Социалистические Советские Штаты Грандя
The Soviet Socialist States of Grandais
The baseless and unjustifiable actions of the Central Democratic Republic of Kalasparata have for too long gone unchecked and with little action against it. This has gone on for too long, and cannot be allowed to continue.
Thus we, the nation of Grandais, declare war on Kalasparata for the following reasons among many:
1. Reckless endangerment of the environment by building an artificial planetoid, drilling into the mantle of the earth and colonising other planets
2. Reckless consumption of resources in construction of these and other various projects
3. Extreme capitalist exploitation of the working class by selling off land on said planetoid to the highest bidder
4. Disregard for the inhabitants and wellbeing of an alternate dimension by selling off portals to the highest bidder and planning to use it as a tourist destination
5. Disregard for the inhabitants of poorer nations
6. Anti-communist tendencies
7. Refusal to send aid to other nations
8. Offering to sell humans to other nations/planets to be used as experiments or a food source
9. Cruel and unusual punishment violating the basic rights to which all humans are entitled
10. Refusal to acknowledge the rights of prisoners as human beings
11. Reckless endangerment and abuse of power by construction of a time machine
12. Animal abuse
13. Bribing other nations to assassinate members of a religious minority
14. Creating weapons of mass destruction such as antimatter and interdimensional weapons and selling them to other nations
15. Overly excessive, violent and traumatising criminal punishments meted out for the smallest offenses, even to minors
Let it be known that we will never allow actions of this kind to stand anywhere. The military will be mobilised immediately to attack. If the Kalasparatan government wishes to surrender, they have until we get there to make up their mind.
Signed,
Yegor Ilyich Varnava
Chief Spokesperson of Grandais

Radimir Vladimirovich Mitya, Marshal of the Red Army
Branimir Sergeyevich Chehachkov, General Secretary of the GpZGB
Sonya Pyotrovna Durov, People's Commissar of the Red Fleet
Pavel Nikolayevich Kuznetsov, Commander-in-Chief of the Grandian Air Force
Radimir Mitya was impatient. This was to be Grandais' first major military operation for a while, but this time things would be different. He had refused all requests from allied nations for military aid: this fight was his alone. He had a score to settle with Kalasparata. People in the street had been calling for Kalasparatan blood ever since the first announcements of atrocities in the Central Democratic Republic had come to light, and had only intensified as time went on.
But Kalasparata, located in the center of the map, was a long way to fly from the extreme north. He hoped they had enough resources to sustain a long fight at such distances. They could stop off to refuel in allied nations, which would lessen the blow a little.
As much as the Marshal of the Red Army hated Kalasparata and wanted to see it wiped from the earth, Yegor Varnava has stressed that this was to be a fair fight, and to avoid civilian casualties where possible. Kalasparata was an extreme capitalist nation: any civilian 'accidents' wouldn't help its opinion of Grandais as 'evil commies'.
Radimir took a drag from a cigarette as he sat in a deckchair at the air force base, watching the fighters make take-off preparations. As much as he wanted to be there killing capitalists himself, there wasn't a chance he'd be allowed on front lines while the threat of attack from WMR or Vlack Sturm still loomed. The bolstered defenses around base were proof of that. A particularly intimidating anti-air turret was keeping the sun out of his eyes.
A message from his phone notified him that the ground troops and tanks were being loaded onto ships in Pallasovka. They'd be heading off within the hour. He wasn't there at the moment, having decided to head off to the nearest military outpost instead of wasting fuel driving halfway across the nation to be at the nation's sole naval base in person. That lovely girl in the navy would sort it out.
That beautiful sound of jet engines roaring to life came to a crescendo as the Sukhoi Su-65s the Red Army had purchased from Osea were the first to take off. This was hopefully to be their first real combat situation; although they'd been deployed before to Red Zone, no shots had been fired.
Radimir's deckchair fell over as the wind from the sonic fighters blew it away.
He saluted the planes as they disappeared over the horizon.
