Kirov Airship Mk2

One of a genius Soviet engineers has created the "Kirov Airship Mk2", the description of the "Kirov Airship Mk2" is that, "The unprecedented new Kirov Airship symbolizes the Soviet military's sheer size, strength, steadfastness, and, some might say, its propensity for excess. Named for its maiden launch over Kirov oblast, this dirigible is specially-built for war. A rigid, unbreakable titanium compact frame and heavy-duty envelope make the massive vessel virtually indestructible, and its oversized cargo hold packs thousands of armor-piercing bombs, while an industrial-strength engine block and maneuver props somehow keep the thing aloft. By contrast with some other more-conventional Soviet forces, no expense was spared in either the design or the manufacture of these flying behemoths. Krasna Aerospace introduced the Kirov into the Union's arsenal only two years ago, and already it has changed the way modern air combat is waged, while silencing critics who once accused Krasna's past success with its Twinblade gunship to be a one-time fluke.

Given its pure role as a heavy bomber, the Kirov's only real shortcoming is its inarguable lack of speed--a problem that is partly resolved by the Kirov's posh living quarters and spectacular panoramic viewports, which let their prestigious pilot-bombardiers blissfully pass the time while their aircraft steadily trudge along toward their unfortunate targets. Along the way, Kirovs are able to simply shrug off most anti-aircraft fire, including attacks from enemy fighters. It is true, though, that Kirovs have no means of retaliating against enemy aircraft, so the Union does tend to send escort fighters of her own to watch over each mighty vessel, just in case. Further, Krasna Aerospace has equipped this year's Kirov models with special fuel injectors that provide the airship with a significant burst of speed, though this is used sparingly for safety reasons.

Of course, the greatest safety concern lies with the Kirov's enemies. Even but one such gigantic vessel has within it the capacity to bring ruin to an entire military installation or enemy armour division. As if this weren't enough, recent reports claim that the Soviet Union is now exploring new ways of mass-producing Kirovs in an offshore plant, while fitting them with even more powerful munitions. Such reports may well be false. For example, there is simply no physical way a Kirov could be built from a Soviet war factory, despite insistent speculation that one of these tank plants--so common on the Soviet front--has within it the capacity to launch aircraft.

Predictably, Kirov Airships are flown only by the most decorated Soviet officers with years of good political standing, who enjoy lavish accommodations and fine dining inside the Kirov's 200-square-meter living quarters. Even so, stories abound about the ruthlessness of Kirov pilot-bombardiers, who--if the psychological profiling is to be believed--are so impatient for combat yet feel so removed from it that they tend to use their bombs with liberal, merciless abandon."

The Kirov Airship Mk2 is a Stalinist Soviet icon and will be one of the most feared units in the Soviet arsenal. A handful of these zeppelins can destroy a base; the ones armed with 50 megaton bombs can destroy entire cities with a single blow.

Bangkok, Thailand

Prime Minister Sarit thought of the former territories of the Rattanakosin Kingdom of Thailand. They had been taken from them before by the French and English powers since 1862 and wished to have them back. Currently, the status of England's territory to the west was unclear, but the territories to the east, the majority of what had been taken from them, was under German control.

To: Chancellor Hans von Steiner
Hello Chancellor, I have sent this message to you to because of a disgrace that our country has had. The disgrace was the loss of territory to the powers of France and England. Before 1862, the Rattankosin Kingdom had a vast amount of territory which we wish to have back. We ask of you that we could meet an agreement in the matter to recover the land that we have lost.
Best regards, Prime Minister Chayan Sarit.

Mali Sahara, German Occupied West Africa

The ARP convoy made it's way across the Sahara, looking for the German mech graveyard the captured Senegalese collaborator told them about. The traitor told the rebels of a place in the Sahara where the Germans placed their old, outdated mechs. While the mechs were of no use to the Germans, they would be great assets for the cause. Up until this point in the war, the African Revolutionary Party had been fighting the technologically superior Germans with old and/or stolen rifles on camels. The ARP was looking for something to even the odds. They rode through the Sahara for seven days looking for the place. Many of the Sub Saharan rebels found the heat almost unbearable compared to their Savannah and jungle origins, much to the humor of the local Toureg soldiers. Mohammed was at the head of the caravan, remaining silent for most of the journey except to give out orders. Mohammed looked through his binoculars and saw the mech graveyard. The area looked heavily guarded.

