Half-Moon Stadium in Boswijck is the national stadium of Nouvelle-Angouleme, home of its national association and community football teams, as well as national competitions in both sports as well as lacrosse, rugby, and other amateur sports. The stadium can be aligned for either sport, with the transition taking less than a day. Constructed in 1964, it can house up to 60,372 for association football games.

Series B Champions Cup 55: The Klyde Sportsplex, Klyde (capacity 83,930)
The Klyde Sportsplex is a multi-sport stadium in Klyde City, North Klyde Fief, Cosumar. At the time it was built (year 988 of the Cosumarite calendar, twelve years ago), it was regarded as one of the most versatile venues in the world in terms of the number of events and sports it can host. A little over a decade later, it still remains one of the finest stadiums in Atlantian Oceania. When used for football, the Sportsplex can be expanded to seat as many as 83,930. It has successfully hosted many of the top sporting events in Cosumar such as the Cosumar Cup Final and the CFL Dragon Bowl. Its regular tennants are Klyde FC (a frequent UICA club), the Klyde Cyclones (american football) and the Klyde Guardians (lacrosse). The Sportsplex is now looking to host its first UICA event, having placed second in the bidding process twice before. The stadium is situated adjacent to the scenic Klyde Bay - giving fans a fantastic view of the port and ocean beyond. The City of Klyde itself is one of Cosumar's major hubs with a rich urban culture and vibrant arts and music scene. From the pristine beaches to the world-class symphony halls, there are opportunities aplenty for tourists of all tastes. The stadium itself is impossible to miss and is famous for its excellent parking and transportation. One can even arrive via a boat ride from the Marina. A final reminder also that all Rushmori nations only (including any and all puppets) will be able to submit their league champions only (or top ranked team in the event of multi-associational leagues of more than one Rushmori nation) for entry into the next CdC; this includes puppet leagues that don't submit to UICA. The submission period opened when Commerce Heights closed entries to the last UICA tournaments, and will close again when Commerce Heights closes entries to the next UICA tournaments. No invitations will be sent. You must indicate at the bottom of your league summary that you wish your league champion to take part, and I take no responsibility for missing it if you've only shown it in your table.

Globe Cup: Setoydyuma'shu Lobyuseistvooshu, Tobyumosyu, Stvoto Latoli (capacity 86,000)
A towering granite behemoth in the middle of Tobyumosyu (the formal name for Stvoto Latoli City, the floating raft city that constitutes the capital of the nation), the Setoydyuma'shu Lobyuseistvooshu existed a considerable time before the introduction of football to the Maritime Empire. A symbol of the Lobyuseistvooshu District's relative opulence, the structure was finished roughly 300 years ago (historians estimate it took about 100 years to build). Made of granite obviously taken from land (though nobody is quite sure where), the stadium's material was likely seized by Stvoto Latolisi raiders from a helpless, underdeveloped civilization. The design is circular and its stands are quite steep. There are four tiers inside the stadium - for a long time two of them were terraces and had no seats but that was altered when Stvoto Latoli began participating in international sport competitions. The most striking feature of the stadium, however, has lent it its unofficial nickname among Tobyumosyu residents: the Caveman's Arch. Lengthwise across the middle of the stadium, a tremendous (and incredibly heavy) stone arch, obviously a natural formation taken from land, has been affixed to the circular monster. It remains a complete mystery how the early Stvoto Latolisis managed to move the thing; it surely weighs a hundred tons or more. In the modern era, state-of-the-art seating, luxury boxes, concession areas, and dressing rooms have been added to the ancient stadium. Its massive capacity makes it an ideal candidate to host international football events such as the Globe Cup Final.

