A couple mercenaries were talking in the hallway "I can't believe the Raven smuggled Pagan soldiers into the Krieger's own castle town. I know he wants the throne badly but signing an alliance with the heathens? That's a bit much don't you think?" One soldier with an Italian accent, most likely from Venatiano, another soldier shrugged "He's probably just using them to shield his maneuvers from the Royal Inquisition and other loyal Thanes... I heard he's bringing in the his Black Heart Legion." The soldier, most likely a native Camelonean, said while the other members of the group made the sign of the cross "God protect us." The Venatianian said grimly.

As soon as the explosion sounded, the swords were unsheathed, and a stance of battle was taken. They never got to fight, however, as Jonathon moved to protect Ila, pushing her out of the way of fire, and taking a protective stance over her. The fire died down, just as quickly as it had started. "Are you all right, ambassador?" Jonathon asked, checking on her first.
Ila blushed slightly, silently nodding her head before gesturing to Frederick. She and Jonathon both put their blades away as Jonathon rushed over to the prince's side. "My liege, are you alright? Can you stand?" He carefully moved the dead guard's body off of the downed Prince, making the sign of the cross as he did so. He offered Frederick his hand, looking down into the dungeon. "Guards, escort the ambassador to the Sacheyenyani embassy, and make sure the Vaspai are there to lock down the perimeter. Ila, I shall join you shortly." He called this over to the guards, discreetly making sure the Celtist King had fled. He didn't even know the man's name, but already knew where his support should best lie. He muttered a silent prayer for Frederick, as he prepared to escort the man to the infirmary.

Frederick took Jonathon's offered hand and stood up "I am in no need for a medic, the bullet struck my armor and hardly penetrated." He said, though the blood dripping from his wound didn't support his statement. Bishop Joshua walked out into the carnage and began saying final rites for dying soldiers who were Loyalist or rebel "I think we'll be able to convince the Tingstag to declare war on the Celtist pagans now, do you have a tracker on those copters?" Frederick asked walking by Jonathon but faltered at seeing the guard who shielded him. Flipping the dead body over Frederick took the man's dog tags and knife, he handed them over to another guard "Make sure these get to his family along with the title Laird added to his families name. A man as selfless as this man deserves nothing else." With a quick "Yes my liege." The guard went to do just that. The other guards listened to Jonathon and started leading Ila to the embassies. The captured fighters were circled together and disarmed while the loyalist soldiers watched over them. "What are we to do with the captured?" Bishop Joshua asked after he finished saying the final rites.

"Thank you, thank you." Ila muttered as she left with the guards. Jonathon watched her leave, making sure she was safely escorted out, as was his duty as a knight. With Ila at least at the embassy, she could wire the Celtist King through to the Sacheyenyani King; but without Jonathon's reports, there was less of a chance Lord Dyanu would agree to help the cause. He could only hope he made it back to the embassy before the talk could occur.

"Their punishment should be death." Jonathon added vehemently. "They have abandoned the Lord, Our God, and have attacked a noble in his own castle. Furthermore, they have aided the escape of a rebel and a terrorist, committing both acts in their own accord. Is public execution not a suitable punishment for these men?"

"Yes they deserve death and a proper burial." Frederick said looking over at the rebels and King Ludwig walked out of the central keep in full armor that was badly beaten up showing that he was definitely in the middle of the fighting. Approaching the captured soldiers and pagan soldiers he looked over them and after a while he turned around and walked away but as he was passing the Master Man-at-Arms he whispered something to him and the order was given "Fire!" and gun shots were heard as the captured were gunned down as there was no doubting that they were all guilty. "Bury the pagans in the chapel graveyard but return the other soldiers' bodies to their respective home villages so they can receive a proper burial." King Ludwig ordered as he returned to the keep and took his helmet off.

"In nomine pater..." Jonathon muttered. He hid his shock. He had hoped for a public execution, to give the Celtists a chance to save their comrades. But instead, they died here. He crossed himself once more, bowing to the king as he walked by. "My liege, if there is anything I may do to aid you at the moment, I shall remain and do it gladly as a knight to your service. However, if there is naught that I am required to do, I will be heading to the embassy, to check on my ambassador, as well as our grouping."

"No there is nothing you can do to aid me right now. I will make sure that the next time I find Warchief Udhir I will kill him with my own hands and anybody allied with him, no matter who they are, will face a firing squad." King Ludwig growled out as he made his way to an APC "They still have warriors terrorizing the city. Load up and move out!" The king ordered and the soldiers quickly went to work. "You may leave to your embassy." Crown Prince Frederick said as he put his helmet back on and grabbed his rifle.