"Hold!" Mohammed shouted in arabic."We've found the graveyard, looks like the coward wasn't lying."

He looked around, his men were exhausted from the trek in the desert.

"We will wait here until nightfall. Get some water, eat, sleep if you can. We will strike at the oppressors under the cover of night!"

Mohammed brought 300 men for this expedition. Most of them had doubts that what they were looking for even existed, but once again, it was proven to them that the hero of their revolt was right. While most of the men rested and checked their ammo and scimitars, Mohammed placed 50 of the troops to watch for German reinforcements, just in case their position was discovered.

"It's all good in the hood!" I replied cheerfully. But deep down, I knew that there were many socio-economic problems in the hood.

Italy has begun developing some stealth submarines, as normal ones were somewhat vulnerable to ships and airplanes. In order to increase the submarine's security, they have created a newer model that will be resistant to radar. They call this newest submarine the ABE 1. The existence of this submarine is kept under strict classification.

In other news, due to the rebellion in Mali, Italy has begun moving a hundred thousand troops to south western and Libya. This is to make sure the violence does not spread to Libya. Although this may seem like killing a cockroach with a flamethrower, it is also to make sure no Libyans are inspired by their actions.

King Benito Mussolini has recently made an announcement to the people of Italy explaining his hatred for the Jewish people. He has also began a new law very similar to the American segregationist actions. He has also announced that Catholics and Protestants were a superior people to the Jews. The only difference was that these actions applied to Jewish people instead of African Americans. This law may be upsetting to the Jewish people, but they are a minority in Italy and do not cause much ruckus. Mussolini has stated the others being superior to Jews in an attempt to make them more nationalistic.

Mali Sahara, German Occupied West Africa

Midnight came across the Sahara. The ARP gathered their weapons and made their way towards the Mech graveyard. Most of the Germans were asleep besides a few sentries. From how the rebels saw it, they weren't expecting an attack. The sentries were easily dispatched by scimitar wielding touregs who came up behind them. With them eliminated, the rest of the troops entered the base. When they came across the sleeping Germans in the barracks, the rebels quickly moved in and blocked the doors and pelted the building with petrol bombs, burning the bastards alive. The men began investigating the mechs. Out of the 10 abandoned derelict machines, only 3 of them were still operational. The colonial deserters would have to repair them, but they were still a great find none the less.

Harbin, Manchuria
The province of Manchuria, so generously returned to China by the Russians, was happily accepted back by the Chinese people. However, the horrors of large scale war are more familiar and the scars more recent to the Chinese than any other people. The growing hostility between the USSR and Japan has become an enormous source of apprehension for President Chiang Kai-Shek. The Republic of China invites representatives of both Russia and Japan to Harbin to peacefully resolve their disputes.

Meanwhile, recovered Soviet technology, combined with a recovering Chinese industry, has led China to begin developing her own modern military equipment, albeit in restricted quantity and quality. China's first mechanized physical augmentation suit has been successfully produced and tested. It is a simple, battery powered, strength enhancing exoskeleton, designed to enhance soldiers' physical abilities but does not provide protection or armament to the user. The military has produced only a platoon's worth of suits so far, but many more are on the way. Chinese generals hope to see all soldiers equipped with such technology by 1941.

Chapter 1: A New Japan

Japan has agreed to send delegates to Harbin to hopefully resolve disputes and conflict with the Soviet Union, but many speculate that the talks will get nowhere.

A recent surge in Japanese economic growth has lead to some analysts believing that Japan is likely to become one of the world's largest economies by 1950. The economic growth is largely attributed to reforms passed under Emperor Shōwa and his government. The year has also seen a decrease in unemployment rates, as well as major technological and medical advances.

