Gregory's jumpship returned from orbit and slowed as it began its approach to the Tower's hanger bay, the clouds seemed to part for the craft as he pulled up to a slowly moving hover just outside the bay.

"Make sure she gets refueled, and try not to scratch her up." Gregory told his ghost as he teleported himself out to the walkway that lined the hangers walls.

"What am I, a valet for spaceplanes?" Little Greg was being playfully annoyed with his being ordered around, something he had picked up from Gregory a while ago.

"No, your the ghost who needs to leave the man alone while he talks to his dad, unless you want to talk to him to!" Gregory snapped at Little Greg as he walked away from the hanger.

He needed to talk more with his father about the supposed transfer that the old man was going to try and push down Gregory's throat.Gregory was torn, he didn't want to offend his father by defying his wishes but he wasn't so blind as to not see that Bravo team was the team he wanted to have his back when the going got tough. The whole situation was going to blow up in his face sooner or later, so he thought it would be better to embrace the argument while the mission was still fresh in his mind rather than fall back into his regular way of viewing things, his fathers way.

I guess we could head back to the tower, unless you want to look around some more. I don't think New Monarchy will mind if we tell them we killed fifty-two Fallen and six Hive, they might even be overjoyed at the, as you put it, two birds with one stone." Dos looked around a little more and didn't find too much of interest. The Rocketyard was dead empty, bar the two guardians and their Ghosts.

"Alright then," Karma said. "I need to purchase an auto rifle… I'm probably the only Titan who doesn't have one." Karma shook his head, smiling under his visor. "Alpha, transmat me back to the ship," he said to his Ghost.

"Acknowledged," Alpha replied.

Karma gave a quick salute to Dos as he was transmatted. Back in his ship, he walked into the cargo compartment, noting the presence of his newly acquired Pike alongside his Cavalier. "Good, you didn't scratch it," he said to Alpha, grinning.

"Oh shut up."

Karma laughed as he got in the pilot's seat and sped towards the Tower.

Ares-95
Exo Titan Defender
Fireteam Eta: Support For Fireteam Upsilon

Cosmodrome: Command & Control Center

Moving in through what appeared to be an old service door of the command and control center Ares-95 found himself walking across an old grated floor. With every step the steel beneath his feet creaked and groaned, threatening to give way under Exo's weight. Below him were dust covered computer servers. No colorful lights or hum if hardware were emitting from any of the Golden Age black boxes. They had been dead for a long time a few looked as if they'd been scavenged by Fallen.

Making it to the other end of the room he'd find the doorway had already been blown in. It showed all the signs of plasma damage. Most likely done by a Servitor, but the age marks also noted it had been many years ago. Most like battle damage caused in an attack during the Collapse. It lead into a large facility filled with terminals and screens, an entire wall had been dedicated to glass which looked out at most empty launch pads. Through the frosted and dusty window one could make out a colony ship or two still unlaunched sitting far out into the distance. "It's amazing. Just 5 ink of 2 hat this pla--" "Quiet." Ares-95 could hear movement, and the faint echo of shots being fired. They were coming from the next room.

Rushing to across the room he found a partially opened steel door, the location from whence the noise was coming. Peering through he found an mirror imaged room to the one he was currently in. The difference was that it was full of Fallen and they were shooting at other Guardians. Fireteam Upsilon. The Titan didn't hesitate. Pushing the door further open with his shoulder he took aim and fired off control burst from his auto rifle at the nearest hostiles, succeeding in taking out a number of dregs as the round found home in their backs. "Fireteam Upsilon this is Eta Alpha. Moving in at your nine." Making a quick dash through the door way the Exo made a slide behind a nearby terminal before continuing his fire. Once again catching most of them off guard Ares-95 now placed the alien pirates in a deadly crossfire.

Courtyard, The Tower

For the last hour or so Gregory had been arguing outside the mail kiosk and fighting against his fathers wishes to transfer him to a new Fire-team, the old man was amendment about the move and was determined to get his son out of a 'metal heavy team' as Peter had named it.Gregory on the other hand was determined to stay with the squad and continue to join them on their missions, his was less bigoted than his father and was generally accepting of Archangel as a close friend.Though in his mind he was still seeing the Exo like he saw his ghost Little Greg, as a machine rather than a individual personality. But this machine was his friend and he was not so willing to leave the team just because his father was a purist in the worst way possible.

"So what exactly is it that you want from me?" Gregory continued to argue with his father.

"To be a good son and listen to your father!" The elder Amakov ordered with his booming voice over the holocomm.

