Great Astyrian War (OOC/Planning - Closed to region)

This is the OOC Planning thread for The Great Astyrian War (ca. 1920's) which engulfed the whole region in the early 20th Century. It is closed to those in Astyria and the Astyrian Probation regions only. The events will be confined to Astyria and their colonies.

Actually, at the start of the conflict GHawkins is neutral as well. They only get involved after the downing of an airship of theirs, which I doubt is right at the start.

In the timeframe GAW1 happens, at the start, GH will have a similar attitude as the US had during world war I; "Not our damn business".

So, if you for now could move me to neutral, even though GH would sympathise with the entente, they'd not openly commit until the point they are drawn in.

*edit: Also, if you could change the name to Republic of GHawkins or just GHawkins, I'd be grateful.

Here's what I'm running up against is the time line. Almost everyone is a non-belligerent or neutral at the start of this conflict and very few want to jump right in at the start. (Not quite a WWI style accurate scenario, but it works for our IC politics.)
I'm debating listing everyone under the side they end up on by the end of the conflict, rather than how they start, as that would more accurately reflect what we're trying to establish for sides, logistics, orbats, etc. I would just fill in the exact date entered into the conflict later (ie June 2, 1922), as we figured that out. Otherwise, I will be doing a lot of editing of that OP just to keep up week to week. How does that sound?

Also, I really need some feedback from some of you on the status of your puppets, colonies, etc. during the early 1920's. Were they a colony, independent, owned by someone else?
Looks like the popular choice for a start of hostilities will be 1921.
Honestly, we're not going to wait for everyone to get an Orbat together as that will take forever, but we are still a few days from launch and I'd like to at least figure out more canon before then.

Trellin, with its protectorates Kur'zhet and Txekrikar, is neutral throughout (unless events conspire to drag them in, but I don't see it happening).
Cadenza is neutral at the start and most likely will remain so.
Arimathea is neutral at the start, but, thanks to an existing treaty with GHawkins and outraged at the loss of Arimathean lives when GH's airship gets shot down, they join in on the side of the Western Powers (assuming GH does).

Not saying anything needs to be changed in the OP for those countries, as it's basically spot on. I just want to nail things down here so we all know what my involvement is. Cadenza will likely lean towards the Western Powers (think "neutral on the Allies' side" as the Irish were in WWII) but won't get involved. I'm open to discussing concessions to either side, though.

Andamonia will align with the Northern Powers. Not sure what they'll be doing, but I'll hopefully figure something out for them.

Back then, Kelonna was the United Kingdom of Kelonna, and her only colony was The Colian Alliance, or Coland. They were pretty much like Australia was to Great Britain

At the start of the GAW1, Nikolia didn't had colonies. GAW1 is sort of the start of the colonisation for Nikolia, in whom Noordenstaat is being annexed. The reason for annexation is the assasination of Nikolian Prince in Noordenstaat, which was there because of the talks about offering Noordenstaat help against Northern Powers. Basically, Northern Powers annexed Fhiongair (NE from Noord.) and started oppressing Noordenstaat, which Nikolia didn't liked.
Basically in whole GAW1, Nikolia will be prioritized to annexing Noordenstaat
So, this may be the reason of the start of GAW1? Like RL WW1, eh?

*EDIT: Fhiongair wasn't my colony back then

So if you can edit that...and put me into neutral for now, Nikolia would later become the member of the Western Powers

LOL, nothin'. I was kidding. But you guys are really going to make this labor intensive, aren't you?

EDIT: I made the fixes. Eventually, I want to figure out a way to put everyone on the sides that they will eventually, at some point, be joining. They may not be in any alliance at the start, but we have to figure out how to describe that they are dragged into the conflict against their will. Otherwise, it's just one big neutral list. I don't know if that means we nail down exact dates that they join, or just put that vaguely, at some point later, they chose a side.

Also, I think I may introduce the Uli-Schwyz Regiment into this. Any takers on signing them up? Otherwise I will hire them on to one of my puppets, if no one else needs their services.

Agrincourt will probably remain neutral during the course of the war unless it is attacked or unless its trade is somehow disrupted.

What about in Cote d'Cuivre, though? Are we going to have some colonial action there between the Gaul controlled Cuivran troops and the Expos on your home island? Or maybe once things heat up in the north that will kick off, too?
