That girl has not seen the light, a new idea spreading is that sentient demons can be 're-educated' to see the light, this following the obviously free thinking type that seem to find their way into Elend. Your statues will be pulled down, and eventually replaced with those of Krieger, your garden shall be burned, for it is a sign of weakness to have food artificially growing in the desert.

There is an East-West land route that runs through my mountains, that I have opened to foreign merchants. But I suppose that won't be of much use to you.

No, it'll be good. I imagine 2 major east-west routes will open; one across your mountains and across the central blob of civilisations, and one that goes south from that blow round through the seas to Elderia. While we'd prefer the maritime one, we're still positioned well enough to have contact with the other though.

You could have a road going across the south of the continent, across the sea, which went op the River Landras in Bavras, until the river-going vessels could go no further, from which it could go north by land into the Dwarven mountains. A quite safe route, very fast due to river trade, very profitable because of mines. A great South-North route, perhaps.

There will be care, great hospitals to take care of your soldiers when they succumb to starvation, great shame to the Rohlings as their great warriors are cared for by mice. And you will beg for death before they are set free.

The Rohling will first feast upon the corpses of captured demons than admit defeat! They look animalistic enough to eat.

EDIT: besides, this is not a full campaign army, just a small one meanest to scout the land and find demons. A full campaign army would be better equipped for a journey into those lands.

Hmm, yeah, trade won't necessarily fall on an east-west axis. Could everybody post what trade resources they have? I'll put it on a map to estimate what sort of trade would occur. Just say that you have none if you don't really have any.

I myself have a whole range of processed/refined goods, particularly ships, and minor surpluses of vegetables, fruits, dyes, grain, fish, wood and metals like iron, copper and tin. Those are all quite small though; the largest growing industry is by far manufacture of stuff.

For trade goods: Being a desert people, there is little in the way of plant life in Bavras, which puts a strain on possible trade resources. The main trade items would be:

Silk, cotton, stone (granite, sandstone, marble) as well as sculpted stone (blocks, statues, depictions, art), leather, cheeses, paper and books. Notomys are quite the keepers of history. I can imagine gifted sculptors of the Notomys would travel far and wide across the world to serve at the courts of nobles, as well as in cities to make some coin. Notomys immigrants, perhaps. Our world should begin to mingle more, eventually.

Yeah, I felt like the Marro Swarm was going to have a very important impact on the world, like the Orcs of LotR, being the enemy that unites all the different races in a coalition. We need something to fill that void, lest we have no overarching story anymore.

We were kinda about to have an end all final battle that would either result in the destruction of the campaign army, thus allowing the Swarm to feast on the Imperium, or the Swarm gets practically exterminated. He brought his entire population into this and I don't know how else this could get sorted out without him here.

We're going to try and find a replacement but if not we could have someone RP the swarm as well as whatever they have. It's always better to have a player on the other end as they might come up with an interesting strategy and it prevents godmodding.

Remember, his entire army is also his entire species, which is present within my borders. If I defeated him (while taking extremely heavy losses) in Elend, no one will be able to defend his land. It would be preferable to get another player to be willing to take up the Swarm, but in case that doesn't come to fruition...

If that doesn't come to fruition I'll take on the swarm. As I say, it's better to have players vs players when nations go to war.

Instead of working with posts and text, we make pictures. Many, many pictures. We record the dialogue, we play these pictures very rapidly and then play the dialogue and the sound effects over it. Then, we assemble people, make them pay to sit in a large room, and we play this on a screen. We can even pop maize kernels to eat while observing these many pictures.
