CAMPIONATO ESPORTIVA X- FELIX & THE GERMAN AMERICAN STATES

Welcome to the tenth edition of the Campionato Esportiva, the official regional football tournament of Esportiva. Only 9 editions ago we saw Nakatumo Isle take the first CE title in history, and since then much has changed. Nations have come and gone, rivalries have developed, and Esportiva has cemented themselves in international football as contenders.

This edition will be jointly hosted in the nations of the German American States and Felix, two nations up and coming in international football. These two nations are rivals on the pitch, but are united in fellowship for this Campionato. In this edition, we will see a record 48 teams participating for the title of the best squad in the land. Best of luck to all teams!

The teams will be formatted into 8 groups of 6 teams, 4 groups in the German American States and 4 in Felix. The pots will be up soon, and the draw will be held in the esper.net IRC channel #esportiva soon after. Once the teams are drawn into the groups, they will play each other once, after which the top 2 teams in each group will be selected for the Round of 16, the start of the road to the finals.

Nations participating in this tournament may now post their rosters and RP. In posting a roster, please include a RP permissions box, where you may place certain restrictions or freedom in an event that your opponent RPs first. Participants are expected to respect their opponents’ RP permissions. Below is an example of a RP permissions box:

Code: Select all
[box]Should my opponent RPs first, he/she may do the following:
Choose my scorers: Y/N
Godmod scoring events: Y/N
RP injuries to my players: Y/N
Godmod injuries to my players: Y/N
Hand out yellow cards to my players: Y/N
Hand out red cards to my players: Y/N
Godmod other events: Y/N[/box]

Respect other player's permissions and you will earn respect. Its as simple as that.

Both hosts are located in the Eastern time zone of the United States. This is a handy tool to figure your cutoff times out. Felix will be cutting off his groups around 8 PM EDT, and the German American States around 9-10 PM EDT. Remember, the US uses daylight savings time, so just keep that in mind.

We will announce the live draw date and the schedule on the signups/discussion thread within the end of the weekend, but expect the first cutoff to be on Wednesday 5/13.

CAMPIONATO ESPORTIVA X OFFICIAL INFORMATION: GERMAN AMERICAN STATES

Image

National Map|National Wiki

Welcome to the German American States! We are pleased to welcome 24 national teams and their fans for the tenth Campionato Esportiva. Here is all the information you may need in your visit to our country.

GERMAN AMERICAN STATES GENERAL INFORMATION

Transportation

The Milwaukeesburg International Airport is the largest airport in the country, and the only international airport in the country that services flights from outside the continent. If your nation is located on Terrabondante or islands near it, you can fly to regional airports in each major city. The Milwaukeesburg International Airport has express rail systems running to each host city. Besides the rail system, highways connect all the host cities, including the famous Seebahn, an Autobahn running from Swillburg to Eisenport. Transport between Felix and the States should not be a problem, as Landair, the national airways of the German American States, is offering discount flights between the two countries.

The People

The people of German America are very welcoming towards foreigners, and to everyone in general. The people enjoy showing foreigners their culture and way of life. Despite the growing nationalism in the country, do not expect any negative remarks or statements towards your nationality(unless if you're Buyanese, where you will be mocked due to Manuel Schmidt).

GERMAN AMERICAN STATES CITIES AND STADIA: GROUP A

The Stadium

Image

Group A matches will be played at the Nordbergen-Arena, the home of GAPL side Sportverein Nordbergen, or Nordbergen for short. The stadium, built in 2002 for the club to share with Kaltstadt Blizzards FC, holds 40,000 supporters with capabilities for 4,000 extra seating. Ultras of each country will be assigned a special end of the stadium and will have to cooperate with the stadium officials to orchestrate tifos and large demonstrations.

The City

Kaltstadt is the capital of the Nordbergen state and one of the largest cities in the country. It is nestled in the Branttal, a small valley situated in the Nordbergen Spine. It was the home of the Kaltstadt Pact, the old union that battled the Milwaukeesburg Alliance in the War of Unification. It was also the old center of mining during the Iron Rush, during which it became a boom town. Now, the city is mainly based around tourism and the state government bureaucracy.

GERMAN AMERICAN STATES CITIES AND STADIA: GROUP B

The Stadium

Image

Group B matches will be played in the Schnitterstadion, the home of GAPL and Globe Cup side Athletic Weisenfeld. The stadium is the largest one east of the Seebahn Corridor, and is one of the most state-of-the-art stadiums in the country. Built in 2015, the stadium has internet connection throughout, as well as a Beirgarten built into a box in one end of the stadium. Fans who travel out to Gengenbach for these games will not be dissapointed.

The City

Weisenfeld was built around the agriculture industry as settlers pushed east into the interior of Terrabondante in the late 1800s. It is now the center of the grain and agriculture industry, as well as a center for an emerging industry in the States, wind energy.

GERMAN AMERICAN STATES CITIES AND STADIA: GROUP C

The Stadium

Image

Lumberjack Park is defintely not the size of a typical stadium that would host a regional tournament, but GAFF chose it because of its historical significance. It is generally viewed as the best stadium to watch football in in the country, partly due to the feeling it gives off of being close to the field but up at a high vantage point, and also being home to one of the best clubs, Grünwalder. Grünwalder has the most rabid fan support in the nation, as football is the region's life and soul after the faltering of the lumber industry.

The City

Rotenbruck is one of the more senic areas in the country. The city is located on a small but turbulent river that allowed the paper mills to take off. Logging is still one of the main industries, but tourism brings a lot of people to Rotenbruck, using it as a base to explore the beautiful Grünwald.

GERMAN AMERICAN STATES CITIES AND STADIA: GROUP D

The Stadium

Image

Das Günterhaus is named after the founder of Swillburg United, the city's largest football club. He paid for the stadium himself and the first base was constructed in 1934. Since then, approximately 15,000 seats have been added on and the stadium has been modernized. The stadium hosts 3 Swillburg clubs, and now looks forward to hosting Group D.

The City

Swillburg is a historical city in its own right. One of the first founded and one of the members of the Milwaukeesburg Alliance, Swillburg sits on the Neu Genesee River. The city has been the center of the photography and film industry in the country, and the home of one of the country's most flourishing businesses, Ajax IT. The city is also famous for its unique brew of beer(this is German America, after all) made by one of the country's premier brewers, Brauhaus. The Neu Genesee Creme has been declared a national treasure along with 10 other regional brews.

Notes:
The cycle is already waning on Die Adlerschaft. Rumors are spreading that many players on the squad will retire after this CE, and many fans will start looking down the depth chart to see their new starters. Regardless, this CE is important, as the States will be playing their group rounds in Kaltstadt and will have a significant home field advantage from Die Schwarzarmee. The States is also riding high from their miraculous qualification in the World Cup. Overall, the Eagles have been put with a tough group and will have to play very well to advance.

Here is the Gregoryisgoidstan soccer team's roster. Our team is nicknamed the Foot Slaves. Our style modifier is -5

Coach: Retired Soldier Commander Lieutenant Warlord McBurgerKing (Age 40, 9/11/1973) Former midfielder for the national team in WC 66 and WC 67.

Note: All birthdays listed in the "Gregorian Calendar", which Lord Almighty Gregory claims to have invented, hence it bears his name. But it is just the regular Gregorian calendar, with certain changes (read on for more.) All dates are MM/DD/YYYY. Note that in Gregoryisgodistan, the year changes on June 1, rather than January 1, so January 1, 2013 follows December 31, 2013, and is equivalent to January 1, 2014 in other calendars. World Cup 68 will begin in March of 2013, three months after World Cup 67, which began in December of 2013. World Cup 69 will likely start in June of 2014, shortly after Gregoryisgodistani New Year's Day.

Gregoryisgodistani names have the title first, which is usually whatever job they have. Then comes either the government ID sequence (for commoners) or the name (for government VIP's.) If that is the same, they are the same person even if the title is different. However, government VIPs can change their name whenever they want.

Lineup:

GK Prune Farmer 3818F (Age 19, 12/30/1994) - Prune Farmers FC

FW Loyal Friend of Lord Almighty Gregory Robert Possibe (Age 25, 02/22/1988) - Loyal Friends

OOC: If you don't get the hacker reference, see this comic. If you still don't get it, entering that name as a database input in certain programming languages will delete all the rosters from the file. Feel free to RP this crashing your computers or something like that. By the way, Fred's younger brother, Hacker John'); DROP TABLE Rosters;-- is on the junior hockey team.

Home games will be played at Lord Almighty Gregory National Stadium in the Capital District, which has been expanded to seat 400,617. The last three digits are in honor of Lord Almighty Gregory's birthday. If the game is not a sellout, fans will be selected by lottery and forced to attend. The stadium seats are divided into two areas, the upper and lower sections. The lower section is the original and seats 225,617. It is shown in the picture below. Many of the seats are so far away that the fans can barely see what is going on and have to watch on the jumbotron, but the government still forces them to sit there. The upper section is on top of the partial roof and fans watch the game through the opening. The angle is good enough that they can see most of the field but they cannot see the stands in the lower level. Part of the field is blocked, more so in the higher rows and levels than the lower parts. They can also not see the jumbotron because it is located in the lower bowl. From their height, it is almost impossible to discern what is going on even when the view is not blocked. However, the government will still force people to sit there so they can continue the sellout streak. It seats 175,000. It was built prior to World Cup 67.
Image

RP Permissions: Basically, do whatever you want but expect reciprocation. If you card my players, I'll card yours. If you kill my players, I'll kill yours. Just don't kill Lord Almighty Gregory, our head of state and alleged deity. Also, if you are going to refer to my nation by a different name for IC reasons (like Gregoryisnotgodistan) please either TG me or leave an OOC note saying you are referring to Gregoryisgodistan. I frequently search for mentions of my nation, but if it's not mentioned by name, that doesn't help. So either mention it by name in an OOC note or TG me to give me a heads up. You don't need to wait for permission with the TG, but please send it so I can respond to the RP. Also, striking out the "isgod" part (as in Gregoryisgodistan) causes it to not show up on the search, so this will not fulfill the notification requirement. However, feel free to use that style as long as you either mention me by name without the strikethrough in the same post or TG me to let me know about the post.

The National Team

After an amazing first world cup cycle where the Armakistan team claimed victories over many of world footballs big names, they enter this regional competition for the first time with hopes of more success against some strong teams across Esportiva. The team has had a few additions since the CoH and a few players have been cut. The 24 man squad is as follows. Bold = Starters

GK
1. Greg Daniels (34) - Victoria Rovers - Proved himself to be a top shot-stopper in the WC cycle and continued in the domestic season (VC)
35. Thomas Jansen (22) - Pappi Town FC - Conceded fewest goals in the league still not got enough experience at international level
12. Franklin Williams (26) - Janolstrum Jaguars - Helped Jaguars win the league, still prone to mistakes making him 3rd choice.

RB
2. James Hanson (24) - Haplon United - One of the shining lights in his teams poor season. Good on the counter.
25. Ben Murphy (28) - Old Fosters FC - RB that can play CB not as confident on the ball as Hanson.

LB
3. Phillip Boston (21) - Victoria Rovers - Ever improving left back, good on the attack like Hanson but strong defensively as well
27. Kyle Johnston (28) - Janolstrum Jaguars - Not one of the star players in the Jaguars team but a top player who could battle for starts

CB
5. Henry Potters (33) - Janolstrum Jaguars - Inspired leader, ex-Armakistan military tough as nails. Lifted the domestic trophy (C)
92. Alex Evergreen (22) - Victoria Rovers - Had a strong season at the back for Rovers, starting to get a good partnership with Potters

6. Henry Mickleson (25) - Victoria United - Strong in the air, not so strong with the ball at his feet.
37. Issac Taylor (28) - Victoria Rovers - Evergreen's defensive partner at Rovers. Quick CB but lacks the strength at international level

RM
7. James Darling (27) - Victoria Rovers - One of the best players in the team. Good crosser and get grab a few goals himself
21. Gareth Thompson (25) - Victoria United - Had a good season and is a strong player. Kept out of team by quality of Darling

LM
14. Edward Appleby (19) - Janolstrum Jaguars - Key in Jaguars winning the league after his transfer. Becoming a world class winger.
15. Billy Martins (32) - Victoria Rovers - Another strong winger kept out of the team but quality of other players

CM
4. Bobby Bell (24) - Janolstrum Jaguars - Strong defensive midfielder, another player brought in Jaguars spending spree.
16. Freddy Bell (28) - Janolstrum Jaguars - Left Pappi Town with his brother. Attacking minded midfielder.

8. Jordan Lines (29) - Victoria Rovers - Has the skills but is inconsistent. Attacking minded subsitution.
19. Clarence Powell (18) - Pappi Town FC - Young youth player who filled the role of Bobby. One for the future.

ST
10. Nick Kelly (30) - Victoria Rovers - Top scorer for the national team, had a good season but not his best. (VC)
9. Martin Bucklebury (24) - Janolstrum Jaguars - Yet another bought player, took the top league scorer trophy off Kelly.

45. Alistair Haplon (28) - Victoria United - Top scorer for United. Kept out of team by quality of Kelly and Bucklebury
88. William Taser (22) - Old Fosters FC - Future striker for the team to replace Kelly, starting to prove himself at domestic level
45. Douglas Long (26) - Gratten Town FC - Only Gratten player, carried team to fourth and to cup final. Wasn't rated until this season.

Manager - Thomas Boston (57)
Coaches - Oliver Robertson (36) & Kyle Opton (48)
Team Doctor - Dr. Nicholas Maskin (35)
Government Security Force (35-9)
Style Mod +3

Information on Felix-
Felix is a country of 69 million that is on the continent of Mardujsha. Felix is bordered by the seas in the north (where our northerly neighbor Kazamatsuri is located) and south (where our southerly neighbor Boring Paradise is located). To the southeast Felix has the Free Swiss States as a neighbor. To the northeast, Chun-nan. To the center, 19th Century Beards. And to the west and northwest, South Slembana and infamous Slembana. Felix has a lot of major cities but the main city and capitol is Santa Maria located in northern part of the country.