"Your asking me to abandon the team I trust, for some new team, because their not human." Gregory tried to see the reasoning in this but there wasn't any logical one to be found.

"No, I asking you to let the battery powered pawns do the dirty work while I get you into a team of actual guardians that will be making a difference in this war, not wasting your live fighting for these soulless automatons you call team members." His father threw the insult to Bravo's Exos not being real Guardians, that mad Gregory cringe at the though of someone saying the same thing about him.

"Just because they aren't equal to us doesn't mean they're useless." Gregory said as he threw his hands in an annoyed gesture.

"Your right, they serve well taking bullets for the real guardians of humanity to survive." His father pushed the insult twice now.

*thank god the volumes down.* Gregory thought to himself as the passersby continued to walk on their way to do whatever it was they did in the tower. Some were Guardians themselves and would have blasted the man who insulted one amongst their ranks while others were mere workers and maintenance personal going about their daily routines.

"Well then give me a chance to show you that these ones are different, use those 'connections' you have and put us in on something that could really be a blow to humanity's enemies." Gregory pleaded with his father for an opportunity to show that they could take down the more powerful forces of darkness.

His father was the all time schemer and would see this as a golden opportunity to either get the annoyances that Gregory called teammates away from his son or to have Gregory lead the mission and achieve greater glory for the family.Whatever happened Peter Amakov would win, and he would have gained another notch on his belt of deals and gifts that he could lord over Gregory with.

"Alright, I'll see what I can do with getting your teams a good mission, but only on the condition that if even one of these iron heads start to malfunction or those pale-skins runaway in battle then I want you to leave them for dead and get back to safety." The demand was tantamount to leaving a brother behind in battle and that's exactly what Peter was asking of his son, should the situation become dire.

"Thank you father, you won't be regretting this decision." Gregory thanked his father showing he was still loyal to the family but that he was not just a puppet on a string for them to use as they pleased.

"I already am!" The last words stung Gregory as the disappointment was already thick in his fathers voice.

Gregory was happy that he had force his father hand but at the same time he was saddened by it, he never wanted to make his father disappointed with him or what he did.He quietly contemplated his actions ad reviewed what he said during the walk back to the hanger where he found Archangel examining the newly refreshed tanks that they had found back in the Moth Yards.

"They're looking nice Arch." He commented as he slid his hands over the black paint of the middle tank that bore all the accessories that Archangel had hoped to add.

"And I got good news, we may be getting a top shelf mission after everyone gets back from the Cosmodrome." Gregory intentionally left out the terms and conditions of this mission that his father was trying to get for them, as Gregory didn't expect Archangel would to happy with Peter or Gregory about it.

"Oh really now? That's good to hear. Things were getting a little easy." Archangel pulled the trigger on the Minigun, causing the barrel to spin with a rapid clicking sound indicating it had no ammunition. He attached the ammunition feeder to the side of the Minigun, and placed several metal boxes of ammo inside. "You can have one of the other two tanks. I have no need for them, and they'll just be collecting dust. All the expensive repairs, and refit on them are done. Just need some personal touches to make them something special." Archangel said, loading ammunition belts into the hopper of the Minigun.

The Tower

The Phaeton arrived in the Tower's hangar and Karma was transmatted out. He noted the presence of Archangel and Gregory's ships. No one else is back yet, he thought. Good. That gives me time to relax. He also noted the presence of three old tanks, one of which had a new paint job. Maybe I can get one… Although the practical applications are somewhat limited.

"Alpha, make sure my Pike gets a black paint job, alright?" he asked.

"Alright," he replied, replaying an audio recording of Karma's voice. Sometimes Karma wondered just how many audio files his little robot companion had recorded.

"Good." He walked towards Banshee-44 for new gear.

"How was the mission?" the Exo asked.

"We killed 52 Fallen and six Hive," he replied.

"How many kills with the Amina?"

"I have no idea. Around ten, I'd say."

"At least you're not letting it collect dust. Now, would you like to purchase something?"

Karma examined the array of weaponry Banshee had for sale. "I'd definitely like this Silvered Hushwind-D," he said, picking up an auto rifle. "I'm probably the only Titan without an auto rifle."

"Oh you'd be surprised," Banshee replied, handing it over in exchange for Glimmer.

"I'd also like the Silvered Eos F94, the Black Chasma Esc, and the Sidewinder Mk.53."

"Why two shotguns?"

"I'd like to field test them. I'll sell whichever one I least like back to you."

"Alright. Now that you have all these weapons, would you like to sell anything?"

"You don't say," Karma replied with a grin. "I'm going to sell my Nox Cantor III, SUROS MKB-33, and Genghis-E. I haven't had much use for the machine gun. It's not my style."