Series B Champions’ Cup: Avazhughij Arena, Pkethat Šede, Pazhujeb Islands (capacity 47,000)
A rather new city that has only sprung up in the last few decades because of overpopulation in other parts of the Pazhujebs, Pkethat Šede is located on Šede Island, which was for years left uninhabited because of its mysterious purple-and-green-tinted jungle. Legend holds that spirits reside there. If you’re ballsy enough to venture south from the city into the overgrowth, you’re bound to see Avazhughij Arena, home of Šede Island Shadows (who were just recently relegated from the Stvoto Latolisi top flight and will next season be aiming to play in the SBCC themselves). It almost looks simply like a huge glass wall, as only one stand is visible from beneath the cover of leaves and violet Šede fruit blossoms. In fact, most of the stadium is made of glass (with copper framework), and spectators close enough to the park can in certain places see inside the stadium from outside it. The decision by designers to incorporate glass into the architecture was likely because of the very hot and humid climate in the area. In fact, here's a tip, don’t turn up on Šede Island wearing anything more than a T-shirt; it gets so hot here that you might very well melt. You may also not want to turn up wearing anything chartreuse: that color is what inmates' uniforms are made in across the Maritime Empire, and on Šede Island, not far from its eponymous largest city, there is a huge prison. If guards see in you and you're wearing yellowish green, they may shoot you on sight.

Xylocarp Smashers Executed For Last-Place Finish As Part of New Initiative

Lord Almighty Gregory has announced that the Xylocarp Smashers soccer team has been executed for what he is referring to as a new "Last-Place Aversion Initiative." The last-place team in the second division will be executed following the season and replaced by a new team. The new team will join the Gregoryisgodistan Soccer World beginning with the Cup. The Cup will follow league play. The new team will also take part in the following season's Second Division, and the cycle will repeat.

The exception, since this year's Cup has already been held, is that this new team will begin play in next season's league. The coach had not determined a name yet, and wrote "To Be Determined" where it said "name" on the sheet, but they were then required to use that name. Accordingly, To Be Determined will be the sixteenth team in GSL Division 2 next season. They hope not to be executed.

The entire Xylocarp Smashers team, meanwhile, has been executed along with their families. First, their bodies were slowly sliced. Then they were beheaded while still alive. Then the heads were made into bombs and used to blow up the family home with the family chained inside. They're all dead. Some of them howled in pain or begged for mercy, but they received none. This is what you get for losing. Deal with it. You pay for your sins with your life, for that is the way of the Lord.

FLICK JOSTLE FOOTBALL LEAGUE, SEASON 0001

The first edition of the Flick Jostle Football League (FJFL). An Apertura and Clausura style league, with leagues calculated in order of Wins, Draws, and Goal Difference. There are only 6 teams to begin with, 2 from the capital Marsing.

At the end of each section, a championship playoff is played involving all teams of the league. It starts with 5th vs 6th, then the winner advances to play the team who finished 4th, then winner advances to play the team who finished 3rd, and so on until the a winner is decided in the final game.

Once a winner is decided in each Apertura and Clausura, the two winners play each other in the Ultimate Final to determine the national champions.

Halfway through, Archbishop was out in front, just ahead of Portus and Newfield, having split their two games against those foes. Newfield had defeated Portus 2-0 and dropped their game against Archbishop. Sitting four points clear in that last Globe Cup spot while having only allowed six goals was Bridgewall City. Though Sanctuary FC's Yttribian acquisition Daniel Celestino had eight of the team's nineteen goals, the team had been unable to beat anyone ahead of them and ended the first half on an 0-1-2 streak that included losses to 8th place Heartwood and 10th place Castellum. Labrador United was sitting in a surprising sixth place, while Heartwood's new striker Freddy Lincoln had underperformed, scoring only four goals to this point, a big reason they were in eighth place. Meanwhile, Lumberjacks and Sept-Iles were the league's punching bags, with a meager 14 points from 24 games combined. What would the second half hold?

The answer? A miraculous 11-1-0 second-half run from Newfield to take the title, their fifth in six years. In fact, following a MD14 draw against FC St. Martin, they won their last eleven games, putting paid to Portus and Archbishop 1-0 and 4-2, respectively. New Cosumarian defender Christian Gjallskald helped them to allow just eight goals in twelve matches, shoring up a back line that had been a point of concern in the offseason. Portus wasn't too shabby in the second half either, going 9-1-2 while allowing a staggeringly low three goals. A MD23 loss to Heartwood might have shattered their title hopes, as they fell six points back with three games to play. As it is, they will make their fourth consecutive Globe Cup appearance, while 33-year old keeper Gerard Davidson may be drawing some late national team attention for his best performance yet. As for Archbishop, this collapse was disastrous, as a 3-4-5 finish combined with Newfield and Portus' season-ending surge left them scrambling for a Globe Cup position. They had earned just ten points from eleven games going into the last game of the season against Heartwood, trailing the men of Eboracum by one point while Bridgewall threatened at two points back of them with an easy final matchup against 11th place Labrador. But Axel Svenßon and Archbishop were up to the challenge, thrashing Heartwood behind a hat trick from the Felixian striker and finishing in third place. Heartwood, which had gotten fourteen goals from Greater Watford's Freddy Lincoln after a disappointing first half performance, will make their first Globe Cup appearance and bring some happiness to the long-suffering city of Eboracum.

