Founded on Christmas Day by funding from the Vannish government, the Order of The Purple Cross is poised to become one of the leading organizations for international disaster response. Purple is Vangaziland's national color. It represents mercy and selflessness to the Vannish people. In that spirit, the Order was formed. Several of the nation's top doctors, medical students and aid personnel have signed contracts committing to The Order.

A few Vannish vehicle manufacturing companies, including MOWAG Vangaziland and several first aid equipment companies like Tyco Aid have furnished the organization through donations or discounts.

The Organization hopes to is a major international force. Goals are to establish staging bases in as many regions as possible. The Order is looking for commitments from other nations looking to become supporting member states. Donations accepted include monetary funds, vehicles, equipment and personnel.

I was looking for a way to get into those RPs without going to war. Every nation can't go to war.. Lol


So I'm thinking of having some polls deciding on what to do with the financial donations. Choices will probably include new equipment, allocating funds for direct aid, of course some has to be used for paying all these doctors. Lol

Eventually I may put a cap on personnel. I think we have plenty of doctors already. Of course now that we have helicopters, we'll need pilots. I can have military pilots assigned in the meantime. Maybe that's the better way to go as far as helicopters. Maybe we can have military staff rotate in and out of some of the less medically specific jobs, like drivers.

I'll do a write up about how things work one day. But I'd like input from everyone. Feel free to share ideas people!

- 100 land rovers equipped with Reverse Osmosis Water Purification Units (they can purify up to 3,000 liters of water per day) A cadre of instructors will provide education as to the use and maintenance of the equipment.
- 1,000 field shower kits.
- 1 Company of Army Engineers trained with handling giant pouched rats for de-mining (the rats are small enough that they will not set off anti-personnel mines and have a 100% success rate in safe non-combat conditions. 150 personnel will be regularly scheduled to be on secondment for such operations.
- 10,000 units per month of NE-IMP (New Edomite Individual Meal Pack) military rations. These contain basic food groups for up to two meals including protein, carbohydrates, vegetables and fruits as well as essential salts. They are not gourmet but they are sustaining.

Reason for Membership Application: As a nation in the happier stages of recovery from civil war, the Allied States of New Edom has a national policy of trying to help other nations dealing with military troubles or natural disasters, a sort of pay it forward if you will. The government leadership feel very strongly about this as do many of the people. It is proposed that the National Council for Refugees become a partner organization with the Order of the Purple Cross as well and that it act as a conduit for information to other regional organizations.

In addition, New Edom is a founding member of a regional humanitarian and peacekeeping organization, the Cornellian Peacekeeping Organization, which has since its founding two years ago had four successful missions which have enabled peace processes, mediation and getting emergency aid to civilians. There is a recognized need to communicate and partner with other organizations dedicated to helping people.

We recently shot off some bioweapons at an enemy nation (that's ICly a secret, by the way), so an RP where it spreads rapidly and uncontrollably would be kinda cool.

That can be an idea. Bio warfare would be interesting to work with. If we end up with a couple ideas, we can work on a few RPs at a time, even if different nations RP in different theaters. So the poll is up, but it doesn't mean that everything will be one RP or another.

I'd like to see more NGO based responses to conflict in the game, just to add the variety and more depth of interest in story. I will certainly be referring to this organization in roleplays in present and future.
