Determined to back Mokastana against the United World Order in what is becoming know as the "Refugee Affair" in Holy Panooly, the Commonwealth of Morrdh is preparing a convoy of ships, which will head to Holy Panooly, and offer free passage to anyone willing to leave that country in advance of UWO forces taking the rest of the country over. This is in reaction to the government of the United World Order taking exception to Mokastana's "Right to Exist" bill, which would grant refugees the freedom to stay in Mokan controlled territories. Details of the brutal race laws in effect in the United World Order have been known for some time, and rumors abound of experimentation and execution upon those deemed to be of "lesser" races.
While the Morridane convoy will be escorted by ships of the Royal Morridane Navy, the Morridane government has requested escort ships from other Greater Dienstadi nations, in order to make the convoy more of an international political statement. To this end, the Lamonian Navy has announced that the first Maritime Action Group will be dispatched to help escort the convoy. The first Maritime Action Group consists of one Tenskwatawa class SSN (FRLS Salmon), and two Kalmar class cruisers (FRLS Argos, and FRLS Cambria). Though small by Lamonian standards, the deployment will be more than sufficient to support our Morridane and Mokan allies. The risk of UWO military forces attacking the convoy is seen as small, but the First Maritime Action Group will be vigilant, nonetheless.
In addition the Navy has also announced that the convoy and escort ships have been authorized to use Lamonian port facilities, at need. The Lamonian government has also formally echoed the call made by the Morridane government for further international escort ships to help escort the convoy, in order to make Holy Panooly a more international issue.