Sanctuary got nine second-half goals from Daniel Celestino, but they dropped games to declining Springs and weak Isca Town, and were beaten soundly by Heartwood in a head-to-head matchup that could have given them a Globe Cup spot. As it is, the boys from Rutupiae will have to wait another year. Labrador sunk down to 11th, more indicative of their form, while Sept-Iles avoided relegation by earning seven second-half draws despite just one win. Lumberjacks did not win a single game in the second half, and got just four points from twelve games. Their last-place finish is a consequence of finishing second on several offseason player pursuits, and as such, they were unprepared for the vicissitudes of the Sovereign Division season. This yo-yo club will try again next year.

County's trying to get back to the top flight, and they've played quite well so far, holding a one-point lead over Vinovium and Mineurs, though they lost their first half games to both clubs. Vinovium narrowly missed out on promotion last year and is pushing hard this year behind a strong attack. On the other end of the spectrum, Mineurs have allowed just one goal in eleven games, a 1-0 loss to Vinovium. Their back line has been fantastic so far and will be key down the stretch. In fourth place is Fishermans' FC. If they can hold that position, it would be their first SBCC and could be the key for this perennially poor club to spend some money and get serious. But the big story has to be City in sixth place, just two points out of the last SBCC spot. City is never this good, and when their only significant offseason addition was a free transfer from The Sarian, Michael Little, it is especially surprising. Let's see if they can keep it up.

County duplicated their strong first half performance, but it wasn't enough, as Vinovium finished 8-3-1 and stole the championship right out from under their noses. On the final matchday, County had a one point lead and a tough matchup against third-place Mineurs, who had only allowed four second half goals. Vinovium, on the other hand, drew a last-place First Nations side and crushed them 3-0 while County managed only two shots on goal in a 1-0 loss to Mineurs. They saw promotion slip away right in front of them, with Mineurs playing spoiler despite having locked up an SBCC spot and having no chance at promotion. Meanwhile, City have done it! They qualified for the SBCC despite losing to Comrades (rather badly) on the last day of the competition, though their 4-3-4 finish means that they sort of backed into the spot. Mediocrity reigned in the league besides the SBCC qualifiers, as only eleven points separated the other eight teams in the Yeoman Division. Fishermans' was especially disappointing, stumbling to a 2-4-6 finish and having to settle for sixth place. Acadia took a tumble after qualifying for the SBCC last year. Jacques Baptiste, son of Raphael, had an impressive eight goals for a nineteen year old, but Acadia only mustered fourteen on the season.

Upsets were the order of the day in this edition of the Nova Anglican Cup, as we saw four Yeoman Division Clubs and two Third Division Clubs in the Round of 16, with two Yeoman Division clubs advancing to the final eight. Notable upset victims included Heartwood (on away goals) to Miramichi Caledonians in the Second Round, Olympique falling to Homesteaders in the Second Round as well, Artisans over Lumberjacks in the Second Round, and perhaps the most surprising of all, FC Portus, the second-place Sovereign Division team, falling to the Maritime League's fifth-place club in Saint Stephen. Springs was taken down to the wire by County before defeating them in PKs, while Archbishop needed AET to defeat Bridgewall City in the quarters. For Springs, a semifinal finish is a good way to make up for a disappointing regular season. Sanctuary went into Newfield's house in the semis and beat them 2-0 behind Daniel Celestino, then earned a draw at home to make it into the Cup final. Celestino had two more goals in the final, but Sanctuary could only manage a draw at home after losing away in the first leg. Sanctuary endured the most disappointing season this year, barely missing out on the Globe Cup and coming so close in the Cup final. But they debuted in the quarters, made it to the semis last year, and made it to the finals this year, so logically they will win the Cup next year. If only things worked that way.