Plans to invade Manchuria have not been scrapped but kept aside, for possible future application. Instead, plans to capture Vladivostok and secure Northern Sakhalin have been developed. Bomber aircraft located in various airfields scattered throughout Korea are to be ready at a moment's notice to take off towards Vladivostok, and with the threat of war hanging over Japan, propaganda leaflets trying to recruit soldiers into the military are distributed in major cities. Thousands of enthusiastic, patriotic, young men take the call to arms and enlist en masse.

In other news, the construction of various airships, closely modeled after that of the Akainu-class airships is going underway near various cities in Japan; they will mostly be used by commercial and transportation purposes. A plot to assassinate the Emperor was also discovered, although the men responsible for the planning of it were killed in a gunfight with police in their house towards the outskirts of Tokyo. It has been suspected that the Rising Sun was behind the plot, and may have allied itself with other radical, nationalist organization. A pending police investigation so far has failed to produce any results.

A number of senior officers and generals have also been discharged, as a result of suspected association with radical nationalist organizations known to oppose the Emperor.

Japan has also sent a message to the United States, hoping to improve relations with the two countries, as Matthew C. Perry, a US navy commodore, was the one who opened up Japanese relations with the West. The message addresses concerns about the Soviet Union and the possibility of a meeting between the US president and Emperor Shōwa.

OSS Headquarters
Undisclosed location

2 shady figures talk in a dark, smoky room of the 7th floor.
"Are you sure this operation is worth the risk?"
"If our intelligence is correct, which no doubt is, the Italians are working on a secret project somewhere in Italy, under strict classification. The project aims to develop a new, incredibly delicious pizza recipe! They have already created a prototype codenamed the ABE 1. We must steal it and reverse engineer the technology behind it before they begin mass production!"
"But why don't we just develop a pizza recipe of our own?"
"No, The Ministry of Science can't afford such ludicrous endeavors! They focus all their attention on the Tesla project and the development of New Stealth Submarines!"
"What about the Russian Airships? Wouldn't it make sense to steal the technology behind those?"
"What technology? Anyone can strap bombs onto an airships..."
"Allright then, What are the details here?"
"Agent Churchill is already en-rout to Cairo via airplane."
"Wait, I thought we were infiltrating Italy!"
"Of course, But first he must go to Cairo to shop for groceries and pretend he is an Italian tourist!"
"Ah, That makes sense, So then he returns to Rome in the disguise of a tou..."
"NO, silly! That would be to obvious. From Cairo he will go to Rio De Janeiro where he will take the disguise of a Japanese spy."
"Why would we need him to do that? And how could he pretend he is a Japanese spy when he is white?"
"He must go to South America to confuse the Italian counter-intelligence and don't worry, he will figure something out."
"But..."
"Then He will go back to Cairo, This time disguised as a German tourist."
"..."
"Then he will come back to headquarters."
"What?"
"He already has the pizza recipe and the prototype! He must bring it back to us so we can learn it..."
"But when did he stole the recipe?"
"So even You didn't notice, did you? This plan is Brilliant!"
"No I didn't... The pizza is in italy and he won't be visiting italy. How could he Steal it then?!"
"That's how our enemies would think like, But in reality, he was in Italy all the time!"
"... Thats not what you said."
"Precisely! He swapped his identity with another agent at Luton airport today. I was talking about the Agent Churchill who will act as a decoy!"
"With whom did he change Identity?"
"With you!"
"What the... how... but... no he didn't. I was here since yesterday!"
"Of course! Headquarters was at the Luton airport this evening and he stole your identity when you were in the bathroom! Now we are en-route to Cairo! Take a look outside!"
The shady figures pulled the curtains from the window and looked outside. They were floating above the clouds on the 7th floor of the airship, Glide of Oceania.

President, we are growing weary with this Japanese imperialists, how about we can have Northern Manchuria, so we can have a military base near Korea and also how about if he can have an mutual defensive alliance, will you agree with that?

The Soviet Union growing weary with Japan because of its aggressive movements towards the Stalinist Soviets.