Giving him a quick kiss, Becca said, "For luck. I'll just wait here for you! Just remember while you're fighting, I need you here! That should keep you alive if your amazing fighting can't!"

Ayon nodded in thanks and one of the knights took him by the shoulders and started pushing him out "We have to move now Junker." The knight said as the other followed him. The battle came to right underneath the hotel. Anyon and the two knights could be seen with another squad of Krieger Knights who engaged in battle with the Celtist warriors. The battle soon devolved into a melee with both sides either firing point blank at each other, with bayonets, or knives or swords.

Feic heard the two men talking and gave them hear ear's attention. Pagan soldiers and the Black Heart Legion...
The last name rang a bell somewhere, somewhere in the category "Don't mess with these guys." and that was most likely more then just true if one considered, what those two just said between each other.
Pagans however... strictly speaking, she was a pagan herself, a follower of the Cult of Ladra, one of the six main cults of the Free Lands, but she didn't have any alliance or association with the man, who wanted many of his own people dead for his own gains. Bad for Camelone, not mattering for the Free Lands, good for business., she thought with a smirk, Just because I don't have an association with him now doesn't mean we can not work on it in the future!
Her first act of interaction with the men in the inn was to gave one of them men in the group, the one with the accent she dropped as being Italian, a small smile - and then went to her room.
It wasn't the most comfy one, she thought as she put her bag down, but the room furnished with a bed, chest, table and chair, all made out of strong and sturdy looking wood, would suit her well enough. Testing it, she sat down on the mattress. More comfy then it looks..., she thought.
Her hand reached up, to the small strip holding the fur lined collar of the small cloak together, which connected the sleeves - dark blue, as it was usual for a maiden of the Tribe of Antrim. With this connection released, she put her two hands far behind her, arms paralled to each other, to let the sleeves slide down her arms. It was releasing for the Selkie to finally have this piece, which bothered her the most of the whole Geansai, gone - after that, she took off the arm warmers, putting them and the sleeve piece on the table.
Her bag held both a reserve Geansai in Antrim's colours, one of Galway, one of Laois and foreign clothing of the plenty, just to disappear, if needed. But besides cloting, a box with a dozen small whisky samples, her washbag (she was thankful for the small door leading to a bathroom, she would have to check that one out later), a few other utensils and her laptop for business presentations, there was also a folder with paper and pens.
She grabbed those and put them on the table, taking a sheet - there was one distinctive disadvantage to wearing only holder, skirt and stockings. It was colder then with the rest, but that wouldn't bother her.
Feic began to write:
Dear mother, dear father,
I have reached Camelone safe and sound...

"Bye," Becca said, barely able to hear herself. When Anyon left, she prayed. She hadn't prayed in a while, but now she needed to.
"Dear God," Becca began, "Please let Anyon be safe. I almost lost myself, and he saved me! I can't lose more people I care about! Please, just please!" When she finished, she walked to a near-by dress store, going to look for wedding gowns!

"God bless, my lieges." Jonathon muttered before leaving the room, his hand on his saber just in case. He walked down the halls, compiling the report in his head. The Celtists seemed, as it were, to have a fighting chance. They just needed a push in the right direction. He exited the castle, taking one last look at the scene the fighting had left, before hoofing it back to the embassy.

The embassy, luckily, had been unscathed by the fighting. He was halted at the door by two armed men, and made to show identification before he could enter, inspecting the people in the room. 8 Vaspai officers, 10 diplomats, the ambassador, and 10 staff members; everyone was safe and in check. "At ease." He called back to the officers at the door, who saluted, before entering the embassy, as everything went back to normal in the building.
"How's Frederick, is he alive?" Ila asked as she rejoined Jonathon, making their way toward the contact desk.
"Vaspai, search the office. Make sure there are no bugging devices." Jonathon commanded the officers.
"We have already taken the liberty of doing so, Diomosso, during the lock down. It's clean." One of the officers responded in native Sacheyenyani.
"Good man." Jonathon nodded. "Frederick is injured, but he's alive. They executed the captured enemy soldiers on the spot in the castle. I don't know how serious the Prince's injuries are, but he's alive as is. Found out the Pagan King's name. Warchief Udhir, they call him."

Jonathon sat down at a desk, and entered an encrypted frequency. This report would shirt tail Ila's report, so as to make it less suspicious, and was addressed to the king himself, though no one would know, even if they cracked the code.