Kelly Park is the home of Londinium's Archbishop FC, a perennial Globe Cup contender and one-time Champions' Cup participant. It has hosted numerous Globe and Champions' Cup games, as well as many World Cup qualifiers and an international rugby sevens tournament. Preview
Louargat's surprise title ahead of Rennes last season was of great shock to many across the land and the question on everyone's lips as season six prepared to kick off was could the Montagnards do it again? Season five also saw Kernansquillec City relegated after a shocking season leaving the First Division without a single team based in the capital for the first time ever. With last season also seeing Guingamp missing out on UICA football for the first time since the beginning of the refounded First Division, season five has so far been the most prosperous season for upsets. Will the sixth edition of Kernansquillec's premier football competition better it?

What is sure, is that the stakes will be much higher. With the Kernansquillecan FA now ranked 26th by the UICA an additional place has to been given to the First Division for the Champions' Cup, meaning that the top five teams in the division will now qualify for UICA football, in other words half the division! Pressure is now mounting on the KERFA to modify the league structure which is now being seen as a potential brake on Kernansquillec's rise in the international footballing scene. Proposals for two twelve team divisions are understood to be on the table as a well as a radical proposal to create two or three twenty team divisions. Doubts remain over Kernansquillec's footballing infrastructure to be able to maintain a competitive structure with such a rapid expansion. However, sources inside the KERFA has stated that reforms are likely to take place by the start of season nine, if not earlier, with a progressive opening up of the league system over several seasons the most probable outcome.

With top flight football set to abandon the capital for the second season running Kernansquillec City officials are desperate to rekindle the footballing spirit of the capital which has taken somewhat of a bashing with the Capitalists' relegation and playoff defeat. While the football gracing its pitch may not have been up to scratch, the stadium itself is world class. Renovation works finished just 11 years ago with the stadium built on the same site as it's ancestor which was built in 1888, soon to be 200 years ago. Access to the ground is easy for international visitors, with the international airport linked to the ground via the underground. The capital's facilities have proved to be capable of hosting such important sporting events, with the recent Copa Rushmori as well as Series B Champions' Cup 53 and Youth Cup 8 finals being hosted at the nearby National Stadium.

Gu Zhahogowdoo 4012 Season Preview

We here at the Tazi’shu Stvoto Latolisi Balomobi are thrilled to announce the imminent beginning of the 4012 year of play in Stvoto Latolisi football! There are brown and gold flags waving in the Tobyumosyu streets near Air Force Headquarters, a tower block near the city center of Caisleán Luaith is lit up all in orange, and even though his beloved club Therakham is still in League 1, famous Pazhujebi crooner Aquillius Razava took the stage for his Saturday night concert dressed in blue and black. Let's not waste a second more and get right to our preseason analysis!

What a year it was for the Fahan Sunbirds this last season, eh? Not only did they shock Brewers and Vezhidrupa by winning the championship, they dominated the first half of the season and dared anybody to pass them in the table. No one could. Stvoto Latolisi boss Mezhergoy Serthidi has always had a good reputation, but his club were simply sublime and he has to take the credit, not only for the efficiency and economy of his transfers but for his tactical vision as well. But the honeymoon might be well and truly over for the Reds - critical assist-provider Tamyutowdazhu Doyzowbugima has retired a champion, but his club have to find a way to replace him. And that's not the last of it, not even close: last year's Player of the Year and Golden Boot winner Nataliaja Irmedheghi has moved to national juggernaut Brewers in a record-shattering transfer. Powerful target man Tastvu Zhooheizhyu is still around, and the promising young centre half Vigean O'Blighe comes in from Gerthamasa Boyseh, but Sunbirds must be seen as rank outsiders to repeat.

As for the destination club of Ms. Irmedheghi, Brewers, Wahib al Khlaiwi managed to wrestle his job from the clutches of the abyss by turning around a club that for the first half of 4011 looked dead in the water. At certain points in April and May, it looked as though the Chartreuse-Oranges might finish outside the top four in their pool, which would have meant no international competition. They roared back to life in the fall, however, and ultimately finished second in the league. This was enough to save the manager's butt, but both fans and ownership have come to expect only titles since Brewers' thundering championship back in 4007. So in comes the league's best player, alongside a few great youngsters and a former national team midfielder in Jabbar al Amri, acquired via a straight swap with Cóiméid that sent superstar (but 35-year-old) fullback Zhiqi’savedhi Medhazhinanju to Teach Iarann.