"You're the first Titan I've heard saying that," Banshee said as the transaction was made. "You're also the first Titan I've met who prefers being a sniper."

"Diversity is good," Karma said, turning away. "I gotta run."

"You do that."

Karma went to meet Zavala. After exchanging pleasantries, with Zavala calling him Marcus again, Karma purchased a Raku Fulcrum Type 3 helmet, Knight Type 5 gauntlets, Raku Fulcrum Type 3 chest armor, Knight Type 1 leg armor, and the Mark of the Bulwarks. He sold the items he replaced.

Next up was a meeting with Executor Hideo, New Monarchy's representative in the Tower. He had a personal distrust of each of the three factions, as he believed they had secret motives. He brushed his thoughts aside as he approached the man. The different factions each sold various equipment to Guardians, and rewarded Guardians who used them. Karma purchased the Mark of the Rising in order to gain their trust. He didn't trust them, but they didn't have to know that. With two Titan Marks, Karma decided to wear the Mark of the Bulwarks for now. He would alternate between them as he saw fit.

His "shopping spree" complete, he walked back to the hangar to find Archangel and Gregory playing around with the painted tank. "Good day, gentlemen. I see you've brought back… three tanks." He lowered his voice. "First-come, first-served, right?"

"No way, .... really, thanks Arch." Gregory said as he ran over and hugged the leftmost tanks side armor.

He had though that the tanks were going to be going to the guardians as a whole and therefore tried his hardest not to become enamored by the vehicles sheer firepower. But now that he knew the massive beast was his to own and treasure forever more made him happy in a childish way, who wouldn't love it, it was a tank. The tank wasn't really all that good looking but what over one hundred and fifty year old piece of military equipment did nowadays, the rust and blemishes had been removed by the technicians and the engine was repaired to acceptable levels so the ton of steel was now able to move about and bring its devastation to bear on the enemy's of the Guardians.

"On one condition. No one else in your family can touch it. I'm well aware of your family's, and more specifically your father's views on Exos, and awoken. As an Exo I couldn't bring myself to give something this valuable to one of the biggest bigots out there. Moral reasons. But according to people like him I am incapable of morals or personality." Archangel had a tinge of bitterness in his voice while talking about Greg's father. He was a huge bigot, and more importantly a huge bigot with political power. Archangel sighed, and shut the tanks hatch after finishing loading ammunition.

"The hell is taking them so long?!" Wolfy yelled and touched a button on her console to begin her transmission to her other teammates, "Gamma Two to Gamma Lead and Gamma Three. What the hell is taking you guys so long to get up here? Over." She said and released the button. She waited for a few minutes before hitting the button again, "Gamma Two to Gamma Lead and Gamma Three. Come in over?" She said before waiting for a few more minutes and repeating herself. "Gamma Two to Gamma Lead and Gamma Three. Are you there? Over." She said and then headed back down to The City. As she entered the hanger she hit the button once more, "This is Wolfy calling Nikki and Syrus. Where the fuck are you guys? Over." She said angrily before setting her Javelin down in the hanger and exiting the craft.

She looked all over for the two, searching in every place she could think, but eventually not finding any. Sighing deeply, she decided to just use her jump jets to jump up on to one of the buildings where a large fan was blowing and sat down, letting her legs hang off of the ledge and simply looked out in to the distance, unsure of what to do. She pulled off her helmet and set it down beside her, letting the wind blow through her hair.

"Uhhh, alright, I can see why you would have that little catch there." Gregory accepted the condition and continued examining his new toy.

"But he's not really a bad guy you know, he's just doing what he thinks is best for humanity, kind of like what we are doing." He tried to defend his fathers name but it wasn't an easy thing to explain to someone like Archangel.

Gregory knew there was no way to really explain his loyalty to his family, and by extension his father who was the head of it.But he was always going to be there in the back of his mind, guiding and judging his every move as Gregory went on with his life.It was this that kept Gregory loyal to his father and his fathers ideals, but he hoped that sooner or later that his father would lessen his xenophobia to the point that he could enter a room and not start a shouting match with any non-humans who happened to be in it.He would probably have better luck sailing a boat through the desert sands but the hope was all that he had at the moment.

Gregory though about all this as he circled the tank and nitpicked what he could do and how he would have to explain to father why he couldn't use or even get near this war relic. It was then that it hit him, he couldn't lie to his father and he was concerned that his explanation of why he couldn't loan the tank out for the family annual hunting raids out into the rusted lands would bring some unneeded wrath upon Archangel. So he resigned to not even discus the subject at all, he would word everything right so that the subject of the tanks would never come up and hopefully he could avoid the subject long enough for the situation back home to cool down.