Hey, baby.  Camelone is great, if a bit hectic.  There's a lot of fighting going down.  These guys, the Republicans, seem the most agressive, cause they attacked twice in one day.  But there are these other bunch of brutes, called the Celtists, led by some savage named Warchief Udhric.  His soldiers actually attacked the castle, and broke him out of jail.  He seems like an absolute fiend, and his ideas are so different from those of the Kriegers, it's worth looking into, I guess, to fully grasp their insanity.  I met an old college friend of yours, by the way.  William Unferth, he called himself?  I gave him your number, I hope you're not mad.  Seeya :)

The message, of course, was on a channel directed straight to the king himself, and used the code they had agreed upon that the king would understand. Kind Tal'eu responded in kind, giving the go ahead for Udhric to message him. Now, all that was left to do was wait for the contact to be made.

(OOC: Yeah let's repurpose the Signups.)
Outside there was some struggling but that soon ended after a couple seconds and footsteps could be heard running away "Get the monk he's running!" A mercenary yelled as more sets of feet could be heard chasing after the Brother.

Anyon was on a stretcher being led to a hospital as a an enemy soldier got a lucky shot and stabbed him in the shoulder and a bullet entered his left leg making it hard to walk but the worst wound was the gash on his head that happened because his head was slammed into a beam brutally. Krieger knights were securing the area and leading the column of wounded to the hospital.

After a couple of minutes a knock could be heard on the Sacheyenya embassy by two hooded men, one was definitely Warchief Udhir while the other was unknown but wore a pitch black military uniform and a saber hung by his side. As there was still some fighting in the streets soldiers paid the two hooded people very little attention and they waited for the door to be answered.

As soon as the fighting had once more neared the embassy, the Vaspai had taken defensive strongpoints throughout the embassy, though Jonathon had forbid them from blocking the doorway. As Udhric and his friend approached the doors, the Vaspai took aim, ready to fill the men with led. "Halt!" Came the command from the knight. "Hold fire. Edelwar, Hosuwa, let them in, secure the perimeter. No one gets in without I, the ambassador, or our cloaked comrade's permission." He said to the Vaspai nearest the door. The officers opened the doors for Udhric and his companion, stepping out as they stepped in, silenced pistols at the ready and prepared for anyone to attack the embassy.

"Hail, comrades. I trust the walk here was pleasant?" Jonathon joked, Ila walking up beside him. "Tell me, comrades, how do you like your tea? Or perhaps you'd prefer something stronger?" He stopped in his track then, bowing and remembering his manners, Ila following suite. She felt so odd, being led in the diplomatic process.

"Yes it is so good to finally walk around again. I must thank you again Raven for smuggling my warriors into the castle to free me. This man here is the Raven of Mistwoods the most notorious mercenary leader in all of Camelone and this side of the world, he commands the Black Heart Legion. I'll let him fill you in on that." Warchief Udhir said as he looked at the surrounding environment. Raven coughed a bit "Yes well how about listening to your friends Udhir? I would like some Green tea please and no alcohol I need to keep my wits." He said in a monotone voiced and sized up the soldiers in the room and Jonathon and Ila. "My my my, your soldiers don't look to threatening my Black Heart Legion could crush them into dust fairly easy. The weapons are inferior and the form is sloppy compared to my elite Legion. Have you heard of my elite Legion before?" He asked raising an eyebrow as he took a step in with Warchief Udhir following.

"Dia Sandra, delus ti, vra?" Jonathon turned to a nearby servant, who bowed with a quick 'ca', before leaving to fetch tea for the four. He smiled then, regarding the Raven. "You must forgive them. Understand, these fine young lads aren't the top of their academy, you understand, and with their first day being so hectic..." Jonathon shrugged then. "Few of them even speak English. You must forgive me as well, comrade, for I have not heard of your Legion. The Kriegers have done a good job at making sure what civil unrest occurred before our arrival has been well covered up. Come, come into the back room. You wish to speak with Lord Dyanu, yes? And on the way, you may tell me of your Legion."

Feic heard the calling and the footsteps, looking up from the letter she had begun to write - Poor Loinsigh..., she thought. He was an acquaintance, someone she could use, but nothing more.
Something happening to him would prove troublesome, but not overly so. Him making contact would be... interesting, to say the least. From the sounds of it, it could even be her foot in a good door. Limitless potential..., she thought, as she reached towards her ankle, where a throwing knife rested in the Bróg, the Geansai's shoe.
The little carbon fibre blade wasn't drawn until it was necessary, but it was there. And it was one of the things giving her safety.

Raven nodded in understanding of the soldiers, "I must be honest I'm the whole reason why most of this unrest has been occurring. I helped smuggle and arm the opposition forces against the Krieger regime." He said with a smile.