Cóiméid, meanwhile, were lackluster in Gu Zhahogowdoo's losing pool, finishing third when by all accounts they should have won the group. The Comets were forced to watch their archrivals Sunbirds run away with the title, ultimately losing their Schveningen Phase tie to the Reds in a match that clinched the league's highest honor for their old enemies. In the end they were happy to see their manager Zhitowstvoy Yulethow poached away by Vezhidrupa - they might have sacked him if he hadn't left. Instead they'll be starting fresh, a national team fixture playing on the left side of their formation. Their promising young strike partnership of Fearghal Quilligan and Gibimizhoy Shoodow gives them an even cause for optimism, and their new manager (purchased away from last season's third place outfit Lobyuseistvooshu) has promised a more attacking style.

In the camp of the Pazhujeb Islands' only truly competitive club, Vezhidrupa, winning their pool was not enough for fans. The All-Whites were almost entirely responsible for cocking up Pool 2's chances in the Schveningen, and as everybody suspected, the contract of Goomergoloobu Truzhoobyu (one of the league's youngest head coaches) was terminated. Despite being regarded as one of the great defensive minds in the game, he simply looked to have lost the plot as summer ended and fall began. There is no shortage of talent in North Mahathu, however, and new boss Yulethow has pledged that he will improve the 4006 Zhahogowdoo winners. While Vezhidrupa were not active in this transfer window, they are perfectly poised to rebound. Their squad has an average age of 28, a fiery youngster playing at striker in Abu Bakr Linnegan, and the top flight's best goalkeeper by some distance, the towering and charismatic Shyusoolootru Lyu.

Finally, Lobyuseistvooshu remain Gu Zhahogowdoo's powderkeg of potential, and everybody recognize it. The Red, Gray, and Chartreuse were inactive in the last window, but they didn't need to be. Their most recent manager, Tugeistvostvoy Tyuhowtroy, who built the team, has moved on, but the promising young tactician Rumazhith Vhumi arrives in Tobyumosyu to take the squad to the next level. Usama O'Bearga, around whom the side is built, continues to develop into the league's premier right winger, and will provide a litany of assists for his teammates. It's been said for years now, but it remains true: Lobyu are a dark horse to win the championship. One of these years they'll do it, at last winning a title for a Stvoto Latolisi side and ending the dominance of the vassal states.

Finally, an administrative note. This will be the last year in which the Schveningen format will be used. Yes, tears! We are sad too. But the excessively complex nature of the tournament, as well as potential lack of fairness and over-importance of the draw has ultimately done it in. Gu Zhahogowdoo contains fourteen teams at the moment, but will expand to sixteen in 4013 and will convert to a straightforward single-phase home-and-away league. (League 1's equally complicated McIntyre playoff structure will remain, however, and neither will there be any alterations to Gu Zizhedoshoy, the nation's cup competition.)

An old, intimidating stadium, with much of the stonework foundations of the stands still visible, the Gauntlet never looks right unless it's packed with fans in white and red. Which, to be fair, it always is. Presided over several matches in the Campionato Esportiva 11, including a quarterfinal.

Soccer League X shrunk to ten teams after Season 18 was canceled. Seven of the other teams (including the Port Chester Ladybugs) took advantage of a corporate offer to create a second-tier soccer league in 95X when they signed an agreement to sponsor Soccer League X, and the XTE B League commenced. XTE is a 95X-based cell phone manufacturer. Several teams throughout both leagues changed their nicknames to match models of phones made by the company.

95X (NFX) Final Site Bids

Champions Cup: Cascadia Bank Stadium (100,000), Cascadia, 95X

This state-of-the-art facility is the home stadium of SC Cascadia, and hosted the Tenth Atlantian Oceania Champions League Final. Built specifically with soccer/association football in mind, care was taken so a fan in the cheap seats could still comfortably see the action (they're still going to want binoculars though). Amenities include a full UICA-specification soccer-specific upgraded pitch, luxury seating for affluent attendees, full-service food and non-alcoholic beverage service (sorry, 95X law prohibits the other type of beverage from being served at sporting events), secure wireless internet access, world-class team support facilities, and ample space for media professionals.

