You do know how many terrorists have religious motivations, right? And how many wars, killings and social tensions are religiously caused?

And docility is stupid to begin with. People aren't labradors.

Which has nothing to do with whether or not it encourages people to do stupid things. It, itself, is a stupid thing. How could doing something stupid discourage stupidity?

How many wars? In documented history, about 7 %. Source

It has more often been shown to stop clever people doing clever things while giving stupid people sanction for their stupidity.

More often?

Please cite studies that religion has "more often been shown to stop clever people doing clever things while giving stupid people sanction for their stupidity" compared with it "stop[ping] stupid people from doing stupid things".

I didn't know we even quantified this.
Venicilian: wow. Jesus hung around with everyone. boys, girls, rich, poor(mostly), sick, healthy, etc. in fact, i bet he even went up to gay people and tried to heal them so they would be straight.
The Parkus Empire: Being serious on NSG is like wearing a suit to a nude beach.
New Kereptica: Since power is changed energy over time, an increase in power would mean, in this case, an increase in energy. As energy is equivalent to mass and the density of the government is static, the volume of the government must increase.

Be religious is not always serious mental issue it seems.
Only be too religious is serious mental issue.
But can we prevent that from happening? Dude will tell you, "God spoke to me, I am his prophet" what will you do? "Ok, Jesus, now you will get nice warm white room"

It would matter little for mere mortals to discuss the existence of a higher deity, but mortals must find a deity nevertheless. He either exists, or not. There is no ignorance, no apathy, for that is folly. We must look for clues that gives evidence, or negates a deity, for it would be a monumental discovery. We should have a scientific fund to find out blueprints from this creator. Arguing doesn't help, only research.

If there is a supreme being, it would be useless to fight him. For rebellion would lead to death, in whatever he brings.

You're saying that the only reason you don't hump sheep, is because you fear god?

That absent that fear, you would go on an orgy of woolly sodomy?

Well... you go ahead and believe then.

So? Your implication was clear. Thus the response was necessary.

My implication was that religion causes people to do stupid things, including war, as is evidenced by the 7% of wars caused by religion.