Felix's people is culturally diverse as the country is divided into 5 language zones. There is an English zone, a French zone (well there is actually two French zones), a Spanish zone, a Italian zone, a German zone and a lastly a Swedish zone. But our language complexities don't finish there in each of these zones are other minor language groups living there. For example in the Spanish and Lyon centered French zones there are pockets of Catalan speakers. Similarly in the German zones you can expect some Polish speakers. And so on and so forth. It is for that reason that Felix has 5 national languages. English and Spanish being the first recognized and Swedish being the latest one.

Politically Felixians are quite liberal in terms of economic freedom, personal freedom and just freedom in general. Felix's current president is Tamara Van Der Ven of the United Party. In the past Felix was neutral and pacifist. But with shows of force by the Free Republics and hatred from countries such as Valladares the population has shifted dramatically to the militarist side and looking at isolationism as a getaway. Hence the reason why President Tamara Van Der Ven encouraged the FFA to make another bid for the CE despite the close loss in the CE 9 bidding.

Along with that tempting isolationist mentality the Felixians are falling in love with the Nationalist Party nationalism presented by Lazzaro Passerini a man that is both charismatic as he is fearsome. With his ever growing Nationalist Party the remaining parties in Felix formed "The Coalition for National Salvation" and the coalition is basically a desperate attempt to stop him and his party from taking over the congress. But with a petition that wants to do congressional elections a year earlier gaining steam it seems like the Nationalists might just take over the congress.

Another thing wrong with the Nationalists is that they are beginning to terrorize and intimidate foreigners/immigrants all over Felix. Especially in the English speaking zone, which is why Felix isn't putting any groups in Bridgeport, Oxford, Oceania or Arlington. But even in Altomare where they are traditionally either Centre Party or Social Democratic, the Nationalists are talking a foothold in the city and starting to make small rallies. If your team is in Felix for the tournament expect rallies of Nationalists to be held near the stadiums and the hotels your team is attending.

But don't let politics ruin your time here in Felix. Felixians are generally nice to everyone and respect anyone that respects them. Unless if you are a Republican (Free Republics), you are most likely to be egged or attacked by Felixians. Anyways, Felixians as a whole are nice and don't really care for your politics, your religion, or race. Speaking of religion Felixians are either Christian (Catholic mainly), agnostic, atheist or surprisingly, Buddhist. But Felixians won't share that with you, they prefer to keep religion and politics private.

Felix has four cities that are ready for hosting big events with big stadia and plenty of hotels for your team and fans. The four stadiums that are hosting this tournament include, El Estadio Nacional in Santa Maria, Stade de Lyon in Lyon, Stadio Altomare in Altomare, and Stadia Volker in Volker. These cities were host cities in U-15 World Cup back when Felix hosted it. These stadiums were also used when Felix hosted the Gridiron portion of the Esportivan fall classic, a event that was cancelled for unknown reasons.

Here is a snapshot of Felix's stadiums,

Ah Stadia Volker, the crown jewel stadium of the German speaking area of Felix. This stadium was built when Felix was opening up to the multiverse and is still very much new and clean. The design of the stadium both combines the style of Felixians love and the nature Felixians vow to protect. The stadium can fit 90,000 people with 5,000 of that total amount staying in luxury suites. Stadia Volker also has state-of-the-art draining systems that can drain out rain from above. Overall this is probably one of the best stadiums in Felix. In the city of Volker you can expect to speak either German, English or Polish. But there are other languages that can be heard in Volker, namely Dutch, Spanish, Catalan and Italian. The city of Volker does have the capacity to hold fans in all hotels/motels ranging from cheap yet reliable to expensive but extremely luxurious.

Image
Stade de Lyon is a stadium that is the pride of the French speaking area of Felix. And why shouldn't they believe that? It is a gorgeous stadium with a 79,000 capacity range all seater with the remaining 1,000 available for premium seating. The pitch, like many in Felix, are managed well with elite groundskeepers and with good draining that moves out rain or moisture from the pitch. The city of Lyon is right next to the stadium (give or take a kilometer) and the city, like it's German speaking counterpart, is ready to host such a big event like this. In Lyon you can expect to hear French, Catalan, English, Spanish or Korean. But mainly expect French.

Image
Santa Maria is a city that has both the national stadium and one of the most famous clubs in Esportiva (Real Santa Maria), it is because of this that Santa Maria is considered the home of Felixian football. When entering Estadio Nacional don't let the age of the stadium lead you to preconceived notions. Despite the fact that this stadium is 39 years old, El Estadio Nacional is still in a state-of-the art condition and rivals some of the newer stadiums built in Felix. This stadium is a classic 80,000 all seater. The city itself is the centerpoint of this nation. In the streets you can hear up to 14 languages spoken here. To say this is Felix in a city is an understatement. This city is truly the most diverse in the region.

Image
Altomare party city of Felix. I mean, everyday, is party day. No joke, even in Sundays, this mainly Catholic city raves and parties. Which is fitting for a stadium called Stadio Altomare, which lives up to her city's party life style with a big four screen jumbotron and other things such as a halftime 13 minute quick mix in every match presented by the best DJs in Felix. Anyways, this 95,000 all seater is one of the best in southern Felix beating out Napoli's stadium and despite the arguments against it, even Lyon's stadium. This is the jewel of Southern Felix, just like their rival, Stadia Volker is the jewel of the Northern areas. Expect to have a lot of fun here.

Welcome to Felix

The Felixian Football Association Presents...

The Felixian National Football Team

Intro-

The era of Ishikawa Haruka in full swing, ever since she became the first woman and foreigner that the FFA has ever hired for the coaching job, she has made massive changes to the national team and has changed the classic 3-4-3 formation to a more aggressive 4-2-3-1. Something unheard of in Felixian football, unless you are a fan of Altomare. The board and it's diehard fans had a lot of expectations for her and for the most part, she has done splendidly. While her Cup of Harmony start was less than pretty, the team finished in the Group Stage losing to deeply hated rivals, the Free Republics. But she had some recent successes, something Daniel Cardona did not have before. Namely in the Campionato Esportiva. Her Felixian team finished in the Round of 16, the best finish ever in the CE. Then Ishikawa did the amazing, despite the shaky start with Felix losing against Mizuyuki and Free Republics in matchdays 1 and 3. But the matchday 2 win against West Angola, the second seeded team, set the tone for the rest of the qualifiers. Soon enough her very aggressive attacking playing styles against the opponents of Group 17, the group of death as it was dubbed, caught the attention of the multiverse as the team beat out the expectations of many by getting first in Group 17 by the end of the first round of qualifying.

Unfortunately, like Daniel Cardona, her team finished 3rd, one point away from qualifying to the playoff round. And while that defeat broke the hearts of The Phoenix faithful, the people of Felix cheered when they got their invite to be a part of the Cup of Harmony. And the Felixian people cheered even more when they found out that they had a groundbreaking quarterfinal finish. Soon after that wonderful Cup of Harmony finish the team moved on to Campionato Esportiva where Felix and her bid partner, New Sideburn were defeated by hosting upstarts Buyan and The Royal Barangay. That bid defeat seemed to have an effect on the Felixian national team as they failed to qualify to the next round of the CE IX as they were eliminated by Old Guard in the play-in qualifier playoff. It was an embarrassing day for Felixian sports fans. Now, Felix hopes to erase those troubles caused by the CE IX and hopefully qualify this time around. But if history taught us anything it's that the second year of coaching a Felixian national team is usually the worst. Former Felixian hero, Daniel Cardona can tell you all about that. But nonetheless, The Phoenix gear up for another World Cup run, with some players moving overseas and others being part of Felixian clubs that made good runs in the latest UICA competition. Who knows? Maybe the Felixian side has some luck with them.

GK (2)-
Hartwin Kirchner {Age: 34} (Sporting Volker Image)*
Hartwin Kirchner is a goalkeeper from Arlington, Felix. And he has done massively well in Sporting Volker in recent years ever since he became the starting goalkeeper for the club at the age of 23. He is known for his athleticism at blocking shots and oddly enough, his dribbling ability. He was once able to dodge two forwards when they tried to steal the ball with him back in the 2008-2009 season. He played two games in the qualifiers and managed to get a clean sheet, something that did impress Ishikawa Haruka. But now that stuff doesn't matter, he is now the starting goalkeeper. Yep, Mathias retired and now he is the main goalkeeper. This is his chance to impress everyone, this is his chance to make his own mark in Felixian goalkeeping history.

Kiki Nuremberg {Age: 24} (Trieste Image)

DEF (8)-
Bernardino Florentino {Age: 30} (Real Santa Maria Image)*
Bernardino is a defensive star in Real Santa Maria, originally from Altomare and once was on their youth team, this overlooked player was released by the Altomare side and eventually landed a job in Rel Santa Maria. Hoping to prove his doubters wrong and show Altomare that he needed to be in their team, he became won of the best players in the FCL in the 2011-2012 season and even won two FCL championships with his team. In the last World Cup qualifiers he preformed quite well, saving Felix from multiple situations where Felix could've given up a goal. Now he enters this World Cup qualifiers with a hunger that can only be satisfied by hands* qualifying for the big party itself, the World Cup.

Aloysius Blau {Age: 30} (Stalliongrad HC Image)**
Aloysius Blau hasn't had the glamourous life compared to many other players in this team. Born in downtown Sieberg, he comes from humble and also tragic beginnings. His father was killed by muggers at the age of 5 and his mother worked all day to support him and his younger brother, Titus Blau. Football was an escape for the young Blau and eventually he garnered attention from scouts from many elite Felixian clubs. He was heavily scouted by Sporting Volker and he soon started to play for them at the age of 16. He did amazing in his years there and after winning two FCL titles with them he moved to Stalliongrad where he continues to play amazingly well for the Equestrian States team.

Alexis Garcia {Age: 27} (Fadron Flight Image)*
Alexis Garcia is from the small town of Islas in northern Felix. Because the town had two official languages Alexis learned two languages as a kid, Catalan and Castilian (Spanish). When he first joined Hampshire United, he had to quickly learn English and he did. But he wasn't that good of a speaker and because of that he was shy with his teammates in the English speaking city of Hampshire. Fortunately for him he gained confidence as a player and as a person when started in the team and soon became one of the leaders of the team. In the last World Cup qualifiers he continued to impress with his fast and physical style of defending. He is expected to do well in this edition of the World Cup.

Jon Vilmar {Age: 26} (Meadbrook Ranger F.C Image)**
Jon Vilmar like Kaapo Samu is a graduate of the U-21 system Sanna had and has a bright future ahead of him as he should expect to see playing time in the future as the veterans start to age and the opportunities start to arise. He is most commonly known for his skills in defending and in the counterattack where his former club, Dusseldorf F.C, used those skills to their advantage. And now, Springmont team, Meadbrook Ranger F.C uses those skills to an advantage. Thanks to that, Ishikawa Haruka promoted him to starter. Now he has a lot to do in order to prove that he is the right man for the job.

Rubinho Mata {Age: 30} (Sieberg Image)
Rubinho Mata is a very smart man, he comes from the town of Campinho in Felix but because Portuguese is not one of the national languages, he had to learn a lot of them and adapt to other languages. Right now he can speak four of the five national languages, he can speak in Swedish, English, Italian, Castilian and his native language Portuguese. He can also understand German and French. But his talents are not just in learning languages, but on the pitch itself. He is a excellent defender and has shown with his Sieberg club, in the World Cup though, he has become less effective. Because of that he has now been by former Dusseldorf F.C player, Jon Vilmar.

Manuele Provenza {Age: 28} (Altomare Image)
Manuele was born in Altomare, Felix and has loved his Altomare team forever. So it was a shock when he moved to another team, especially a foreign one. But he was that good and he couldn't help himself but attract attention from foreign clubs. So he left Altomare to prove his stuff elsewhere. But things didn't work out, the nation folded their national league and Provenza returned to Altomare where he is a power player in one of the best clubs in Felix, He too is a natural leader despite the fact he is quite the cocky man.

Josh Smith {Age: 28} (Hampshire United Image)
Josh Smith has always been ignored by the common crowd. Despite him being the first black man to play in Hampshire United in the 2007-2008 season he has made little noise in the team until the 2010-2011 season. But then he made even more noise by becoming one of the shutdown defenders for the Hampshire United club during the 2012-2013 season in which the team qualified for the Globe Cup. Now he is in the national team ready to make even more noise and establish a reputation for himself.

Kaapo Samu {Age: 27} (Jenipapa Image)
Kaapo is a tall, Swedish speaking man and is very proud of it. He refused to leave his beloved Cato. But, after a tough season for Cato, Samu moved to Dainer as he was dissatisfied with his team. He is now recovering smoothly and is now a rising star in the national team. Expect him to save Felix from defeat when others can't. But don't expect him to start in the national team, yet.

MID (10)-
Ji Iseul Kwan {Age: 28} (Ponyville United Image)**
Ji Iseul Kwan is the only Korean in the whole team. He is also one of the fastest players in the whole team as he has a great level of acceleration and has big strides. That's probably the main reason why he was picked by Ponyville United during the offseason a few years back. But not only does Kwan have great speed he is just a great midfielder to be with in the pitch and a great man off the pitch. He is a talented shooter and expect him to do some long shots in the tournament.

Gabriel Jenaro {Age: 28} (Fontvieille FC Image) *
The man that replaced Sebastian Krister has certainly made his mark on the pitch in Real Santa Maria. he made a huge impact to the team and is a crowd favourite in the club. That attracted the attention from foreign clubs as Fontvieille a power in Yttribian football bought him from Real Santa Maria. He has certainly improved in his shooting but isn't as good as Krister quite yet. Despite that, he is a amazing midfielder with great awareness and strength. He is also good at corner shots as he delivers the ball right to the heads or legs of the men in the middle.

Sebastian Krister {Age: 26} (Bjarnarey Flotilla Image)*
Sebastian Krister is the main star of Felixian football at the moment as he is currently the only Felixian in a top league, the Polarian league. Bjarnarey has certainly improved since he joined that team and he and his great teammates took on the giants of Polar Islandstates club football recently and got a Globe Cup spot, something Bjarnarey fans loved. He has excelled in the new system Ishikawa Haruka implemented back in two years back.

