It is an odd hobby, but as long as everyone involved is consenting adults, why not. It's odd, and I only found out about its existence on this very thread, but I certainly don't care enough to pass serious judgment.

Just to dress up, just to have fun.... and sometimes to fuck and yiff. I think that last part is what gets people butt hurt about us. It's not just fursuits but art, stories, roleplays, of people and their characters/fursonas.
CollegeHumor made a couple funny videos portraying the shit some of us like and howboringjudgmentalnormal people react.
Part 1
Part 2
Although what I like isn't anywhere nearly as gross as what was shown in the videos, I just love seeing the reactions of others because I can just imagine it from their perspectives. Trollish I guess, but funny as fuck. I guess it's more the fact of how much they can throw around "morals".
That said, the fact that someone got so mad (bruh) that they attempted to gas everybody is hilarious. The fact that people got hurt isn't funny, but the moral "guardian" is.

We don't know whether that is actually what happened.

It is the most likely thing to happen. An actual terrorist would choose to strike somewhere more important. This has to be some no life butt hurt person who attacked because furries.
Or a sociopath who wanted to hurt people and just happened to target the furries. It could be a jilted lover or a prank gone wrong. All three of those are just as likely as someone attacking them because they're furries.

Sweetie, when was the last time we at the Christian Right tried to kill someone we didn't like? Wasn't the last clinic bombing in the nineties? Do you really believe that reactionaries and Christian fundamentalists are out to get you? Are you so swayed by the BS and propaganda against the far-right that you really think we'd do this? If any religion is behind this, it's Islam, not Christianity.
They're our neighbors as much as like-minded people are. In fact, it is much more pleasing to God to treat the ones you despise with love and civilized behavior than the ones you like. Anyone can like people like them. It takes a whole lot more effort to like people who don't think like you.

Wars in the Middle East, and the people who suffer by the consequences of recent anti-same-sex marriage, general anti-gay (Uganda, Gambia)and anti-choice legislationare all indirect consequences of your ideology.
