Title of the thread is... odd.

I consider myself theistic. We believe in a God, just not sure which one. Different from agnosticism in which we accept a reality in which God exists, where as agnosticism could go both ways (Nothing wrong with that, either.)

Actually, that's what Theism means to me. I recall it pertaining to a bunch of different religions. If so, please don't let this post mislead you.

Edit: Also, anybody notice how few Hindus we have up here?

Well, what do you believe, as a Unitarian Universalist? (Just curious.)

Well, the part of Unitarian Universalism that I like is a series of guidelines that add up to 'Try not to be dicks to each other, don't force your beliefs upon others, and try to respect any honest and sincere search for meaning so long as no one is harmed in the process".

My personal beliefs are panentheistic and transcendentalist in nature.

My modern inspirations are from the Discordians and the Church Of The SubGenius.

I find many Atheists on the internet. I just don't see how you don't believe in anything. What do you think happens when you die? Personally my family is Christian, but I really don't know what religion I am. I find myself disagreeing with some christian beliefs. Such as homosexuality, death, and more. I believe in reincarnation and God isn't this strict man that says you must follow these 10 major rules or you will burn in hell. I believe he accepts homosexuals and reincarnates people or send them to heaven or hell. I think those who have committed true acts of sin such as, murder, rape, racists, etc, with be sent to hell. Sort of like Hinduism but not.

I won't claim to speak for atheists, but I believe that the thought is that when you die, your consciousness simply ceases to exist. It's not such a horrible idea.

Exactly. It's lack of belief. You can't believe in nothing if there's nothing to begin with in your own views and beliefs.

What do you think happens when you die?

Reincarnation for my own personal views.

Agnosticism is often a position on whether knowledge such is possible, rather than "going either way" on belief.

From a completely scientific and philosophical standpoint, I am an agnostic. There is enough evidence to confirm or deny the existence of supernatural beings. "Holy texts" like the Bible (all bibles), Koran, etc, as well as anecdotes are not anymore convincing than a fad diet/workout from some steroid laden bodybuilder selling "secrets for becoming lean and ripped in 6 hours". However, being that religion is not a family tradition, I am not entirely angry and cynical about it's existence, leaving me a possibility to be "spiritual". While I completely reject the sacred vs. evil, world vs. god basis of monotheism, I absorb the polytheistic religion's values much more so. Everything in this world is sacred, and everything has spiritual value. I quite like the idea of Norse Polytheism in particular as there are gods in which people can identify with, extremely well... I identify with Thor mostly. Also, Valhalla sounds freaking amazing and I identify with the Vikings a lot. I long so much to go to Upsala, where the Thing was at. Sweden would be so expensive as an American... That'd be a long flight as well. Luckily I live in sensible state where I'm not surrounded by intolerance, I would die inside if I were in the American south. I contemplate moving to Norway or Finland sometimes, I like the long words, Umlauts and Crossed o's.
Anyways...
While I long for such a meta physical as described above, I do not hold my grains of salt in favor... Probably won't happen. Could though. More likely... My consciousness will fade to nothing. Sad but true.
I rest my case...

I honestly don't really know, I somwhat consider myself a LaVeyan Satanist/Athiest but I do agree with alot of Paganistic morals and fortitudes but I really honestly agree with LaVeyan Satanism and its Self Empowerment Values, - I am my own god however, Obviously I see Evolution etc as FACT so I guess shove me in the Agnostic/Athiest shelf but I do identify as a LaVeyan, or Simply Satanist, so *Shrug* I dunno

No, it's not. Our bodies are broken down to base nutrients which are in turn recycled and used by Mother Earth. I'm okay with that, at least in death I can be useful to our one and only planet.