Premier Joseph Stalin starts to make an invasion plan from the Japanese Empire so that if the war starts with the Japanese imperialists then the invasion is already prepared from the Soviet Red Army of the Far East Regiments.

Mali Sahara, German Occupied Africa

The Mechs had been brought to a sympathizing village on the outskirts of the Sahara. Their, African mechanics who had deserted the German army repaired the mechanical beasts. To make sure the Germans couldn't just hush up the situation, Mohammed dispersed riders to spread word about what he called "the turn of the tide". Mohammed returned to the safehouse in Timbuktu. A system of safehouses had been set up all across the German occupied territory, from Dakar to Gao, to house and give safe haven to the ARP freedom fighters. When Mohammed walked in, he was immediately greeted by one of his men.

"Sir, we have captured a man that was sneaking around the safe house, we thought he was german, but his accent proved otherwise, he's tied up in the back room. Mohammed walked in to find the man, as the soldier said, tied up. Mohammed removed his gag.

"Speak, or I cut off your head!" He yelled.

Chapter 1: A New Japan

Near Manila

The delegate sat on the couch, fuming "And make sure someone come to greet me, too!!" He yelled at the Captain, who obeyed, albeit reluctantly, retreating from the room. Angrily taking a long sip of water, he sighed at the incompetence of the ship's crew and Captain. The meeting in which he would negotiate a possible alliance with the Philippines only added to his stress and busy schedule, and it certainly hadn't improved his mood either. He had spent most of the trip eating and doing paperwork. As the airship neared Manila, he could see the city in his sight - the airship would be descending soon.

Tokyo, Imperial Headquarters
The Greater Japanese Empire

"Those damn communists!" Imperial General Hideki Tojo sat up, shouting. Dressed in a crisp IJA uniform, he was known for his radical and nationalist ideas. While he pledged loyalty to the Emperor, he constantly agitated for war with the Soviet Union. He was disliked by Homma, and by the Emperor, although they kept this secret. Slamming his fist on the table, he spoke, his voice shaking. "This is the last straw. I propose that we launch an invasion of Sakhalin and initiate Operation Ichi-Go, a week after this meeting is concluded."

"Please, Tojo, I implore you to calm down. We will discuss this in a civilized manner, and it is not my intention to allow this meeting to devolve into pointless, endless bickering. We must not act with haste, but with caution." Homma spoke up, calmly sitting down on the chair. He raised his hand "If I may, I would like to say that we should not go to war with the Soviet Union. That move is foolhardy and reckless. Our full forces for Ichi-Go have not even been prepared yet."

Tojo sat down, scowling. Red-faced, he took deep breaths, glaring at Homma. General Hato Nagatsumi (fictional), a man who favored bareru frontal assaults followed up by close air support to breach enemy positions, and a man who placed great emphasis on logistics and not over extending supply lines, also stood up. "We should not go to war with the Soviet Union until sufficient preparations for Ichi-Go have been complete. Otherwise, we would be going up unprepared towards an enemy which we have little to no idea about."

Hideki sneered "Their defeat in the Russo-Japanese War, I believe, is sufficient evidence that their army is nothing but a large, unorganized group of soldiers and their navy incapable of going against us and our naval firepower." Hato shifted his gaze to Tojo, and replied "Yes, but this is a different Russia we're talking about her. The Russia we fought in 1905 is vastly different from the one here."

Hideki was silent for a moment, before arguing "The Imperial Japanese Army has state-of-the-art dieselpunk technology, is well trained and well equipped, and extremely patriotic. They are willing to sacrifice their lives for the Emperor and the Empire. A Russian Army would easily crumble under the weight of a Japanese offensive, even if the preparations for Ichi-Go have not yet been completed."

Homma sighed, staring at the window which gave him a good view of the capital of the Greater Japanese Empire. This was going to be a long day.

ThePhilippines, Manila

The president saw the giagantic airship descending down onto the Airstrip. He was amazed at the Japanese and their prowess. It certainly made them very attractive potential allies . It was Emmanuel's hope that the sounds of battle from the outskirts of the city would appeal to the Japanese delegate's warrior culture. Emmanuel was always interested about the Japanese Samurais and had a whole collection of rare texts from the Sengoku era about the histories of some samurai clans. He even had one from a ninja clan, not that anyone would believe him.