Globe Cup: Cascade Dome, (66,000), Cascadia, 95X

The home of the Cascadia Seafox, and former home of SC Cascadia, the Cascade Dome is a fully enclosed world-class domed stadium with all the amenities one would expect from such a facility. Three levels of seating: premium, standard, and economy, offer something for budget-minded fans and those looking for a pampered night out on the town alike.

About Cascadia, 95X (for consideration for the Champions Cup and Globe Cup bids):
Practically every service imaginable is available in Cascadia, the largest 95X megacity of 65 million, and home to the country's largest soccer fan base. Located on the southern tip of Cascade Island (see map above), Cascadia is the most diverse 95X city due to its large sea port and proximity to lands that have held less stable countries. Cascadia is home to two Soccer League X teams; the overall island hosts six of the ten current Soccer League X clubs (SC Cascadia, Cascadia Seafox, Mount Barry Altitude, SC Oceanside, Spatula City Utensils, Twentytwo Cacti). Cascadia is served by Cascadia Airport (international flights only), ferry service to mainland 95X, YellowBus and rail service to other cities on Cascade Island, and locally served by the all-encompassing Cascadia Transit ("CTRAN") public transportation system. Handling additional traffic will be a breeze as it is a felony in 95X to operate a privately-owned vehicle with a single occupant, hence traffic congestion is unheard of. The newest venue in Soccer League X, "the House that Xi Foureleven Built" is where thousands gather eighteen times a year to watch SC Oceanside, Xi Foureleven, or both. The outdoor stadium boasts a widescreen videoboard and is considered one of the most technologically advanced soccer stadiums outside of Cascadia itself. Despite being a smaller town of three million, Oceanside is a favorite and friendly destination for getting things done and enjoying the rest of one's time on the beach or in a coffee shop, watching the world go by.

2018 Federation Cup and Federation Shield

In true Omerican sport tradition, the season kicked off with Omerica’s super cup: the Omerican Clean Water Foundation Shield or, more simply, the Champions’ Shield. With United Philibiscostal accomplishing the double in 2017, the runners-up of the Lega Premiere, renamed the Primerliig for unexplained reasons, Ticomaça Nacional attained a place in the Shield.

Despite enjoying home pitch advantage for their double, Les Pirates fell in an ominous sign of things to come, as the guests thrashed Philbiscostal after a 17th minute penalty later found to be mistakenly given was put in by Jean-Pierre Amour. Nacional struck back before the half, with Nikläs Älbretchsson heading in a goal off a Lucca Marini corner and took the lead soon after the game restarted after Marini himself volleyed past the Philibiscostal defence. The Philibiscostal charge, led by Stéphane Delacroix, nearly equalised in the 50th but for an offside flag going up as Delacroix put the ball past Intan Petera. Two more goals by Älbretchsson and Tobias Wilmer ensured a Shield win for Ticomaça and gave the club needed momentum heading into the season.

Early in the season, Ticomaça repeated the magic by netting a Federation Shield and Omerica’s Cygnus Cup berth, conquering surprise finalists FC Kingsmouth to claim the trophy. League champions United Philibiscostal shamedly bowed out in a 1-0 away defeat to Sekundliig side Langholm Oak, while holders FC Nassau came close to embarrassment by nearly falling out to lower-tier sides before crashing out to eventual champions Nacional in the semifinals.

FC Kingsmouth saw the runners-up curse continue as the Federation Cup nearly came into their grasp. FC Lamalas survived their opening tie in the Cup for the first time, defeating Dancrest City away, before falling to Inter Bayoneta in the Round of 32. Shield winners Ticomaça Nacional fell out against Appleban FC after a penalty shoot-out decided a scoreless Round of 32 match, while United Philibiscostal defeated rivals Royal Martecabras to gain revenge for their defeat in the two shields. Appleban continued their "giant-killer" streak through the next two rounds, taking out top flight sides Royal Michaeltown and Ballonpèt Secomina. Two close semifinals gave Federation Shield finalists Kingsmouth a berth over FC Nassau, while Les Pirates took out the giant-killers to produce an all-Philibiscostal tie in the capital Georgetown, taken by United over Kingsmouth to produce a rematch of the Champions’ Shield in the season-end President’s Vase.