"Is that Wolfy?" Gregory said to Archangel as he noticed the familiar Guardian in the distance of the hanger, sitting on a jumpship.

"My ghost helped me access fragments of my data banks. I am a war machine. I was built to help defend humanity from the darkness, and I died holding the line just like many exos. If your father thinks treating us like second class citizens even when most of us were fighting for humanity before his grandfather even existed is a good idea then he doesn't have humanity's best interest in mind. I don't want any special privileges I just want to be treated as an equal, and not have someone constantly preaching how inferior I am to humans." Archangel shook his head, and slid off the tank. "I'm sorry it's a very sensitive subject with me." Archangel ran a rag along Red Death's bayonet to clean the blood off of it. "Probably. Maybe they killed the servitor this time."

"She looks a deep in though so I'll wager something happened." Gregory was desperate to get off the subject of his father as it seemed to be making Archangel angry and Gregory had no intention of getting both his father and his team leader angry at him in the span of an afternoon.

Gregory though it best to either leave Wolfy alone to her thoughts or allow her approach them at her own leisure because he knew what it was like to have something important on his mind and have annoying people keep popping in to bother you during those times.Actually that remind him of something that he had done earlier and had not had the time or thought to go back and fix it.

He hopped in to the tanks driver seat and cautiously pressed the engine ignition button, thankfully the technicians had done their job well and the engine sputtered to life for the first time in hundreds of years. He shifted the gear to revers and grabbed the steering wheel, slowly turning it left so that he could back into his hanger space along the wall.he moved the massive vehicle underneath the wing of his jumpship and parked it there for storage until he needed it.His fathers spies in the FWC were the annoying sort that actually did there job despite Gregory's numerous attempts to bribe them with his family's large stores of glimmer, to which they replied that the glimmer was coming from the same place and that his father would find out quickly what it was being used for.And that's why he grabbed a tarp from underneath the nearby workbench and threw it over the tanks massive form to disguise it as just another pile of supplies from afar.

"I'm not going to bother her." Archangel put the rag back into a small case, and ran his fingers along the armored skirt of the tank. "Just another war machine like me. Heh. Together we'll pay the fallen back everything they've done to humanity." Archangel said to himself. Archangel had his personal emblem on the tank a hawk with two swords behind it on a grey shield. He didn't know the exact origin of the emblem himself, but it was painted on his right shoulder when he was revived by his ghost.

"What do you mean? Are you asking for one of them or something?"

"Potentially…" Karma said with a grin on his face, before laughing. "I mean, if you're cool with it. Otherwise I'll just go play with my new Pike."

Wolfy looked over and noticed some of Fireteam Bravo. Apparently had scavenged some tanks.. Seemed like the perfect personification of a Titan. Slow, and hardly maneuverable with a lot of armor and firepower. She grabbed her helmet and jumped down off of the building and walked over. "Hey.. You guys haven't seen the rest of Gamma.. Have you..?" She said rather softly, kind of like a timid school girl. Without her team she felt.. Alone.

"Sorry. I only give them to people I know well, and this is the first time I've ever actually talked to you." Archangel looked over to Wolfy whom had just walked over. "No I haven't seen any of them recently. Why? Did you get separated while hunting the servitor or something?"

"Dammit," Karma said. "Alright, I'll go find my Pike."

Karma walked back towards his Phaeton. "Hey Alpha!" he called. "Did you get that paint job?"

"I did," came the reply. The Ghost transmatted the Fallen bike onto the tarmac, painted completely black.

"Nice. If I could, I would reward you somehow."

Dos finally pulled into the Tower's hanger because he and Arion had taken a sight seeing detour, to have a look at one of the old colony ships. He walked past Bravo team on his way through.
"My god! You guys actually got three working tanks. And I was happy with the Pikes that we 'borrowed'." He stood and marvelled at the three war machines for a moment. "Congrats guys. And nice paint Archangel."

The human sacrificed himself, to save the Pokemon. I pitted them against each other, but not until they set aside their differences did I see the true power they all share deep inside. I see now that the circumstances of one's birth are irrelevant; it is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are.

"Thanks. They were just sitting out by the wall in the rocket yards, and I decided to try to fix one of them. If we go to Mars these should help against the Cabal, and their heavy armor. Hell just driving these around the sand dunes should be a blast. On second thought your fireteam can have the third tank. Since it needs 2 people to operate, and it's not doing any good just sitting here."