A few hours later
The Japanese delegate stepped out of the airship and Emmanuel shook his hands as he came out. Allowing the press to take photos as the two made small talk. He then ushered the delegate into his car and made a ear splitting grin. "So friend, how has your journey been?"

The delegate put on a strained smile as he replied "Stressful, to say least." In order to keep the conversation going, and to be as friendly as possible, he continued "Too much work to do. But Akainu is still grand ship. Very com-fer-ta-bul" The delegate had difficulty saying the word "One of Japan's largest ships." He quickly added.

Lucien looked up at the newly-arrived individual, his green eyes seeking a face through the blur. He'd been treated roughly, but his head was still on his shoulder which meant he'd fared substantially better than those who'd occupied this room before him. He recognized the snap of command in the man's voice, and straightened himself up in response; he managed a wan smile before responding in perfect, fluent French.

"Ah, hello monsieur; no need for that, I will be happy to talk as much as pleases you. Je m'appele Lucien Rais, and I am not here as an enemy, I can assure you of that."

He glanced over at the briefcase that had been taken from him; it rested far from him against one of the walls, looking entirely innnocuous aside from a small bloodstain on the corner. A pair of handcuffs dangled from it; they had been previously attached to his wrist, but he had been persuaded to remove it when the locals had ever-so politely requested he do so at machete point.

"In my briefcase there, you will find a number items I think you will find interesting. You see, we have heard of the struggle of the African people, and my benefactors have expressed an interest in assisting your cause. Please, have a look."

He smirked, reclining in the chair somewhat. Inside the case were a number of force listings and detailed munitions inventories; each was matched to brief profiles, and accompanied by photographs to elaborate on the potential shown therein.

"Take your time, Monsieur; I am quite interested in hearing your opinion of our... offers."

The Philippines, Manila, Near the Presidential Palace

"Well friend, while we are on this car, let us talk. I know your government has plans for Russia. It is not a secret. Everyone knows it. Its the same for the Soviets, they want your possesions. I know you are here to talk of alliances and treaties but as well as secrets. I am willing to talk about these. As you will. I do not like communism, nor do most of my people. We shall ally but we shall talk more in the actual mission. For now enjoy the finest whiskey in the Philippines and the sounds of communism's death throes."

Emmanuel looked out of the car's window. Enjoying the sight of the beautiful city of Manila.

"We are approaching the Presidential Palace."

He said as they saw the shadow of the Great Building of the Palacio de Malacanang.

Chapter 1: A New Japan

Manila, Philippines

"Yes, of course" His brows furrowed. It worried him about how much these foreigners knew. "We have operation for attack Soviet Union if war comes. Emperor is very anti-communist. Border Conflict only help increase tensions." Speaking slowly, he hoped his English was understandable. "We talk of alliance when we arrive at the mansion" The delegate was well informed of recent developments, particularly in the Japanese Imperial command and within the government under Emperor Shōwa. Despite his somewhat poor English, he was intelligent, if a little close minded and impatient.

Tbe Philippines, Manila

The car entered into the palace's gates. Emmanuel went out of the car and opened the doors to his palace. He turned to the delegate and spoke.

"Welcome to my palace. Introductions are in order, I am Emmanuel Navarez, President of The Republic of The Philippines. Let us have a exquisite dinner. And poltitics afterwards."

He had his kitchen staff prepare the best that Philippine cuisine could offer. The Philippines had much to gain from a alliance with Japan and he could not afford to offend his guest.

Moscow, Russian Federative Soviet Socialist Republic, USSR

The parade has started in Moscow, most of the military technology is really a dieselpunk and it has been showed to the people that the Soviet Union is more powerful than any other nations. Stalinist was a great ideology, it refers a socialist realism, rapid economy, and anti-communist realism.

Joseph Stalin was proud from the parade that his great red army is a powerful one.