Kunibert Mathias {Age: 26} (Brinemouth Image)*
Born in Dusseldorf, Felix, he is a talented man from the U-21 system Sanna set up. Thanks to that very special training he received at his proto-prime age, he has become a big weapon to any team he is in. Due his desire to leave his team, Dusseldorf F.C and move elsewhere. He was bought by Brinemouth in New Sideburn, a club with a history goal scoring midfielders. Something this talented 23 year old is. And something he will surely show to the multiverse again as he is still the starter.

Maria Martell {Age: 25} (Saberfell Moths Image)**
Maria Martell is the oldest of the Martell sisters from Buena Villa, Felix near Santander. Maria Martell was scouted by the Trieste team and played for them regularly for the team and even developed a cult status for the team when she was one of the best players in the Women's FCL. After playing in the FCL she became a seasoned veteran in the Felixian football and because of that she was bought by New Sideburnese club, Saberfell Moths. She is expected to start in some games soon as she has been getting better and better.

Chloe Álvarez {Age: 25} (Royals FF Image)
Chloe Álvarez was born in Cordoba, Felix and was once played for the women's Cordoba club in the Women's FCL before it closed up along with the league when the two leagues merged. She was very successful for the Lyon club where she was one of the main reasons that the club has won Copa Félix, qualified for the Globe Cup nearly winning the FCL in their first season in the first division. She was been called up by Ishikawa Haruka in her attempt to include more women in the national team, it was successful as she proved a point to the Felixian football world that women can be as good as men. She then transferred to the Vanersholmare team of Royals FF after another successful Lyon season.

Andres de Colorado {Age: 28} (Ponyville United Image)
Andres, de Colorado was once ignored by the best scouts back in his youth but he had a quick rise when he joined and played for Napoli. Thanks to that he was quickly noticed by foreign teams. And after a great season with Napoli he then transferred out to Ponyville United, where he currently plays and has since then has been proven to be a good weapon for the team as he has played solidly. Expect him to be seen more in the near future during qualifiers.

Manolo Espina {Age: 28} (Altomare Image)
Manolo Espina was born in Gallo, Felix a small Italian speaking town just west of Altomare. He has been a great talent ever since he was a little boy and he was soon discovered by two teams, Altomare and Sieberg. Going against his parent's wishes, he decided to go with Sieberg, instead of the hometown favourite, Altomare. Espina recently transferred to Altomare (finally following his parent's wishes) after many years in Sieberg. It was said he joined because saw the opportunities joining that presented and that his former team wasn't the right fit for him. He will be a major weapon for the national team in the future.

Nickolaus Dürr {Age: 25} (Colesley United Image)
Nickolaus was born in Sieberg, Felix and was another star player in the U-21 team that Sanna coached. He joined the team at 22, the youngest age the FFA would allow people to join the team. He was a weapon for sure in Sieberg as he is both the shooter and the passer. So like most star Felixian midfielders he can do a multitude of things. And that multitasking ability allowed him to move from Sieberg to Colesley United in the BoF hopeful nation of Florgania. Nickolaus will probably not start yet but he might be subbed in if the team needs extra firepower in a important match or if a player gets tired.

Jacinto Crespo {Age: 24} (Universidad de Santander Image)
Jacinto Crespo was born Santander, Felix and is the son of a lawyers. His parents wanted him to follow in their footsteps but he would have none of that as he enrolled himself in the football academy in Santander, against his parent's wishes. Still, he did quite well and impressed the trainers. So when Universidad de Santander joined the FCL and went professional, he was picked as a starter of the new team. Since then he has built a reputation as a solid midfielder with talents that should be noticed. He won't start that many games but he when he does he will certainly leave a mark.

FWD (6)-
Mikel Araboa {Age: 29} (Stemanisis SSC Image)**
Mikel was born in Barcelona, Felix. Mikel Araboa was one of the main stars of the Felixian national team as he was one of the top goal scorers of the whole team in the BoF and was in the top five in the list in the World Cup qualifiers back in the 63 cycle. He use to play in Apox with the football club, Mandon United. But after some years of failure for his former club he moved to Stemanisis SSC in Yttribia. He is agile, speedy and has uncanny way of scoring goals as he is accurate with shots and is good at passing. He now regained his spot as starting forward.

Simo Roni {Age: 28} (Stalliongrad HC Image)
Simo is another great player that once played for Real Santa Maria (and was also born there) and later moved to another team. He is a talented man with a skill set to watchout for if you are playing against. He might be small but he surprisingly has a moderately high level of strength and is unsurprisingly the fastest player in the whole team. He is accurate with shots from short range and he is great at crossing and passing. He will see the field in the tournament.

Haruto Takahashi {Age: 25} (Altomare Image)
Haruto Takahashi was scouted by Altomare when he lived in Villanova and was soon put in the Altomare B team when it was created. He soon became a starter and caught the attention from the front office of the Altomare team, he joined it the first team and soon made an impact as his speed and accurate shots soon propelled his club. Now he has earned a spot in the national team. Will he start at all? Certainly.

Eutimio Salazar {Age: 27} (Ponyville United Image)
Euitimio Salazar is another great forward from Santa Maria, but unlike his counterpart, he decided to play for Real Santa Maria, where he played football for years. After some successful seasons there he was bought by Ponyville United where he plays today. He is a talented man with great speed, shooting power and passing ability but sometimes loses the ball. He is a man to watch for as he will be used in a lot of counteroffensive operations in the game.

André Bonheur {Age: 28} (Atletico Radi Image)
Bonhuer use to be the French speaking (he also speaks other languages mind you) talent of Altomare, now? He is the French speaking talent of Atletico Radi in The Royal Barangay. It seems like that move forced him up to national team status. And his skills show why, he is strong, really strong and yet has a really good speed to him. And while his is nearing the end of his prime he still have 4 years left of fantastic national team football. Expect him to be subbed in when Felix needs that extra shooter.

Constança Rios {Age: 31} (Lyon Image)
Constança is another female player in the national team. She was born in a small town called Portuguesa where, unsurprisingly, they speak Portuguese. She is a talented player with great speed, shooting ability, and if caught in a counterattack, she can easily defend well due to her physical style of play. She will start a game or two in this tournament.

Manager-
Ishikawa Haruka {Age: 25} Image
Ishikawa Haruka (Mikazukian: 石川 遥 , Tinchalian: 石川 遥; born September 28, 1989) is a Mizuyukian football manager and former professional football player. She is also the current manager of Felix, having taken up the post following the sacking of interim coach Manuel Alessandri by the Felixian FA. She is the first ever female manager to take up the reins at Felix, and simultaneously the first foreigner to do so.

Ishikawa is widely regarded as one of the best football managers the nation has ever produced, leading an unheralded Mizuyuki team to a respectable mid-table finish in their first ever World Cup qualifying attempt while also securing a comfortable position in the Casaran Baptism of Fire 52, narrowly missing out on progression to the second stage. Following her maiden World Cup campaign, Ishikawa took a six-month sabbatical from her position and was replaced by Mizuyuki U21 coach Shirakiin Kurumi. In her absence, Shirakiin performed well beyond expectations, lifting Mizuyuki's first piece of silverware in the form of the Market Cup and leading the team to qualification for the World Cup Finals at her first attempt. Shirakiin's unexpected success led the Mizuyuki FA to relieve Ishikawa of her coaching duties and appoint Shirakiin with immediate effect. Finding herself without gainful employment, Ishikawa applied for the vacant post of Felix manager in late 2013 and was ultimately successful, defeating several other qualified candidates by way of a thorough examination process to secure the position.

Ishikawa is known as a progressive coach favouring an attacking style of play. Her teams are renowned for their coruscating, fluid attacking movement and emphasis on possession. She generally employs a forward-thinking 4-2-3-1, and has been known to abandon responsible defending in favour of all-out offensive play.

Jarrett Firmin and William Peters look set to continue their promising defensive partnership with Carson Seabrooke yet again finding himself to be an understudy alongside the impressive Nicholas Van Bree. Cody Roberts and Isiah Bernard also start in a defence largely unchanged since the 54th Baptism of Fire, with Marc Huth being the only other big name on either defensive flank. Charles Diggory gets a surprise call up following an injury late in the Sarian Super League Season for Pierce Newport who was expected to get his first call up.

The midfield is also largely unchanged, based on an FC Chippenham lineup - the only missing piece is the retired Daley Brandon. Ron Fletcher and Edward Fryar will be supported by Rodriguez and eighteen year old Horacio Lopez with Andrew Gold looking set to also make a few caps.

As for the strikers it is same old, same old with an aging Ross Horn being supported by young gun Jordan Lee while regular bench warmers Hectares Matteo and Philippe Andro are joined by Sarian Super League surprise of the season, Turin Janssen.

About The Sarian

On the third of March, 1843 a green and white flag was raised above a group of sixteen barren, cold and mountainous Islands for the first time. In the three centuries that have followed, The Royal Isles has faced separation, war and more crisis then can be remembered.

In the last 100 years, The Sarian has faced the rise and fall of communism, two civil wars , the independence of Lojal, the near independence of Kongelige and that Free Republics incident. But the new United Liberals government promised all of that was to change, so of course the exiled President of Yttribia, Andrew Grimaldi comes to The Sarian and destroys relations between to isles and their Esportivan neighbours , a member of the Executive Council (Cabinet to non-Sarian folk) turns out to be a paedophile, the capital city moves and scientists are warning of impending natural disasters (Which the National Front blaims on homosexuals). Unsurprisingly, the government was recently taken down by a Parliamentary vote, with elections happening in a months time. As for the monarchy, King Nicholas III is one year away from his Bronze jubilee, and he has never been more unpopular, with some people calling for his abdication, in replace of his eldest daughter, Isabella.

Penalty Kick Order of Preference

Staff
Manager: Rick MARTINEZ (58)
The former manager of Deportivo Nespa, where he won the domestic treble in the 2014-15 season. He was appointed with the job on a permanent basis after he guided the national team to another Round of 16 appearance at the Cup of Harmony at Valanora, on which he was managing the team on an interim basis. Martinez is a tackler for discipline and he is willing to drop any player he feels that is not ready for a match. He also schedules training for the senior squad two to three times a week, and anyone who misses training has a low probability of starting the next match. He is the first manager to guide the Agilang Dilaw to its maiden World Cup Finals, at the 68th edition of the World Cup in Legalese and Free Republics.

Assistant Manager: Lorick MANGABAY (46)
Assistant of Rick Martinez while at Deportivo Nespa. He always follow what Rick wants, but he is a hardworking staff. He usually gathers data of upcoming opponents in any way he can, and show it to Rick in order to formulate tactics against them.

Coaches: Jervin Datu (37), Dickson Atencio (37), Soren Morin (42), Isaiah Alquiros (56)
Physios: Solomon Andalencio (45), Edmund Aborita (62)

Style: +2.05
A slightly attacking formation, Martinez utilizes his wingers to deliver dangerous crosses and usually employs overlapping of wingers and fullbacks. This tactic was always seen when he managed the Los Islenos and don't be surprised when he uses it again effectively.
Formation: 4-4-2 diamond, switching to a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-1-2-2-1

Raussland Football Association presents the squad for the Campionato Esportiva X.

Football on Raussland was brought along by the first ship of settlers from West Wray in 1827, but was not formally governed until the formation of the City Cup in 1924 when 6 amateur teams from Moreton competed on a damp patch of grass in the city centre.

The City Cup evolved to contain 24 teams, but from all within Moreton, and clubs from outside the capital were only admitted in 1943. In 1951, when independence came, the Moreton Association of Football Cubs (MAFC) set up a basic league system, consisting of two divisions: Moreton, and Country. The Moreton division often created the stronger teams as they had over half the population and the vast majority of infrastructure.

The Leagues continued in that way until the Great Earthquake of 1979, which badly damaged much of Moreton and put a halt on the football competition completely for two years and the centre of footballing prowess shifted 150 kilometres down the coast to Sunset Bay, where the two current powerhouse clubs: Syndham Athletic & Sunset Heart reside, divided by just 40m of river.

Football in Moreton has regrown slowly over the last 30 years, with the new national stadium, Timber Park, being opened for the national team after 12 years of rebuilding and renovation, and the rise of clubs like Moreton Earthquakes & East Moreton City have steadily rebuilt the city's footballing reputation. The two divisions joined together in 1999,to create the Union Division 1, and that saw a much greater improvement in the standard of football, and the level has returned to pre-1979 levels, perhaps even higher.

Image

The 23 man national team squad has been drawn from the teams of the Union Division, with the core coming from the two Sunset Bay clubs previously mentioned.

Name - Age - Club

Goalkeepers

Nathaniel 'Nate' Bowers, 24, Sunset Heart
Nathaniel, known as Nate to just about everyone in the world, is the beating heart of the defence. Known for his power and strength in and around the goal, Nate provides a solid base at the back of the team which allows the front to express itself in the knowledge that they won't leak too many. Age is on his side too, so expect years of quality keeping.

Alastair Constable, 28, East Moreton City
Bowers' understudy, despite being four years older than him, Constable was for a few years Heart's Number One, but the arrival of Bowers pushed him out the door, and he has since been trying to get back to Heart. A smaller, more agile keeper than Bowers, Constable offers a different brand of keeping, especially useful in penalty shoot-outs.

Nick Coombes, 36, Corlund United
The wily old dog of Rausslandic football, Coombes has been a long time servant of his club Corlund United, who haven't exactly set the world on fire. Season after season he has been a staunch presence between the sticks, with his solid hands and strong boot.

Defenders

LB: Gareth Atkinson, 25, FC Rortand
A sturdy left-back with an eye for bombing runs forward, Atkinson fits perfectly into the manager's system of having a totally shiftable outside. An incredibly versatile player, his speed down the wings make him very dangerous on the counter-attack, but his defence is not anything to be taken lightly either.

LB: William 'Wild' Brown 24, Syndham Athletic
Widely known as a complete nutter, Will Brown has not earned the name Wild easily. Two seasons ago, he saw red for a stamp on an opposing player, was banned for three games, came back, and promptly got banned for three more after two yellow cards. He has a record 14 red cards in his career, and has been fined and banned more than anyone can remember, but he is still nonetheless a terrifying match for the opposition.