The game between the cup winners gave a dose of revenge to the Shield champions Nacional, with United Philibiscostal claiming a CEdC berth alongside their Globe Cup spot and Federation Cup repeat. United went up in the 17th minute after Stéphane Delacroix headed in a free kick from national captain Yves Bercée, but quickly found themselves level with the hosts after Lucca Marini punted in a rightly-called penalty in the 21st. Going into the second-half drawn, Nacional took the lead on a Marini corner, but likewise found themselves level soon after after Bercée volleyed past the Nacional defence. The last few minutes proved critical, with a brash attack by the visitors nearly succeeded but for Intan Petera’s hand deflecting the ball behind the goal line for a corner, taken by Delacroix and Thomas Castille to give Les Pirates the last laugh of the season.

Primerliig 2018

FC Kingsmouth have become the poster-children of "almost" in this year’s Primerliig, nearly eclipsing Corona Christiana, who had held the top spot up until Kingsmouth surpassed them in Week 19. Kingsmouth couldn’t keep up the momentum, however, and were eclipsed by La Corona, who claimed the Omerican title on goal difference after defeating United Philibiscostal in the season’s final game, the capstone in an awful return phase for the defending league champions. In a promising third at the halfway mark, a mediocre back half took out Philibiscostal’s dreams of returning to the Champions’ Cup, forcing them to settle for the Globe Cup on the laurels of their successful Federation Cup defence. Ticomaça Nacional, the winners of the Federation Shield, fared little better, flirting with relegation at several points in the season and missing out on a coveted UICA berth. Uniti Takatori returned to form, rocketing back to fourth in the top flight, while the Black Dragons of Royal Michaeltown clinched a berth in the Globe Cup play-offs.

The Försteliig also saw a tight-fought competition, with the lead changing hands four times over the course of the season. Ashley Mariners started off on top, but took a deep tumble in the second half of the season, nearly falling all the way to the drop zone. Eventual league champions and Federation Cup semifinalists Appleban FC couldn’t break the top two until the return phase got underway and faced fierce challenges from Inter Bayoneta, Sassari Trailblazers, FC Lamalas and FC Londonderry to claim the title and automatic promotion spot to the Primerliig, while Li Pescadori’s mediocre season caught up with them and sent them down to the Sekundliig.

Has anybody heard of FC Maydale? Shockingly enough, despite the team's consecutive SBCC qualifications and this year's League-B champion, no. Still, their home stadium in Kenneth T. Milton Park, situated on the banks of the Ryu River in south Super-Llamaland, boasts fine infrastructure and is trying to increase their capacity to over eighty thousand to better host the UICA.

GLOBE CUP - Schunemann Pitch, Emerald Springs (cap. 65,000)

Arguably the finest stadium in Oceanside, Schunemann Pitch, built in 1999 and honoring Revolutionary General David Schunemann, who lead the armies that seized control of Emerald Springs from the Granveir dictatorship, Schunemann Pitch is home to FC Emerald Springs, a fine team in the north-center of Super-Llamaland. Known for its brilliant green decking, built to catch the light, "The S", as it's colloquially known, is synonymous with good football. Still fairly young and seating fifty-five thousand, Schunemann hopes to showcase the beautiful architecture and natural attractions of Emerald Springs through their UICA bid.

SERIES B CHAMPION'S CUP - Centennial Pitch, Vargas (cap. 71,000)

Centennial Pitch, constructed in Vargas in 2012 - just three years ago - to celebrate Super-Llamaland's 100th anniversary as a republic, is home to FC Vargas, one of the best teams in all of Llamanea. Even larger than Arthur C. Clarke, but with a solid retractable dome instead of the flashy glass bridge, the Centennial is known for its unique atmosphere and a multitude fan opportunities to meet players and more. In the beautiful western foothills of Vargas, roughly 125 miles from the capital of New Llama, fans from all over the city flock to see their hometown team win. After a failed bid for the Globe Cup, one of the finest stadia in Super-Llamaland looks to a more modest stage in an attempt to host an UICA event.
