Which meansit took her one or two seasons to get it offscreen, while these three still haven't got it after five. Babs Seed was a bitch who didn't deserve forgiveness or friendship, and she damn sure didn't deserve a Cutie Mark.

She was being bullied back home, and influenced by diamond tiara and silver spoon. People can become jerks because of bullying, and when I was being bullied years ago, I could be kind of an ass. Babs was a jerk, but her behavior is understandable, if not relatable.
Sure, it took her one or two seasons to get it off screen, but she is still around the age of the crusaders. In story, she's probably been trying to find her own cutie mark just as long as the CMC. She was being bullied in the first place because she didn't have a cutie mark, so she was probably working hard to get it too. She showed up in the first place to get away from her problems, they must have been hard on her.
We don't know what babs did to get her cutie mark, it could have been some kind of monumentally difficult task. Maybe she tried doing that special manestyling from that crystal empire games episode that has horrible audio quality on netflix?
And need I remind you of how some other characters got their cutie marks? Rainbow dash did something that was supposed to be a myth. Twilight had a massive magical surge. Applejack left home because "eh, wasn't feeling it." then remembered how much she liked home and returned. Poof, cutie mark. Sometimes cutie marks are big events, sometimes they are small events. The mere fact that all CMC members, babs and the other manehatten crusaders, have tried a ton of different things, which to their knowledge could be their talents, is astounding. They have a ton of perseverance to keep going in the face of all their failures, and down the line if none of them got a cutie mark, my reaction would be: "You know, It's amazing that out of every CMC member, and all the activities they tried, none of them ever happened to be a part of their talent. A bit unrealistic." Babs just happened to get luckily, potentially, or something else happened. Can you imagine how difficult scissors are to use with hoofs?
By the end of her original appearance, she reformed, and gave a nice bit of verbal ass kicking intimidation to diamond tiara and silver spoon.
Her next appearance in apple family reunion, she was good the entire time.
Didn't deserve forgiveness or friendship? ONE: Babs is still a kid. If it was an adult character acting like that, maybe be a little harsher on them, but seriously? Give the kid a break, I'm pretty sure all kids have done something pretty bad. And friendship? Everyone deserves a chance at friendship. My optimist shall not be silenced, everybody has some good inside them.
TWO: Treating a character poorly who has wronged all of one episode, with no indication given that she had acted like that before is just... no. Please don't do that. Even discord reformed, and he was a psychopathic tyrant that had to be frozen to stop him the first two times.
And in conclusion, the the subject of the CMC taking so long to get their cutie marks... cheese. Or wine. Eventually it will spoil, but if it happens soon it will be all the better. I hope it happens maybe in this season or next season, and potentially explores the friendship with the CMC past their crusading. Will they pass the clubhouse on to the next generation of crusaders? Who knows?

"Those who reached my boundary, their seed is not; their hearts and their souls are finished forever and ever. As for those who had assembled before them on the sea, the full flame was their front before the harbour mouths, and a wall of metal upon the shore surrounded them. They were dragged, overturned, and laid low upon the beach; slain and made heaps from stern to bow of their galleys, while all their things were cast upon the water." - Ramesses III., Battle of the Delta

Gonna stop you right there. I don't give a shit. When she got to town, AB and her friends were nothing but polite, welcoming and courteous. And how does Cunt Seed respond? By ditching them to hang out with two bitches. And spends the whole episode victimizing them. Fuck her. I have zero sympathy for that colossal twat.

Fair enough, I suppose we all have different opinions. I like characters partly because of the mistakes they make. Which is more interesting, a paladin that has never sinned or a paladin that fought to redeem himself? I'm not saying Babs is a super amazing hero to us all, but she does have potential.
And besides, being rude to the crusaders was it's own punishment. She didn't get to spend a time being friendly with awesome characters!

CMC centric episodes are very formulaic and tend to focus on one thing and one thing only, the cutie marks. While the show creator does explore this same issue in new and interesting way, it's still a bit tired out for my taste.