LCB: Leigh Cook, 29, Sunset Heart
The strong spine of the team is founded on the defensive efforts of Cook. A tireless competitor, Leigh is up for every single challenge, regardless of his own personal state. He gives 100% every single game and has gotten considerable reward for his efforts, being named Player of the Season last season during Sunset Heart's championship winning campaign.

LCB: Chris Mortensen, 30, Lorretown Rams
Another strong, fit centre back which the Union Division seems to be pumping out at the moment. Prone to lapses in concentration and focus in the final minutes.

RCB: Paddy Graham, 19, FC Rortand
Young and inexperienced, with just 5 senior caps to his name, yet Paddy has been tipped to be the next leader of the national side. A towering centre back with immense skill and strength.

RCB: Ben Forrester, 25, Moreton Earthquakes
The mastermind at the head of the defensive operation. Forrester is always active in both attacking and defending set pieces, constantly vocal and calling people to and from various positions. A tactical master, he's always in the ear of the both the captain and the coach, and his words are always heeded.

CB: Harvey McDonald, 29, Carrington Wolves FC

RB: Kim Malton, 24, East Moreton City
A right-back by training, but can easily fit in anywhere in the defence or midfield. Very useful for counter-attacking football, as he's quite quick and decent with a ball at his feet. Links up well with players further up the field.

RB: Simon Harris, 25, Lorretown Rams
A more traditional, more heavy-hitting right-back, and thus doesn't get the starting place ahead of Malton. Will often be substituted on for Malton however, when the focus is on defence.

Midfielders

LM: Matt Trafford, 21, Sunset Heart
Seriously quick, and likes to show it. There's nothing Trafford does better than get the ball at his feet and motor down the wing, often reaching the byline or similar areas and darting in a low, fizzing cross. Main proprietor of assists within the team.

LM: Alex Edmunds, 28, East Moreton City
A more central player than Trafford, Edmunds likes to move forward with the central midfielders. He gets goals as opposed to assists, but lacks the speed to match the superior Trafford.

CM: Orlan Greene, 24, Syndham Athletic
One half of the Syndam Althetic central midfield duo, Greene is the more defensive of the two. A rock in the middle of the park who won't be budged even by the most awesome of teams. When he gets forward however, he does like the occasional long-range pop at goal.

CM: Brinus Larson, 29, Syndham Athletic
A playmaker wherever there was one, Larson is a master at distributing the ball all over the park. The attacking players run a network, and Larson is the hub of it. He sets most moves in motion with a brilliant spied long ball or a cute chipped through ball, and is always looking to work the ball into space for his team-mates. Brinus has been at the heart of the Syndham Athletic side which has won the title for the last two seasons, notching up 17 assists last year out.

CM: Avery Osbourne, 24, Moreton Earthquakes
A tenacious, workhorse of a player who fits better into the role of defensive midfielder. Avery goes into every tackle with the sole intention of coming out of the other side with the ball. A bit reckless, and likes to get off his feet.

RM: Jeremy St James, 26, Sunset Heart
Another wing player with lightning speed and great footwork. St James completes the Sunset Bay midfield quartet, and brings dazzling close ball control to the table. Deadly in one-on-one situations, St James can be a real headache to even the best defences in the world.

RM: James Harmon, 31, Blue Mountain Rangers FC
A tall, strong winger who likes to make bombing runs down the right wing and swing in crosses, but can occasionally neglect his defensive duties.

AM: Jamie Winslow, 24, Moreton Earthquakes
Plays in the pocket behind Brenlyn Moss up front, and always tries to make the attacking third his own in every game. Jamie loves to make bustling runs into the penalty area and his tricky feet make him very difficult to deal with in tight situations. He always seems to be to do something with the ball, regardless of where or how.

AM: Matthew Nelson, 19, Carrington Wolves FC
Young, inexperienced, but very talented. Will play a supporting role to Jamie Winslow, but expect him to make his breakthrough in a few years.

Strikers

ST: Brenlyn Moss, 25, Sunset Heart
As the lone striker up front, Moss does the work of two. He is constantly moving, always getting into the right areas with great pace and agility. He is a clinical goal scorer, ending the last Union Division season with 27 goals, 7 ahead of his nearest rival. He combines two styles of striker: a poacher, who's always there to finish off the move, and a brilliant individual maestro, who can conjure goals out of nothing. The star player of the team.

ST: Patrick Wellach, 22, Cape Onoria
A fantastically talented footballer, it's just a shame that he plays in exactly the same era and position as Brenlyn Moss. A tall striker who likes to get on the end of crosses and corners, Wellach gives a different striking option, preferring the long ball option for his goals.

(The subjects of my WC/BoF RPs)

Manager: Anthony 'Tony' Rice, 56
Ex Top level player who achieved over 200 caps for the Heart. Coached Rortand for 3 seasons before becoming Heart coach for 6. Took over as National coach in time for Campionato Esportiva.
Assistant Manager: Dwight Anderson, 39
A promising winger in his early days, but a series of injuries seriously curtailed his career, so he turned to coaching. In charge of Carrington Wolves before taking up the assistant's job. Not impartial to a drink or two.
Head Coach: 'Crazy' Lee Dunn, 44
A notoriously hard defender in his playing days, he matured into a notoriously angry coach.

Team Stats Analyst: Nathan 'Bucky' Buck, 25
Nathan graduated from Sunset Bay Royal University with a 1st Class Degree in maths and a first-class passion for football. He looks after the stats of the team, and (so the story goes) once beat Polar Islandstates 11-0 on the World Cup 67 Video game with Lymantatia, on World Class difficulty level.
Tech Intern: Mark 'Fuzzy' Brestol, 21
Not paid, yet does four times the work of anyone else in the camp.
Physio: Lucy Kulmer, 26
Pessimist and vegetarian, that's about it.
Physio: Arianna 'Ari' Morgan, 25
Best friends with Lucy, they generally go around being dark and shifty.
Media Liason: Kerri O'Brien, 29
Former marketing whizzkid, Kerri has not actual footballing experience, playing or otherwise. She says she prefers tennis. Brought into the set-up to deal with the Rausslandic Press, known for their vicious dishonesty.
Player's Assistant: Luke Bryony, 28
A dedicated footballer who never quite made it, but is always trying to chip in to the manager with some tactical advice.
Player's Assistant: Craig Nielsen, 33
Originally from Wray, but he cut his losses and emigrated to Raussland.
Fitness Advisor: Henry 'Killer' Tarnen, 36
Likes kale. And sit-ups. And telling people to do them/eat them, even if they're not actually in the team.

All-Time Record: (W-D-L) (21-14-38)

Coaches:
Head Coach: Daniel Cardona (FEL)
Assistant Coach: Esther Sapp
Assistant Coach: Cecil Herberts

The first Felixian head coach, who led the squad to second place in Felix's Baptism of Fire, is delighted to be apart of this rising squad. The team reminds him of when he was starting off with Felix. His all time record is 24 wins, 20 draws, and 19 losses, and hopes to bring Yttribia some well deserved victories on the pitch of life. He is joined by Cecil Herberts, and Esther Sapp. Herberts was the interim head coach for the sixtieth Cup of Harmony, while Sapp is the head coach of AC Zevella.

About Yttribia:
A nation of 46.000.000, Yttribia is located between the nations in Thrilledge and Byfugland, on the continent of Inferiore, in the region of Esportiva; its capital being Fontvieille. The nation's border between the two countries consists of a mountain range known as the Urellans, where most of the Urellians live. There are six official languages, and (in order of usage) they are: English, Spanish, Catalan, German, French, and Italian. The rest of the nation is mostly at sea level, with some of the most gorgeous beaches in the multiverse.

Culturally, Yttribians are proud of how godforsaken they are, with the majority of citizens being listed as godforsaken. A sizeable minority belong to the satirical church, known as the Church of Vilhjalmsson, and a small minority belong to the Urellian Church of Christ. The government has been shrunken down a bit since the last World Cup, and now most power lies within the regions of Yttribia. Politically, most Yttribians identify on the left, with the Convergence being the largest registered party in the nation. Others include "el Sindicat del Trellabadores" or the Workers' Syndicate, Partito Verde or the Green Party, the Liberal Party, and the Conservative Party, as well as the Corvax Party. However, due to a certain amount of frustration with the government, the Corvax Party are picking up ground in polls, as regional elections are slated to take place during the CE.

The largest five cities in Yttribia are (descending down) Fontvieille, Telino, Gremalsco, Zevella, and Delare Minon.

Home Stadiums
Estadi dels Núvols, Gremalsco, Penedès | cap. 105,000
Image

The largest stadium in all of Yttribia, Estadi dels Núvols now serves as the dual home for the national team, as well as being the current home of Yttribian football club, Gremalsco FC. Finally built for Gremalsco FC's growing amount of fans from all across the nation who seem to travel from the entire eastern side of the nation, the stadium is considered one of the safest in all of the nation, with various food stands and restaurants built inside the stadium, so the place is always busy, whether a match is playing or not. The stadium is barely inside the city limits, and is connected to by the National Railway, and various rapid transit lines.

Le Nid Violet, Fontvieille, FCD | cap. 81,800
Image

A brand new home for Fontvieille FC, and the second largest stadium in the entire nation, Le Nid Violet has hosted various sporting events throughout its short history. The stadium has hosted the forty-ninth UICA Series B Champion's Cup Final, as well as the fourth UICA Youth Cup semi-finals and final match. The stadium has also hosted the final series of the Campionato Esportiva de Pallancesto II, which was won by Taijan. The stadium is considered the most technologically advanced, with a large JumboTron above the pitch, secured from falling down during a match. Located in downtown Fontivieille, the stadium is considered one of the main terminals for the Fontvieille Underground, with various lines passing through the stadium. Underneath the stadium is Fontvieille's largest shopping center and food court, with 250,000 people visiting the shopping center, and food court from Yttribia and Esportiva per week.

Formation:
3-5-2

The end of the wall came when Cardona took over, making the Ravens an offense-orientated squad, thus signaling a brand new era in Yttribian football. The five midfielders can not only switch to attack mode, but they're also able to become defensive wing backs thanks to a scream from Cardona. This is basically able to utilize all chances, whether offensive or defensive.

Roster:
Goalkeepers
#1 - Ulrich Draper - 29 - GK - Mardi Lopunnies (NSI)
#20 - Ferdinand Forney - 29 - GK - FC Delare Minon (1st)
#23 - Gaspard Irvin - 23 - GK - AC Zevella (2nd)

In accordance to the tradition of trying out a new goalkeeper in each edition of the Campionato Esportiva, set by Simon Jewel, Gaspard Irvin is the starting goalkeeper for the Yttribians this CE. He is one of the most agile keepers in the entire league, recording several clean sheets for AC Zevella. If all things go well, Irvin may become the next starting goalkeeper for World Cup 69.

Defenders
#11 - Rico Mathews - 26 - CB - Jungle Strike FC (VIL)
#14 - Dezi Burns - 25 - CB - AC Zevella (2nd)
#15 - Xavi Vilhjalmsson - 27 - Sweeper - Crystopolis City (CRY) (VC)
#17 - Tanner Dickinson - 26 - CB - AC Zevella (2nd)
#21 - Darren Quinones - 28 - Sweeper - Delare Minon FC (3rd)
#22 - Bradley Gaspar - 26 - CB - Miners '47 (APX)

The end of an era in coaching, also meant the end of an era of the 5-3-2. What this meant is that the Yttribian Wall has officially been torn down, and replaced with a more fluid fence. With that, captain Bailey Linville, and Hervé Torres have retired from international football, thanking their fans for the great memories. With that, new vice-captain Xavi Vilhjalmsson has become a more defensive sweeper, and more of centre-back. Tanner Dickinson has also become a more fluid center back, and looks to improve as a player. Rico Matthews and Dezi Burns are the two starting center backs, still playing at their best level.

Midfielders
#2 - Antonio Abreu - 29 - CM - Alianza FC (SJG)
#3 - Onésime Rios - 30 - DM - AC Izotz Zubia (AUD)
#4 - Dado Hale - 19 - LM/RM - Fontvieille FC (1st)
#5 - Jermaine Poole - 22 - CM - FC Delare Minon (3rd)
#8 - Ned Goode - 26 - DM - Northbrook Diamonds FK (PIS)
#9 - Crofton Abbatantuono - 25 - LM - AC Zevella (2nd)
#13 - Michel di Mercurio - 24 - DM - Gesterlake FC (ASG)
#16 - Gustave Mynatt - 32 - CM - Viztourzys Kolektyvinis (BYN) (C)
#18 - Aarón Aiza - 22 - RM - AC Izotz Zubia (AUD)

Bobbie Allard has been left off the squad in place of a youthful, Jermaine Poole. Poole is one of the most underrated midfielders in the entire Premiership, and is able to lead FC Delare Minon to another championship. Ned Goode has finally earned his spot as starter for the Yttribian national team, finally able to put to work skills he learned in one of the premier football leauges to the test. Because of his retirement from international football at the end of this Campionato, Gustave Mynatt wants to go out with a swan song, and a loud one. He has been made captain for this Campionato, and hopes to lead Yttribia to the knock-out rounds of the Campionato. With the new wingers, Aiza and Abbatantuono, close out the midfields, and represent the wings of this new Raven force.

Attackers
#6 - Raúl Monti - 22 - FC - Serraville CC (6th)
#7 - Terry Hyme - 26 - FC - Avenida Principal (FFD)
#10 - Venceslás School - 27 - FC - New Oslo Town (TSA)
#12 - Moisés Fairclough - 25 - FC - Hellenic Rouge (PAS)
#19 - Sacheverell St Pierre - 27 - FC - Montfort University (TLI)

Aydan Hackett, who would have been thirty-two years old had he been selected, is left off the roster. He is replaced by twenty-two year old wizard, Raúl Monti of Serraville CC. Monti was one of Serraville's leading scorers, bringing the club to a respectable fourth in last season's Premiership, and giving the team their first birth in UICA competitions. Terry Hyme, forward for Avenida Principal, is the second forward.

