Even though we have a few Generals who don't have an airplane as their alt mode, when people think of an army of Decepticons, planes/robots is what usually comes to mind.

Blowing large sums of money on ridiculous prestige and propaganda projects and absurd superweapons of immense scale. For example, a very small number (20 or so) of 2,500-ton supertanks. Certainly powerful enough, and useful for domestic propaganda, but they're of little tactical use and they require extensive (and expensive) support infrastructure.

At least they aren't Ratte clones.

Our military doesn't have these boring speech-only stone age radios. All our military radios have high-res 24-bit screens, support flash, can access intenet and run Android OS.

Famed for our child soldiers, I suppose.
The enemy thinks the little school-girl in her uniform is cute and harmless, until it's too late to realize their mistake.

However, we come under a lot of criticism for allowing our child soldiers to exist. Other nations do not see this is their choice, as every other child in Pasig has a choice to work.

Our military is also famous for quick and efficiently annexing all nearby nations and allowing, with ease, the colonization to commence.

Feared all over the world, even though our military's uniforms and flags are sickeningly cute.

A luddite philosophy that certainly runs 100% counter to what we here at the Federation of Soviet Engineers propose for society. We'll let the rest of the world decide whether things SHOULD be replaced by robots, but we hold that everything CAN be replaced by robots (save the basic nature of human intellect and creativity), and that were everything TO be replaced by robots, the world would be a much better place for the humans living here.

That being said, we are a long way from 100% mechanizing and automating our military. Obviously, there is a vast bureau of military intelligence run by humans, and some flesh-and-blood soldiers are required for the few-and-far-between hostage situations within our country, but our engineering corp is attempting to brainstorm and research solutions to the hostage scenio so that it can be eliminated from society as a potential problem, while our programming teams are attempting to develop ever more complex algorithms to displace intelligence positions. Only time will tell when this can be achieved.

Oh we do not disagree that humanity and near-humanity is the world's most effective computer. We simply wish to eliminate the concept of the "job", a daily, repetative physical activity that kills the creative intellect and spirit that powers the unlimited wealth of human knowledge. Machinary can free us from the back breaking labor, so that man can become what he always wanted to be - an unstoppable creative force of productivity and ingenuity.

This is why the state does not fund advanced AI research, though our engineers are free to develop their own programs of AI on their own time and energy budget for strictly academic purposes. We neither need, nor desire, something to replace the human intellect.
