Personally, I believe in some of the more likely JFK conspiracy theories (honestly, they're actually somewhat likely to be true), and the Ancient Aliens theory is... I'll say interesting, as there is significant evidence, although not enough to actually call definite ''proof" of anything. Also, I don't really think the Anti-Vaxxers (at least, not most of them) are conspiracy theorists... they're just stupid.

Evidence may have been a poor choice of words... I meant more that there are things, such as the Nazca Lines, similarity between various religions, startlingly advanced technology in ancient societies, etc. that makes it at least possible, although admittedly pretty unlikely.

I don't see how startingly advanced technology is a sign that Ancient Aliens helped. I think we just tend to not give enough credit to our forefathers.

You could probably make a legitimate case for this being true. Assuming the second Star, there's no reason that Sidious should've let the rebels get that far. The station itself was far more capable than anything the traitors were capable of fielding, and the Executor-class dreadnought alone was more than able of taking out an entire fleet of enemy ships. Also, considering that Sidious himself (canonically) survived the destruction of the death star, in a manner strikingly similar to Bane's destruction of the order of the Sith a thousand years earlier, you could definitely make the case that Sidious planned its destruction.

But yeah, the vid is actually pretty funny, especially the part about this huge temple in Lebanon. There's a stone which the show claims is a landing pad for aliens. The conclusion he comes to, based on what he has found in looking it up: it is a retaining wall. The whole Ancient Aliens story really begins to fall apart when he is on the first one (what the Ancient Aliens show calls the "best piece of evidence", and thus the one he goes after first). It really is good. It started weirding me out when he got to the episodes dealing with Biblical and religious stuff, because I got the feeling he was some weird religious thing; however, even then, the information was still alright (mostly stuff like explaining what is happening in the religious context, and the obligatory "if a well-educating man saw a complicated alien machine in front of him, he would probably not describe it as 'a chariot'."

He refused to teach us about the Space Race and moon landing, since he believes that it is a "hoax shoved down our throats by the government." For two class periods, I tried to convince him that this wasn't the case. The dude is a god damn history teacher, and he believes in such wonky nonsense.

My history teacher pretends to believe it as a joke, if that is any consolation. He starts off talking about the space race with a powerpoint about all the "evidence" for it being a hoax, then takes a poll of the class, then the next slides debunk the conspiracy theory. Just to make some high school students look stupid. Fuckin' A.

A) FDR caused the Great Depression.
B) It was ended by WWII, which we entered after it ended... somehow.

I know he's a conspiracy theorist, although I don't know if those are the only theories he has, since I've never actually had his class.