Notes

Noburu Taiyou is a colony of the Free Republics, located in the region of Esportiva. The colony is comprised of a dozen islands, although Hiroketstu is easily the most significant of the islands. Noburu Taiyou was once an independent nation, with a royal family that claimed to have ruled the islands since the dawn of time 4 thousand years ago. According to legend, the first Empress of Taiyou was the daughter of the Sun Goddess, although those legends are no longer widely believed. Everything changed a few decades ago when the Taiyouese military became increasingly powerful, turning the Emperor into a glorified puppet. The military began a series of incursions upon the territory of other nations, eventually crossing out of Esportiva and into the territory of a Federation known as the Free Republics. After a sneak attack on the Free Republics, a war commenced and lasted for 2 and a half years before the Republicans finally conquered Taiyou and turned the Land of the Sun into one of their colonies. Today, the Taiyouese are relatively autonomous, but they still choose to emigrate to the Free Republics in large numbers, angering that nation's notorious nationalist politicians. Although Taiyou is technically part of the Free Republics and Taiyouese are technically citizens of the Free Republics, the Republican Constitution does not apply in Taiyou, a decision made by the victorious Republican military. If the Constitution had been applied to Taiyou, they would not have been able to set taxes high enough to afford to pay back reparations for their wars, let alone pay for any other public goods and besides, the Republican military wasn't exactly inclined to grant those "slants" any rights anyway. Because of this, the Taiyouese authority has the power to ban extremist political parties and uses it to prohibit nationalistic parties and any parties which agitate for independence, since any movement toward Taiyouese independence would only anger the Free Republics. Despite this, Taiyouese independence protests have been happening on an increasingly frequent basis of late.

Taiyouese sports teams generally do not use numbers to identify their players, with the exception of gridiron teams. Gridiron is considered a niche sport anyway in Taiyou. Like all Taiyouese teams, the National Football Team emphasizes team play rather than the individual. Any individual who gets it in his or her head that he or she is bigger than the team will end up being kicked off of the team. Since Taiyouese still generally resent Republican imperialists and individualism is associated with the Republicans, the culture tends to be very conformist. From a young age, Taiyouese footballers are taught the importance of defense and teams tend to care more about maintaining a clean sheet than they do about winning a match. Giving up goals is considered humiliating, even if the Taiyouese lead is insurmountable. The Taiyouese will not quit on any match, so even if they are being blown out, they will continue to give everything they have.

APOX CAMPIONATO ESPORTIVA X ROSTER

Manager: Magnus Fjelden (PIS), Aged 66
Assistant Manager: Gavin Hughes, Aged: 39
Style: -1.5

Spiel: Fjelden and the Red Dragons return, the team making our 7th appearance in Campionato - and we’ve really gone a long time since we’ve last won one. With Round of 16 exits in the last two competitions, it’s really time the side made a good long run into the competition, and with a team as formidable as this, I doubt it would surprise many. However, in terms of our national standing, following a poor World Cup campaign - where we now find ourselves ranked 6th out of Esportivan nation, having previously enjoyed being top dog for many years, we’ll need a good campaign to avoid falling into mediocrity within the region.

Team Record: 118-49-47

Starting XI (Sub caps in brackets)

GK: Ettie Seabrooke - Aged 30 - Image Gwinevra Barbarians - 27 (1) Caps
Ettie Seabrooke has been improving more and more since she joined the national side 7 years ago. Able to control the defense well, and incredibly athletic to boot, she has many years ahead of her in the side, and she has won the Golden Glove award with Gwinevra Barbarians for the last two years, now she’s bringing that staggering form with her to the international stage.

RD: Jack Lerryn - Aged 27 - Image Barbury Town - 32 Caps, 1 Goal
Jack Lerryn is the player who sums up Barbury’s rise perfectly. He was a youngster when they were promoted all those years ago, given faith by Ken Rickwright, and he, like the team has grown and grown in confidence. Now at the peak of his career, his stamina in games in phenomenal, he is continually running throughout the 90 minutes, whether that be in tackling and breaking down an opposition attack, or pushing forwards to see if he can help instigate an Apoxian attack on goal.

CD: Solomon Etezadi - Aged 23 - Image Issington F.C - 29 Caps, 3 Goals
Solomon Etezadi is one of the best products to come out of Issington’s impressive youth academy in the last few years. Aged only 23, he is already a key player and regular in this youthful and inexperienced national team. He is the rock in defense, marshalling the line, hassling the opposition forwards, there to make that crucial tackle, good in the air. He is still a little raw, but that will only improve as he gets older and more experienced.

CD: Nicolas St Teath - Aged 24 - Image Dwile Warriors - 12 (2) Caps
Nicolas St Teath is probably the player who Exton built their rise to international competition standard around. Now at top team Dwile Warriors, St Teath learnt his craft the hard way, battling against the best in the division. Quite a quiet lad, he learns exceptionally quickly and picks up new skills convincingly. He’s finally been rewarded with a first team place for the Campionato, and he’ll need to do well to wrest it permanently from Isner in the World Cup Qualifiers next year.

LD: Hans Nielssen - Aged 32 - Image Granger Dragonites - 71 (7) Caps, 3 Goals
One of the more experienced players in the team, Hans has made the left back position his own over the last few cups, and he is a key player for the team now. Moving from Mandon United to Arka Snezhnaya in Mytannion, he has continued to improve, having had success in Mytannion and is now one of only three players in this squad to have more than 50 caps. Since the recent collapse of Mytannion, he has opted to move to Northern Sunrise Islands, where he now plays with UICA high-flyers Granger Dragonites. Not a stand out performer, but very reliable, he will do his job.

DM: Matthias Sindelar - Aged 35 - Image Barbury Town - 62 (7) Caps, 9 Goals - CAPTAIN
The captain and shining light of the side, Matthias Sindelar matured late as a player, making his national team debut at the age of 25. However, he was quickly made captain of the team once his ability to control the game from the middle was discovered. A versatile player, he is able to play in midfield and defense as well as his preferred defensive midfielder position, where he has the correct blend of attacking and defending to suit him. He is able to pick up a run anywhere across the pitch, and he is very accurate when undertaking long range passes, something no doubt honed by years of taking free kicks and penalties.

RM: Marcus Redwood - Aged 28 - Image FC Endeavour - 14 Caps, 1 Goal
Quite a bold choice by Fjelden to start Redwood instead of the more internationally experienced Trevowah, however, domestically Redwood is much more experienced, and he is a good leadership figure, being captain of his club side, FC Endeavour. He is not the fastest winger in the world, but he makes up for is with his good skills, the ball often times appears glued to his feet. He is also known for making good runs in field, before offloading to someone, giving them a good chance of scoring due to dragging the defense out of position.

CM: Jack Moses - Aged 32 - Image RSK Longyearbyen Town - 72 (5) Caps, 14 Goals - VICE-CAPTAIN
Jack Moses is the more attacking centre midfielder in the team, and is the kind of player who can really go deep into the opposition half and make it look easy. This is in no small part down to him playing the toughest league in the World - the Divisjon 1. Not only does he play there, but he plays well, being the first Apoxian to go to the Islandstates, and being in the top 5 best overseas player list twice and in the top 5 players overall once. He is the highest caps holder currently on the team, and he’ll likely be a part of the national team until he retires. He’s just that good.

CM: Armando Quillisi - Aged 27 - Image Urbanista - 36 (9) Caps, 4 Goals
Armando holds the honour of being the first son to play for the national team - his father Jon Quillisi has one sub cap to his name in the Romili Cup, alas for him the National Team came just too late. However, while Jon was a superb footballer, there is talk of his son being even better, and the current captain of Urbanista is out to prove just that. Armando is a decent free-kick taker and is very versatile in his skills, working hard not to shine all the time, but be so essential that he’s only missed when he’s not playing.

LM: Kaj Aurora - Aged 21 - Image Mâ Alâmëómë - 23 Caps, 3 Goals
The Golden Girl of the current generation of Apoxian footballers. She made her debut aged just 18 with the national team, the second youngest player to do so (only Will Fich was younger). Since then she has moved to Farfadillis where she has impressed greatly, gaining a move to top club Mâ Alâmëómë. Her pace and stamina down the wing are to her credit and despite being quite a diminutive player, she has great strength on the ball, making her skills as a winger all the more important.

ST: Tolgus Tregajorran - Aged 28 - Image Dwile Warriors - 45 (4) Caps, 28 Goals
Tolgus Tregajorran is the team’s star striker, following in the lines of such famous names as Dravid Scott, Chris Maarsden and Keri Ularu. And yet, Tregajorran could surpass them all. On 28 goals, he’s more than halfway to Dravid Scott’s goalscoring mark, and Tregajorran has got years ahead of him in the national side. He’s only 4 goals behind Chris Maarsden in 2nd place. We would go into his skills more, but, they are too numerous. He is the all round striker, and could challenge any other for a place as the best striker in the multiverse.

Reserves
GK: John Lockwood - Aged 26 - Image Urbanista - 7 Caps
John Lockwood is the second goalie, after biding his time patiently behind Joe Frost for many years. Lockwood has improved, and having now been through a tough season with Urbanista two years ago, has become more impressive as a result. However, he has been known to make the odd mistake when in goal, and that is why Ettie Seabrooke is currently ahead of him in the pecking order.

GK: Alan Eustathios - Aged 22 - Image Barbury Town - Uncapped
Alan Eustathios has performed excellently, joining the first team just as Barbury Town were beginning their rise from UICA hopefuls to title winning mega squad. It is hard to believe Alan is still so young, after how well he performed last season domestically, in a season which saw Barbury earn their first ANL title. However, this domestic success should help him out in international competitions, and with the addition of Eustathios to the squad, Apox have a frighteningly good set of goalkeepers to choose from now.

CD: Isner - Aged 28 - Image Bastion - 17 (5) Caps
Half Sunrisian, Isner is a tough rugged defender, sometimes aggressive, sometimes a little wild. This aggression has seen him drop to the bench for this Campionato Esportiva campaign, however, you can bet he’ll be back, fighting for his place, soon enough.

LD: Ben Hatem - Aged 27 - Image Urbanista - 4 (2) Caps
The understudy to Hans Nielssen, Ben Hatem is the fourth Urbanista player in the squad, testament to Urbanista’s desire to play Apoxian players. Hatem is getting better and better since his move from Wrexton a couple of season’s ago, although it will still be a year or so until he is ready to challenge Nielssen for that starting place.

CM: Jack Demir - Aged 27 - Image Glenmount Town - 3 (1) Caps
Jack muscled his way into the squad after a very successful season with Glenmount Town in the Licentian Isles, a season which saw the unheralded squad storm to the title in dramatic and surprising fashion. Jack was at the centre of that, and he impressed in his couple of runs out with the national team as well. A creative mind and good at defending when needed, he is a good addition to the side, although he will likely be used in a substitute role this Campionato Esportiva.

ST: Adnan Zozula - Aged 21 - Image Wye United - 2 Caps, 1 Goal
Adnan had an impressive first season heading the line at Wye United in the top tier, and the fact that he is still there is testament to his loyalty to the club. He is a very pacy player, skilful on the ball, good ball control and impressive game awareness for one so young. It is clear he will be a big part of the national team’s future, and he makes the nod ahead of Maxim Kolo for the Campionato - Fjelden clearly eager to give him some more game experience ahead of the World Cup qualifiers next year.

RD: Athelstan Firth - Aged 34 - Image Issington F.C - 16 (7) Caps
This could well be his last tournament with the national team, but the grizzled Issington defender will just be pleased to have been part of the team as it continued to grow and rise in ability. He is a strong and athletic defender who is quite a scary sight in defense for those people attacking. A player who will likely play against those physical teams. This is likely to be the defenders last tournament in the core 23 of the squad, age means other defenders are simply better than him a lot of the time now.

CD: Julian Iremonger - Aged 25 - Image Hoxplohsiv Rastred'Madaa - 1 (1) Cap
Another one of Fjelden’s surprises, Iremonger put in a series of impressive performances in the ANL before being transferred to Paradystopia. Despite the potentially decadent culture that exists within, his football hasn’t seemed to suffer, and his performance against Lojal was so impressive that clearly he was thought to be worth bringing to either Felix or German American States for the Campionato.

ST: Martin Roskorwell - Aged 27 - Image SK Aasiaat Harbour - 20 (2) Caps, 8 Goals
Martin Roskorwell is a player at his peak - lighting up Divisjon 1 in the few seasons he’s been there since moving from Exton F.C, a club he helped to improve massively from relegation fighters to UICA contenders. Roskorwell is the classic striker, tall, lanky, good in the air, and although he had to wait to have his chance to shine, waiting behind Tregajorran for years, the last qualifiers saw him really prove what potential he has as a player. Expect to see plenty of game time for him this CE.

RM: Ivo Trevowah - Aged 26 - Image Jan Mayen Islanders - 29 (2) Caps
Another member of the Polarian legion, Trevowah has been impressive domestically for a number of seasons now. However, he was never really able to transfer that form to the international stage, and for now he sits behind Marcus Redwood in the pecking order. However, they both have good traits, and therefore will likely be switched around a bit. Trevowah’s best strength is his pace and his crossing accuracy, he is able to whip in a cross right onto the head of the forward lurking in the box.

CM: Wifried Lidgley - Aged 26 - Image 1830 Cathair - Uncapped
It is quite a surprise to see Lidgley make the squad for the Campionato, however, if you’d been paying attention to the LigAnaia at all over the last season, you’d understand that the man they call, “The Lidge”, has been tearing up the league with 1830 Cathair, as his side finished second. It is a high point in his story, discarded by Gwinevra Barbarians several seasons ago, struggling to find a place in the ANL, he appears to have finally settled somewhere.

LM: Jesper Lee Coleman - Age 21 - Image Gwinevra Barbarians - 2 (1) Cap
Another exciting player for the future, Jesper Lee Coleman has had a good couple of seasons with Gwinevra Barbarians as the team slowly rebuilds to launch another sustained assault on the top of the ANL. He probably won’t get many minutes though, as Kaj Aurora is the starter in his position, and she is the same age and the better player (though both have played for Gwinevra Barbarians.)

