Having experienced the brutality of communism firsthand, he developed an extremely anti-Communist ideology. Dalí played baseball in the Dominican Republic throughout high school and until the age of 20. He then found work in Weselton, Calaverde, as a welder, and attended university at night, majoring in actuarial science and political science. Aided by an incredible work ethic and his lack of familial responsibilities, Dalí graduated summa cum laude with a double bachelor's degree in these two fields but was unimpressed by the work opportunities he found, so he joined the military reserves. Starting as a second lieutenant, Dalí worked his way up to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He switched to the National Guard in 2005, and the thirty-year-old found a career as an actuarial analyst at Cortes Insurance, a small property-casualty firm in Weselton. Aided again by his strong work ethic and dependability, Dalí worked his way up to Senior Vice President, Chief Property-Casualty Officer, taking that position in 2011. When the incumbent CEO of Cortes retired in 2014, Dalí was chosen by 97% of Cortes Insurance shareholders to lead the company.

The Weselton senatorial seat became vacant on January 1, 2015, following Calaverde's independence; Dalí decided to take a shot at it. Running on a platform of anti-communism, trust-busting, and individual rights as well as his military record, Dalí lambasted his token opposition by a spread of 69% to 27%. Following his win, he resigned from his position as CEO of Cortes Insurance.

He was elected to the Mironor City council in 1999, and he served on it until 2002. After that, he lived a relatively quiet life until 2012, when he successfully ran for the Corunia and Mironor Senate, elected to the constituency of Mironor City North. He is one of the most popular MPs in Corunia and Mironor, being an avid supporter of left-wing policies.