A few new notable changes have recently occured in Italy.
Public burning of books by Jews
Random attacks on Jews and Jewish property
Police and the courts no longer protect Jews
April boycotts of Jewish shops - for one day, Italians are told not to buy from shops and business owned by Jews
SA stand by shops to discourage people from going inside
'Kosher'- ritual slaughter of animals banned
Department of Racial Hygiene established

In other news, the Italian military has asked Mussolini for permission to begin producing a new type of war machine. This machine was called a "mech" and looks like this. Mussolini's response was a denial of permission to produce mechs. Mussolini was quoted saying "[mechs] will never be an efficient tool of warfare." King Mussolini ordered those people to destroy any prototypes and work to innovate current tank designs.

In regards to foreign politics, the Mussolini has sent a letter to Germany
From: King Benito Mussolini
To: Kaiser Wilhelm II
We have noticed a sizable number of Jewish citizens in your community. As these are the people that have crucified Jesus, are either too powerful or too lazy, and a threat to racial purity, we urge you to create your own Department of Racial Hygiene. We could both use the money we seize from them to amass enough money to pay the Swiss guard in times of crisis.

On a related note, Italian engineers request knowledge of your stealth planes. If we are informed of how these are made and perhaps given a prototype or two, the Italian Air Force could use them for special operations, which in turn could increase our success rate.

Paris

Daniel De Leon walked into the Fascist Council Meeting Room. He was met Syndicate leaders and Charles de Gualle, the leader of the Revolutionary Military, and the first successful experiment by the French to combine man and machine.

"Good day, lads, how goes the Revolution?" De Leon, asked.

Everyone began speaking at once, all but De Gualle.

"Quiet!" yelled De Gualle's 2nd.

De Gualle spoke; "My dear leader, we are ready to spread the glorious Revolution. Let us liberate...(he paused)... Belgium!(He said in a croaky metallic voice, Steam, shot out of one of his exhaust pipes located on his back)"

Spooked by De Gualle, the crowd remained quiet.

De Leon spoke; "I'll leave this glory to you, raise two million men. Crack open the good ol' armory and show them Liberty."

France:

The Nation begins to mobilize, 2 million fit reservists are brought to military installations all over the nation for training and the fitting of rifle and armor. France is preparing for war.

Three million female reservist are called up to take places in the factories, that is of course after the homeless are conscripted to factory jobs.

Under Normandy:

The Syndicate of Arms is developing new weapons for the army. They are converting the 15mm cannon used by the Powered troops into a rifle any man can wield, they expect to finish the project in a month. They are also producing the MK II of their Power Armor series.

The first prototype De Leon cannon is ready. Testing is commencing;

The junior technician pulled the trigger as he braced himself, amazed he'd only felt a small kick. When he looked up, he saw that he'd just shot a hole through the target, a clean hole. He waved towards his assistant who replaced the target and brought a HE round.

3!

Fire!

He pulled the trigger, He opened his eye the target, a steel plate, was ripped in half. He turned to his overseer and gave him a thumbs up.

Oceania Celebrates.
India, Niger and several old British colonies joined up with the United Nations of Oceania to form the United Nations of Earth, Centered in London. In their charter, The UNE declares Food, Shelter, Healthcare, Security and access to OBC (Oceanian Broadcasting Corporation) as a basic human right and agree to cooperate with Oceanian Economic, social and military planners to ensure all nations meet the Charter's goals. This comes shortly after oceania granted a 3 Billion pound aid to support democracy in the old british colonies... a worthy investment.

The Aspari Syndicate wrote:Lucien looked up at the newly-arrived individual, his green eyes seeking a face through the blur.

"Take your time, Monsieur; I am quite interested in hearing your opinion of our... offers."

Mohammed looked over the documents.

"Who are you, some french spy trying to use us to eliminate the Germans so that the French can just sweep back into power? Why do you think we need the help of a filthy European swine like you?"
Quote of the- Oh, I don't know how long I'm gonna have this on here.
"It's all good in the hood!" I replied cheerfully. But deep down, I knew that there were many socio-economic problems in the hood.