Imperial Albaie National Team

The nation is still in a period of rebuilding following the war but the team remains the same. William Dubrack Dubrackson leads the team out for another tournament hoping for the international teams first success. Mark Deberen and Edward Mercer continue their interim stint in the managerial dugout with Vincent Debren The Elder still in a coma inside hospital. Following the success of the change in tactics during the World Cup to have a more attacking style which allowed to score more goals and made for even better play.

Deberen has stated his aim for this competition. Albaie have to qualify for the next round and then make it through the first knockout stages. Deberen has promised reform in the team if they can't achieve his expectations. Deberen has already stated that he expects their to be a change in the next squad and has hinted at Urup and Kewer leaving the squad due to their age. This hint has been all but confirmed with Urup not signing on a new contract at Uran United.

The Emperor who remains in hospital after his shooting has been promoting the use of football to reunite the nation through the mouth piece of his regent the Lord Imperial Michael Deberen. Since becoming Lord Imperial Deberen has signed into law the Imperial Football League Reform Act and the Football Reunification Act. The first which has been done to hopefully bring the Premier League and the Football League up to international standard and increase the amount of players coming through while the second means that village parishes throughout the Imperium have been receiving subsidies to improve the standard of grass roots football.

Staff
Count Vincent Deberen The Elder LCOTIO KOTB -Manager. Deberen Albaie's only manager in the recent Multiverse Era has lead our team to great heights during the Campionato Esportiva but the recent qualification campaign has besmirched his record. Hopefully Deberen can rebuild the team and lead it back to its former glory. Deberen also managers Dubrack's Town Celtic the Imperial Bank Premier League powerhouse who also have started making waves on the continental scene. Deberen is also a former player who holds all goalscoring records in the country and is Albaie's most capped ever player with 178 caps and with 167 goals shows what a star he was. Not to be confused with Vincent Deberen The Younger who is his 16 year old son who happens to play for both Dubrack's Town Celtic and the Albaie National Team. Even though he keeps his place as manager he is still incapacitated following a car crash and has remained so throughout the Second Albaie Revolution.

Brigadier Lord Mark Deberen DC SRC AS Bar MS DSM of the 77th Brigade Deberen's Dragons - Caretaker Manager. Mark another member of the Deberen sporting dynasty who as son of Vincent Deberen The Elder was widely touted as his successor and at the young age of 15 was playing in a Under 19's match for his fathers club Dubrack's Town Celtic against local rivals Albaie Rangers to prepare for his starting debut when a vicious challenge broke his leg in two places and the young lad announced his retirement but a week later was announced as Head of Youth Team Liaisons at Dubrack's Town Celtic where he took lessons from his father and started doing his coaching badges and by the age of 20 he was Head of First Team Coaching under his father and alongside Sir Arthur Sportern was his father's closest ally. Mark then left the club at 24 to manage the struggling Maras Wolfs and in his first season won the Emperor's Shield and the Imperial Bet Championship and so secured promotion to the Imperial Bank Premier League. In the team's first season in the top flight Mark completed the unthinkable not only winning the Albaie Cup but the Imperial Bank Premier League itself a feat unrivalled in Albaie footballing history. Then at the end of the season he announced his resignation and returned to fill the space left by Arthur Sportern as he became Head of the AFA and made a duke. Mark then at the beginning of last season filled the gap left by Stephen MacMillan at international level who left to head the Imperial Commission for Improvement In Football under Duke Arthur Sportern at the AFA being made a Count in the process. Has taken over his father's managerial position in his absence. After a successful World Cup and his return to the war torn nation he joined up into the Imperial Army raising a brigade known as Deberen's Dragons with 5,000 infantry men, 1,500 horsemen and 500 artilleryman with cannons as well. His war service was exceptional and he saw combat in many battles one of which the Battle of Horseton in which he won the battle with a valiant horsecharge but sustained a fierce face wound resulting in a much altered appearance. Over the course of the war he was awarded a DC a AS and a SRK for his valiant service as well as being allowed to start his own cadet branch House Deberen of Horseton with the lordship of Horseton being granted to him having slayed it's rebel lord in the battle. At the Battle Of Harlington Hall Mark and Vincent Deberen snuk behind enemy lines with their troops and played havoc on the enemy rear effectively causing distractions that enabled the Emperor's troops to win the battle with minimal losses. Mark was awarded with a DSM and a AS for his service as well as having his estates expanded by 2,000 acres from territory taken from rebel soldiers.

Chief Of Staff Colonel Lord Edward " Lucky " Mercer DC AS SRC MC MS of the 77th Brigade Deberen's Dragons - Goalkeeping Coach / Caretaker Assistant Manager - " Lucky " is a former youth player for Dubrack's Town Celtic and Albaie but he suffered a serious injury his career was over. He then saw service in the 77th Dubrack's Town Light Infantry during the Second Advar Revolution when he sided with the Crown Prince during the Battle Of Advaria and then served by his side during the conflict and was well decorated with a Dubrack Cross and an Albert Star as well as a Saint Ruk Cross for his good service as well as being made a Knight of Saint Arthyr for saving the Crown Prince's life on three occasions. " Lucky " then joined the Imperial Guard but saw a stagnation in his career as he was posted to service with unimportant members of the Imperial Family and then finally service as a guard at the AFA which is where Count Vincent Deberen recruited him as a coach and he quickly rose through the ranks at Dubrack's Town Celtic and Albaie and became a key man in the Campionato Esportiva. He was a key part of the last World Cup campaign. " Lucky " joined Sir Mark as his second in command and the two saw great service in the war and were both richly awarded and " Lucky " was raised to a lord and has become one of the key men of the loyalist army.

About SJG National Team

In cycle 68, SJG has shown that it is no longer the old weak, now looks much more energized than ever after having qualified for the WC Finals for the first time, where did a very good job and was eliminated in phase group, after fighting to the end for the pass to round of 16.

For this CE 10, the players are in good time, especially Rodolfo Zelaya, who made a spectacular season in Northbrook Diamonds, the Polar Islandstates Divisjon 1, now players looking to excel in the Championship Esportiva and demonstrate that increased quality, and looking more than ever to prove to his neighbors Gregoryisgodistan once and for all who is the best.

Play style: The game who SJG does, is essentially technical, based on the agility of movement of players, using his intelligence for the game for single passes very accurate soil to accumulate players when attacking or using the surprise factor which is use the speed of the players to perform counterattacks that can hurt any team.

In the defense area, they tend to use more physical to play aggressively without damaging the rivals, except that the defenses are of medium height stands that are agile in the aerial game, so it is very difficult to beat thereby, expect always a fair game from this team.

Players like try long-distance shots to beat the goalkeeper, but SJG can have more surprises because it is a team that does not give up that easy.

Specialities: Free kick.

IC: Important Info

Fans. Football hooliganism is a real problem in SJG. With riots recently reported in the matches against Paradystopia, the SJGNFA is trying to find a way to protect guest fans. Also, fans will treat the fans of the following nations heatedly, some for having a rivalry like SJG VS Darmen, Gregoryisgodistan and Astograth. However Security topic is seriuously for the safety of visiting fans.

SJG covers 56,312,121 square kilometers and has has an estimated population of 800.000,000. SJG comprises of 16 provinces or Departamentos.

Etymology
The origin of the name cames from the spanish "Campo de guayabas" (Guavas County) (Vulgar: Guayabal) by the abundance of guavas, in 1770 was imposed as the patron of the town Saint Joseph (San José; In spanish) by this reason the name is San José Guayabal (Eng. Saint Joseph Guavas)

History
The village emerged in the mid-eighteenth century, and was known as Guayabal by the abundance of guava. In 1770, according to Pedro Cortés y Larraz (Spanish colonizer), had a population of 593 people "without being subject to any authority."

Indeed, the mayor Mayor Jose Ortiz de la Peña actual surveyor commissioned Don Francisco Jose Vallejo to chart a plan of the new town, which was founded on November 13, 1786 as a people's Guayabal. For 1807 had a population of 1,150 inhabitants.

Under the rule of El Salvador

He was part of the department of San Salvador from 1824-1835, the year he spent in the district of Suchitoto Cuscatlan. For 1859 it had a population of 2,302 inhabitants, which by 1890 had risen to 5,830,000. He received the title of town in 1875, and the city in 2006.

Independence of SJG:

The March 29, 2013, in protest of its 400 million people by the mistreatment of El Salvador, it was decided to wean and the same day, El Salvador accepted independence.

Through time, international litigation, could colonize El Salvador and then arrive to the continent of andarica in Esportiva

Population
According to the latest census (August 2013) was calculated in Guayabal a population of 800 million people, of which are classified into only five ethnic groups, which are:

-Guayabalenses/Guayabalians: 31%
-Salvadorans: 20%
-British: 19%
-Russians: 17%
-Eskimos: 13%

Of which are of different religions:

-Evangelical Christian: 96%
-Catholics: 2%
-Protestants: 2%

Language
The national languages of under Article 8 of the Constitution of the Federation of San Jose Guayabal, adopted in The Honorable People's Parliament are: English, Spanish Guayabalense, Russian, and Eskimo (Most used are: English, Spanish and Guayabalian), encouraging the use of language Guayabalian in:

- All daily activities as the language of communication between citizens of the Federation.

-support their teaching in public schools, private schools and universities in the San Jose Guayabal Federation.

But the SJG citizens talk the following languages:

-Spanish: 30%
-Guayabalian: 30%
-English: 15%
-Eskimo: 13%
-Russian: 12%

But 95% of the population has at least advanced knowledge of five languages, making society a society Guayabalense polyglot, highly acculturated and interesting to interact.

NEW SIDEBURN
Preferred Formation:
4-4-2
Style Modifier: 0
Playstyle: Low on possession, but high on pressure, with fast play and short passing. Extremely physical, but will never dive, go to ground easily, or intentionally handball.
Home Stadium: The Farham Arena in Sabrefell. Capacity of 88,000, no attached club.
Kit Supplier: Kirola
Nickname: The Cormorants

Last year, the Sideburnese enjjoyed stunning success - after a strong qualifying campaign and nervy playoff victories against the higher-ranked Farfadillis and Inevitable Syndicate, who both would have felt the World Cup was their natural place, they came to the World Cup with more than a few wondering if they were lucky just to be there. Victories over San Jose Guayabal, Cassadaigua, a draw against the hosts and eventual runners-up the Free Republics and a moment of revenge to beat Valladares, who had been invincible in their shared qualifying group, 4-3 - these results took them to the quarterfinals, and there was no shame in eventual defeat to the Polar Islandstates.

That was a year ago. Now, the Cormorants, who most would have pegged natural favourites to win their third Campionato, are a team in transition. Gerd Thunder is gone. Crowley wasn't chosen. Stokes, Harper, Brightley and Finnan are in their thirties. Shrike's well past her prime. Meanwhile, six uncapped players (including four midfielders) enter the squad. The Cormorants are still among the strongest in Esportiva... but this isn't last year's squad, and it won't be an easy stroll to victory.

Overall Record
102 wins - 25 draws - 35 losses
323 scored - 199 conceded

Honours
Champions of the 51st Baptism of Fire, Campionato Esportiva VI and VIII and Market Cup VI.
Qualified for World Cup 67 and 68.
Quarterfinalists in WC68 - the first Esportivan to make it that far.

First Team

Most RPs will list the next game's formation, but this is the strongest team the Cormorants can field.

Jess MORTLOCK - 47
Manager

Questions were asked at first about Mortlock's suitability for the role of manager - the primary complaint her lack of experience. After a terrible title defence in the Campionato, playing and losing one, she's put those demons to rest. Very tactically astute, Mortlock's style is all about dominance - their opponents might see a lot of the ball, but be able to do precious little with it, while the Cormorants threaten to score with every attack.

Darryl BOYDEN - 54
Assistant Manager

Boyden, whose short and chequered managerial career has been plagued with bad luck and debt, took the job basically because it couldn't possibly be worse than working with Vermillion. The irritable manager has proven a rather unlikely ally in the fight for youth to be represented in the squad, and has done well in his role as U-21 manager.

Auburn BYWATER - 29
Whip

Hired by Gethin Ramsey in the 66 Cycle, one of the express terms set out by Ramsey upon his departure from the national side was that Bywater be kept on as whip. It's an unusual role at which the young former journalist excels - putting a bit of stick about until the players stand in line properly.
1 - Kieron RIORDAN - 32 - Dwile Warriors (APX)
56 caps, 22 clean sheets

A strong, seasoned goalkeeper, agile, good with distribution and decent with the ball at his feet. Riordan's the sort of goalkeeper with no real weaknesses, and it's his consistency that serves him best - he's not the sort to make dreadful howlers, or take risks on the ball. He's played the hero more than once, too, a few penalty saves for the national team, and those memories are fresh in the minds of most fans.

12 - Reece COLEMAN - 28 - AFC Mayville (EUR)
Uncapped

Coleman's superb form for his club finally earned him a call-up many felt was due - this seems to be the proof, then, that he will be Riordan's direct successor. A straightforward shot-stopper, but a very good and consistent one, and unafraid to come off his line and contest the ball.

20 - Diandra BALLARD - 23 - Crisisbless
Uncapped

Ballard was already the second-best goalkeeper in the league at the age of 22, having been the best goalkeeper in Taijan for her two years on loan before that, and part of the AFC Treason youth team that made it to the Youth Cup final. Ballard, in short, has been marked for glory - she'll have to wait her turn for now, but practically everyone can see that she will wear the number 1 someday.
2 - Anna SHRIKE - 33 - Mâ Âlâmëómë (FFD)
Right-back
124 caps, 7 goals

Shrike netted three goals last cycle, often at truly crucial moments, which makes it difficult for anyone to try to rotate her out of the time. This year, however, as the oldest player in the squad, Shrike is surely going to be rotated out more games than not. Still, with her aggressive nature and great skill on the ball, she really has got what it takes to give the squad something extra in tight games.

3 - Cathy STOKES (c) - 30 - AFC Treason
Left-back
112 caps, 3 goals

Though then usually a substitute, Cath Stokes has been here since the very beginning, one of the youngest players in the BoF-winning squad. Since her stint as the number 22, she's secured her place in the first-team, been a star for her club as they won back-to-back titles, had a series of increasingly surreal dreams, slept with Konrad Evans, broke up with Konrad Evans and became captain. A very good all-around left-back, whether going forward or marking back.

