I had ordered Impaled Nazarene's newest album, Vigorous and Liberating Death. Got my hands on it today, BUT. When I opened the envelope I saw a different cover "Wait what?". There was a free punk/metal sampler included. So I got the album I wanted + Uprising 2 sampler with 19 songs of various genres of punk and metal. Probably the most well known band is the opener, Terveet Kädet. Gonna listen to it in a bit.

This has been going down a lot between people I know, naming the 15 most influential albums in their lives, I figure I'll post mine here. In order of when I came across them:

Metallica - Master of Puppets
HammerFall - Legion
Amon Amarth - Twilight of the Thunder God
DragonForce - Valley of the Damned
Exodus - Bonded by Blood
Morbid Angel - Altars of Madness
Cannibal Corpse - Butchered at Birth
Cannibal Corpse - Bloodthirst
Mr. Bungle - Mr. Bungle
Napalm Death - Scum
Anal Cunt - It Just Gets Worse
Katalepsy -Sluggish Cranial Grinding
Cerebral Incubation - Asphyxiating on Excrement
Party Cannon - Partied on Half
Katalepsy - Autopsychosis

Keep in mind I only really got into metal in 2008 so the order in which I discovered things isn't the order they came out in.
Name: Fascist Fennoscandian Union of Norfoklan
Population: 65,362,325 (2012 Estimation)
Form of Government: Single-Party Fascist Union (Led by the Neo-Fascist Party of Norfoklan)
Leader: General Secretary Kristian Schrøder
Capital: Copenhagen
Basically the Scandinavian Peninsula (and surrounding areas like Greenland and Iceland) In one large Fascist government that is heavily militaristic due to the perceived threat of surrounding, non fascist countries.

Formerly known as Azaca, but I got bored with that Nation and started over.

Is it weird that I don't really consider any album "influential" to me? I love lots of albums, but nothing I really consider to be "influential" to me. Except for maybe Sigur Ros as a band because they're the first band I truly loved, which led to my music exploration elsewhere, including tons and tons of metal music despite the fact Sigur Ros isn't metal at all. But they still were the real start for me to have music listening, of all different types, as a huge hobby now. Though I'm pretty sure my dad liking as big of a unique variety as me helped as well.

Before I can even start about thinking my influential list, I want someone to define what they exactly mean with that. Influential in what way?

I think it means how much they shaped your music taste. For example, you might not even like some of your early influential albums that much anymore.

So basically every album I ever heard :p

Uprising 2 sampler is 8.7/10.

Starts with punk songs then goes from thrash to grind to black/death to doom. The punk songs were better than doom ones. Highlights: Bob Malmström - I Lag Med Wahlroos (Finnish "capitalist punk" sung in Swedish), Koljosen Tiekiista - Mat-ka-ro-to-ksi (Finnish HC punk), Cantilena - Black Hound (Estonian thrash metal), Coprolith - This Nightmare (Finnish black/death metal).

Um... are you sure "Legion" is an Album from HammerFall? I think you might want to check that again, my friend. After I read this I was trippin' for a little while, thinking to myself "damn, I haven't listened to that Album yet". Then I was all like "hang on a minute... might have to quickly check this".

"Legion" is a great song from HammerFall's 7th Studio Album, "No Sacrifice, No Victory" (2009). :p

Danish one-woman black metal band

I like this.

Mindblowing fact about the artist behind this: Amalie Bruun is a singer-songwriter, sometimes model, and most well known as a member of the pop duo Ex Cops (NYC).

And then Satanic Warmaster goes sci-fi

Hmm, this specific album does seem to kinda go downhill after the first 3 or so tracks. So maybe I won't pick on the rating too much.
