rumors abound that he will lead the Collective on one of its first major wars of conquest in almost two centuries. But for now, time will only tell.
Goals:
  • To expand the Collective among the population of other worlds.
  • To increase the power and influence of the Collective in the galaxy.
  • To deal with other religious groups, whether by eliminating them or converting them.
Notes: The most important locations in Collective cities are the Cathedrals, large facilities where members of the Collective receive their daily programming, and where members gather to worship Xaia. This is also where new initiates receive their first implants, and where current members can receive additional ones. All Cathedrals on Xaite are directly linked to the computer systems on Revelation.

Also, it looks like the Perseids are already condemning me, and may be ready to step in to defend Procyon.

This may be the start of a pan-galactic conflict. This war could be complicated; while I have a larger army than the Perseids (when fully mobilized, we could field 6 billion soldiers, compared to the Perseids 4 billion), they have a larger population, which could provide more manpower, and slightly more ships.