5 - Karl FINNAN - 30 - Crisisbless
Centre-back
39 caps, 2 goals

Centre-back has tended to be a problem position for New Sideburn, each coming with their own problems. Strongnesse was old, Harm was reckless, Yorke was unexceptional and Belfast was inconsistent. Finnan, however, seems to solve most of these issues - a solid, straightforward defender, in the prime of his career. A classic Sideburnese number 5 - and his legend is secure after literally concussing himself to score a header against the Licentian Isles.

6 - Tosca MARLOWE - 26 - AFC Treason
Centre-back
55 caps, 1 goals

Marlowe's a solid, skilled centreback whose specialty is in clean sliding challenges. She's a patient marker who rarely goes in late. With great anticipation, a fine mentality and a firm but generally fair physicality, she's a bulwark at the back for the Cormorants.

13 - Amanda CLOUGH - 25 - Brinemouth
Left-back
13 caps, 1 goals

The unremarkable Clough, who had been capped at the U-21 level during her time at Corvette, seemed an unlikely choice to join star-studded Brinemouth - but her first season proved her a natural fit for Larissa Garotte's fluid, naturalistic playstyle. Primarily defensive-minded, but her attacking play has come in leaps and bounds since her move to the Dockers.

17 - Hadrian BELFAST - 26 - Dwile Warriors (APX)
Centre-back
41 caps, 0 goals

For a few years it seemed like it might not happen for Belfast - after an inconsistent WC67 that saw him fall out of favour for Karl Finnan, he might be set to win his position back after a good first season in Apox. Belfast and Marlowe was always the defensive partnership that was supposedly destined to be - could this be the year it sticks?

19 - James SLEET - 28 - AC Tallin (VAL)
Right-back
30 caps, 1 goal

Snowy Sleet must surely feel like he's about to make his breakthrough at last. The 28-year old has been a stalwart, and now in the prime of his career looks set to finally set himself in the starting XI on a consistent basis.
4 - Michael BRANDON - 28 - Directus (EUR)
Holding Midfielder
64 caps, 2 goals

Deep-lying playmaker and midfield anchor in equal measure, Brandon is every inch the archetypal Sideburnese holding midfielder. He's a steadying presence for the squad, the kind who makes those around play better knowing he's covering them. This is entirely necessary, His sharp passing makes him a constant threat to start counter-attacks, too.

7 - Catheline HARPER - 30 - AFC Treason
Right Midfielder
58 caps, 11 goals

A strong physical presence, heavily tattooed along her arms and with boundless energy, Harper's a classic Sideburnese midfielder, and her eye for goal is more than most people have tended to associate with her. Notching up five goals last cycle, plus her threat from set pieces, Harper was one of the standout players in the Cormorants in the World Cup, but she's facing a challenge for her place from Farf-based Kylie Penrith.

8 - Rutger LOCKE - 22 - Royal Rumiatzi (AST)
Central Midfielder
Uncapped

Locke is the third and most recent of Raven River's superb prospects to make it into this team - the others being Bittencourt and Penrith.

10 - Dale BRIGHTLEY - 31 - Basin Plain (UGO)
Attacking Midfielder
114 caps, 41 goals

The first Sideburnese player to score in the World Cup, there's a feeling that Brightley might be on the way out, as his level of skill is no longer unique to the squad. That said, he's still a legendary figure, and an immensely talented player who could add that little something special to the team.

11 - Jess LEINSTER - 24 - Violence Chariots
Left Midfielder
16 caps, 2 goals

The Chariots have established themselves as a top-six team, and Leinster's breakthrough was key to that. She tends to sit on the ball before dashing forward into space and laying the ball across into the box - doesn't score many herself, but more than makes up for it with her ability to create chances for others.

16 - Eloise PARRISH - 25 - Maximum City
Right Midfielder
Uncapped

A small, bright ginger, Parrish's technique more than makes up for her lack of physical presence. She delights in running at defences and beating her markers, but it's her long, unerring hooked crosses that so often make the difference.

18 - Andrea CROWE - 28 - Mardi Loppunies (NSI)
Holding Midfielder
10 caps, 1 goal

A creative holding player, perhaps not a midfield enforcer but capable of clean challenges and persistent marking. Crowe's passing is by far her strongest asset, but she's been known to fancy herself with long, driving shots - you can't give her any space to go forward, or she'll punish you.

22 - Kylie PENRITH - 23 - Flying Jellyfish (FFD)
Right Midfielder
Uncapped

The word that most commonly comes to mind with Penrith is 'buccaneering'. Or perhaps 'swashbuckling'. Either way, she's a player with genuine flair, perhaps the only one in the squad to really be a flamboyant player... besides a certain other Farf-based right-sided player, ten years her senior. Either way, Penrith is a crowd-pleaser, strong and persistent in the attack, perhaps a little unskilled in defence, but by no means with a low work-rate.

23 - Uli ALSATIAN - 30 - FC Torshavn (PIS)
Central Midfielder
Uncapped

A perpetual dark horse for the national team, Alsatian has finally made it into the first 23. For Alsatian, the transition into the Polar leagues was a less than seamless one, relegated in his first season, but his performance earned a transfer where he's been solid for Torshavn. He offers a strong box-to-box presence, and always fancies himself to go forward.
9 - Konrad EVANS - 29 - Gortz United (AST)
Striker
37 caps, 20 goals

Evans, at 29, often makes people think he's younger than he is. His abilities lie primarily in technique, pace and a superb left boot, and while short by Sideburnese striker standards (just 5'11") his finesse in possession makes him a terror for defenders to deal with, and often draws fouls. Legitimate, 'you tried to kick my shins out from under me' penalties, too - not just falling over when someone breathes on you.

14 - Keith ROWLAND - 27 - Holdenberg (EUR)
Striker
21 caps, 10 goals

Keith 'Judas' Rowland is a well-balanced centreforward. Fast and good with the ball at his feet for a decently big lad, Rowland's an unselfish striker who prides himself on contributing to multiple phases of play, pressing defenders and holding up the ball. Not that he's poor in front of goal - in fact, he was the nation's top scorer in the 67 cycle - just that he's more well-rounded than a pure target man, and offers something different to the squad. He hopes to bounce back straight into the first team after missing the World Cup, due to a humiliating relegation.

15 - Rook CATHAR - 26 - East Franz Athletic (PIS)
Striker
28 caps, 18 goals

Cathar was always going to come good in a generic sense, but it's only recently he's been on fire. Largely two-footed, tall, strong, and industrious - Cathar has often been described as 'Gerd Thunder, but with pace'. It's not a perfect analogy - Cathar is less of a physical presence (like basically everyone), less experienced and less inclined to pressure defenders, but when it comes to smashing goals in he's unmatched. A truly world-class striker to lead the line for New Sideburn; exactly what the side needs.

21 - Cheney BITTENCOURT - 26 - AFC Treason
Striker
19 caps, 10 goals

A technical and fast player who has developed significantly as a player in the past couple of years - gifted with the ball at his feet, Bittencourt relishes the chance to take defenders on and move past them into threatening positions. While he hasn't developed into any more of an aerial threat, he can be counted upon to shred defences and finish low shots with confidence.

1 - Kieron Riordan (Dwile Warriors, APX)
12 - Reece Coleman (AFC Mayville, EUR)
20 - Diandra Ballard (Crisisbless)

2 - Anna Shrike (Mâ Âlâmëómë, FFD)
3 - Cathy Stokes (AFC Treason, c)
5 - Karl Finnan (Crisisbless)
6 - Tosca Marlowe (AFC Treason)
13 - Amanda Clough (Brinemouth)
17 - Hadrian Belfast (Dwile Warriors, APX)
19 - James Sleet (AC Tallin, VAL)

4 - Michael Brandon (Directus, EUR)
7 - Catheline Harper (AFC Treason, vc)
8 - Rutger Locke (Royal Rumiatzi, AST)
10 - Dale Brightley (Basin Plain, UGO)

9 - Konrad Evans (Gortz United, AST)
14 - Keith Rowland (Holdenberg, EUR)

21 - Cheney Bittencourt (AFC Treason)
The old ways were best!

Original nation behind Nephara. New Sideburn now symbolises an ideal, rather than a nation.

Although the black strip is Paradystopia's official 'home' kit, the team will play in the pink away strip as often as they can. The rumour is that superstitious Mukalo Rotanapai has come to the conclusion the team's overall results are better when the 'away' kit is used. Therefore the team will generally play in pink.

Paradystopia

Management

Image
Manager: Mukalo Rotanapai
After winning the post in an ill-conceived reality TV show during the eighth Campionato Esportiva, Mukalo has completely revamped the national side bringing in a lot of young players and completely overhauling the tactics. The 52 year old Vaian has 19 years experience in the top flight of Vaian football. 11 of those with Wakita United with whom he achieved 3 league titles. It is hoped he can bring some of this success to the Paradystopi team, building upon their third place finish in the Campionato Esportiva IX
Image
Assistant Manager: Chester Kat
Mukalo's assistant was a fellow competitor on the aforementioned show. However, during the filming, the pair struck up a strong friendship and the rest as they say, is history. Hailing from the small Paradystopi colony of Mousebane Islet, Chester was previously manager and captain of the team Scratchpost Hillock.

Goalkeepers

Kjn Volgjsrhaad #1
– F.C. Endeavour (Apox) – age 32
A permanent fixture of the Paradystopi football team and now it's first choice for captain, Kjn is most commonly known for his huge stature and trademark grizzly beard. At just over 7' tall (c. 2.15m), he is truly dominating in the air and his arm-span alone can cover a large percentage of the goal. He stereotypes the term 'gentle giant' with a very calm demeanor which is sometimes mistaken for passivity. A workhorse who leads by example.
Jon Jack #40
– Po City (PLI) – age 18
With Kjn Volgjsrhaad's international retirement obviously in the pipeline, Youth talent in the form of Jon Jack will take the place of Kinshishish Booch Kumping on the Paradystopi bench. A clever and energetic young keeper.
Jon Proud #26
– The Artisans - age 26
Given what he's up against, Jon has accepted more of an apprentice role with the national team. A good prospect for the future if a little rough 'round the edges presently.

Defenders

Perri Mournwinter #16
– Black Star ve Kwjg – LWB/LB - age 24
This young defender is beginning to make waves at Black Star. Though a little heavy-handed with the aggression (which many attribute to some Communadi lineage), the passion he exudes undeniable. A competent defender and a dangerous wing-back
Rhosh Joyles #19
– Whilliumiborough Swagger – LB - age 24
Rhosh is a cautious young man who will stick to the task at hand as though his life depends upon it. A little cumbersome with possession but good at dispossession often more by luck than judgement.
Marvin Marvkinson #23
– Stivarnel GU (Earent) - CB – age 25
'Marv' is a indefatigable prankster. Chirpy and the eternal optimist, Despite being a technically able defender, he likes to push forward and challenge opponents with an array of tricks. Results can however, vary.
Felix-Oscar Pfjffjjjhorhax #99
– Zephyrous Knoll (MBI) - CB – age 5
A new young player brought in under the recommendation of Chester Kat. The latest footballing sensation of the Mousebane islet who by a pair of Paradystopi foster parents is classed as a Paradystopi citizen. Felix-Oscar is in possession of a fiendishly accurate and swift slide tackle and also a wicked dribbler of the ball. His passing is weak however and he'll usually lay the ball off to teammates and make dummy runs rather than attempt any long-range passes. A spectacular jumping ability means he's a particularly troublesome opponent on corners and set pieces. His surname is actually a rare yet respected Paradystopi name dating from the times of knights and gallantry. The correct pronounciation is 'Fie-fie-jzhoracks', or something like that.
Astrall Standstall #4
– Djnamo Sabrjk – CB - age 28
Another seasoned international, Astrall can at times be a little wayward. Frequently he'll sacrifice positioning in order to challenge a player. A bit of an oddball but generally good-natured and a respected defender despite his tactical short-comings.
Evelyn Paradys #2
– Adi Saa Academicals – CB - age 29
Originally Communadi, Evelyn (and several others) defected to Paradystopi during the brouhaha of the Esportivan war. She has no problems with being seen as a Communadi stereotype and often plays up to it in a twisted humour sort of way. Strong, aggressive, single-minded and precise, she is arguable the best defender in Paradystopia currently.
Hari Selk #14
– Nhorton vo Mirrun – RB - age 26
Hari is another player, like Booch, who seems doomed to spending his entire international career on the bench or playing the closing minutes of games. Nippy and good in the air, his usual use is as an additional goal threat in close games without sacrificing a back four.
Rhuth Savhis #28
– Black Star ve Kwjg - RB/CB – age 27
Rhuth is an interesting personality. Her pinpoint long-passing and natural talent as a playmaker make her more akin to a midfielder. Quiet, thoughtful and somewhat of an activist. She turned down a transfer to the Lhadyfee Artisans on the grounds she believes an all-female team needlessly sexist.

