The lame mutants. They exist.

Fuck it, links to the marvel wiki don't work. Just look up Squid-Boy. He can breath underwater. That's it. Hardly a threat to humanity.

Yep. Between him and someone who's incredibly skilled at martial arts, I'd say the latter is by far the greater threat to me. Especially as, despite what people on here seem to think, it's not actually that difficult for someone who actually knows how to kill someone with their bare hands.

Oh, so registration is okay if you choose to buy a gun but if you were born as a walking gun that could potentially go off any minute, we shouldn't register you?

Well, some people here suggested we send them to Xavier Institutes. It would be nice to know who exactly we have to send to these schools...

Aye, if I had super powers I would want to at least have tabs kept on me, not so much as bar-coding or something inhumane of the like but cell tracking or keeping a established checkup for more severe uncontrolled powers. Hell give them jobs with the government! :lol2: :lol2: we do it to hackers so why not mutants?

Mutants who want to go there.

Registering mutants would be like registering anyone who knows how to create homemade bombs, guns, or simple bows and arrows. Theoretically, they're just humans with some extras :P

Depending on the mutant, a lot of them are waaaay more dangerous than that.

Only mutants who want to go? Yeah, that sounds like a bad idea. What of those who can't control their powers? I don't think they just automatically have full control over their powers once they gain them. Mandatory education sounds like a good idea.

maybe instead, there should be special courses for mutants in school. but separating the population would breed problems.

Agreed. That whole government spy thing has been blown out of proportion in recent years. How does establishing mutant honing centers sound? as in Mutants who had to learn the hard way by themselves are hired by the government to start optional colleges and train mutants to control their abilities yet not be afraid to use them.

Okay, that's a pretty bad argument. Obviously the people who know the launch codes are "registered" and more.

Okay, maybe not completely separate schools (unless you're someone like Ted Sprague) but learning to control your power should be mandatory. And how do you know if they follow these courses if they aren't registered?