The footsteps faded away but soon came back "He got away sir." A voice said which was followed by shouting and belittling.

Becca cried really hard as she followed Anyon to the hospital. Even when people tried to tell Becca she couldn't go with Anyon, she went anyway. Becca sat with Anyon the rest of the night, and the entire time until Anyon was safe!

Her hand left her small knife as the woman had a new idea.
She put on a scowl as she, quite aggressively, pushed herself up, her pen still in hand as she went to her room's door. She still wore most of her outfit, skirt and holder and stockings, which some people might consider not enough, but for a Selkie, it was a tad bit informal, but enough.
Feic's hand grabbed the door's handle, pulled it down and tore the door open, before she poked her head out into the hallway, towards the main area of the inn. Her brow furrowed, as she called: "Are having a party over there? And if so, am I invited?"
It was a better way to get her foot in then none.

A small woman returned moments later, with four cups, designed abstractly but eloquently, and a teapot thatched together from river reeds, steam coming from the stout. She placed them in a row, filling them one by one with a gourmet Filipino green tea from Jonathon's personal collection without once raising the pot. "Tanga." Jonathon muttered as she left the pot for the four to refill their cups. She bowed, before leaving them to their business.

"Cheers." Jonathon raised the glass in a toast before taking a small sip. "I must say, I'm impressed. Being able to actually infiltrate the walls of the Tingstag, no matter how long it took, and escape with such a high profile target is absolutely impressive." Ila realized she had been holding the cup idly for some time, and it grew hot in her hand. She was at unease with the situation at hand, but kept to herself as she pressed it to her lips.
Jonathon's left hand tapped away at the computer beside him, accessing the secured line between the King and his spy. "Tell me, Mr. Raven, how long have you been fighting for? Do you serve from the front, or lead from the back, as it were to speak?"

A doctor walked over to Becca "You do know his wounds aren't that bad right? The worst thing he got was a cut on his head which is already healing." He said looking over Anyon.

A soldier with one eye scowled at Feic "Get out of here foreigner we have more important things to do." He said before turning back to the two soldiers but the Venatianian, who was standing near her door, said "Hello madam I would recommend going back to your room for your own protection. I don't want that pretty face of yours to get hurt... or dead." With a big grin but humorless eyes.

"Well I do aim to please, and having one of the largest IQ's plus much charisma certainly helps all my endeavors greatly. The Tingstag was incredibly hard to infiltrate but if you place the right people at the right points with the right money anything is possible." Raven said as he grabbed some tea and leaned back a bit and took a sip "I serve wherever I am needed but usually I use covert ops to get my operations done and I have been part of the mercenary/terrorist business since twenty years ago but I served in the Camelonean Brigade where I excelled as an officer and politician quickly gaining a high rank but lost it when I was deemed to brutal by those wussy socialists." He said waving his left hand dismissively "Now I have a question for both of you. I need someone to get close to the Crown Prince as he is the only member of the nobility I have little to no special information on as he just doesn't like interacting with people. So would either of you be willing to help get information for me please? He has to stay around you for diplomatic talks and having someone talk to him afterwards would help greatly to increase my information on him." Raven said with a smile though it was more directed at Ila. Udhir looked at Jonathon and said "I do think I need to talk to your king now so how do I do that from here?"

"Well, aren't you two charming little lads...?", Feic said and leaned against the frame of her door, folding both arms beneath her chest. Her smile was wide and mocking, openly and without trying to hide it. "I'm a Selkie, sweeties, I hear better threats to my physical integrety when I lie nacked at a beach back home."
Her mocking tone vanished, as she addressed them again, but her smile was still present, more honest this time. "Wanna come in and grab a drink?", she asked, "I have some really good stuff. Whisky from the Free Lands, you know."

My people are called the Selkie, the nation is usually called the Free Lands in MT-settings. Thanks.

"I'm sorry," Becca said, blushing, "I was just caught off guard when it happened, so I freaked out! I apologize! Should I just leave now then?"

The Venatianian shrugged "I'm still on duty so that's a no for me. I don't want the twenty lashes for drinking on the job or abandoning by post. The Hunters Pack can be fairly brutal against their troops. My buddy over there is off duty though maybe talk to him after he's done getting chewed out." After he said that one of the men was punched in the face as the angry Sergeant walked away. "That's him over there." He said pointing to the man on the ground in pain "He's lucky he got off easy."

"You can stay just don't clog up space. Junker Anyon has been through worse so this nothing for him." The doctor reassured Becca.