Midfielders

Ranjeev Vhornam #5
– Dzias Riot - CDM – age 23
'Jeeves' has a little experience now within the national team and is maturing into a fine defensive midfielder. Technically, a solid defender although his slight build leaves him lacking the raw strength necessary for a full back. Not afraid to have a speculative effort at goal even if his accuracy leaves a lot to be desired.
Rhoddri Tuz'rirhan #24
– Alsabaszi - CDM – age 27
The second defensive midfielder on the roster is a real brute. A relentless powerhouse whose tackles can often be felt in the stands. Rhoddri is most often used as a pre-defensive wall when the match plan revolves around maintaining a lead.
Khalvin Horros #25
– Dzias Riot - LM – age 24
Khalvin is a quick wing player with a decent cross. Sadly over-shadowed by Ms. Khayr, Khalvin is a capable midfielder with an infectious optimism. He'll be happy with 30 seconds on the pitch and will give 110% for every moment.
Khorinnha Khayr #33
– Rogglebo TU (Earent) – LM/LCM - age 22
Following a sensational debut season with Whilliumiborough, Khorinnha won young player of the season within the Paradystopi league. Agile and skillful, she typifies the renowned flair of this club. More than happy to challenge opposing players but also knowing the correct moment to loop in a cross. A threat to any defense.
Morgana Foloris #7
– Gwinevra Barbarians (Apox) - CM/RCM – age 28
Since defecting from the Commune, Morgana has become a driving force within the Artisan squad and a respected Paradystopi midfielder. Not quite as brusque as her country-mate, Evelyn Paradys, she is still headstrong and powerful. A meticulous tactician, she is often the vocal force upon the pitch.
Yani Flodrantezt'rirhan #8
– Whilliumiborough Swagger - CM – age 29
Yani is a vitriolic player, aggressive and hot-tempered. His major attributes are his dribbling speed and strength in the air. After a lacklustre season with the Jimmies, he's be lucky to see any decent time on the field this time around.
Kharon Ohltfeld #21
– Nhorton vo Mirrun – CM/CDM - age 23
Having played his first season on the Nhorton first team, Kharon is beginning to make a name for himself in Paradystopi football. An ebullient personality but a calm head when it matters. He's also shaping up to be a skilled set-piece taker.
Sjmon d'Kolperiskonjf #12
– Flying Jellyfish (Farfadillis) – RM/RWB - age 24
Originally a defensive midfielder with a penchant for playing out wide, Sjmon has had a good season with Black Star and is looking to not waste a chance to play internationally. Agile and confident and with a good long pass, he'll be hoping to secure a permanent first team spot.
Jsha St. Dhads #41
– Adi Saa Academicals - RW – age 21
Jsha (pronounced eye-sha) is arguably the most curious selection for the squad. The nineteen year old from a second division club being practically unknown. Mukalo Rotanapai's reasoning, 'She's the best right winger Paradystopia currently has.' You know what?, he's got a point ...
Ijn Fwakkatakkatta #52
– Dzias Riot – CM - age 22
An often overlooked midfielder, improving with every match played. Ijn has a real chance to impress not only Mukalo this CE, but the scouts of bigger clubs also.
Viaddin Tarcka #13
– Djnamo Sabrjk – CAM - age 29
Viaddin Tarcka is Paradystopia's most well known footballer. Highly respected amongst his peers and an excellent midfielder. Viaddin has twice turned down the captaincy of the national team on the grounds that he wouldn't want the responsibility to affect his game. A long-shot specialist, accurate passer, clever technician. Viaddin is a truly great all-round player.

Forwards

Ghengjs Aafjlh #27
– Red Star ve Mirrun – age 28
Another permanent reserve player, Ghengjs is strong and tall, providing defenders with plenty of problems from corners and set-pieces. A little sluggish in comparison to the other forwards, Ghengjs makes up for this with a blisteringly powerful shot which, if on target, can catch dozing defenses off guard.
Logan Danks #51
– Whilliumiborough Swagger – age 16
A very young choice for a back-up striker, but hoping to simply get some time with the team to develop on a personal level.
Luke Benjamin #10
– Nhorton vo Mirrun - STR – age 23
Having become somewhat of a veteran of international football for Paradystopia at a young age, Luke is heralded to go down in the history books as one of Paradystopia's greatest players. A dangerous turn of pace, an accurate and powerful shot and a composed demeanor, Luke is the talisman for Paradystopi glory.
Jay-jay Jabez #30
– Inland Peaks FC (Vilita) – STR/CF - age 20
Jay-jay really is an unknown quantity. Youthful exuberance and seemingly limitless energy are the two main factors in his favour. However, when he plays well, he's among the best young strikers in the game. On a bad day, he'll be lucky to complete a pass successfully.
Dalila ve'de Ohltbuerg'fult #46
– Black Star ve Kwjg – STR/CF - age 23
Another young striker hoping to either get a little exposure, progress and gain valuable experience within the national squad. Dalila is tall and strong and can be a forceful presence in the air.

"The Pointy Thing"
Mukalo Rotanapai, along with assistant Chester Kat, has devised this strategum for Paradystopia's World Cup campaign. The tactics hinge upon a solid defense with a flexible, yet spearheaded attack. The five-strong defense acts as both a blockade and a base for attack with forward impetus coming from the wings or the centre, via the intermediary defensive midfielder. The team will hold onto possession, playing short pass-and-move football around the defense looking for the opportunistic surprise attack or deliberate slow build-up play. The midfield and forwards will act as one unit, scouting for space and often making diagonal runs to tease defenses apart. The two central midfielders actually playing on their 'wrong' side to facilitate strikes on their stronger foot after cutting inside from the wingward runs. The central attacking midfielder will occupy the centre of this triangle, or 'pointy thing' (with the striker at the forward point) and their job will be mostly to support the attacks happening around them, from 'within'. Felix-Oscar Pfjffjjjhorhax will attack from any part of the field with blazing runs and epic dribbling with a decent success rate.

Coach: Jules Easton. What many in Chrovan would refer to as a 'World Traveler', in reality he's just vacationed in a handful of other Esportivan nations. Chrovanians don't get out much. He was selected mostly due to his familiarity with both football and international football, having been his school's premier striker back in the day and having done well enough managing the Chrovish team for the past few Compionatos. Not extraordinarily well, but well enough. With his history as a front-man, he enjoys attacking football, playing about a +4.25 on a scale of -5 to +5. He had held open tryouts before the team's debut rather than dipping into the nation's amateur league, as the standard of play there is terrible. That turned out to be a good decision.

Stating XI:
Keeper: Delmar Peck, #1. He's usually good, but when things start to go wrong, they go really wrong.
Left Back: Quincey Booner, #2. A heavy drunkard. He regularly switches between the good kind of physical player and the bad kind.
Center Back: Andrew Law, #3. A fifth-generation lawyer, his family is one of the most respected in Chrovan. He's also quite athletic.
Right Back: Rupert Eustis, #4. A simple turnip farmer. He's a quiet fellow, and very hard working.
Defensive Center: Syd Tolbert, #5. Plays professionally, allegedly. Always changes the subject when you ask where.
Left Wing: Chuck Paddon, #6. A sailor. He's a rather loud fellow, but just as hard working as Eustis.
Center: Marion Steed, #7. A horse raiser. He's gotten quick from having to chase them down.
Center: Brennan Donalds, #8. <Captain> He actually does play football for a living, in Chrovan's amateur league. It's a very amateur league, though. He's won Player of the Year seven years running.
Right Wing: Tracey Rimmer, #9. The Chrovan National Orchestra's lead percussionist, and their pickup-football team's captain.
Left Forward: Brenton Smythe, #10. The only player who's contested Donalds for Player of the Year, he usually loses out do to him being on an overall better team (whereas Donalds carries his entire team by himself).
Right Forward: Donovan Jacobson, #11. He can kick really, really hard.

Bench:
Keeper: Daryl Ingram, #12.
Defender: Nicholas Michael, #13.
Defender: Delbert Lawson, #14.
Defender: Ricki Power, #15.
Winger: Silas Bourke, #16.

Center: Bob Traves, #19.
Forward: Willard Bonham, #20.

Noble Patria tu hermosa bandera.

Sakhalin, despite being a nearly 100% ethnically russian, has their anthem in spanish due to Federal rule of the GuAlSa federation, which has formed with SJG and Alianza Albos, but the populace understand the lyrics, because at least 75% speaks Spanish fluently.

Lyrics in Spanish

¡Noble patria!, tu hermosa bandera
expresión de tu vida nos da:
bajo el límpido azul de tu cielo
blanca y pura descansa la paz.

En la lucha tenaz, de fecunda labor,
que enrojece del hombre la faz;
conquistaron tus hijos - labriegos sencillos -
eterno prestigio, estima y honor,

¡Salve, oh tierra gentil!
¡Salve, oh madre de amor!
Cuando alguno pretenda tu gloria manchar,
verás a tu pueblo, valiente y viril,
la tosca herramienta en arma trocar.

¡Salve, oh patria!, tu pródigo suelo
dulce abrigo y sustento nos da;
bajo el límpido azul de tu cielo,
¡vivan siempre el trabajo y la paz!

Lyrics in English

Noble homeland, your beautiful flag
Proof of your life it gives us
Under the unsullied blue of your skies,
Peace rests, white and pure.

In the tenacious struggle of fruitful toil,
That which brings a glow to men's faces,
Your sons, simple farm hands,
Gained eternal renown, esteem and honor.
Eternal renown, esteem and honor.

Hail, gentle homeland!
Hail, mother of love!
When anyone should attempt to besmirch your glory,
You will see your people, valiant and virile,
The rustic tool into a weapon transform.

Hail, O homeland! Your prodigal soil
Sweet shelter and sustenance gives us.
Under the unsullied blue of your sky,
May peace and labor ever live!

Lyrics in Russian

Благородный родина, ваша красивый флаг
выражение вашей жизни дает нам;

Сладкий дает нам средства к существованию и жилья;
под прозрачной синеве вашего неба
Всегда жить работу и мира!

Ares-y-Penthesilea

The twin emirate at the mouth of the River Nekron is sending a team made of reluctant academics and goddesses. Not exatly known for their athletic prowess, or even their hand-eye coordination, it is nonetheless thanks to the efforts of enthusiastic extra-curricular activities organiser Kain Aristarchus that the people of the twin emirate find themselves here. In an ambitious program of physical activity that somehow made it past the executive committee of the Dual Universities Administrative Facility, Aristarchus was given the power to enforce students onto his keep-fit programs, with the progressive elders of the board believing that physical health will promote mental health; thereby improving marks.

In a moment of high spirits, he signed up all the staff of the universities as well, believing it would show solidarity with the students. And whilst this was not necessarily a popular decision, the teaching staff went along with it, and this squad is made up of those members of either Ares or Penthesilea University that are, unbelievably, still yet to fulfil their credit obligations for the module in order to pass.

Despite this not being their first CE, they don't have much hope for anything more constructive than the completion of their courses.

GOALKEEPER
Dr. Myrrine Papadopoulos - Lecturer (Human Geography), 45
One of the staff members who took to playing rather well, she's the only person here by choice. Well, only human here by choice. Aside from Aristarchus and Michelakakis. She completed her course commitment but came back to help the team as they'd have lacked a goalkeeper otherwise. There. She's not bad and all, but she's always behind with her essay marking, so expect to see her distracted by a pile of papers just behind the goal that she'll run to at various un-pressured points during the match.

SWEEPER
The Minotaur - Chief Librarian, 3511
Half-man. Half-bull. All-bastard. If there's one thing this master librarian hates more than students who don't return their books on time, its attackers who get past the defence. Be warned. There is nothing more he loves than going on a rampage and breaking some legs - or skulls - and only manages to avoid yellow and red cards thanks to Athena's powers of instant healing preventing the opposition from complaining too much.

LEFT BACK
Eitan Demetriou - PhD Student (Philosophy), 24
On the fast track to academic greatness, apparently, but incredibly lazy. If there's a chance, any chance, to stay back in attack, Eitan will find it, and would much prefer to engage the crowd in debate than kick a ball. This is the fourth term he's had to take the course after still not completing it.

CENTRE BACK
Prof. Aristarchus Zabat - Bursar, 63
Has found some money in the budget to get the team here, and will take a dim view of any wasting of money as a result. Money is tight in the Dual Universities, and he'll be quick to shout at anyone ripping shirts in celebration (Porphyrios), drinking the bar dry (Marinos), or just generaly causing a disturbance that might cost money (The Minot-.. well, he won't actually shout at The Minotaur. Nobody shouts at The Minotaur). Can barely kick a ball, but keeps fit.

CENTRE BACK
Prof. Nike Kokinos - Head of Faculty (Astrophysics), 59
She's not a bad player of the ball, but in any night-time games she'll be wandering around with her head in the clouds, trying to see the stars. Always trying to use motivational metaphors. They don't work.

RIGHT BACK
Suzana Antoniou - Undergraduate (Land Economy), 19
As is the case with land economy students the Multiverse over, Suzana was offered the spot on the 'easy' course so as to compete for Ares in the annual Ares vs Penthesilea boat race. However, a badly timed shoulder injury left her with nothing but her textbooks to keep her company this year, and now she's rushing to try and fulfil the course requirements so she doesn't have to do it next year and can concentrate on her rowing.

LEFT WING
Demetrios Simonides - Human Resources Secretary, 46
Has some kind of deep-seated urge to be helpful, even where it is clear his 'victims' do not want to be helped. Is constantly banging on about student welfare and staff pensions. Smokes like a chimney.

CENTRAL MIDFIELD/PLAYER-MANAGER
Kain Aristarchus - Physical Education Coordinator, 55
Perhaps not as fit as he used to be, the enthusiastic physical education coordinator is nevertheless the only one here who knows anything about the tactical side of the game, and therefore will be player manager. Despairs at the actions of his side frequently, particularly in the case of The Minotaur, but is usually helpless to do anything about it, especially in the case of The Minotaur.

CENTRAL MIDFIELD
Porphyrios Michelakakis - Gym Manager, 34
Often found hanging around Kain's side trying to look like he knows what he's doing, Porphyrios is an enthusiastic if rather pompous gym manager that takes self improvement seriously. However, Kain's course doesn't recognise bodybuilding as a valid activity and so Porphyrios has to play here. This is embarrassing to him, and he likes to try and pretend like he's there to help, not to take part, with varying degrees of success. His spindly legs and huge upper body muscles give you the appearance you're playing football against a lollipop.

RIGHT WING
Dr. Euripedes Marinos - Senior Lecturer (Medicine), 73
Nobody is really sure how this guy is still going. Usually found muttering almost inaudible notes during dissection lessons, Marinos drinks enough to be as pickled as the cadavers his students are cutting up. Always looks lost, and consequently nobody is really sure if he knows what he's doing here.

STRIKER
Athena - God of Wisdom, Immortal
Some crafty so-and-so, presumably Porphyrios or Kain, sacrificed an owl or something, and so Athena popped down from Olympus to say hello. Apparently she's a bit of a bitch when crossed, so expect to see some lethal performances. However, she is equally lethal when being crossed to, with the deity being a bit of a fox in the box by all accounts. That is, when she's not fixing the damage done by The Minotaur.
